Popped in for an evening meal whilst staying in York for a few nights during a work trip. Warm welcome and absolutely delicious food, staff were very friendly.

Popped in for an evening meal whilst staying in York for a few nights during a work trip. Warm welcome and absolutely delicious food, staff were very friendly. The cashew stir fry with tofu and vegetables was 🤌

This was our first visit and won't be our last. The food was excceptional and the staff so friendly too. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.

I came with my mother and grandparents for lunch, we were served by Pookie who was nice and polite and made sure all our needs were tended to! The food was delicious and comforting as always! Always a great place to stop for food.

Fabulous place to eat. If you haven't tried it I suggest you do because we could not find fault with any of it. The food was the best we have had in years and trust me we have tried lots. Will definitely be returning. Pucca who looked after us during our meal was so lovely and went out if her way to make sure we had everything we needed. Huge thanks to her - she is a huge credit to you!

Such a lovely evening with lovely food :) Not too loud, a nice warm and pretty atmosphere! Luke made our night they were so friendly and smiley. Will be coming back!!

Me and my family came across this Thai restaurant and were blown away by the excellent service and the delicious food. If I could give it six stars I would. Great experience, would 100% recommend.

The food here is always really good. Pucca was really nice and gave me good recommendations.

I ordered a red Thai curry and the curry was ruined completely by a cubed chicken with bad taste and weird texture, fatty as well, it was frozen cubed meat, no fresh chicken breast like you would expect in a curry. Very disappointing experience. I don't recommend this place for authentic Thai food.

Absolutely delicious! My red curry was amazing, my husband’s pad kra pao was just out of this world ! We were served by a lady wearing grey top and trousers, sorry did not catch your name but you were great :))

We stumbled across this place for lunch, the day after boxing day. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the staff who greeted us were friendly and welcoming. Jasmine was super helpful throughout and even came to check in on us and offer water when one of us had a coughing episode mid meal. ( it went down the wrong way 😂) We shared a portion of summer rolls to start and each picked a dish from the lunch menu. (12 dishes for £12 each) The food was absolutely delicious, so tasty and a good portion size. We loved it and will definitely be back. Thank you Rosa's Thai!

Delicious! I learned to cook Thai food and this place does a great job in keeping true to the roots and still spin it a tiny bit. Warm place, including their smiles and my attempts to speak in Thai with them 🫶 Big restaurant so lots of seating. Clean bathrooms. One in our party brought their own food and they were kindly told that outside food wasn't accepted. But let them stay. Very kind. My favorite restaurant in York!

We come across the restaurant on a busy Saturday afternoon and decided on feast set menu and it was delicious. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. It was reasonably priced and the food did not disappoint! Highly recommend if In york

First time in Rosa's for the two of us. We normally visit the traditional Thai independent restaurants in York. The food was outstanding in quality and flavour, so no complaints there. Quantity-wise, we actually felt the portions were too large, especially the Pad Thai. Great, if you want to gorge, but a waste of good food if you have to leave some when you cannot finish it. The service was wonderful; fast, friendly, and could not be more obliging. The temperature in the restaurant was spot-on. And everything was incredibly clean. The issues. The atmosphere; it felt soulless. If you are looking for a traditional Thai feel restaurant, you will not find it here. It felt corporate, like a national chain, which of course, it is; the wrong type of music and décor. Also, the imposed service charge of 12.5%. I do not like being told to reward someone by having this charge automatically added. I know I could have chosen to have it removed, but I prefer to reward myself, often more than 12.5%. And finally, two starters, two mains, wines and a small sparkling water £97! In summary, great food, great staff, you will not leave hungry, and you will not be cold, but it's just too pricey for us.

Very friendly, welcoming place, the staff were warm and polite. The food was the star of the show absolutely amazing, authentic, tasty and left us wanting more. The meat was so tender it cut with a spoon . The portions were generous and left us full. Would highly recommend to everyone and anyone.

I love this place, I at least come here to eat once a week. Pucca whom I haven't seen before is very sweet and bubbly! Her service was great!!

Food arrived in a timely manner. Great variety of Veg and non-veg food. Amazing and kind service from Chompoo. Highly recommend the aubergine and the papaya salad, both extremely flavourful.

Aroi Mak 🙌🏻. Start to finish was first class in here. Staff were all incredible I didn’t catch any names I’m afraid but the 3 I seen ( 2 lady and 1 guy) were all friendly, helpful and their authentic Thai selves 🙏🏻. We were a table of 4 plus a baby and ordered many dishes, all of which were superb and as close as any I’ve had in Thailand. I asked for my pad kra pow - phed phed and I was over the moon it came loaded with spice and chillies galore 😍. Thank you all and will be sure to visit next time we are in York.

Food is absolutely delicious and staff are lovely! We visited last night, the food did take a while to come as it was very busy but our waiter Julian was very apologetic and offered us prawn crackers and dips to tide us over. We assumed there was a staffing issue at the time as Julian told us it had never been like this before. The food was absolutely worth the wait - so tasty, good portion sizes, well presented, no complaints at all! It was my sisters birthday at the time so we got offered desert too! Julian was a lovely waiter and made the whole experience great for us. It was clearly a stressful shift but he remained calm and still delivered great customer service. Thank you Julian!

We had lunch in this restaurant and the food is super good, the environment is also so cozy and nice. Pookie is very friendly and helpful during our visit and we will definitely come back another time.

Bubble thai milk tea below standard, no tea smell, and Bubble too soft. Pad Thai below standard, I can make a better disc with the prepared food from M＆S. The curry crispy pork is not crispy at all. The curry is a bit salty. The clear soup chicken noodles below standard, too, the soup and chicken taste no good at all.

Tuvimos una gran cena. Donuts de gambas para empezar que eran increíbles y la mejor almohadilla tailandesa como uno de los platos principales. También recomendaría uno de los cócteles, refresco de lima kaffir de piña. El personal y el servicio fueron geniales, especialmente gracias a Pucca.

Really great vibe in this restaurant! I asked for recommendations and Pucca was great help with guiding me on what’s nice. Definitely recommend this place for a warm chill atmosphere

Wonderful, honestly the best restaurant experience I can remember having in the last few years. Staff (especially Pucca!) are so lovely and accommodating, great sense of humour and friendly :) food is incredible, my friend got the pad thai and loved it but I went with the small papaya salad (very strong spicy flavours, fresh and delicious) chicken satay (lovely and warming) and the pork skewers (my favourite!! So good and savoury). Lemongrass pandan drink is soo refreshing, with a warm vanilla aftertaste. If you’ve ever had taro milk tea, it’s a similar vibe but a bit lighter. Unfortunately I don’t live locally otherwise I’d be back once a week!

Visité York con mi hermana y habiendo estado en Rosa's Thai anteriormente visitamos de nuevo. Los cócteles eran fabulosos, el personal era amable y servicial. La comida estaba tan desaliñada como la última vez. Sin duda recomendaría a amigos y familiares. x

Fue un jueves por la noche en noviembre, sin reserva, pero un montón de mesas disponibles. Gran servicio por el chico que nos atendió y en particular Pookie que realmente me ayudó con el menú y dio grandes consejos sobre qué pedir. Los platos que elegimos - todo a base de verduras / tofu eran fantásticos. Porciones de buen tamaño y muy sabrosas con la cantidad justa de calor. Sin duda recomendaría - gracias por una gran comida
