Why can it be so unpalatable, super salty! I won’t eat there again in the future Taste of MSG

Had a really nice meal. The food and service was fantastic. We would definitely go back the next time we are back in York.

Service by Pucca was great, smiley and helpful. Food was tasty , we had green curry and aubergine dish. Music in background but not loud so easy to chat and hear. Would dine here again

Delicious! I learned to cook Thai food and this place does a great job in keeping true to the roots and still spin it a tiny bit. Warm place, including their smiles and my attempts to speak in Thai with them 🫶 Big restaurant so lots of seating. Clean bathrooms. One in our party brought their own food and they were kindly told that outside food wasn't accepted. But let them stay. Very kind. My favorite restaurant in York!

First time in Rosa's for the two of us. We normally visit the traditional Thai independent restaurants in York. The food was outstanding in quality and flavour, so no complaints there. Quantity-wise, we actually felt the portions were too large, especially the Pad Thai. Great, if you want to gorge, but a waste of good food if you have to leave some when you cannot finish it. The service was wonderful; fast, friendly, and could not be more obliging. The temperature in the restaurant was spot-on. And everything was incredibly clean. The issues. The atmosphere; it felt soulless. If you are looking for a traditional Thai feel restaurant, you will not find it here. It felt corporate, like a national chain, which of course, it is; the wrong type of music and décor. Also, the imposed service charge of 12.5%. I do not like being told to reward someone by having this charge automatically added. I know I could have chosen to have it removed, but I prefer to reward myself, often more than 12.5%. And finally, two starters, two mains, wines and a small sparkling water £97! In summary, great food, great staff, you will not leave hungry, and you will not be cold, but it's just too pricey for us.

Excellent food, lovely atmosphere, really nice environment. Very clean. Reasonably priced. An all round great experience 🙂

Pucca provided quick service and was understanding even when I mispronounced the menus food.

Very friendly, welcoming place, the staff were warm and polite. The food was the star of the show absolutely amazing, authentic, tasty and left us wanting more. The meat was so tender it cut with a spoon . The portions were generous and left us full. Would highly recommend to everyone and anyone.

Aroi Mak 🙌🏻. Start to finish was first class in here. Staff were all incredible I didn’t catch any names I’m afraid but the 3 I seen ( 2 lady and 1 guy) were all friendly, helpful and their authentic Thai selves 🙏🏻. We were a table of 4 plus a baby and ordered many dishes, all of which were superb and as close as any I’ve had in Thailand. I asked for my pad kra pow - phed phed and I was over the moon it came loaded with spice and chillies galore 😍. Thank you all and will be sure to visit next time we are in York.

Food arrived in a timely manner. Great variety of Veg and non-veg food. Amazing and kind service from Chompoo. Highly recommend the aubergine and the papaya salad, both extremely flavourful.

Food is absolutely delicious and staff are lovely! We visited last night, the food did take a while to come as it was very busy but our waiter Julian was very apologetic and offered us prawn crackers and dips to tide us over. We assumed there was a staffing issue at the time as Julian told us it had never been like this before. The food was absolutely worth the wait - so tasty, good portion sizes, well presented, no complaints at all! It was my sisters birthday at the time so we got offered desert too! Julian was a lovely waiter and made the whole experience great for us. It was clearly a stressful shift but he remained calm and still delivered great customer service. Thank you Julian!

Came for dinner on my own, a lovely warm atmosphere. Pucca was my waitress , she was great, very friendly and timely with bringing my drinks, food and the bill. The pad Thai was delicious.

Bubble thai milk tea below standard, no tea smell, and Bubble too soft. Pad Thai below standard, I can make a better disc with the prepared food from M＆S. The curry crispy pork is not crispy at all. The curry is a bit salty. The clear soup chicken noodles below standard, too, the soup and chicken taste no good at all.

Tuvimos una gran cena. Donuts de gambas para empezar que eran increíbles y la mejor almohadilla tailandesa como uno de los platos principales. También recomendaría uno de los cócteles, refresco de lima kaffir de piña. El personal y el servicio fueron geniales, especialmente gracias a Pucca.

Really great vibe in this restaurant! I asked for recommendations and Pucca was great help with guiding me on what’s nice. Definitely recommend this place for a warm chill atmosphere

Wonderful, honestly the best restaurant experience I can remember having in the last few years. Staff (especially Pucca!) are so lovely and accommodating, great sense of humour and friendly :) food is incredible, my friend got the pad thai and loved it but I went with the small papaya salad (very strong spicy flavours, fresh and delicious) chicken satay (lovely and warming) and the pork skewers (my favourite!! So good and savoury). Lemongrass pandan drink is soo refreshing, with a warm vanilla aftertaste. If you’ve ever had taro milk tea, it’s a similar vibe but a bit lighter. Unfortunately I don’t live locally otherwise I’d be back once a week!

We had a lovely meal with window view onto to city street. Great portion sizes and plenty to choose from. Very friendly staff especially Chompoo who provided great service and even directed us to some of her favourite meals, which was great help! Will definitely be back again soon!

The spices were incredible in all dishes and tasted so homey; spices were almost too incredible because I cried from the spiciness of the Birds Eye chilli in the papaya salad. 10/10

I have to say pad thai was one of the best ones I've ever tried. I would recommend it to anyone - thai cuisine lovers and those who never tried it!

The service is great but the food is severely lacking and underwhelming. The plates and bowls are also plastic.

Exceptional pad thai, both the one with shrimp and the one with chicken! Friendly staff and impeccable service; also, it's open until late for lunch, we eat at 2pm safely! The venue is beautiful, which makes the atmosphere even more pleasant

Absolutely Amazing food and service, can't wait to go back. We had the king prawn red curry ( big and plenty of them)and the beef cheek (OMG..it melted in your mouth) massaman. Delicious, would highly recommend a long with the jasmine rice and broccoli sides. A Big Big Thank you to Pucca who looked after us, nothing was too much trouble x

We came to York for a day trip and stay at Radisson York.. And Rosa's Thai York was just 7 min walk from the hotel. Beautiful ambience and good customer service. The food was spicy if u would prefer, and that's our regular order at Thai restaurant. We ordered Chicken Pad Thai and Tom Yum Chicken soup.. Since we were NHS sfaff and using Blue Light card we got a 10 or 20 % Discount

Was really looking forward to visiting but unfortunately the waiting times for our order took a total of 2 hours. The waitress serving was kind however the service was not great. The food was mediocre- the starter was cold and the mains took another 45 minutes to arrive. Overall, we were not impressed.

Got ripped off here, went for the set menu for us both for £24 per person and some how paid £106, I'm visually impaired so could not see the details on the bill and just paid, only to find out later we had been charged for every item individually. The service was incredibly slow, I will not be going back as there are better Thai restaurants in York

El pollo usado en el curry no era carne de pechuga, así que probablemente parecía carne de muslo congelada. Desagradable y caro. £ 47 por dos currys y un refresco cada uno. Hay muchas mejores opciones en York.
