Rosa's Thai York in York

Went to York for the weekend with 2 of our friends. We had a table booked for 21.30 on Saturday 17 May 2025. Food was amazing as was the service. Erin our server was so friendly and enjoyed good banter. If you haven't been to Rosa's Thai in York then you need to pay a visit. Everything was superb from Start to finish. 10/10

This was perfect Thai food. The papaya salad was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. A great place to eat

Food wasn't very good compared to the one we visited at Bath. We ordered Pad See Eaw, Fried Rice, and Pad Thai. The Pad See Eaw was very salty, and flat noodles were hard. Rice used for the Fried Rice was all mushy.

Our waitress Erin was so attentive and lovely :) The food was also very delicious !!

Food was very good. Atmosphere pleasant. Amy, our server - a polyglot who speaks unaccented English, French, and Thai - was delightful!

The restaurant had a real warm and friendly vibe we were served by a delightful young person whose name was Pucca very attentive and friendly, cheerful great service and experience will definitely go there again

AMAZING lunch, and the next bubble tea i've ever had. I got the Veg + Tofu fried rice and I seriously couldn't stop eating it even when I was definitely full 😂 Pucca and Erin were great hosts and very kind and informative. Absolutely lovely girls.

I had a very nice papaya salad, and that ambience was pleasant. My server, Pucca, went above and beyond, though, and made my experience exceptional. I'd definitely go back.

Lovely food and excellent service from Amy. Amy apologised for the slight delay to ordering due to the restaurant being busy which wasn't a problem at all, we didnt feel as though we were waiting long for a Saturday evening. She then suggested we moved to a bigger table when the food arrived to share food more easily. Would recommend and revisit in the future.

Rosas Thai served the best Pad Thai I've ever had. Same is true for the Satay. Service was very efficient and welcoming.

Every dish we tried was delicious, from the spicy curries to the perfectly cooked noodles. What made our visit truly memorable, though, was the outstanding service. A special thank you to Jasmine, our waitress, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. She was warm, attentive, and had great recommendations that made our meal even better. Highly recommend this spot if you’re in York—great atmosphere, excellent food, and top-notch service!

We enjoyed a lovely meal after theatre. The food was amazing and drinks were lovely. My teenage boys said the food had made their night. Staff is friendly and Pucca made sure our food and drinks made their way promptly. Great service and wonderful food, so good we didn't have time to take photos!!

Possibly the worst Thai meal I've ever had

Have been a few times already, food is always amazing and is brought out so quickly I'm surprised each time. Employees are also very polite, I was served by Erin and she provided a wonderful service and made sure I was happy with everything. Atmosphere was great too, jazz was a surprisingly good pick for an eatery like this. Props all around!

Food was exceptional. I had the red Thai curry and my husband had the Green. Both agreed it was delicious. Service was quick and Pucca who served us was lovely. Highly recommend :-)

We had a lovely meal here at Rosa's - we were seated quickly and the Amy and the other staff were all very attentive. The food came out quickly and was delicious, and Amy was so bubbly and chatty throughout her service, and made the meal even more enjoyable! Look forward to coming back already :)

Excellent food, staff are lovely and very friendly however service was quite slow - we waited 15 minutes to get the bill.

I ordered the Thai green curry with chicken and sticky rice. The food was lovely with the curry being the standout!, it was rich with flavour and plenty of fillings will still staying spicy, not an easy balance to reach! We were served by Pucca, who was very friendly and helpful. She was lovely and happy to answer any questions we had about the menu. Definitely recommend this restaurant !

Wonderful host and delicious food

As always, Rosa's Thai was delicious, our standard Thai place (specifically pad thai). We sat in today because we happened to be in town and were served by Amy, who was lovely, attentive and considerate (not annoying like many waiters can be). Great food and atmosphere!

Best thai food by far , fantastic staff

Top tier service and delicious food. Pookie anticipated our needs before we could even ask and also (after checking) surprised my daughter with a chocolate Easter egg. Worth a trip.

We had a lovely meal at Rosa’s Thai in York! The food was delicious, but what really made the experience stand out was the service. Amy took care of us and she was incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful throughout. She made sure everything was perfect and added such a welcoming touch to our visit. Highly recommend this place — great food and even better service! And one more thing; an impressive song playlist!

Lovely meal and well looked after by Pucca.

Absolutely gorgeous food, and a lovely dining experience. My only small gripe was the background music which I can only describe as jazzy! But it wasn’t too loud and didn’t kill the mood. The service was excellent and Erin was very attentive. What a marvellous way to end a short break away with my wife
