Friendly team, efficient service with good pub food. Even though the pub was busy, the service could not be faulted. And it is dog friendly.

Started off fine with friendly greeting and attentive staff. Minestrone was very good. Then a long, long, long wait for the main course. 3 different courses, all of which were OK. But OK doe not cut the mustard. Didn't bother with a dessert. Rather disappointed. We were sounding the place out for a special meal with friends, but we'll go elsewhere.

Absolutely excellent Christmas Lunch and Birthday Celebration with my family. Nicky and her staff could not have been more helpful in connection with the booking procedure. On the day everyone was friendly and efficient, dealt smoothly with food allergies and provided good service throughout. The meal was delicious, the atmosphere warm and welcoming and the whole occasion was a huge success. Thank you so much everyone and Happy New Year to all at the Rose and Crown. Lindy E

Great little hotel in wonderful Wimbledon Village. I have stayed there before, always happy with the room and service. But, if anything, they seem to get even better with the food quality. I had great dinner and an excellent full fried breakfast. I would recommend this friendly little gem to anyone.

After a long dog walk on Wimbledon Commons we were met with a delightful young lady named Tatum whose service was beyond compare.

Wonderful English pub atmosphere & first rate service at this great establishment. The food was good too with solid menu choices & lighter options. Highly recommend!

Everyone in our group of 6 friends enjoyed the food we ordered. However, despite the fact we were given a 2.5 hour slot, and there appeared to be plenty of staff, we had to wait a long time and found the service lacking.

We loved it! We were a large group the morning after a family wedding. Everything was just lovely to round off our weekend - the food was delicious and the service attentive and friendly. We couldn't have asked for more - thank you all.

Fantastic food & ambience. Drink choices good too. A first rate pub lunch experience, thank you! The courses were well thought out and we weren't rushed making for a relaxing and fun day.

Myself and my partner visited the Rose & Crown last Saturday. Our experience was fantastic. Great parking and a friendly check in experience. We had a light lunch from the menu which was varied and the food was great. We found the room spacious, clean and extremely comfortable. Breakfast in the morning really hit the spot. We stayed at the Rose & Crown on Saturday 19th October 2024 and we couldn't recommend it more highly. We were able to park our car in their car park which was a huge bonus as we had driven up from Wiltshire. Great atmosphere, very comfortable bedroom, very friendly staff who organised a taxi for us, delicious breakfast with the lovely company of Fred! Would definitely book in again. Fi Carpenter

Firstly, this is a really lovely, characterful gastro-pub with both a well-furnished restaurant behind the well-planned bar and a large (especially for Wimbledon) outside drink/dining area beyond the interior dining room. Upon arrival I tried to find someone for the car-park barrier code (it's for Hotel Guests but, as a blue badge holder, I wanted to park just outside as I was in pain, but nobody knew A) if disabled blue badge holders could use the car park nor B) the code to raise the barrier so that we could at least put the car in a bay temporarily while they found out - it took a full 10 minutes of asking all the staff at the bar, the dining room and at the hotel reception desk before the restaurant manager finally ended a long (ten-minute) conversation with a table of 6-diners to greet me and, even then, refused to give the waiter I was with, nor me with my blue badge in one hand, the actual barrier-code as they followed me back to the car park, tapped in the code and showed us to the only parking space we were allowed to use; it was an unpainted bay as "only hotel guests can use the formal bays" which is fair enough but the two empty formally-painted bays were still empty when we left. Hey-ho, car was parked and we went inside. Once inside, we were given a very nice table for 4 even though we only made a reservation for 2 as I have a walking stick and assistance dog plus was clearly in pain so the extra space was welcomed since the tables are all positioned closely together. There were two menus given to us, a smaller A5 piece of paper with a sandwich menu (Bavette Steak baguette is £12.50 or, with chips is £15 ). The larger A4 paper menu had the usual array of pub-grub choices such as burgers, sausage & mash, fish & chips and beef & marrow pie & mash. My partner ordered the fish and chips since, even though it was £19, it stated that the fish was Haddock rather than the more widely used Hake or Pollock and I ordered the £22.50 steak pie and swapped the mash for thick-cut chips. We each ordered a pint of 0.0% Guinness each and happily got the 568ml pint-of-draught-cans with two empty Guinness pint glasses; I love the ritual of opening the cans and quickly turning them upside-down into the empty point glasses and lifting out level with the rising line of Guinness until you get a PERFECT pint of draught Guinness 0.0% in the correct glass! However, after that, we just waited.... we got a carafe of London-tap water and waited... after at least 30 minutes more of waiting, the two plates of food FINALLY arrived! Presentationally, they both looked admirable, the Haddock looked huge and the pie had a delicious shortcrust pastry and both had a decent amount of chips plus tenderstem broccoli & gravy with the pie and mushy peas & curry sauce with the Haddock. However, when my partner cut into the Haddock it had a double-dipped layer of batter inside which was a slim piece of fish indiscernible from Haddock, Hake or Pollock. At £19.50 we thought it was a bit pricey but my partner didn't dislike it but recalled other places with better fish at better prices. I was initially very happy but, when I cut the pie in half, it was literally full of square lumps of carrot and gravy - there were two small bits of beef but certainly not enough 'steak', no marrow and nothing on the menu that said the primary ingredient of it would be carrots. I called our waitress over and showed her my plate of carrot-pie and she disappeared whereupon, a couple of minutes later, the same manager arrived to ask me what was wrong with the pie... I simply pointed to it with my fork and said I hadn't ordered a carrot pie. They replied that the pie was made in a factory and not all pies would get the same amount of beef - at £22.50 I hadn't expected carrot pie but, even less, hadn't expected a factory pie! The 'manager-of-everything' then said it would take 30 minutes to re-heat another factory pie (30-minutes also suggests they're cooked from frozen) so I accepted her follow-up offer of a refund. My partner had finished so we asked for the bill and, sure enough, the £22.50 pie was removed but the bill was still over £36 (accounting for the 0.0% Guinness!) and we added £4 service to round it up to £40 as we HAD been provided with service so didn't feel it fair to deduct their tip. The manager gave my partner the key code for the car park barrier to exit and we left but, two recommendations for the general manager, they really need to learn the art of delegation and, since they clearly have oversight of everything, if they want to get repeat customers, they either need to reduce prices of EVERYTHING or invest in higher-quality produce since the food we were given was akin to basic supermarket frozen battered fish and basic supermarket frozen pies (and basic frozen chips!).

Was so looking forward to going as we had heard good things. Booked for my wife’s birthday for Sunday Roast. Unfortunately the potatoes were not as expected, they had been cooked long before and reheated, they were terrible. The beef was so tough one could hardly cut it, chewing it was an event on its own. The plates were served with gravy already poured all over the food. My Daughter doesn’t like gravy. Why is gravy not served in a gravy boat so as to allow people to decide for themselves whether or not they want it? And the amount they would prefer. We will unfortunately not be returning as our first experience was a little disappointing.

Wonderful evening with family. Food was lovely, staff were excellent and we had a great time taking part in the quiz. Atmosphere was friendly and fun. Will definitely be back.

Very disappointed with the food . In my opinion the chicken burger was burnt round the edges and very bland. Soggy lettuce. Steak over cooked and tough . Had to ask for the bread and olives to be served . Lots of little flies around us too . I’m not an expert but looked like fruit flies . So we moved tables but it didn’t help. Main courses removed from the bill .

Last minute decision for an outdoor dinner on wonderfully hot day. Inevitably, the rest of the world had the same idea. In spite of that we managed to get a table reservation booking online, albeit a little later than ideal (it was very last minute). We pitched up early planning to have a drink at the bar while we waited. Luck was on our side and our table was free. In spite of being very busy, the service throughout was efficient, friendly and attentive.

I booked a table on a Wednesday for lunch, but was not expecting it to be busy. The pub was fairly quiet, but the outdoor seating was busy with made for a very nice atmosphere, although with a couple of tables free. We were served by Phoebe who was charming and absolutely delightful, as she was happy, smiling and very attentive. Despite the hot day, I ordered the fish and chips, as it is something that I can never be bothered to cook at home, while my wife and daughter had the chicken burgers. My fish was very good, the batter was excellent and perfectly crisp, while inside the haddock was cooked to perfection. It’s easy to overcook fish, but this was cooked with a keen eye and couldn’t have been better. My wife and daughter said the burgers were very nice and very filling.

Have been to the R&C many times over the years for drinks & lunch while staying with family for Wimbledon. This year we booked to stay for 4nights, had breakfast 3 days & dinner one evening. Room was big, airy, spacious, BIG bed, & great spacious bathroom with fabulous shower. Loved that we were left treats in our room, every day ( 4 shortbreads, 2 apples, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, fresh milk ) - just a lovely & very welcomes touch. One evening we were left a Sipsmith Gift Box - wee chunky miniature & stirrer - we were delighted. Food at Breakfast & Dinner excellent, nothing too much trouble for the staff. We had drinks in the bar most evenings. The bar is a bustling busy hive of activity,creating a really good atmosphere & when we went yo bed, we could not hear any noise if we closed our window. Looks like a traditional English Pub but feels really buzzy & trendy inside with people of all ages out enjoying themselves - good chat & great banter. We will definitely be back next year for Wimbledon & to see Fred the friendly black lab. HUGE mention to all the staff - there are many of them & keeping tabs on the rota must be a full time job in itself - lovely people who work very hard & remain polite & upbeat every day. THANK YOU

Was a bit disappointed tbh. Nice setting and great table. Staff attentive.. Food underwhelming and late/delayed on basic orders on a table of 4- ploughman’s for 2 very disappointing (just sliced ham, few pickles, stale bread, and a couple more f shavings of cheese), burger arrived late with minimal sides, bavette steak with minimal chips.

My parents came to visit and I wanted to take them to see Wimbledon village. Based on reviews, I brought them to the Rose and Crown after previously visiting and having a nice time. There was no lunch menu, being a Sunday and we didn’t want a roast dinner. It was also Father’s Day but there were tables available outside. The food took around an hour to come out and left a lot to be desired. There was a hair on my mother’s cheese board, the chips weren’t great and the sausage and mash was floating in watery gravy. While I understand the staff were busy and it was a Sunday, it is always so disappointing when you spend over £150 as a group on incredibly poor food. I probably won’t be visiting again and I suggest you head further into the village and enjoy a cafe lunch if you are in the same position in the future, you’ll have a better time.

We have stayed here previously- this time only had Sunday lunch. Every time I have visited I always think how well run the place is. It’s can’t think of any negatives really. Great atmosphere from and traditional pub feel, lovely food, good service and a perfect pint! We will we back at any opportunity:-)

Lovely pub, great staff, went to watch the rugby. To be honest not really properly geared to show rugby games , small TVs in bar areas, sound was too low and people walking in front of the TV when there is a different route via corridor. The food was average I would say as well but a great Pub post a walk on the common at the weekends

After a disappointing visit in December 2023 we returned for another visit. This time was excellent! Food was delicious and served in a timely manner. It’s nice to have somewhere local that has good food and you can take your dog with you. We will definitely be returning soon and are glad we gave it another go. A special mention to Jess who was fantastic.

Excellent service in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Sat opposite the fire, good view of the rugby on the well situated screens. The volume wasn’t offensively loud, the beer was good with a decent range and the Triple Cooked Chips were too good to avoid seconds. We’ll be back.

Great service and friendly efficient staff. We visited before Christmas and had a really good meal so we were looking forward to our return visit. The food this time was really average. My husband had a burger & I had a plant burger - they came with a tiny sliver of lettuce and pickle and that was it just a plate of burger & chips that would have been half the price and with extras such as lettuce, tomatoes and mayo elsewhere. Drinks & service were great but I would be wary of returning which is a shame as it’s a great pub.

Love this hotel lively with great accommodating staff the food is excellent with great variety for me the best in Wimbledon. One problem it can be difficult to book in for rooms

Sunday lunch for 5 was excellent - fish & chips, sausages and 3 roasts. Not a 5 star experience as it took over an hour for our lunch to arrive, which was always just being plated up but then didn't arrive. Also our bill was given to us without asking if we'd like dessert. Was all a bit tight for completing our meal before having to hand back the table but cannot fault the meal itself.

This pub is the perfect place for all occasions. New Year, birthdays and evening meals with a great atmosphere.

Could not fault the roast dinner, great service and atmosphere. I opted for the pork belly and the wife had the beef, side dishes of pigs in blankets and Kale with garlic and lemon were also spot on.

8 of us came for dinner on Friday 12th as a post-New Year get together. The atmosphere was wonderful and very busy. Although there was only one young looking waitress running the dining area which was pretty much full, she was very efficient and friendly, making sure that we had substantial amounts of drinks/food to last the evening, and when there was a problem with one of the mains she sorted it out for us straight away. We sat in the garden post dinner which with the heaters on gave really country feel about the place. Will be booking again for our next get together.

Had the Sunday roast. As usual, it was excellent, everything on the plate was done to perfection. Despite New Year’s Eve being busy, the service remained excellent. I’ve been going here for years and will continue to go regularly.

Came here as a family and loved the experience. The food was delicious and staff incredibly helpful. A special mention to Lili who was faultless and made our experience that extra bit special. It's a lovely pub with a great atmosphere and I would definitely go again.

Outrageous service - we waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for our lunch yesterday and then were told it would be another 20 minutes. The bar manager was very nice but clearly not that bothered that clients were expected to wait 2 hours for lunch. We left and went to a cafe next door for a sandwich. Whoever is running the kitchen and restaurant is either inept or doesn't care. The same happened to other people a few weeks ago, Google Reviews show!

Five of us went for Sunday lunch last week. We all had mains and four of us had desserts with a bottle of wine and 5 and a half pints between us. With a 10% tip that came out at £200. The pub is in Wimbledon so we were expecting it to be pricey - to us anyway - but the food wasn't brilliant and I have had a lot better Sunday lunches elsewhere. I had the Megrim (which is a sole-like fish in case anyone reading this doesn't know - I didn't and that's why I tried it). The fish itself was fine, though it wasn't very hot when it arrived, so I guess it had been sitting around for a while before we got served which wasn't great but when I tasted it there was just too much butter! I know you use butter with this type of fish, but I am guessing it was cooked in butter and there were two blobs of butter on top of the fish when it was served! Luckily - for me - I tasted the fish before smearing the blobs over the fish and was glad I didn't add them as well. Now I really like butter, but there was too much on this fish! I ate it, but didn't really enjoy it. No one apart from me had any real complaints, though no-one was raving about what they had. Otherwise, things were OK. We got stuck next to the kitchen as I guess it was awkward with there being 5 of us and service was a bit patchy but it WAS Sunday, so they were busy. Would I go again - not sure.

Six of us went here for lunch, we only had one course each. The food was fine, I decided to have a starter rather than a main, which was mackerel pate and it was pretty good. Service was friendly and good.

A friend and I visited on a wet Monday afternoon - just for a few drinks and a chat. The staff were attentive and made us feel welcome. I left my umbrella behind but fortunately this was discovered and awaits my collection from Reception.Nicky, the manager, was most helpful with my telephone requests for particular seating prior to our visit. (As a family, on other occasions, we have enjoyed the food and relaxed atmosphere.)

It was our first visit to this pub and we will be back again! I have a nut allergy and Steph talked through all the dessert options that I could have; I opted for the sticky toffee pudding and lemon slice, and they we delightful.Steph said she was new to the role, but you couldn't tell. Her service and smile were refreshing and welcoming!

When I visited with my girlfriend we were both surprised how expensive this place was, over £40 for a standard burger and fries each plus one drink each. Also the wait time was over 30 minutes for food and the drinks were slow to arrive at our table. Staff seemed not to care about the wait time as apart from bringing our food & drinks we had no contact with them.If you want expensive food and drinks then this is the place to go, owner/manager needs to look at the prices for the products they are selling

Fantastic lunch for a family birthday. Roast portions were very generous and everyone commented that their food was totally delicious. We eat out a lot and this is one of the best roasts we've had in a long time. Service was excellent as well!

I went with some friends for an evening meal at the Rose and Crown recently. I and some others made our orders. When the others were near the end of their meals I realiised that I still had not received my meal. The waiters were contacted and eventually I got my meal.We were in the outdoor covered dining area and later the fresh air and covid free environment was spoiled by that scourge of outdoor pubs - smokers.

Dissapointng that they arrent enrorcing the rule if 6 at this pub.... the tabke next to us (#71) had 9 people at it for over a hour at 1pm Sat24th . (And they were clearly 3 households).Also very slow service compared to other Youngs pubs in the area.

We have been to Rosie and crown many times over the years and we normally go for Sunday lunch or dinner at the weekends. The last time we went, sadly will be the last time we will go. We were greeted at the door by a waitress who refused to make eye contact and very rudely “tutted” when he asked if there was space without a booking, just a simple yes or no would have sufficed. Then didn’t reply, went away and came back and said you can sit outside. So we followed her through the restaurant where there were many many empty tables to a table outside in the rain. Here we stood for a further five to ten minutes without anyone being able to assist us. We asked a lady who appeared to be the manager in her own clothes where our table was, and she responded by telling us how busy she was and didn’t have time for this.. very rudely. We eventually took a table that no one was sat at in the rain and decided to go somewhere else that appreciates our custom. Really really bothered by the service here and the sheer lack of manners shown by the staff. We both work in hospitality and were shocked leaving as regular customers. Do not go here if you don’t have extremely high levels of patience.

Great food great staff . First time eating out since lockdown and felt very safe . Returning again tomorrow . Staff were friendly and helpful and respected our space . All done on the app.

The staff is excellent, the food is to die for and the wine is delicious. Booking a table on internet is an easy process via the website. But unfortunately the noise when the pub and the restaurant are full is just too much, it's deafening and excruciating. Which makes it almost impossible to have a conversation with your table fellows. And having a conversation is part of the fun of dining out for us...

It's a nice pub with good atmosphere. We had lunch overlooking the rear garden. The food is fairly standard pub grub. Not outstanding but decent enough. Friendly staff and would visit again.

Arriving on Sunday at 1pm, the Rose and Crown is very popular and tables are scarce in this popular Wimbledon Village institutionWith our group of three seated in the bar area, Aiden - the manager - warmly welcomed us and made sure we were attended to, while waiting for a table. He kept us up to date when the tables would become available and was happy to chat and make us feel welcomed. Our table was ready after 20min and we enjoyed a lovely pub lunch, selecting from the wide variety menu. The table staff were responsive, hot food was served quickly (considering how popular the eating area was) and overall I highly commend Aiden's efforts and the table/kitchen staff for their enjoyable lunch.

Llegamos y nos sentamos en el jardín y después de 20 minutos nadie había venido a preguntarnos si queríamos tomar una copa o tomar un pedido. Cuando entré para encontrar a alguien, el personal estaba demasiado ocupado charlando. Luego tuve una pequeña discusión con la recepcionista y un joven que era mesero pasó y me dijo que no fuera tan grosero después de que la recepcionista me decía groseramente que la escuchara. ! Pedí hablar con el gerente, alguien vino a hablarme (no estoy seguro de si ella era la gerente) a quien no parecía importarle menos cuán grosero y despreocupado era su personal con un cliente. Definitivamente no recomendaría este lugar. Hay tantos lugares en Wimbledon Village donde puedes comer y beber y donde el personal es absolutamente encantador.

Hay muchas características excelentes sobre este hotel, todas excelentes. Nos alojamos aquí 3 noches en una habitación doble: espaciosa, cómoda cama grande, Sky TV, radio, té, café, tetera, galletas, manzanas. Baño moderno, ducha, toallas muy suaves de buena calidad, generosas botellas grandes de jabón, crema de ducha, champú, etc. Buenas opciones de desayuno y perfectamente preparadas. La cena muy buena como era el servicio. Muy servicial y particularmente amable en la recepción. La sugerencia de taxi fue genial, muy confiable y con un precio razonable. El bar es acogedor y la zona de asientos al aire libre era genial en un día tan caluroso. La ubicación es perfecta para explorar el pueblo, la ciudad, las tiendas, los restaurantes, el club de tenis y lo común. Aparcamiento gratuito también. . No me quería ir.

Very pleasant English pub hotel come restaurant arrived early so decided to have lunch before our 2 o'clock book in . Very nice food pleasant service. We was shown to our room and given a tour of the faculties available lovely comfortable bed and clean and tidy room very nice receptionist. Had a nice evening with friends drinks pricey but to be expected in the area. Think it would be nice if the staff had casual smart uniform but that's only because I couldn't pick them out sometimes. But would recommend and stay again .

I was fortunate to get tickets to this year;s tournament, and stayed here. The booking was different to the form because of the tennis. The cost was par for the area and the time with immediate payment non-refundable and the restaurant was closed for the evening for the duration, with burgers iavailable n the courtyard and life music. I was forewarned about all that, so knew what to expect. What was nice was the rooms were well appointed and the staff efficient and friendly. They knew exactly what they were doing and cleared the tables quickly and the room was back in order for breakfast the following day. Hope that all Youngs pubs' accommodation is as good as this!

I had a fabulous birthday party with 36 friends and family in the covered courtyard on Saturday evening. The bar staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and plentiful. The kitchen staff did an excellent job. We were quite lucky with the weather but after dark it was great to have the use of the heaters. The pub has a great atmosphere and we have enjoyed food in the restaurant before.

I went with female friends for a late lunch on Friday 31 May and had the cauliflower steak - it was absolutely delicious; exceptionally good. And nothing like my own attempts! Keep that chef!

Fuimos allí para el almuerzo y tuvimos una fuente de compartir del menú. El personal era atento pero no agobiante y la comida era excelente. Notamos un buen número de mesas reservadas en el área de comedor en la parte de atrás del pub, donde nos sentamos, y con la comida y el servicio tan buenos, no nos sorprende. Definitivamente volveré,

We go as a group of 10 once a month th Duncan’s Quiz night. He runs it every week but we can’t get there that often. We all are and it was great. Hubby and I had the pork belly plus some veg.

We've stayed here a few times and eaten here quite a few times, and have always been very, very happy. The food is consistently good and the service is consistently good (even taking into account that it gets extremely busy at certain times of the week). The setting is great, the ambience is great, and the selection of beers, wines and food is terrific. What really makes it for us, though, is the people: Come here once, and you're make to feel like a welcome guest; come here a few times, and you're made to feel part of the family. Thanks to everyone at the R&C;!

Had an evening business meeting at this pub and found it had a great atmosphere, provided efficient and attentive service, and good quality pub food. What more could you ask for?

Visitamos como dos familias para el almuerzo del domingo. Llegamos a mediodía y habíamos hecho un pedido de comida a las 12: 30 y no recibimos nuestra comida hasta las 2 pm. Tuvimos que preguntarle al personal 3 veces, cada vez que leíamos la respuesta del guión de que la comida sería una hora, y cuando se nos dijo que ya habíamos pasado una hora, se disculparon, dijeron que volverían a nosotros y no lo harían. No fue hasta que me enojé con un camarero que el gerente finalmente vino a vernos para decirnos que habían perdido el pedido en la cocina. A pesar de poder reimprimir el pedido. Finalmente, la comida llegó, nuestro grupo estaba harto y el almuerzo se echó a perder. El gerente no nos cobró, pero esencialmente la administración es incompetente. Parece que hay muchos camareros presentes, todos parecen tener alrededor de 18 años, pero Dios sabe lo que pasa en la cocina. Todos los camareros parecían miserables.

Entré para un domingo asado con mi familia y saqué un chip en mi hombro (y algo de ansiedad por meter el chip). La comida tardó más de una hora en salir y, a pesar de mi clara muestra de falta de impresión que me ignoraron, el personal aquí claramente necesita una forma o brail para leer el lenguaje corporal. Asqueroso. Luego tuve que acercarme al gerente, que era desdeñoso y grosero, tenía una mirada persistente en sus ojos como si hubiera pateado claramente a un gato u otro animal pequeño antes, era muy inquietante. Finalmente, tuve que pedirle al novio de mi esposa que dijera una palabra, lo cual fue muy embarazoso para él, no debería tener que defender a mi familia cuando su único propósito es satisfacer a mi esposa. Cuando finalmente llegó la comida, la arrojaron sobre la mesa, como si intentaran aplastar una mosca con el plato, o lanzarles una golosina a los gatos que el manager pudo haber pateado. No solo pagué el promedio de la mejor comida con dinero, sino también con TIEMPO. El pobre esfuerzo, Rosa y corona, debería ser renombrado como "espina y casco".

He tenido un gran trabajo de comida de Navidad aquí hoy. Realmente impresionado con la calidad de la comida para un grupo ya que estas cosas siempre son un poco impredecibles. Particularmente me gustaron las verduras, ya que estas son a menudo una idea de último momento y se sacaron tazones extra de papas y verduras asadas. La opción de verduras era excelente. El servicio también era genial. Me sentí realmente navideño.

Nos sentamos en el comedor, que es cómodo e informal. El personal nos dejó acomodarnos y luego nos preguntó si nos gustaría algo de agua u otros refrescos mientras esperábamos nuestra habitación.

特にサンデーローストと本日のスープがお薦めです。２回行きましたが、２回とも美味しかったです。Wimbledonでいくつかパブを周りましたが、ここが一番美味しいと思いました。ただ結構混んでいるので、時間帯によっては予約しないと入れない可能性があります。

My girlfriend and I lasted about five minutes in this place.

We visited The Rose & Crown specifically for Sunday Roast lunch. We had friends visiting from South Africa and we needed a mid point for family to gather to catch up. We arrived early to et a table as we couldn't book for Sunday lunch on line. The bar staff were obviously new and lost but floor staff definitely saved it. The decor is traditional, I think it maybe need a declutering. The bar is at the front of the main restaurant with a sunny garden at the back. Whist this venue may appear dark from outside it actually a bright nice mix of many rooms so you never get the sense that it is a dull venue with mass produced food. We all had a Roast lunch - beef, pork and chicken . Each dish was excellent but I have to say that the pork was the overall winner. Beautifully presented. Excellent yorkshire pudding, pink beef, great gravy and outstanding gravy. Haden our waiter was excellent, witty with a good knowledge. Customer service with a smile. I cannot fault this place. Our South African friends have returned having had the best roast dinner ever. Thank you for a great day.

He visitado en varias ocasiones para bebidas/comida/tanto y el pub es consistentemente bueno. Me siento como tiene mucho más ambiente que el perro y el zorro por la carretera y un servicio mejor que el Fox y uvas al otro lado de la común. Es generalmente menos abarrotado y más adecuada para todas las temporadas. Los incendios están encendidas en el invierno y el jardín de la cerveza está en plena vigencia durante el invierno, impresionante. Los asados son especialmente buenas, simplemente haz lo contrario que puede esperar un rato! Entonces de nuevo, vale la pena la espera. Gran lugar si estás en la zona.

Este es un viejo pub grande con alojamiento en Wimbledon Village; justo en el borde del común, con una gran zona de comedor en la parte trasera. Cuatro de nosotros tuvimos una muy buena comida de domingo: mi pastel de pescado era excelente y trucha ahumada de mi esposa, pan de centeno y sopa de guisantes también dio en el clavo. Todo acompañado por un vino blanco de Rioja. Un servicio eficiente y una buena relación calidad-precio para esta zona de categoría. Nos visitantes regulares cuando vivíamos cerca de Wimbledon, y sigue siendo una espera muy fiable si estás en la zona.

Este hallazgo fue increíble para nosotros. Un poco más adelante de la estación de lo que esperábamos, pero la comida era deliciosa, el servicio era fantástico y el mantenimiento general y el ambiente era muy bueno. Gran jardín de cerveza (aunque era en su mayoría sombra cuando estuvimos allí. Sin duda, volveré a comer de nuevo.

Mi marido y yo nos alojamos por dos noches la semana pasada nos alojamos en la habitación 9, que era una habitación grande y preciosa, teníamos un desayuno encantador ambas mañanas servido por Jetta (he estado viniendo ahora por tres años y es bonito ver a algunos de los mismos feliz, el personal era amable y educado y la encantadora Jane en recepción que hará todo lo posible para ayudar y hacernos sentir bienvenidos. Teníamos un bistec encantador en el restaurante la segunda noche y fue precioso.

Cenamos en el restaurante en el pub. Preguntamos a la camarera si era el servicio de mesa y felizmente ella dijo que sí. Posteriormente tuvimos que encontrar nuestra propia menús y tras una larga espera a nosotros como servicios de bar era simplemente no asistir.

The pub is absolutely gorgeous. Really old traditional British pub. We had to start, the cured meat platter to share( It was massive and top quality meat served on a wooden tray. Who doesn’t like a bit of rustic). As main we had the duck ( 3 words “ To Die For”) and Monkfish scampi .. yes I need to repeat Myself real piece of Monkfish as a scampi ( can I have it for breakfast, lunch and dinner PLEASE ? ).

Very disappointing. Left feeling very hungry and went elsewhere. Service was great as usual and nice wine, but food a real let down . I had recommended it to my friend based on previous experiences.

Una pequeña joya, el hotel ha sido renovado a un buen nivel y nuestra habitación era espaciosa, muy tranquilo, tenía una cama cómoda y una buena ducha.

Habiendo planeado visitar otro pub, que estaba lleno, nos alegramos de encontrar (sólo unas pocas mesas de repuesto a la 1 de la tarde para comer el domingo.

Comida de Navidad en familia fue un gran éxito. El personal es tan agradable y una mesa bellamente decoradas. El menú era aventurero pero con todos los adornos de Navidad que esperas. El chef hizo un trabajo excelente y la comida era excepcional. Yo opté por la carne, que era de tamaño raro y perfectamente preparado. Propietario encantador y amable (señora) que dirigía todo el día perfectamente.

La esperanza de evitar las multitudes que normalmente acuden para su almuerzo de domingo llegamos a 3. 30:00h y aún tuvimos que esperar 20 minutos para una mesa para 6 huéspedes, aunque previamente habían reservado.

Thought it would be a good idea to have Christmas Lunch here at £31 for three courses with six friends. Quality poor an roast potatoes could have been yesterday’s an overall not good value at all. Did mention disappointment an was given free coffees...,please do not waste your money here for Christmas lunch. Do not feel they are bothered as in Wimbledon Village but plenty of better places at cheaper prices.

Refurbished to a very good standard, the room I stayed in was very comfortable and spacious; with complementary sky sports and a fantastic shower I could not fault it.

Service at the table from drinks to meal. Menu is compact but has enough choice of starters / light bites, main courses and deserts. The staff were attentive but without being intrusive and nothing was too much trouble. Only slight issue was child's meal coming...

We stayed here for two nights recently to attend a wedding, I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone in the area. The room was lovely with a very large and comfortable bed and a wonderful modern shower room, the fact that this establishment has its own car park for resident guests is an absolute boon and makes it the perfect option if you have to travel into the area with a car. The level of noise from the road outside was fine and caused us no problems.
