I am absolutely disgusted! My mum complained earlier about the fact that you advertise nearly everywhere that you do gluten free and as she’s coeliac this is of a high importance! Her complaint was gaslighted by the owner who denied her experience! Absolutely shocking! My sister picked up a menu to which there was a symbol for gluten free but it was not next to any food on the menu! Me and my sister went in to ask and the person we spoke to didn’t know (which if you’re going to advertise it everywhere, employees should know) and so she asked another person who said the chips are but are they’re cooked in the same fryer as onion rings! That is not gluten free! THAT IS CROSS CONTAMINATION AND VERY DANGEROUS! I AM ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED!

A group of us went for lunch, a couple them had been a few times before and gave great reviews. However this time they said the prices had gone up and the amount of meat given was far less. We paid around £10 each for a beef sandwich which had 2.5 slices of wafer thin meat. The person that recommended the restaurant was completely embarrassed, bless them. Unfortunately we wont be returning.

As a family of 4 adults we stopped to at here on 30th May 24. As I am coeliac we are super careful with foods I eat. Signs outside stated clearly that gluten free was catered for. My daughter enquired with staff as to what gluten free was available. Nothing! Menu’s stated gluten free gravy - nothing appeared to go with this though. I have 2 issues. DO NOT state you have gluten free if you don’t- you could hospitalise someone and in this day and age you need to think carefully about your menus and staff training. Did not eat here - went to garden centre and had lovely meal with food issues catered for.

Don’t expect a gourmet meal, good honest belly filling food. Reasonable priced with a good selection. My main reason for writing this review was the service. Service that in my mind went above and beyond. My server cared about what she was doing, she enquired if I had enough cheese on my baguette as she placed it on the table. It may seem trivial but It showed she cared about what she was offering and my opinion. I noted they had a sign saying “Awarded by the mystery shopper” I can honestly see why they got this reward. Keep up the good work your star rating will go up guaranteed.

My daughter had some cheesy chips. She left some. As I was eating a couple. As some were quite hard. A bit of a chip got stuck at back of my throat. I was really coughing very loudly. Couldn't shift it. To which 2 of the young waitresses walked around the area we were sitting but did not ask if I was OK. Or offered me drink of water. So because I was coughing loudly. I said to my hubby let's go not fair on other diners eating there. I have always had a positive experience each time been here before. Not happy on this occasion

I visited the rotisserie on Boxing Day and I have to say myself and my family really enjoyed our meals. The staff are nice excellent and are very friendly and the customer service is outstanding. The prices are really great and affordable . The blonde lady I think that is the manager was amazing and showed us with caring features . Thank u for our meal !!!! We look forward to our next visit

Popped in for lunch after some shopping, where we were welcomed by a lovely member of staff called Sarah, she kindly introduced herself and helped us by talking us through the menu. You can tell that it is well organised and the staff are all very kind and always happy to help and it was a very pleasant experience! Thank you for a lovely meal and even better service !

Staff so friendly, helpful and chatty even though it was very busy on a Christmas eve! Didn't have to wait too long, lovely menu and choice of sides. Reasonable and a nice setting. Definitely worth a visit if you're at Trentham!

I'm not a great one for writing reviews but I was so overwhelmed by the fantastic service we received at Rotisserie today that I felt duty bound to do so. December 23rd, Saturday mid-day and not surprisingly Trentham Gardens was heaving with visitors. There were 11 of us, meeting up together to swap presents and have a bite to eat. We decided on Rotisserie because it offered such a varied menu with everything reasonably priced. Despite there being a long queue to order (the food is served fresh), it was a very efficient and organised system and we soon got to the counter. Even better, rather than wait for the food to be handed over, because of the numbers of orders involved our order was taken and drinks handed over whilst we waited for the food to come all together at the table, As a result, we were able to chat and relax instead of having to wait at the till area. It took only took a few minutes to bring it all out and there were regular checks to make sure everything was ok. As you might expect, we forgot one main meal but instead of having to go back and re-queue, it was immediately sorted out and Sarah, the manager, was brilliant - friendly and courteous, making us feel we really mattered which isn't always the case these days and doubly so given it was one of the busiest days of the year. Everyone working there was so helpful - plenty of smiley faces and a willingness to go above and beyond. Sarah appears to have got a lovely set of staff working both with and for her and she helped make what could have been a hectic lunch on such a busy day a very enjoyable occasion. And to cap it all, it was very good value too. Well done to all at Rotisserie!

Shocking rude would not recommend unless there was different staff in there well female staff shocking

After sitting down for our lunch we were followed (very swiftly) by a member of staff that shouted we had not paid for the latte. The latte was definitely ordered along with a can, a bottle of water and 3 pork baps. We offered to pay for the drink but the waitress made a scene about the drink having not been paid for and that she would get the receipt to prove it. This was not our mistake but will not be going back. This situation could have been handled very differently.

We chose the baguettes, it's not as big as a 6" sub, I chose the turkey with Salad and unfortunately it was super dry, the baguette was too dry and the turkey was nearly inedible, was told there's gravy and sauces but with salad?? (only lettuce , tomatoes, onion available) The wife had beef which was better but still a cheap baguette, £8.75 so not cheap, add on £1.80 each for x2 cans of coke and it's over £21 😔😔 also a few more people were returning meals, so unfortunately disappointing

Food was OK, burger was nice chips a little greasy. If the staff spent less time checking their phones and more time checking cutlery was clean, that would be a good step forward.

9.50 for pork baps ( pork fatty) £12.50 for salad which took ages to arrive . Prices are way too high won’t be going again .

This place is fantastic. The staff are so friendly and helpful and my chicken burger and chips was beautiful. I’ll definitely be back when I’m next in the area. 10/10.

Visited Rotisserie for lunch, to be fair the food looked good however when we sat down to eat it was stone cold, £4.50 for a bowl of chips and we had Turkey baps £22.00 in total we wont be visiting again unfortunately. Staff are friendly manager not so.

Went there 3/6/21. Been many many times before. From the chaos behind the counter it was obvious the boss man wasn’t present. Two baps ordered and side order of chips. Blond girl customer side very helpful to deaf person in front of me, good. One sandwich done, person serving me had to go and get more baps, then left to deal with problem on till. Several minutes later back to finish serving me. Served bap going cold. Asks me if we want chips, yes. Pays at till mentions and pays for chips. No chips, sandwiches half eaten. Goes till asks where chips are. Sandwiches consumed. Blond girl brings chips and complimentary crisps biscuits. Explained too late, wanted chips with sandwich, not as a second course. She then became brusque instead of apologetic. I’d paid with card and when I stood at till, she held out coins and said £3.50 and tipped them in my hand, turned away spoke to another customer and dismissed my presence. No apology for spoiling the experience of our first outing after lockdown. The only good thing was the ambulance charity collector got the £3.50. A bit of customer interface training required. Don’t think we’ll be back.

Stopped off here whilst we were wondering the retail village. First time eating here and certainly won't be our last! Worth a drive out there just for the baguette in the future. Visited on a tuesday morning , so managed to get a table easily.Decided to splash out and treat ourselves to nice food , after visiting the nearby Monkey Forest and looking around the retail village whilst in the area. We chose the Hot Roast Beef Baguettes and could add whatever toppings you wanted. (They served them die to covid restrictions at the moment) I had onions, apple sauce , stuffing and gravy on mine, all piled on top of the pile of well cooked beef. Hubby added salad as well. The certainly dont scrimp on the meat and toppings.Made it really tasty, served in a tray on choice of white or brown baguette.Ate it on their outside tables, and had to use a knife and fork as there was so much . Really enjoyed it, it was like a really juicy meal.All washed down with a 'special' hot chocolate , with cream and marshmallows. That has also got to be the best hot chocolate we have ever tasted.Tables were being very well cleaned down as soon as vacated. Staff very friendly and seemed very appreciative of us complimenting them on the food afterwards. Will definitely be returning for another of those hot baguettes.

It's been a while since my family have been out for a family meal and for my birthday we chose the Rotisserie set in the loverly Trentham Gardens Estate.I have spesific dietary requirements ant the staff treat me as any person and are very accomadating. Staff are second to none polite helpful happy what more can a customer ask for? OK fantastic food cooked to a perfect T.. Ordered a turkey baguette, tiniest portion of meat that just covered the bread, with sloppy stuffing and apple sauce. The man who was carving was not interested, no salad offered. No taste to the baguette, just edible. Service at the till chaotic with the staff member leaving the till with out saying why, another person turned up before original lady returned. Food then cold! No clear instructions on COVID 19 precautions, for example did you just choose an outside seat or wait to be taken to a table.

I took my niece here so she could feed her 4 week old baby and ordered a coffee and cake. The staff were so lovely and accommodating and made sure my niece was spoiled. Thank you, you made her day.

Ordered a large brunch meal today and the sausages were well undercooked and pale as ice, the black pudding was stale like it had been lying around on a shelf for months. The bacon was stringy too. I couldn't eat much of it at all, so sickly. Staff not very mannerly either. Saw the server put my sausages back into the microwave before putting them out on my plate. I won't be going there again. Popped in for lunch out the wind and rain and it was brilliant as ever. They carve your chou e of meat and put it on the bread you've chosen and you help yourself to salad and sauces. Absolutely spot on like a sandwich carvery.

Ate here today after a walk up the hills. I ordered a cold ham sandwich, it came out freshly made and I was able to help myself to wholegrain mustard, other sauces and salad. My husband and son had the hotdogs and they were able to get freshly cooked onions from the counter to put on top of the hotdog. A large portion of chip were also requested and these were massive. None of the food was greasy and we all enjoyed what we ate.What stood out for me was the kind friendly staff, they offered help to an elderly man if he needed it, they were happy to provide my son with several glasses of tap water and offered us menus to look at whilst when we went in the door to save us looking up and the menu above the counter. The meats on offer looked tender and we will return to try them.

There was nothing here I fancied to eat - too much of a carb fest! My daughter had a burger and chips - and left it....too greasy and had a full leaf of iceberg lettuce wedged in it. Not appetising at all and the man that cooked it wasn't either! Would not recommend to anyone

Very busy when we went and you have to queue for the food. There is quite a good variety on the menu but mainly it is meat carved from a selection of about three and served in a bap, roll or baguette. There is stuffing and sauces available in the price but some foods shown ie bacon is extra. Service was quite good and this place is quite good if you just want something quick and not where you can relax for a little while.

We went to get a quick snack after a lovely walk through the Staffordshire hills. We each got a hotdog. They took 25% off an already cheap meal. Then gave us a gigantic portion of chips and some ice cream! They kept checking on us offering us drinks and snacks! I was amazed. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone

There was a wonderful display of hot joints of meat to make up hot sandwiches etc. but we chose the stew and it was delicious.

We visited today for the first time and are astounded by the rudeness of staff..me and my family will not be returning and our complaint has been sent to Trentham Gardens direct. If you are going to run a customer facing business at least make sure the staff have people skills enabling them to do so.

30 August 2019...After a long Day at Trentham Gardens/Monkey Forest, both me and my grandson were more than ready for a hot meal. We checked out all the food places in the village and Rotisserie was our choice. Got there, all the hot food had gone, but Sarah the Manager didn't let us go hungry, she went out of her way to cook us both hot dogs and chips followed by a drink and delicious ice cream. I can't thank her enough for what she did and the smile she put on my grandson's face. Not only that we enjoyed a great atmophere and good conversation....Good people Really Good People

We visit Rotisserie when we are at Trentham Gardens. This time we were with our Granddaughter. All the staff were polite ,and helpful. Sarah the Manager gave us free coffee when we said the first one wasn't hot. Then she said our Granddaughter could have a free ice cream. We also got a voucher for free hot drinks when we next visited. That put a smile on our faces. Smashing place...the variety of food is great also.Top marks for Rotisserie!

Have visited here several times before. We went in around 12.30, several people in front of us. What I like about this place is the fact it always the same. Staff are friendly and very polite. There was a elder waitor who was zooming around clearing up and helping anyone that needed help, so polite and cheerful. It is very reasonable priced. Latte coffee was good too. Will be revisiting when back at trentham. Good atmosphere and very clean.

Large choice of food outlets at this location but a nice gentleman the Rotisserie invited us to come and have a look at what they had to offer. Great selection of spit roasted meats -beef, pork, turkey. We both chose the beef on a choice of caramelised onion baguette. Melt in the mouth beef on lovely bread, good portion of meat and then you can choose from a selection of toppings and accompaniements including caramelised onions, stuffings, choice of gravy, help yourself to fresh salad and horseradish, gravy etc etc. Superb value for £5.99 - couldn't eat anything else for the rest of the day. Oh and excellent decaf tea. Cant wait to go back

First time visiting here today but been meaning to try for a while, the waitress Sarah was so helpful, helped me find a table and let me go back in for salad as I was struggling to carry the tray, the hot beef baguettes are so yummy, beef was tender and plenty of extras to choose from, I will 100% be returning

Been here before so we knew what to expect. The rotisserie is almost non stop. If you have one of the roast baps you wont forget it in a hurry. They pile them high with delicious fresh roasted meat (choices available) and your choice toppings. Salad bar right there. If you order chips be prepared to tackle a good helping. There are all sorts of other options including a range of breakfast items (full english down to bacon sandwich). We had the small english with toast and coffee and it is delivered to your table. Not too long to wait despite loads of customers. This place is nearly always busy and it is obvious why. Not a place to dawdle and chat but if you want good food at reasonable prices almost immediately (not counting small queue at door ), this is the place... Do not be put off by small queue. Chap who runs it keeps it moving non stop.

When eating out at attraction food outlets l generally expect a mediocre meal so selected rotisserie with not much hope of a good meal. Delighted to say l was totally wrong!! I had a pork baguette which was freshly prepared in front of me with a choice of several breads. The meat was carved and piled on, you then help yourself to salad items, apple sauce, fried onions etc. A portion of chips was requested, these where cooked fresh whilst the baguettes were being prepared and were excellent. A mug of tea rounded off the lunch all at a very good value for money price. First class and Highley recommended.

The Rotisserie food is gorgeous, my all time favourite is their Roast Pork seeded baton. Other carvery meats of Turkey, Beef and Lamb are also there to choose from, then you choose what you want to add to your bap/baton eg stuffing, apple or cranberry sauce, mint sauce fried onions etc. Then a big choice of salad. They also do an all day breakfast and various other meals. The food is amazing and the staff are fabulous and there is indoor and outdoor seating. Can't rate the place enough.

I really like this place. I've never been before til today. I had the traditional breakfast. Everything was cooked to perfection and was soo tasty and served at the perfect temperature. It was absolutely delicious! The best breakfast I have ever eaten in my life. Thank you! My friend had the soup and she said that was delicious too. Really nice, helpful, friendly staff. Served quicky. Couldn't fault the place. I like the layout too. Perfect ambience - not too noisy like alot of places and not depressingly quiet either. I give the Rotisserie 10/10 on everything. Can't wait to come back and try the baguettes they looked amazing too. I love dining out but I'm usually disappointed. But I was delighted with the Rotisserie! Thanks again. Keep up the good work.

We live locally and are therefore fairly frequent visitors here and can honestly say that we have always been delighted with the food served. The staff are always polite and very welcoming. One of the best venues to eat in if visiting The Trentham Estate, they provide excellent value for money and are highly recommended.

Just had a soft bap (there is a choice of bread) with a generous two slices of tender slow cooked beef. Choice of toppings and salad. Very good, tasty and value for money. Service very good.

Avoid at all costs not worth your money! Over 20 quid for 2 people on piss poor food. The mega breakfast is vile, burnt bacon soggy hashbrowns and tomatoes, mushrooms that have seen better days. Cold beans. My wife had a meat baguette, the meat was dry and obviously a day old it has no taste To it, the 'toppings' looked just as bad stuffing you can't even get off the spoon, the salads again looked a day old. Them onions are not camelized at all. Only good thing was the coffee but you can't go wrong when it comes out of a machine. We didn't complain as we weren't sure who the manager was it was either the old man behind the counter, which by the way need to cover his chest hair no very appealing when he's carving. I hope it's not the lady with dark hair and glass she looked more confused with every minute, misserable staff to poor quality food. Best part was a lovely lady with blonde hair she only thing that gives this business a little bit of life very helpful. On a end note I think the hygiene place needs to reconsider the 5 * on this place

At the end of a busy bank holiday monday all we wanted was some "comfort food". Really friendly and engaging guy behind the counter gave us exactly what was called for. The stew was really rich and flavoursome and the baguettes were every which way we wanted them. Good choice of cakes and drinks too. Prices were very reasonable too.

Visited with my partner and kids all looked well to begin with. Easter Sunday we decided to go for a walk around the gardens. We saw this places the meats look amazing until we had food the burgers are dry and taste funny. The baguettes are stale the topping I was I could help my self to we're Luke warm. That staff are rude. The kids meals are pathetic tiny bit of chips and a burnt burger or cold hot dog vile. The price is ridiculous as well better places to at Trentham I advise people to stat away from here.

Lovely choices of meats they all looked well cooked. I had the turkey and my husband the roast pork. Very tasty you help yourself to stuffing, apple sauce, sauces, lettuce ,tomatoes,onion. Tables were cleared quickly and staff really friendly and helpfull. Will return. Reasonable priced at £5.99 each.

Lunch time and reasonably busy. Guy behind the counter who was dealing with what looked a very fine carvery . Big cheerfull smile to greet me and took my order for an all day full English. Went to pay and another big smile from a very nice lady on the till who asked if I wanted a drink. Then pointed out where cutlery and sauces were. Tables were clean and food came out quickly again another smile. Highly recommended with a good variety of food available.

My girlfriend and I went in for lunch we had two baguettes my girlfriend left hers

We came for lunch earlier today and yet again it was lovely! The food was fresh and hot. The customer service is second to none, made to feel so welcome! Lovely little restaurant, worth making a journey! Great value for money aswell.

We only managed to have a coffee here as we got here late but staff were friendly and others were eating and seemed to be enjoying their food.

A busy Saturday shopping, we decided to stop here for lunch. What a great find.

You usually have to queue for a short while but well worth it when you are faced with beautiful joints of meat that are freshly carved in front of you to go on your choice of bread ( plenty of meat is carved per portion) then on to a selection of extras to choose from , g ravies chutney stuffing salad and more plus the staff are lovely . If you sit outside there are patio heaters to keep you warm . Love it here!

What caught our attention here is the quality of food they served. The meat is juicy, the cake is exceptionally brilliant and tasted and felt so homemade. The girl at the counter was friendly, too. We wondered if the ingredients here are all locally sourced because we noted a number of farms along the way.

Always good food & service. Well worth a visit.We had the roast in a baguette, you get to choose your roast and type of baguette, then add your salad, garnishes etc.

My partner queued and asked for a breakfast bap. She was not aware that she could have salad, surely she should have been made aware, there was also a customer in front of my partner and he asked for a plate for the salad. The lady serving who had dark red hair virtually thrust the plate at the other customer.

Popped in for a drink & possibly food. Was served by such a miserable, mono syllabic man that we grabbed a drink & left. Pity as a smile costs nothing & they lost 'a sale'.

I am reviewing Rotisserie on it’s service alone. Due to treatment I am currently having I am finding it difficult to eat. I ordered some chips which came in a huge basket freshly cooked and looked lovely. The waitress could see I was struggling to eat them and came over and offered me toppings. I explained my situation and she was so friendly, going out of her way to make sure I was okay. I left the shop without eating and she ran after me with a refund for my chips. I am only sorry I didn’t get her name. Thank you

We stopped in to have a coffee, not too long after breakfast and i was so annoyed as they were serving some delicious looking turkey baguettes with stuffing & gravy. I will be back to try them!!

Called in for lunch ,always good meats especially the roast beef with crispy outer ,all very nice and will visit next time .

My wife and children visited the Rotissere in Trentham for the first time today. Being regular visitors of Trentham gardens we decided to have a change a go for a late breakfast here. The food itself was enjoyable but the atmosphere was terrible. In particular the lady who served us (dark hair) was extremely rude and seemed to be abusive to other staff members. You couldn’t help but hear her shouting and she and even seemed annoyed at having to serve us? deffinitely far from a “service with a smile.” Banging equipment and being very unprofessional. Although the food was good we will not be returning and will stick to our normal lunch at David’s.
