Nestled on the edge of a picturesque airfield, this cafe offers a truly unique dining experience. The setting is nothing short of spectacular, with large windows and outdoor seating providing panoramic views of the airfield. Watching small planes take off and land as you sip your coffee adds an exciting yet tranquil ambiance to your meal. The breakfast itself was outstanding. Every dish showcased top-class ingredients, prepared with care and precision. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the bacon crisp and flavorful, and the granary toast had just the right crunch. A standout was the locally sourced sausages, bursting with flavor and clearly made with premium ingredients. Whether you’re an aviation enthusiast or simply looking for a memorable breakfast spot, this cafe delivers on all fronts. Great food, stunning views, and a one-of-a-kind location make it a must-visit destination. Highly recommended!

I don’t like leaving negative reviews anywhere - we have family in hospitality - so know it’s tough. Really tough. But we hadn’t been out together for a while (have stopped here for coffee during dinner, flying days are a treat), so thought a sandwich and coffee would be great. And Rosey Lea at North Weald is close though still a destination drive. You don’t pass it as it’s on the infield of an active airdrome. The cafe was almost empty so we’re directed to choose a table. The waiting staff must so have had bad days because the service - aside from a young team member - was awful. It was like they were doing us a favour. This is not a truck stop café - this is supposed to be a step up. But for the four of us, it was about being together for a catch up. The toasted baguettes were described as more than a meal - they weren’t. Chicken, Bacon and Maple Syrup in a mini baguette for £12 at a café is taking the mick. A bagel for £13! Call me old fashioned, but coffee and hot chocolate for marginally less than £4 is expensive. I accept that may be the going rate but as stated, this is not a gastro pub or a fine dining restaurant. It’s a pleasant café. Not terribly special. A mini basket of fries for £6.75? Come on guys - this is taking advantage of customers. 4 sandwiches… sandwiches… 2 sides and 4 hot drinks for £71 is unreasonable. We love to support local cafés, pubs and restaurants when we can - it’s tough financially for us all - but sorry guys, we won’t be back. The signed paintings of WW2 aircraft on the walls are fabulous. The senior waitress may have had a bad day - but being blunt and rude is not reasonable when we were just customers - not rude or abrupt, not insulting or whinging. Just customers. Looking to enjoy a nice sandwich and good cup of coffee. As tough as it is in hospitality, we know you have to work a little harder because losing a customer is a bitter pill to swallow.

Terrific little bistro in a converted quonset hut at an historic airfield. Great food, lovely service, and the space is open and light with a collection of WWII-aviation-focused artwork adjacent.

Hubby had a flight experience booked at the air field so we went to cafe to watch him. I had a tea and toast and water after a very long wait. to served. Got home to a message to say we hadnt paid our bill. Now they had no idea who we were as no names were given so we were just customers, the place was packed so not sure how we got accused. I rang and said I had proof of payment and the reply was just literally oh ok.... no apology nothing, you dont accuse people of theft then brush it under the carpet. The only reason you got our phone number was because Aero Legends had it. Disgusting.

Very busy even on a Monday, but the waiting staff appear not to concentrate. I had a huge fruit scone but was only offered one pre wrapped piece of butter. Tea comes with a strainer, so I asked for the normally delivered dish to put the strainer in to avoid messing up the table. In the end, I had to go to ask again as the waitress had forgotten. These small niggly things are a shame as the venue could be so much better. Although I didn’t have cooked today, I noticed that if you want brown sauce with your meal, they charge 65p extra… yes, just for brown sauce. That to me is a rip off!

Location still great but front of house staff were under considerable pressure. First told 10-15 mins wait for table. Then, after 20 mins told it would 40 mins before an order could be taken! If there are staff shortages be up front about but to be kept waiting with little interaction is not the best way to treat clients. On that basis did not get any snacks & went elsewhere & spent money

Flew in a private aircraft to the airfield & very pleasantly surprised by the new bistro in the iconic Squadron building. Yes it was busy so had a short wait but service friendly & efficient. Brunch breakfast was very tasty and one of our group very impressed at having his tea in a china teapot & cup & saucer! Decent value too. Well done.

We were actually staying at the hotel across the road from the Redesdale Arms but decided to go there for a meal, so glad we did as it was delicious, well presented and served by friendly staff. We’re returning to the Cotswolds in the summer and having loved the food at the Redesdale we’ve decided to book one of their rooms for the stay.

Had a fantastic Sunday lunch here, there were 6 of and we all had the beef which was beautifully cooked and the gravy is the best we've ever had, the veg was also outstanding with a special mention to the cauliflower cheese which was also the best we've ever had. I had the bread and butter pudding for dessert and once again was the best I've ever had... don't tell my mother 🤫 So to summerise it's a lovely pub with brilliant food and fantastic staff. You need to come here you won't be disappointed.

We loved Swan Inn! My friend and I visited this amazing hotel in February. We didn't know what to expect but we were welcomed as part of a family. The new owner Simon and his team are wonderful and easygoing hosts. The location is a perfect base for exploring Cotswold countryside. Since updates to kitchen are being made, we had breakfast in a coffee shop across the street, which was very nice. Rooms are clean and cosy. Long story short, we highly recommend this place!
