We went as a family on a week off for some of the massive sundaes, and weren’t disappointed at all! They were amazing! Whilst we were there, we spotted some of the burgers coming out which looked brilliant, so we decided to go again later in the week. All of the food we’ve had has been absolutely superb, can’t complain at all and the staff were lovely! Will definitely be returning!

Had dinner here, and have to say the food was great. Was a little let down by some aspects of the service. - We’d finished dinner and wanted to order more drinks (we were taking part in the quiz too) but there seemed to be no one about to order from. It also meant our empty plates sat with us for a while, as if we’d been forgotten about. In the end went an ordered directly at the till. - Ordered desserts without cream, they arrived with cream. Told the staff straight away, who dealt with it, was just frustrating considering how long we’d waited to order them in the first place. - When the desserts arrived the waiter put the tray down and walked off. Having worked in catering, I was always taught you put the food in front of the customer and then took the tray with you. The way this was done, it felt like a drop and go ‘sort yourself out’ attitude. I appreciate this is a cafe and not a 5* restaurant, but some tweaks in the service would have made the experience better. Have to say again, the food we did have was great and would definitely recommend it.

Roskilly’s is one of our favourite places to eat in Cornwall. Everything they offer is exceptional from the fantastic pizza selection to the loaded chips to the burgers. All extremely high quality at very reasonable prices. We have been coming here for 22 years but the last four years due to Covid etc we haven’t been.it was the St Keverne silver band playing live tonight so we arrived at 5pm to get a table. It’s not changed at all, still the lovely rustic courtyard and outbuildings and Croust House as always. Lovely to see one can now camp there! So the pizzas were excellent but despite our large appetites one would have bern sufficient between two of us especially with chips which were also lovely. Two of our party had the £35 steak which was nearly a kilo of the most tender beef they had ever tasted and well worth the money, the biggest plate of food including spare ribs. The band were fantastic and it was such a lovely evening. One word though, the St Keverne band are absolutely BRILLIANT, I think there are about 25 members and they are very loud. A number of dogs including mine found it too loud with cymbals and drums so had to be taken off. We loved it but next time I’ll leave my dog behind. There is a lovely walk through ponds with ducks and seating where you could really spend the day mooching around in the great outdoors. Really friendly staff, we LOVE it. Disabled friendly too.

Having seen the Roskilly name around, I’d expected this to be a big corporate style venue however we were very pleasantly surprised. This feels like a lovely family farm. We had a pizza and burger which were both delicious. We are on the garden/terrace area which was a lovely place to sit with an outdoor bar, we then had a wander around the farm which was lovely followed by an ice cream. The fudge is delicious!

What a find this place was! We were staying nearby & had planned to pop in for breakfast (fabulous bacon!) before a coast path walk. Whilst there we noticed they do food into the early evening and the menu looked really interesting, with lots of veggy options too. We visited again that evening and what a treat it was. We had a selection of the ‘smaller plates’ and it was some of the best food we have had for a while. Lovely atmosphere with the wood burner going in the evening. Would make a good venue for a group too. All the food passing us from the wood-fired oven looked amazing, as was ours! Just be aware of their opening times, they were closing at 19:30 but worth the effort to get there for an early evening meal.

We booked a family meal weeks ago to celebrate my 60th birthday only to recieve a phone call at 8.50 (the evening before we were due to go), cancelling our booking! Not for covid (we could understand that), but because the caller said they were "closed on a Tuesday evening". We checked the website - this information had gone up only 3 days prior to our arrival on the Lizard. A call 3 days before would have been really anoying but at twenty to nine the night before?!! My family had done their research and booked a treat, I dont know who was more upset, them or me - what a let down! :(

We visited on a rainy August day during the Covid-19 pandemic so understandably not everything was accessible or available. We were really interested in the ice-cream but also enjoyed some Cornish Pasties while we were there. They were maybe not the cheapest but we’re extremely tasty with plenty of proper hunks of meat, not mince and overly stuffed with potatoes. The ice-cream was excellent very reasonably priced and sufficiently large cones that we all had kids servings.A shame not everything was open but that was no-ones fault and worth a visit just for the ice-cream...

What a treat to be met by a field full of kind eyed Jersey cattle quietly grazing and observing the comings and goings of visitors. We’d come for a light lunch and after just a short wait enjoyed a delicious Ciabatta roll with tea and coffee. By chance we shared a table with an elderly (94) gentleman who was visiting with his corgi companion from the next door village of St Keverne. What a life of tales he had to tell.As he departed we returned indoors for some gorgeous Orange & Mascarpone and Chocolate ice cream to take home. We love Roskillys and come a few times a year. My favourite food is their pulled pork pizza. It’s lovely to watch cows being milked (not possible to see milking currently as CV-19) and to wander around and see the animals. In the summer evenings, (non COVID times) they have live music sometimes too. It has a lovely atmosphere.Obviously, you need to have an early ice cream- they’re all delicious. The only thing that’s negative is that 95% of the time the toilets are gross- bins not emptied and floor not regularly mopped. Hot water has never been turned on when I’ve been there- wish they’d sort this out!Otherwise, highly recommended!

A real shame that our visit this time was so poor. We have visited every year for the past 5/6 years and it is such a shame that our trip this time was so dreadful. The quality of the food was awful. The ham was so salty. We waited 45mins for two toasties when there were only two other tables in there. We had to chase the food as we got fed up of waiting. The food was saturated in fat and the chips were rubbery as if they had been reheated in the microwave. It wasn’t all bad as the tea and lemonade we had was lovely but a shame the food was so dreadful. The ice cream cabinets were almost empty and what was there looked all icy like it had been there some time. We did get our money back for the food. It would put us off returning out of season as every other visit has been in the height of the summer. It is almost like they have taken their foot off the gas because it is almost winter. A real disappointment.

We enjoy visiting Roskilly's, usually we take a walk and enjoy an ice cream but today we decided to stop for lunch. My Husband and i both chose sandwiches, our children had sausages from the childrens menu. All food was presented very well, my husband enjoyed his sandwich but mine was slightly disappointing. The bread tasted stale and each piece probably had an inch of butter on. Wonderful if you love butter but i found it to be just too much. It was also impossible to remove from the bread in the end i gave up but the dog had a nice lunch. As mentioned we took our well behaved dog and sat outside, halfway through our meal another family came and sat on the table behind us. They also had a dog who took an instant disliking to our dog and proceeded to bark continuously for the next 10 minutes despite our dog ignoring it. Not Roskilly's fault, but it ruined our meal which was actually my husbands birthday lunch. Our experience was such a shame as we love visiting the farm, taking a walk and enjoying an ice cream but sadly we will not be returning again for anything other than an ice cream.

Having been to Roskilly's several times before including exactly one week ago from today, we thought that we would take a friend, given we have had excellent food and service previously. After a long walk, we were desperate for a bite to eat, therefore decided that here was the best place; as we had had a lovely pizza and sandwich the weekend before. Upon arrival it didn't seem to be that busy so we assumed that food wouldn't take that long...we were wrong. I went to order a Latte with an alternative milk they to which they said they don't provide any non dairy options which I thought was ironic given that their was vegan and vegetarian food options on the menu. We had a couple of soft drinks too and the glasses were marked along with the cutlery. I can understand that in a busy time that cleaning can fall down (although it shouldn't) but they weren't exactly rushed off their feet. After waiting over half an hour for our food to arrive, the woman came over with very burnt pizza's and asked if they were okay for us and if not then they would re do them - not sure about you but I don't really order a Pizza hoping that it's burnt. Also if you, the staff member, think that a pizza is burnt should you really be serving it in the first place!!? The thing that surprised me most (given we have had nice service before) was there was no apology for their mistake overcooking the Pizza's. After taking the burnt Pizza's away we then had to wait another 20/30 minutes for the food. I noticed one of the waitresses walking from the kitchen with Pizza's in hand thinking great that's ours, she then proceeded to put them down on a random empty table outside (we were sat inside) while she went inside to a back kitchen to take a Phone call. At this point I assumed the Pizza's weren't ours, however after about 5 minutes she went back outside picked up the Pizza's and bought them in to us - to no surprise they weren't exactly warm. After finally getting to eat, the Pizza's weren't as good as (only!) a week before - the cheese was rubbery and the base was terribly oily. Overall Roskilly's really let us down and we felt embarrassed after hyping up how amazing the food and service was to the friend we took with us. It just shocked me how the quality of food and service had deteriorated over the space of exactly 1 week. I know from working in a similar environment that you can have a bad day but I feel that this was just unacceptable.

I have travelled worldwide and today had one of my best meals ever!! Roskilly Farm has been developed with creative detail and quality to the highest standard. The buildings, even to the ladies toilet are restored to the highest standards using natural materials. The attention to detail extends to stain glass windows in the restaurant echo one depicting a farm animal. The tables and chairs are high quality wood, slate etc. The nature walks guide you through beautifully nurtured land, animals and birds. Their Ice cream is my absolute favourite and can be bought locally throughout Cornwall. We had lunch, £10 each and the food was divine. Home made from scratch the salads that accompanied our meals we’re at least 4 kinds and left your tastebuds tingling with flavour. Portion sizes are large, even our men struggled to finish. The chef combines flavours together you cannot imagine and it works beautifully. I asked them to make a cook book of their food. There is something for everyone from Vegan to meat eaters. We were too full for ice cream Sundae’s and I would go back just to have one of them. We saw them being served again large portions looking scrumptious. The whole place and atmosphere leaves you feeling uplifted and inspired. Thank you Roskilly Farm for you vision and creativity done so well.

Went to Roskilly's as part of a walk and on recommendations. It was billed as the place where their ice cream was made and other than a miking shed that wasn't being used little else to do there. The outdoor seating area is covered in foliage and then there is plastic sheeting above that to make it dry seating. Tits and thrushes use this area to fly around in and you end up with bird poop falling onto your table place. So it's lucky to get Average and not be reported. Would love to have tried the smoked meats but it was only just being fired up and the prices were a bit steep so didn't get the chance or bother waiting for it. Ice cream is very pricey but it was something the kids wanted. yes it's nice but no better than high quality supermarket brands.

We visited Roskilly’s twice during our holiday - once in the afternoon where we had a cream tea and again one evening for dinner. The food on both occasions was excellent. The pizza was delicious - wood fired to order and very reasonable in price. The ice cream is delicious too, the only problem is choosing which flavours to have!

Roskilly's is known all around Cornwall for its organic ice cream in a variety of flavours. For years it has been a hotspot for tourists and locals alike, and for good reason! Recently they have branched out and now rear not only cows but turkey, pigs and goats! The service in the restaurant itself is always fast and efficient, and the staff are bubbly. There is plenty of seating and parking, as well as toilets on site. My only complaint is that in recent years the menu has become more upmarket with more extravagent meals, at higher prices. So this may not appeal to everyone who just wants a simple no fuss meal.

We called in after seeing the tourist signs for an afternoon drink. We were amazed with our find, an ice cream manufacturer, a rustic kitchen and a small farm. We chose the milkshakes which were a delight and after looking around decided to book for dinner the following evening at their “ Croust House” restaurant. The place is rustic with a ‘french’ feel but is unfortunately run down. Upon our return the following evening we arrived to a very busy outside eating court yard. We chose the steaks which was offered with a free bottle of wine, white, red or rose. The wait was not too long before our food was served. The steaks were cooked to perfection with home made chips and the red wine was a perfect accompaniment. It was such a lovely relaxed atmosphere on a busy perfect sunny evening. The best thing was the bill, only £33 for two beautiful cooked and tasting steaks and a free bottle of decent wine. Perfect.

I'm giving Roskilly's three stars, only because the pizza that my son and daughter ordered was really good, but my cream tea was very poor. The tea was nice but the scone tasted like it had been made days ago, and was very dry. Scarcely enough cream and jam, and not good value for £4.50. At other places in the locality you get two decent scones and plenty of jam and cream. I noticed too that a lot of people left salad and other food on their plates, so I am judging that the food is not really up to standard any more. Also lots of smoke from the pizza ovens! But the surroundings here are lovely. Improvement needed to restore it to how it once was.

I want to love Roskillys but it has the atmosphere of a place where the owners just don't care anymore.

Stopped in for coffee and ice cream, of which there were excellent choices. Purchased a number of local products (fudge, jam, biscuits) for friends up country from a wide range available.

Visited with friends and was looking forward to the usual friendly service and fab food. Very disappointed to be served expensive teacakes which on one side looked like they were wholemeal with very few sultanas/currants and cardboard flavour which was soon replaced with an overwhelming burnt taste. Turned over the teacakes and not only were they burnt they were charcoal black and unrecognisable! I can not think why anyone would think this was acceptable to serve to a customer? I was so very disappointed and as I hyped up a trip to Roskillys with visiting friends I felt too embarrassed to complain, hence the much deserved 2 star rating.

We stopped in here really quickly after a day out. Although we didn’t eat at the restaurant it looked nice and the pizzas coming out of the wood smoked ovens looked great. It’s goes without saying that we had an ice cream which was very tasty. As well as the restaurant there is the milking parlour where you can watch the cows being milked. There also an area with animals such as calf’s, pigs, ducks, geese and chickens which my 2 year old daughter enjoyed checking out. There is also a walk around ponds but unfortunately we didn’t get to go there as we were pushed for time.

A beautiful place just to wander round the meadows and grounds. Fabulous selection of ice creams to choose from and a seating area to relax and enjoy. I believe there were lunches etc on the menu too. A beautiful peaceful corner of the Lizard just a mile or two from Coverack.

The black currant cheesecake ice cream is delicious. Popped in for cake and a cuppa but so glad I chose the ice cream even though it was a cold windy day . Very generous size scoop too!

We stopped here near the end of our family holiday to Cornwall. We had be driving past the signs all week and decided to pop in and see what it was all about. We were certainly not disappointed. The atmosphere was wonderful, the staff very friendly and the ice cream was delicious. It was lovely sitting outside in the sun, eating our ice cream as loads of wild birds kept coming over to see if the could get any spoils. Very glad we stopped here and it was a nice relaxing treat after a hard days exploring.

Despite Roskilly's ice cream fame, worth a visit for a fantastic burger from the barbecue. Plenty of inside and outside seating. On the night we visited St Keverne Town Band were performing which made for an extra bonus. The pizzas from the wood fired oven looked equally good and the ice cream sundaes, which we returned to have the following day, are to die for!!

A fabulous cafe, we didn't have food but wished we did as the meals being brought out looked amazing. The ice cream is delicious and my son said it was the best ice cream in the world, especially because they also sell fudge sticks. The ice creams are really cheap too so it's great value. There are animals for the children to see and woodland walks. There is a small gift shop too. A great place to visit.

The ice cream is lovely, although you can get roskillys ice cream all around Cornwall! We were disappointed as we didn't see any cows being milked, it was just full of people eating (food looked nice) wouldn't make a mad rush to get here to be honest?!

Absolutely wonderful visit. The cream tea was the best I think I’ve ever had. Warm scones, huge pot of cream and delicious jam, must be homemade. The tea was piping hot and came with an additional tea bag should you like it strong.
