Good choice of beers and friendly staff 👍

It's always a great atmosphere in this tradition boozer.

A great pub. I dropped in recently when a relative was in City Hospital. I have to say it is a great place just to sit and chill. The staff are brilliant. And when I'm next in Notts I will definitely visit again. And a lovely building. Keep up the good work. Top marks. A proper pub.

There’s a large sign outside the pub that says cask ale. I entered looking forward to sampling many of their delights. Sadly they only had one cast ale on ‘Gem’ and it had gone off. It tasted like vinegar. I complained to the bar staff and of course I was wrong. She offered a replacement so I had to have Neck Oil from the keg. I didn’t see her turn the sign around on the pump so I think they’ll try to sell on. Very disappointing.

The last place I went to on my visit to Nottingham and I must say it was also the most friendly , Ale was good Staff was good and the atmosphere was good , 100% deserves another visit next time I'm here

Nice welcome and a great selection of drinks... Certainly worth a visit if you are early for your bus.

Awful. Does not live up to its name. Was made to feel like an outsider had one drink and left swiftly. Didn't have the drink I wanted opted for an alternative and no option of spirits just got what I was given. Needs a good face-lift could be a really lovely pub.

A standard stop after the bus journey to Nottingham. Always friendly, great range of drinks. Check it out!

My partner and I come in here a lot! We absolutely love this place! One of our favourite spots. Friendly atmosphere, wonderful staff and fantastic music and drink selections! Its conveniently right next to the bus station too!

This is a place you can bring you friends and you are fully accepted! You feel happy, welcomed by Georgia and her team...so close to the city centre you are in the thick of it! A must if you don't need the city lights but love a chill out!

In Nov 2022, I walked in here after my boyfriend who was extremely intoxicated and a member of staff served him although I pleaded with them not too serve him. As a result, I have not attended since and do not yet feel ready too. However, I should not look down on the pub as a whole after one bad experience with one staff member. Therefore I would like to apologize to the pub! I have been in this pub before and can say that it has good music and a good atmosphere. Additionally, although I have not been in here since November, I walk past here every day and I can still sense the same atmosphere from the outside.

My partner was having a very hard day and using alcohol to cope with it. It was so bad that he had begun physical harming himself. He walked into this pub and I pleaded with the staff not to serve him alcohol on this occasion. The bar tender smiled (I assumed because he had seen us in there before) although I said I was being serious and still served him alcohol. I walked out. I do not plan on going back into this pub ever again. They do not care about the safety of their customers.

Used to be a good place to have Sunday dinner, but now have stopped serving food,bad move , it was always busy on a Sunday but only 3 people in when I walked in at 1.00pm.

wonderful little real pub, friendly staff, great landlady and the Sunday Roast whether Beef or Chicken is the best I've eaten in may years. The meat is cooked to perfection, fresh veg, home made Yorkshire puds, generous portions too! Good beer selection and super clean.

Very much a locals, local. Everyone was friendly but maybe not to my personal tastes. Selection of lagers, ales and ciders was decent... Though not all were chilled. If you live near by this could make a good regular.

The Rose Of England Pub is a pub I always look forward to visiting on any trip to Nottingham I take, haven't been to Nottingham since the pandemic descended so it was reassuring to see this pub is still as good as ever. Love the look of this pub, a solid wood serving bar dominates the main room, tv's to enjoy the sport, pubby decor and furnishings including plenty of seating and seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling Mansfield Road. We were here on a Thursday afternoon, we ordered a beer each at the bar ,we took our beers outside as it was a roasting hot afternoon, we just kicked back and planned out the day ahead while sipping our beers. My beer was really good, a light, hoppy and unpretentious lager style beer bursting with taste, on a hot afternoon a totally refreshing brew, it was just so good being sat outside a lovely pub watching the world rush by while enjoying an iced cold beer each. We really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on,enjoyed the vibe so much in this pub that we ended up staying for another beer each and as on previous visits to The Rose Of England Pub we had a great beer experience. The Rose Of England Pub is easy to locate along Mansfield Road. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, Open from Midday. A wonderful pub,most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Ive been to this pub a couple of times in the past and the food was excellent but i've been there in the last two weeks and the food wasn't up to scratch Last week I went to the Rose and me and My friend ordered Hunter's chicken. the chicken was really tough to cut felt like you needed a chainsaw to cut it and it was too dry overcooked and yesterday we when there again and we had a steak and ale which was really nice but the chip i can clearly tell they were McCain's and they were undercooked my advice to the chef is don't over cook the chicken and instead of using McCain's chips and under cooking them make your own

Nothing special. A place your dad will love, which he does and will not have a bad word said about it. Stunning external architecture, however pretty grim on the inside. A revamp and a lick of paint would do this place the world of good. Fantastic location, just up from Victoria Centre and well priced beers. A pub with lots of potential but on current form, only good for one or two swift ones before moving on. My dad hates me now.

Visited today for Sunday lunch. This is advertised as available until 5pm. Arrived there at 3pm to be told there were no meals left, although the person next to us ordered 3 meals? Is this because you should book? If this is so wouldnt it be prudent to put 'booking advisable'.

Old world sports bar with a nice atmosphere

Bit of Nottingham's history. Distinctive building on a corner location next to the main shopping centre. Old fashioned values, friendly service and good value tasty home cooked food.

Iam not a frequent visitor but the staff are always friendly, there is always sport on the tv screens which is a good catch up plus they do entertainment i.e. quizzes and sticky thirteen etc overall an enjoyable visit.

Always come here when visiting Nottingham, pleasant place to drink 🍻

You won't find many young people there but it's alright after a few drinks
