The best eggs benny/florentine ever! Plus the cocktails! Fabulous staff and dog friendly! Booking is a must. Have tried and failed to get in otherwise! My new favourite place.

Whilst on holiday last week, and after a long day at the zoo, we were searching for a place close to our flat to have evening dinner. This pub had been recommended to us and we decided to try it. This was the evening of 30th October. What a lovely warm welcome we received from our host Ali. Ali was extremely helpful with the menu as one of us needed a meal which was gluten, dairy and egg free. No problem at all here! The food we received was delicious and the place was so lovely and cozy. We were even able to have a great dessert after our meal and the coffees were lovely too. Thank you to Ali for that great evening. We enjoyed it so much that we returned on 2 Nov for another great meal. Our host was Hannah and we really appreciated her great service too. Sad this pub is not nearer to where we live! Would definitely come back and recommend to others. Thank you!

Absolutely amazing spot for brunch and drinks! Possibly the best eggs benedict I ever had (had mine with haggis - delish!) Decor is fantastic, lovely exhibition by Ryo Tamura, Edinburgh local illustrator. Great place to come for after work pint of tennents too!

This is a lovely friendly bar with great hearty food, we really enjoyed our visit a will be back again. This was a family visit with four of us made very welcome and we all thoroughly enjoyed our food.

C’est délicieux, c’est accueillant, c’est surprenant, une ambiance très scottish, très local, comme on en rêve. On nous avait dit : « vous ne mangerez pas bien à Edinburgh ». Ils ont tout faux sur toute la ligne en venant ici. Tout local, de la maison, avec soin, revenons y.

This is a wonderful place to sit in. The staff are a delight and they served the best Cullen Skink I have ever tasted. Excellent choice of drinks too. All done with cheerful good humour.

This place never fails - always reliable for good food, good service and good beer. Great selection of beers and knowledgeable staff who’re happy to make recommendations. As a veggie the fact they have a full vegan menu is a joy! On last night’s visit I had the cauliflower wings which are easily the best I’ve tasted and falafel burger which I’d highly recommend. Cannae go wrong here!

Great cafe bar on the Leith Shore, service delicious food, good beer, and interesting cocktails! The staff are fantastic and the ambience is wonderful, and they have a dedicated vegan menu, so what's not to love?!

Roseleaf was recommended for cullen skink-- a creamy, chowder-like stew using smoked fish. It was absolutely amazing. We had to wait over an hour for a table because they were so busy, but it was well worth it. My friend proclaimed her eggs Benedict "the best I've ever had." I couldn't even get her to give me some. The staff was very friendly and we were served right away. I love this little place in the Leath area and would make it a "must go" stop if I return to Edinburgh.

Lovely the cocktails (pot-tails) served in a china tea pot. This was a family meal and all 8 of us had a good time. Good food and great staff.

The food was great, both the hamburgers and the Mac and cheese were great for a pub lunch. They also had some nice beers and a cider that I’d never tried before. The waiter who served us was very friendly and had a great sense of humour; I’d love to re-visit with a group of friends or when I travel to Edinburgh again. Even the toilets were clean and had more character than half the pubs I’ve been in!
