Lovely creamy ice cream. Big portions for the money as well, great selection of flavours. Staff helpful just watch out for the seagulls!!

Went to get an ice cream as we were by the sea,the mint chocolate chip ice cream was so tasty.What was a huge bonus was I was able to get an ice cream cone gluten free which was amazing,not many places do it and the last time I had a gluten free ice cream cone apart from at home was in 2021(circa).When I wanted to clarify that the mint chocolate chip flavour was gluten free our server went out of the way to check for us.There were so many interesting ice cream flavours.Would highly recommend this ice cream parlour!

Gorgeous vegan ice cream. And delicious gluten free ice cream cones . £7 or thereabouts for 2 ice creams. Very reasonable. We sat on a bench by the harbour and ate ours and gave some to our dog. Definitely recommend.

Very nice Ice-cream and lovely staff. Would recommend it, and treat yourself to a fudge stick...yum.

Always a treat, you can not visit Padstow without paying them a visit, the kids all have their favourites.

We were looking for a ice-cream place in Padstow on a sunny day. I found this was the best reviewed place and queued up. It is a very small store so only the family ordering can go in - facemask required. There was a good option of ice cream and also offered dairy free options, which was good. The selection of what was available changed as to what had been taken out the freezer / not yet run out. It was £6.50 for 2 ice-creams - 2 scoops in a cone and 2 scoops in a cup. It was quite pricy for what it was, although the ice cream was delicious.

Stopped off here with the family during a circular walk from Trevone. There was a queue but it was moving quite quickly. There were some dairy free flavours that some of us tried and the response I was given was that they were excellent. The dairy free flavours were kept separate from the dairy products. The staff member was very friendly despite the never ending queue outside.

Fabulous Ice Cream, friendly staff ! Our daughter is dairy free and so often misses out - but she had the vegan mint chocolate chip and said it was the best ever !!

Fantastic ice cream I had vanilla Cornish with clotted cream on top with a flake. Just make sure that the gulls don't steal it

A great location right by the harbour. Some lovely flavours, I really enjoyed the Gooseberry, really zingy. A wider choice would have been nice.

In Padstow for an afternoon and I just fancied an ice cream. Being gluten and dairy intolerant I usually have to resign myself to not having an ice cream. I was so excited to find Roskilly's offering gf and df ice cream and gf cones!!! There were four varieties of df ice cream - mint choc chip, mango, chocolate salted caramel and vanilla raspberry ripple. I chose vanilla raspberry ripple and it was lush! The raspberry part was like sorbet so the whole thing was like eating a raspberry "Mivvi" which I haven't been able to do since becoming gluten and dairy intolerant. The ice cream was kept in separate tubs in the freezer and the cones were kept separately in a closed tub and the lady who served us wore gloves and used clean serviettes to handle the cone. This is so easily done that other ice cream sellers have no excuse for not doing the same. Well done Roskilly's, if I lived near Padstow, I'd be having ice cream from Roskilly's ALL the time! I even took a photo of my ice cream to share with all my gf and df intolerant friends and I never normally photograph my food!!!!

After our fish and chips, some ice cream was in order. Although our daughters enjoyed the ice creams here, us "grown ups" didn't bother.Service was good, but we were left a bit underwhelmed by the range of flavours. Delicious though it was from the licks we had, I just wish they had been a bit more creative.

Tiny shop offering several flavours - some old school like the excellent rum and raisin which took me back over 40 years to childhood holidays spent on the Lizard and some more modern.

I was really exited to find this ice cream shop as I’m always on the look out for unusual flavours. Unfortunately this did not live up to my expectations.Orange & mascarpone ice cream was awful, there is no other way to say it. It was so granny and did not have a creamy texture one would expect in a mascarpone ice cream.The organic gooseberry sorbet was much better and did have a true sour gooseberry taste, but I did think it had a little too much sugar added.Cute cup design and extra points for using wooden spoons.

In a cute old building, great value, good service, cant fault it. I had fudge and gooseberry and it was delicous. My partner had chocolate and cookie dough which he enjoyed.

This is always a big highlight of our visits to Padstow. Best value - 3 scoops in a waffle cone, if you can!

What a gem to find somewhere that did ice-cream that was both gluten free and dairy free and had no nasties in it. We tried the chocolate flavour and vanilla raspberry flavour and both were yummy. No nasty plasticky taste. Wish I could get this ice-cream in the shops, it was lush!

I was so excited to walk past and see that this place sold proper dairy free ice cream! I had the chocolate salted caramel and the coconut flavours, delicious!!

I had the choc slated caramel and my partner had mint choc chip, both were vegan. They were bith great but the choc slated caramel was amazing and on a par with the vegan Haagen Daz in America, worth another trip to Padstow.

I’ve been on holiday in Cornwall for two weeks. Nowhere have I been able to get dairy free ice cream. Only sorbet. This place is amazing! There’s a decent choice of ice cream for all. If you’re after non dairy I can recommend the chocolate salted caramel and the mint choc! Thanks for making my day!!!!

i came all the way to padstow and was looking forward to one of the few places i can get a dairy free ice cream. you were shut at just gone half past 4 on a tuesday. what kind of retail business closes that early? it genuinely ruined my trip.

We had a Gooseberry Yogurt Sorbet and Salted Caramel - both excellent. If you're over 5 foot tall, mind your head as you go in!!

Visited Padstow during a recent stay in Cornwall, and were pleased to see that Roskilly's had a shop on the quay, although there was another ice cream vendor nearby. Unfortunately the portion of ice cream was very small, compared to other places selling the same ice cream in Cornwall at the same price, we felt very disgruntled and next time we visit we will go elsewhere.

We always have a local Ice Cream, Roskilly fits the Bill, nice creamy Ice Cream, seemed to last a while as we looked for a place to sit down.

Ice cream is very nice however it is quite pricey considering there was a ice cream van 50 yards down the street.

Fantastic ice cream, but the tiniest of scoop for £2.00. Didn't touch the sides of the tub.. Maybe this was just today, but I was left wanting more..the ice cream at Rick's deli is better

Roskilly's can be found by the harbour, had the gooseberry yoghurt ice cream, so tangy and full of flavour. Unusual to see gooseberry in an ice cream form.

We wanted to have an ice cream while in Cornwall so stopped off and eventually decided on a flavour. There were so many to choose from we went back the next day in order to try different flavours. The man behind the counter was lovely and helped us with our selections.

Only upset that no "Malty Mystery" available today! But the other choice was delicious - cant beat cornish vanilla!

Memories of going to the dairy with the children over 20 years ago and watching them milk the cows for this ice cream drew us to the little shop in Padstow. We had a variety of flavours as there were six of us and all of us were happy with our choice, I was disappointed that my favourite flavour from all those years ago wasn't available and thought they may have discontinued it, happily on a return trip (one wasn't enough) later in the week it was there. My personal favourite flavour is the Orange and Mascarpone (I don't think you get this flavour anywhere else) delicious.

Absolutely super ice cream. Had creme brûlée and could have eaten it every day ! The amount of flavours was staggering ! So much choice! Too much choice!

Roskilly ice cream is the best option of those by the Padstow harbour. Be careful of marauding birds looking to cool down.

they do a £1.80 kids ice-cream special with flake and sprinkles - much cheaper than the other shops and nice choice of flavours. lovely ice-cream try the Malteasers one - yum!

We usually opt for Kelly's ice cream, but I fancied a change. This was delicious! I particularly liked the white chocolate and raspberry ripple.

We dropped in on a visit to the quay, to sample some more of the Cornish ice cream experience. I think we all came away saying it was the best we've had.

I had hoped to have creme brûlée flavour but it wasn’t on the menu on the day we went. However the white chocolate and raspberry flavour was absolutely delicious so no complaints there.

Really good creamy Cornish ice cream. Lots of flavours available and seems to be the most competive on price on Padstow.

Enjoyed our ice creams. Quite pricey but to be expected for Padstow. Ice creams were pleasant without being exceptional. Strawberry was a bit synthetic in flavour and chocolate was ok but could have been more chocolatey.

This is a must do when in Padstow, regardless of the weather. We have been going to Rock for 20 years and we always have a day trip to Padstow for Riskilly's ice cream! The only challenge is deciding which flavour.

Decided to get my ice cream fix from Roskillys ice cream parlour on my recent visit to Padstow. Very quick service plenty of delicious flavours to chose from as well as a selection of cones! Really enjoyed my ice cream.

We had ice cream at their St Ives shop. I had not tried this ice cream before, but after reading all about the farm, I decided to try Roskilly’s ice cream. It was a good quality ice cream, which I would have again.

Was out with friends and we all decided it was a must to have proper Cornish ice cream. Lots of flavours on offer we all had a different flavour and no one was disappointed you can choose your cone which I thought was an added bonus. Would definately visit again.

This ice cream is wonderful. We had 2 scoops on the way home. It is locally made, which I strongly recommend. Personally, I think this is the best in Cornwall. Beware there may be a long queue.

Had the Jamaican rum and raisin ice cream which was the tastiest ice cream I tried during my holiday in Cornwall. Not the cheapest though - but that's Padstow for you!

The ice cream was good. But there are limited flavors and the woman serving made me feel as if my order was an imposition. She urged me to make a selection quickly, quickly! The attitude was not what I generally experienced in Padstow. There were other ice cream places with more flavors and better service.

Good range of flavours including yogurt varieties. My personal favourite is the gooseberry yoghurt as its sharp and not too creamy. raspberry yoghurt worth a try too. By contrast the lemon meringue is sweeter, creamy and you can definitely taste the lemon. Beats the others available for me and there is a lot of choice in Padstow

You cannot go to Padstow without visiting the ice cream parlour. Lots of flavours to choose from. If you want a special treat try an hedgehog, icecream of your choice and a scoop of clotted cream dipped in nuts. Friendly staff.

Declined a dessert at lunch so that we could have an ice cream. We all chose the salted caramel in a honeycombe cornet. Such a good choice - delicious !

What a treat to be able to find an ice-cream I could safely eat here yesterday! The allergen list for the ice-cream was on display and easy to follow and the ingredients list for each of the cones was also immediately available. They even have a separate scoop specifically to serve people with allergies - which ought to be standard practice but really isn't. It was great to be looked after and not made to feel as though I was inconveniencing anyone. Thank you

As always, delicious ice cream here with lots of choice. The only issue is the cramped premises with people queuing onto the street even on a fairly bracing February day. One fairly stressed lady on her own inside serving all the customers explains some of the comments about the dour service in some previous reviews. Time to get in more staff and perhaps find a bigger premises as customers will just get fed up with waiting in a longer queue in the summer.

Even on the dullest and quietest of days, the service was upbeat and cheerful. Then the ice cream. I would normally go for the chocolate but today I stepped out of my comfort zone and sampled the lemon meringue ice-cream. FANTASTIC! I will definitely be returning!

The clotted cream vanilla ice cream is possibly the best I have ever tasted! Good choice of flavours available. Highly recommended.

Excellent choice of ice creams with some interesting flavours. The malty surprise contains real maltesers - I hope I haven't spoilt the surprise! I chose toffee and hazelnut, by brother in law chose gooseberry yoghurt. Notoriously hard to please, he rhapsodised over the flavour. Generous scoops and keen prices. Says it all really

We have been to Padstow many times and always stop here for and Ice Cream. A variety of flavours for every taste. Always have a laugh with the friendly staff

We popped into Roskilly's for an ice cream. We sampled clotted cream vanilla and an orange and mascarpone. What can I say? It was about the best ice cream we've tasted and we've tasted many all over the world. It was outstanding. Silky, full of flavour, didn't taste synthetic and we were given generous proportions. The orange and mascarpone had bits of orange zest in it. Heaven.

Me and my husband come here every year and its always yummy! Sometimes theres a long queue but its well worth it, the icecream is gorgeous and the staff are friendly. Our favourite icecream is the orange mascapone, everytime yummy!

Good selection and good taste. In the busy hurley burley of Pads an ice cream after lunch is a must. Roskilly doesn't disappoint. Lovely.

Wonderfully tasty, just turn around and gawp over the harbour whilst you eat it. Try to get a seat but mind the dripping........

This great little icecream parlour has wonderful cornish icecream flavours but the service I have just witnessed in front of me and then the attendant continued to moan about the customers polite request continued to me and the other people in the very long queue would put me off returning again in the future and I would prefer to go where requests by the paying public were looked after (as the request was so easy to do) and there profits from tourists were invested in customer training rather than employ people without politeness, respect and customer satisfaction. Like I say the icecream was absolutely fantastic when we got it

Loads of flavours and make it your own with added extras. I recommend honeycomb and toffee flavours, the fudge stick is pricey but yummy, sauces to add and nuts, yummy yummy.

I never go anywhere else for my Padstow ice cream.A small establishment right next to the harbour has an extensive and varying list outside on the wall showing their daily flavours. We've never had a bad one and will be sure to continue to buy from there when we go back next year.

Fabulous pistachio and caramel double scoop. Shop is small and right on the corner and the assistant could be a bit more cheerful, but the ice cream is just fantastic.

We have been to this ice cream parlour for 5 days running , the ice cream is lovely and so tasty, my old gripe is , none off the staff smile or seem to give a damn , I understand it must get tedious day in day out tourists every where but if you don't like it , leave , I'm sure there is some one out there that would do your job and be a bit more enthusiastic,

Visited whilst on holiday with the children, we live in Italy so we are used to a certain quality of Ice cream, this is one of the better that we have tried in the UK, good range of flavours, prices seem to be amongst the average for the area, good service, only "downside" if there has to be one is the shop is actually a little small, gets very cramped inside with just three or four customers

Une douzaine de parfums de glaces et sorbets au choix, dont certains originaux (dont le sorbet au chocolat noir, pour les amateurs, ou la glace au bubble gum !)Le prix de base d'un cornet 1 boule est assez cher mais la quantité servie correspond à 2 boules d'une glace basique, donc rien à dire.Vous avez la possibilité de les déguster dans la grande cour pavée, attablé à une table de pique nique ombragée.La boutique propose un grand choix de confitures, chutneys, gâteaux..., tout est confectionné sur place.

We used to visit Cornwall every year when I was little and to go back to Roskilly's after about 8 years and still enjoy a cornish ice cream whilst looking at the boats was amazing.

Try the orange and mascarpone yummy. Always a queue here as people can't decide which flavour to have. The ginger is also good. Well to be honest they are all goof.

Was expecting beautiful ice cream, what a disappointment. Our daughter chose chocolate ice cream which I have to say was disgusting. The flavours that the rest of us had were just ok. Tried the ice cream sold up by Rick Steins which was far superior!

Not much to say really, huge portions of delicious cornish ice cream making it great value! We visit a number of times every year (I love Ice Cream) and having tried all the Ice Cream spots in Padstow over the last 30 odd years I can safely say you can't beat this little doorway!You might miss it if you don't know where it is and you're a bit glued to the beauty of Padstow. It's only very small and down a step off the quay. There's a sign outside and a wall board with the flavours on to make your choice before you go in.Always a friendly server who never skimps on the portions, you get a great serving for your money, something that can't be said of all the parlours in Padstow.Roskilly's Ice Cream is soooo creamy, no chunks of ice like you can find in some, just bags of cream and flavour, delicious! Until next year!
