A truly excellent restaurant.. we were served by Ducca who went out of her way to make us feel at home.. the foods arrival was fast and it was really delicious. The menu was actually so extensive we just couldn't choose. Decor great, music relaxing.. prices fair.. I can’t wait to go again..

Bought the Classic Sharing Platter for me and my wife and no chicken was available so we were offered extra calamari as an alternative, the platter would be only fit as a starter and the cost considerably more than you would expect.

First class food with a nice menu.

I arrived around 5 p.m. alone，I was sitting in the front area. where not many people there. After the customers next to me left，there is just me in there. Then all the lighting suddenly turned off. I had to keep enjoying the food in a really dark area. It was rainning and really dark in the restaurant. Even I feel like no one gonna noticed me sitting there. I asked for the first stuff about this，he didn‘t try to solve this issue. While I was waiting him，I can hear stuffs just chatting and laughing in the back. Then I asked again to the second stuff，she told me the restaurant turned the lightings off after 5 every day and this is how it is in the evening. I can only accepted it. Even though tbe food is okay（I just ordered the mango sticky rice），but I can‘t really enjoy it according to this situation. After 10 mins I finished my food，I just saw a stuff bring the candles on the other tables. Even though it is still really dark. Awaful experience.

Best Thai food I’ve had in the UK

A lovely small, intimate restaurant. The food was full of flavour. My green curry with beef cheeks was wonderful. When you visit Rosa’s Thai make shure you are hungry, the portions are very generous. Our server, Chompoo, was lovely. She was always smiling and had a great knowledge of the dishes on the menu. She brightened our evening. We will visit again the next time we are in York.

Visiting York for a few days and chanced upon Rosa's Thai York. Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere of the place. Wonderful service and well-looked after by our waitress, Pookie. Happily recommend if you are in the mood for Thai food.

Truly a 5 star restaurant in York. The food is amazing, authentic Thai food with incredible attention to detail and flavours. The service was excellent, with a special mention to Pucca who was very sweet and helpful. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and located in great area of the city. Will definitely be coming back!

I was a relatively early diner so didn’t really expect much atmosphere but the food arrived promptly and my Thai Green Curry and coconut rice was excellent. Courteous and efficient service from Chompoo made for a most enjoyable meal. Thoroughly recommended.

The food was delicious and all the staff were friendly. The food was very delicious. I stopped by twice, Saturday evening and Sunday lunch, and went in without waiting. I like spicy food, so I asked for it to be more spicy. The Pucca manager was very kind. Haha.

I came to York for the day with my wife and found Rosa’s online after a quick search as we both fancied Thai. I can honestly say that all the great reviews are justified as the food we had was some of the best Thai I’ve ever had. The atmosphere was great and the service fantastic. Chompoo was out hostess and she was always at hand with a friendly smile. The only disappointment I have is that I don’t live nearer so that I can visit more often.

Starters were not freshly prepared, it felt like they were quick microwaved. Chilli basil chicken was too salty. Service wasn't great either, there was not enough cutlury on the table and even after requesting we didn't had proper for main course

We visited late last night, arriving just after 9pm, and not expecting to be served. The waiting staff were so kind and helpful, not rushing us at all. We ordered starters and mains, before being informed that kitchen was closing… so if we were thinking of staying for dessert we'd have to order that before food arrived. The food was fantastic, even though we were the only customers left. Staff left us to enjoy ourselves and asked us not to rush as we got up to leave. They had a great sense of humour. The entire experience meant we'll definitely be back again.

We loved it at Rosa’s in York. They fitted us in at the last minute and the staff were lovely. Great service. Absolutely beautiful food; great lychee cocktails too! We had four different dishes and they were all tasty, very generous portions with plentiful prawns and chicken. Couldn’t fault it and we would go again if ever in York again !!

Popped into Rosas for lunch on a trip to York. The setting is very nice, the staff were just amazing really helpful. Most importantly the food was totally scrumptious as was my cocktail. Would definitely go back or recommend to friends.

Very strange. All starters were nice. Fresh. Tasty dipping sauces. Then the mains came. The meat in both was unpleasant and cheap tasting. It really ruined the meal for us. Service was friendly but lacking. Overall a shame because we had high hopes.
