First time visit.lovely food, lovely staff, we will be back

Came down to try it after my friend had recommended this cafe and it did not disappoint! I ordered the breakfast two and cappuccino for myself and it was so good! The food was freshly and the staff there were very friendly as well.The restaurant itself has plenty of seatings!So it’s highly recommended:)

Lovely food and great chef with his minions working hard to make sure we get what we ask... only problem I see is the chairs need replacing or upholstered as its look is bringing the buisness down.

Had a really good breakfast today and really good value. the coffee was lovely too. I thought it was excellent value for money too. I was very hungry and hungover this morning so started eating it before I took the photo.

Lovely big breakfast and very reasonable

We waited for 20 minutes just to place our order and the another 30 minutes for the food to come, only to be served cardboard like pancakes tough bacon and a not very tasty sausage. On the plus note the capuchinos I had where really good and so was the egg. Not a good experience unfortunately.

Normally just pop in for a sandwich in the week. Just had a roast on a sunday, very good food. Also roast and a pud for 7.95 can't be bad

The atmosphere is amazing, you walk in and find a seat, then they come over to take your order (or you can go up if you are feeling impatient) The atmosphere and service is brilliant, family friendly and also nice if you are nipping out for a work lunch- The food is just what you would expect from a greasy spoon, good value considering food prices and hits the spot!

Excellent roast on a sunday (normal menu also available). Staff are always very helpful and friendly

Reasonable prices, ordinary food. Just one waiter's question surprised me. She asked me: would you like omelette with salad or without? Though menu says that all omelettes served with chips or salad.

Had a delicious English Breakfast with coffee for considerably less than a tenner. Tasty food served by a friendly waitress.

Have been a regular eater here but has gone down hill fast since take over. Just waited 50 minutes for a breakfast only to be told they hadnt even started to cook it. No apology or nothing.. Its a shame but will be going elsewhere from now on. Bad show..

What a great food and a service. We loved it.

Warm and friendly welcome. Our only complaint is the fried bacon was crispy, we like it lightly cooked. Otherwise, absolutely wonderful.

Used to be really good but know it's basically £10 for a small breakfast and it's not even good quality food the prices have gone through the roof won't be going again

Brilliant service so helpful &great food and drink

A last minute change of venue and I'm so glad we did! The staff couldn't have been more helpful, pushing tables together to accommodate seven adults and a toddler and understanding our Scottish Accents. The food was delicious and our plates were full to overflowing! Would definitely visit again. 😄👍❤

Pleasant dining experience on a very quiet Friday lunchtime, polite and courteous staff and food was served promptly and was tasty!

Went in for breakfast ordered had to wait over half an hour and when food turned up it wasn't what we ordered didn't complain as didn't want to wait another half an hour whilst they corrected their mistake. Coffee was nice but like warm

The cafe has a new menu it is good had the builders breakfast, it was fantastic and it came with toast and a drink not a bad price. The place was clean with good service

Popped in for lunch, had the Spanish omelette with salid and a coffee, really nice food, nice staff really quick and nice.

Went here for my husbands birthday brunch, very good value for money, we had a full English and it was massive there was so much on the plate we couldn't eat it all, the chocolate milk shake was amazing I almost ordered another one to go The younger woman that served us was very polite and lovely We will be returning

Went here on Sunday 21st November with Friends for Lunch. We All had a Roast with a selection of Meats to choose from. The Food was Delicious & a really decent size portion. Tables & Chairs all nice & clean, the Staff are very Obliging & Friendly. Will definitely visit again. 👍

Whilst it has a very varied menu, it appears to be processed or packaged. The food was quite greasy, the portion sizes weren't generous and not particularly flavoursome. Reduce the menu, improve the quality and it could be a nice little cafe for breakfast or lunch.

You know what to expect. I have loved Poppins for many many years but different locations. It is a place where the furniture has always been comfortable and clean. The service is spot on. The menu is basic but food is very tasty and plentiful and the choice is wide. I don't like the orange juice they serve, it tastes fermented, but there is a wide choice of beverages.

Good menu choice unless you have allergies or intolerances. I'm gluten and dairy free and the only choice I had was ham salad with out coleslaw. Would not visit again for the lack of special dietary restrictions.

Very well cooked Sunday Lunch and pudding. A bargain. But that was last year, went in this Sunday and after 15 minutes asked a waitresses to take our order. 2 seconds she said, 5 minutes later we left and went to The Grillhouse, excellent carvery there and very attentive staff. Poppins has lost our custom.

Great family friendly café, which served good food, excellent customer service, and I would highly recommend this café to anyone, I shall definitely stop it there, next time I'm passing through !

Only 3 star because the extra black pudding was wasnt cooked properly other then that it was good.

Slow service and food a little over cooked

I like this place! It doesn't pretend to be anything it isn't. Chips + sausages + lasagne, you know what I mean! There is a vegetarian all day breakfast! They even have a Sunday Roast. The roast is basic bit for £7.95 a roast + a pudding (apple pie with custard...type of thing) No booking required, stroll in....eat...stroll home (or why not walk the 2 minutes to Costa and have a coffee apres eating?) Staff friendly. Clean enough. If you are lucky you will find some parking outside. If not park at Lidl. 3 minutes walk and 1.5 hours free parking (careful - you do get a £40 fine you if you are there for 91 minutes!)

Waited 30 minutes for breakfast despite there only being 4 other people in there which arrived overcooked and cold. The beans tasted funny and the food in general was tastless. Wouldn't use again

Awful sausages 90% lard desert served before main! never again

Staff were friendly and the place was clean, but despite not many customers to serve, we waited over 20 minutes for just a coffee (which lacked flavour) and a tea!

Really enjoyed my meal staff very friendly

Very clean and tidy. Staff need to get organised a little better. Other than that every thing was very good.
