I ordered pistachio baklava, but what I received was made with green peas instead of pistachios. This is very misleading and dishonest. I’m disappointed in this delivery and won’t be ordering again.

Chicken fatteh here is a must. We got a complimentary delicious spicy chutney with lamb shank. Generous portions. Their teapot is so cute.

This is very nice place for Shisha lovers and food was quite good.

🚨Came here a couple of times with my fiancée. We had a great time at the hookah lounge. However, on two occasions that she came here on her own, a mysterious man sat with her. On his second time approaching her, he admitted to instructing the staff to call him whenever she was in the restaurant (and another restaurant called Carlo’s BBQ), particularly Persian guests. The strange man never showed up when she was with other people. It would be great if staff didn’t call him when she comes here to enjoy hookah. Other than these two incidents, it’s not a bad place. I recommend the food, but if you’re a persian woman, tell the staff that you don’t want them to call that strange man who will invite himself to join you (if you prefer to be alone). Not sure what the agreement is between the strange man and Rotana management. The strange man is a proprietor of his own accounting service in Cambridge.

Delivery was 1hr15, food was room temperature. Harissa was open and spilled over everything, kubbeh was smashed to pieces. I have taken photos. Disappointing, I order from here regularly!

Rotana is everything you’d expect of a local east-end place in a given Arabic city. The food is great, especially the chicken taouk and lamb shish.

usually the food was good there i ordered chicken fateh yesterday which i ordered before also but yestrrdays order its full of chick peas and less chicken i was disappointed

The food was so bad. Cold, super spicy, kebab was even hard to cut. Chicken wasn’t fresh. Wings were raw.

Order still not arrived 2 hours after ordering. Nobody answering phone. Bitterly disappointed and ragingly hungry

Don't order food from here trust me I waited more then 1 hour for it to come and after i eat the food I was sick all night I nearly died its was disgusting

the burger was poor it came wrapped in tin foil and then in cling film which made the burger bun wet and the chips were in polystyrene box wrapped in cling film,these polystyrene boxes, cling film make the food wet and soggy,you need to up your game use cardboard boxes and give better service , we didn't eat it put it straight in the bin, we will not be using you again

Even though there was a mishap with the delivery, the man I spoke to on the phone, dealt with the situation promptly and was apologetic. The food was plenty full and delicious and the service is second to none.

The worst grill I've ever tried, no love or care put into the dish and to think I paid £12 for a main course x2 for me and my partner for 2 kofta, rice which had a slight going off smell when opened (egg smell) salad was cut up so small it was just mush! The dips/sauces that came with this meal came in plastic food bags which is so weird and careless packing when it could have been put in a plastic pot which the salad was in.. very rushed, food definitely wasn't fresh so a big let down for £25!

Food quality was terrible, the meat was boiled and mushy, and then put on a flame to give the illusion it was BBQ'd. Completely flavourless. Wings were also boiled, then grilled with a peri-peri sauce and were possibly acceptable if you like gummy chicken skin on a wing. Salad was wilted and sour (it is a hot day so I assume from the travel here) and vine leaves are out of a tin. Chips were clearly old. A lot of food was sent that ended up in the bin. Really disappointing experience.

Order never arrived. Tried to phone over 27 times but phone line straight to busy. Order was marked as delivered. They never attempted to even phone me. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

The juiciest, most flavourful mixed grill and Turkish rice I’ve ever had. The salad is Taboleh instead of the usual lettuce and cabbage. Freshly homemade and absolutely delicious. The kibbeh is the best I’ve had European wide, absolutely stunning. Will be ordering again as soon as possible!

I have been a regular patron of Rotana Cafe for some time, but my recent visits have left me extremely disappointed. It is clear that the service level has significantly deteriorated. One of the primary issues is the new staff, including some of the female staff members, who are causing disruptions. Their lack of experience is glaringly evident, and their disrespectful behavior towards customers is unacceptable. Communication with the staff is poor, making it frustrating and time-consuming to even get a simple drink. What used to be a pleasant experience has now become a chore. Customer service is virtually non-existent. The staff appear disinterested and inattentive, often ignoring requests or responding rudely. It seems like they have not been properly trained and have no understanding of how to provide a quality service. This is not what I expect from Rotana Cafe, which used to be a welcoming and enjoyable place to visit. Customers have the right to speak up about the quality of service, and it is essential for the management to address these issues promptly. Certain staff members clearly lack the respect and experience needed to maintain the cafe's reputation. Until these problems are resolved, I cannot recommend Rotana Cafe to others.

First time I have ordered from here and the mixed grills we ordered were fabulous! 😋 Beautifully presented and cooked to perfection, The salad was fresh and delicious, Rice was fluffy and they both complimented the whole meal, Complimentary Baklava thrown in as well 🙂 I highly recommend and we will be regulars if this standard is maintained! 🔥😉 Keep up the good work! 👏🥳

The estimated time was already a broad range but driver was late anyway (almost 2 h from the order). Food was almost completely cold despite being well packaged.

Bit of a let down. The portion sizes are decent but the quality / taste of the food was poor. The rice in particular was very mushy / wet and unappetising. The "homemade" chilli sauce tasted like bottled buffalo sauce. Unlikely to order again.

Oh my days. The best takeaway food I’ve had in Cambridge and I’ve been living here for 2 years.

I ordered on just eat yesterday night. I never received my order, I tried to call several times but no answer and at the end I didn’t receive any refund either.

I was really very impressed by their food, they delivered to me at a hotel I was staying at last night. I don’t really leave reviews very often but they deserve it. Everything was very fresh and the flavours very profound. Their homemade sauces were spot on and tasted great and they really managed to get the Smokey charcoal flavour into their food which usually not many places manage to get that right due to trying to produce food at speed etc. I’d definitley eat their food again and highly recommend trying it to anyone if you enjoy fresh, BBQ/smokey flavours.

The place and staff are very welcoming, the new menu is very nice especially the grill and reasonably priced so great for students, very happy with my experience here. Shisha in the back garden was very nice as well. Would recommend to come and try.

I tried this again even if my last order with them was not great. The amount of fries with the mix grill is just ridiculously small!!! I am honestly disappointed as out of three time I ordered food with that restaurant , 2 times were not a good experience. I think I will avoid it from now.

Terrible shisha , didn’t last for more than 10 mins , was given probably a used one, I asked him to fix it and it was still was terrible , I smoke shisha regularly so I know when it’s bad quality bc they are trying to save money , also I ordered only mint tea and explained to the waiter I don’t want a green tea bag but he still gave me a cup with green tea bag despite me explicitly telling him I want mint leaves only ! Don’t recommend shisha for foreigners here , they treat the Arabic speaking customers better and disrespect others customers and then pretend that they don’t speak English , you live Cambridge and you don’t speak English??? Save your money and smoke shisha elsewhere ! Typical Arab mentality ! Avoid at all costs !

Our salad was fresh and vibrant, meat dishes were flavourful and tasty and cooked well. I would particularly recommend the Grilled chicken strip. Good communication from a nice man regarding my order which was satisfactorily rectified. We weren't disappointed at all and thought we had good value for money. I will be ordering again in the future. Thank you.

Chicken shish with rice salad and sauces..the chicken was absolutely amazing the rice was tasty with fresh salad and mayonnaise…highly recommended and the price was good aswell…

Often get mixed grills, this was so well cooked with a lovely chargrilled taste. Portion & mixture of meats, salad & rice above average from other restaurantswe have used in the area. My partner had the chicken shish meal again cooked perfect & the salad / rice so nice.

I travelled 200 miles to Cambridge for a work trip and looked on Deliveroo for something local to eat once arrived at my AirBnB, they kindly travelled out to the suburbs to deliver in person. I was incredibly surprised, I ordered a mixed kebab dish with rice which was nothing other than stunning, very skillfully cooked, melt in the mouth flavours, like tasting every note in a fine wine but with spices, clearly carefully crafted cooking and attention to detail in the taste and presentation. Best kebab dish I have had in my life and I say this as someone who has travelled abroad to countries where kebab is a traditional dish.
