Rosie & Tersea's Fish Bar in Mendip

Very expensive, cold and horrible, partly reheated, partly not heated properly in the first place, and the wrong items. It arrived nearly 90 mins after ordering, after having to chase them up - they clearly didn't give a toss that our expensive food had gone missing, and the delivery driver, who had taken over an hour to drive 2 miles, was offended when I remarked that the meal was now cold. Apparently everyone should really want tepid food that has kicked around in the back of a car for over an hour on a cold night. What came across was that they think it is our job to pay through the nose and pat the delivery driver on the head for ruining our meal, rather than it being their job to ensure that delicious, piping hot food is delivered quickly. A refund should be automatic in these circumstances, but I now have to earn the price of my expensive, awful meal, so won't have time for the endless petulant struggle with R and T which this will entail. Will NEVER EVER use again.

Avoid this place. Terrible service on delivery. Tried to avoid any responsibility for stone cold food eventhough I only live 3 minutes away. Really had to battle for a refund after the phone was put down on me. Driver went 6 miles away and they told me I didn't live where I do

Paid £13 for the smallest portion of “large” chips and a sausage When we asked if we could have some more chips the chap said “we’ll do better next time”

Ordered food via uber eats at 6pm, didn’t arrive until 8.15pm after I rang twice to chase it up, told the first time they would throw some extras in for the inconvenience and then the second time told the food was done but needed to wait for a driver and it would be another 20 minutes, by this point my son was tired and had gone to bed without having a proper meal which was just unacceptable. When the food did arrive there was food missing, it was cold as I’d expected, soggy, greasy, small portions and just no flavour to it at all. No extras as promised by the first phone call and in fact food missing instead! I appreciate businesses can be short staffed, busy etc but this was honestly terrible from start to finish. We rarely get a takeaway so when we do and this happens it’s disappointing. Hopefully a one off and nobody else has the experience we did.

The food was good, but we had to wait some time for it, and there was no carrier bag to carry the food home in.

I had fish cakes and they were lovely, so was the battered sausage. partner had fish and said the batter could be better. would order again

I was staying at a B&B in Glastonbury last weekend. I'd been told by several people how good the fish & chips were here. The staff were really friendly & let me eat in (as I was unsure if I could take food back to the B&B) The cod was perfect, amazing batter & the chips were equally tasty. Great portions, good value & amazing service! Highly recommend! Next time I'm in Glastonbury, I will be sure to visit!

Decent portions, good food but batter could have been a little more fluffier.

We found it to be poor quality and not alot of chips for a large portion the chips did not taste fresh we had to go back as they forgot the fish which he did not seem totally surprised by

AVOID!!!! I have never had worse fish and chips. Used to be a regular but I will never set foot in here again. The chips had been reheated and we're inedible and the sausage was not fully cooked, so the batter was uncooked inside. I would strongly recommend to anyone of thinking of getting fish and chips to go else where and get decent food rather than chucking your money in the bin.

Was rushed today so went to this fish and chip shop. Wish I had not I was there just after 5 when it opened. Ordered large chips which most were inedible, look like warmed up from lunchtime. The fish I could only taste the fat it was cooked in. Also ordered a chicken & mushroom pie which was soggy but tasted ok. If you want good fish and chips drive to Star Fish Bar in Street.

I haven't been here for a long time because I paid for large chips 2 different times and got a measly portion both times, I gave them another chance today I wish I hadn't bothered chips are chewy and horrible sausage in batter even worse, hurry up and sell.

Having visited Glastonbury for many years we have sadly missed this brilliant chip shop. So easy to order, great food, spotless premises delivery if needed. We will return.

Disappointed with the size of portion of a large chips. Made to wait nearly 20 mins and then a large portion was more like a regular. No small sausages either.

Just had the battered faggot, cod roe and chips. 1) Homemade faggot, absolutely awesome taste. 2) Cod roe, cooked to perfection. 3) Chips were bloody lovely. 4) Not to greasy. 5) Would most definitely come again. Young lass on the counter was very attentive, and served with a huge smile. Thanks guys.

Awful....greasy, think the fryers needed cleaning....everything was charred!! Not happy!!!!!!!!!

We really like the fish from here! Portions are huge and we can never finish the regular chips 😊 Fresh and tasty and a great dinner option when you suddenly realise the cupboard is bare!

Fantastic food and service. I live a fair way from the shop and my food arrived in 30 minutes, piping hot and tasty. Highly recommend.

Parking is tough and the staff are occasionally bit stressed but the food is great and hot so you can get your food home while it's still hot. Even to Wells! Can recommend the Broccoli and Cauli bake!

Food was ok, chips were very greasy, vastly overpriced, not helped by the menu which had most the prices stickered over. Worst part was the verbal abuse, the lovely young lady who served us, received from, I assume her employer, while we were waiting..if I had been her, I would have walked out! Def won't be going back

Giving even one star to write this review is too much. I complained last night because the fish I received tasted and smelt of ammonia, I spat what I could out and quickly removed the fish from my childrens plates, i was very sick following. The customer service I received is absolutely appalling. AVOID.

Absolutely fantastic! Such nice people after a 25 mile bike ride these were wonderful. So fresh and huge portions. Thoroughly recommend.

Stayed at millbatch farm and tucked into Rosie & Tersea's fish and chip and a pea fritter as a vegetarian option....delicious!

Excellent💫💫💫💫💫💫💫 The food is totally delicious. They do Wonder-Full specials like; Fish pie, Cauliflower and Broccoli cheese. They cater well for vegetarians. Best fish & chip shop in Glastonbury in my opinion. The staff are All Ways, happy, smiling, friendly & Help-full. Highly recommended.

I don't eat so much fish and chips these days but when I do I always head to these guys, my personal favourite is the home made fish cakes. They are in my opinion the best about. And the chops are really tasty.

When staying in Glastonbury ( which we have done for many years), we very often gets fish, chips etc from here. Food is always freshly cooked! One can also place & order to have ready for collection. Friendly helpful service. Thoroughly recommend

The best chippie in Glastonbury. Chips are amazing, fish is light, tasty and not too greasy and the fishcakes are perfect. Good value, too (parking is a bit of a pain, though).
