We booked the Rose & Crown for our daughter’s first birthday party for a small gathering with family. We used the back room which was an ideal space. The landlord was really welcoming and accommodating. They put on a lovely buffet for us and were really attentive throughout the afternoon. Can’t recommend it enough for functions. Thanks again for a lovely day.

Called into this pub in our way back from Heathrow on holiday. It was a little difficult to find but we are glad we did. We were cold and hungry but were given a warm welcome by the lady serving. In facet she was serving everyone, managing the bar, taking orders, setting tables and bringing out the food. One minor thing was it was cold in the pub so had to send Hubbie back to the car for my coat. A slight delay in food coming out as it was fairly busy when we arrived but when it did come it was piping hot. We chose a chilli and days and mash off the daily set menu that was really good value. The food was tasty and we enjoyed it very much and were impressed by the way the one start member managed everyone and made sure we didn’t need anything. Lovely lunch we would highly recommend

Came to the pub as a prebooked family party of ten. The Rose and crown was absolutely jam-packed. Ordered food from off the pubs menu, which was all served promptly, as there were some children in our party who were hungary!!! Menu is good honest well cooked pub food at a reasonable price. Served by the friendly landlord,partner and staff who worked so hard ( and work hard) to make this pub what it is! Also they have guest food trucks in the carpark, which you can order from and consume in the pub. Last night a Turkish food van was resident. Other food trucks include a burger van and a Gurka (Nepalese) food truck. Various other events are reguarly organised including a very entertaining monthly charity quiz. Also rumoured is an upcoming cheese and wine night Thank-you Rose and Crown!!! Ps Robin liked the Christmas jumper!

Came here on the request, of my partners five year old grandson for his birthday. Words cannot really express the welcome from the landlord (and Partner!!) and loyal staff, who catered admirably for five hungry adults and children. Excellent pizzas, chicken curries and burgers. All well cooked and served promptly by friendly staff (Maddy and Kelly) One young five Yr old can say he had a good birthday meal, courtesy of the Roseand Crown. BIg hugs to Robin and staff. Great, well priced food. Worth going for the pies or the burgers. Very accommodating staff that make you feel very welcome.

Came here on the spur of the moment , with my parents. Excellently cooked God pub grub and value as well. Good choice of ales including London Pride,Doombar,Timothy Taylors and various Charles Wells beers. Wine list also represents excellent value for money. Chatty landlord and staff, make going to this establishment ,which is spotlessly clean, a real joy.

Wonderful buffet at the Rose and Crown on the 07/01/23. Very friendly comfortable pub. Very friendly owners and staff. I would highly recommend this pub to my friends. Thanks again for making our family and friends have a very special day, Jacky Smart

We met up with our family here yesterday as we were doing a halfway handover of our grandchildren back to their parents and this pub was halfway and just off the motorway. We were made very welcome and ordered food which was lovely. The staff were very friendly. We will definitely be using this as our halfway meet up in the future.

Booked 3 tables of six, made to feel immediately unwelcome. They made a big deal about how there was little service for a large amount of customers when there was few other punters other than us. Waited for an hour for one of the tables to get service and frequently heard them complaining about us when we walked past the bar. Wouldn't come back here if you made me.

Lovely pub. Great atmosphere. Good food. Clean throughout. Professionally run. I love coming here and they accept dogs too which is great. Pls do some more specials on ur menu. Need an excuse to visit more often :)

Great little find. This bar is ultra clean and following the latest guidelines, it’s a nice venue to meet with friends and has a lovely outdoor covered seating area at the back. Good choice of of snack type food on the menu which is nicely presented. Very dog friendly and welcoming with great decor, lovely couple Robin and Lyn and team and not forgetting Syd the cockerpoo. Will definitely be visiting again very soon

We viewed a house on this street and were so hot we passed here and went for a cold drink. The two owners were so friendly to us and our puppy (got him fresh cold water) that we decided to have a bite to eat. My bacon & brie panini was the nicest one I’ve ever had and my husband really enjoyed his fish& chips. We couldn’t believe the prices- sandwich & chips did under £4! The lovely waitress bought me tap water with fruit in- little touches made this a great find. Thank you: we will be back.

I visited The Rose And Crown again recently. The new hosts Robin and Lynn were most welcoming and professional. I had a perfectly poured pint of Guinness followed quickly by another. Just as perfect as the first. After glancing at the menu I decided to eat. Again I was not disappointed. Perfectly prepared and professionally presented. Top marks all round. Thanks so much.

A charming, little pub with a very warm welcome. Recently renovated, looks great. Lovely food and attentive service. Suitable for families too, they were very welcoming of our 18 month old. Would highly recommend

Amazing little local Pub, been refurbished well and to a high standard. very friendly staff, decent beers on tap and a respectable menu. Food options are limited, but done well - more a snack menu, but its a good one.

A group of 8 men called in on a Friday evening the service was polite courteous and exceptionally quick and we all commented how good the quality of beer was and not at all expensive all round a great experience
