This roosters is brilliant. Along with Eastleigh, the best I have tried. I highly recommend the chicken burger meal.

Roosters London road in Southampton has always been good. However, of recent, I have ordered chicken from there on 3 occasions and it has not been the same as before. I don't know whether you changed your supplier or grade of chicken but it is not nice. When you eating it, you can smell the raw chicken smell and it is off putting, then you guys overly season the chicken to disguise this taste and the medium goes from medium hot to chilli hot with so many visible chilli flakes. I love the team in there and the service is good but the chicken taste has changed, ask anyone that orders half or full or quarter chicken as a meal, the taste has changed! Hopefully you guys sort it out and get back to the quality taste you were known for.

I sat in and had lunch time, special, half chicken with lemon and herb source with piri piri chips at a good price. The lemon and herb source was so good. It was smothered all over it. 100% pleasantly surprised and will be back again.

We ordered halloumi wrap with chips and chicken wrap with sweet potatoe fries. However the halloumi wrap was not it in the bag. When calling the restaurant to say it was missing. They did not belive us and said they had cctv to prove that they put the wrap in the bag. Never received the wrap. Also tried to blame there drive and told us to get hold of just eat instead of them. Me and my partner were staying at southampton hospital following our babies stay in intensive care and really could of done without being accused of stealing a 7 pound wrap. Terrible service.

Avoid if possible. Horrendous waiting times!

Chicken was good, but my girlfriend got the halloumi wrap and the halloumi was whiter than a sheet of paper. Only had a few bites, could’ve at least cooked it

The chips were hot and crispy as well as the chicken nicely cooked and much sauce.

Received raw chicken thighs from here yesterday extremely disappointing as me and my family order from here very often I must say this is the first time we’ve experienced a problem like this but have been completely put off

Chicken fillet burger was dry, bland, tasteless and warm not hot, no marinade. The fries were good. Tables were just left with dirty dishes on them. Disappointing.

The burger was not juicy, lacked flavour and was not hot. Felt like the patty was microwaved. The chips were nice though, freshly made. The table was dirty, not cleaned well, and I found a long hair on it. The Roosters tried in Nottingham was quite good, but this one was a disappointment.

Very tasty food - as you can imagine it’s very close to Nandos chickens, so good quality food. Tried the lemon and herb chicken which was excellent.

Customer service needs a bit of work. The lady working at the counter seems like she doesn’t wanna be there and comes across as rude. The atmosphere is pretty good and food isn’t too bad.

Highly recommended and one of my staple food to fill me up. Great place to get 1/2 or 1/4 chicken with fries and a drink for a decent price. The fries are really deliciously done and crispy even when delivered. The portion of the chicken is slightly larger than what you can get at other peri-peri shops around the area

We ordered two Lebanese chicken wraps one with salad one without which were both very tasty however about 4 to 5 hours later myself and my partner began to experience stomach pains which have gone on throughout the night. I think perhaps it might be down to poor hygiene standards in store, but who knows I don’t think I’ll be coming back again 🙁

Had buffalo wings and chicken strips. Thought it had too much lemon, the taste of wings was missing. Service was good and fast with a smile. Parking easily available but you have to pay.

Was very disappointed with the delivery times was told one one thing and then another when I rang the restaurant, then was told it was delivered when it wasn’t restaurant also told me It was drivers fault and driver told me it was the restaurants fault so overall was best pleased with delivery, food wasn’t to bad but chips came cold

I ordered quarter chicken with chips they said it is a meal but it doesn’t come with drink! They serve chicken with tasty sauce, it was delicious but the chicken leg was so small, that was not a big problem for me but their customer service disappointed me. the gentleman was behind the till was so unhappy to serving customer, I asked him some questions and he was not helpful.

Fast, tasty and never disappoints. Far better than Nando’s.

Special thanks to the guy at the grill who was really nice to me and knows exactly how to perfectly season the meat. (I was there at 8pm June 14th, 2022). The grilled chicken that I ordered was exactly to my taste and out of this world. Good hospitality and good food. Overall great staff.

I love Roosters Have the app and I think it is the best Piri Piri Place and certainlythe best fast food Joint. Would recommend a Single Lebanese Chicken wrap with Halomi and a side of piri piri Chips. For drink I recommend the freshly squeezed orange juice.

'Good food takes time'. Enjoy freshly prepared chicken, chips and flavoured rice. Fantastic customer service. They don't serve hot thinks which I prefer when it is cold out, so we didn't order any soft drinks. Great place to eat in or take out anyway.

I ordered a chicken burger meal but they gave me something else and on the potatoes wages they put too much piri piri salt which was not eatable and the burger was disgusting. I won’t go there again.

Ordered a chicken burger meal today and when I asked for a drink they told me it does not come with a drink. I'm like what meal comes without a drink. A meal is a complete meal with a drink. Roosters recently updated thier menu apparently which has also increased the price but cut out the drink in the meals. I like the food at roosters and ordered from there on a regular basis. But today will be my last visit, after the service and new menu. I mean £8.49 for a meal without a drink....takes the mickey if you ask me. Goodbye roosters ill take by business elsewhere where they actually give you a complete meal.

Customer service from female ‘store manager’ was awful. Would not recommend and would not order from this Roosters again. Food delivered without fries, contacted store and even offered to come and collect the food, however would only give me the forgotten fries and not replace the rest of the meal which would of course be left cold!! It was their mistake and made to feel like I was trying to get free food but just wanted the meal I paid for actually warm!! From reading the rest of the reviews sounds like the customer service has gone downhill, kept telling me she understood but not prepared to do anything about it. AWFUL

REALLY REALLY BAD FIRST EXPERIENCE! First of all, I called in about 3 times before they answered their calls to take my order secondly I waited OVER an hour to get a strips platter (only 12 pieces of chicken) and chips and I don’t live far from the place (surely it should’ve came quicker delivery time wise) then I opened up my order to get cold stale chips and THE WRONG CHICKEN ORDER. I received a single platter of chicken instead of a strips platter. REALLY REALLY was not happy with the service at this place. Extremely disappointed! 👎👎👎👎👎👎

Ordered a loaded cheese burger and arrived with no cheese, garlic bread was a joke, burger was OK, chips were nice but probably won't order again

Good tasty food, think charging extra for piri salt Is a bit of a joke. It is on the expensive side as a large wrap with chips is like £12. Service speed is adequate but staff here are often quite rude and not the most helpful. So if you like chicken and don't mind dealing with rude staff come here.

Fast delivery, good food, steak was a bit chewy though

The chips was mouldy and portion was small, it was awful I recommend no one tries it.

Generally well cooked food. Just wish they didn't skimp out on the amount of chicken they put in a double wrap. Basically the same amount they put in a single.

Ordered from this place tonight the food took over an hour and a half to arrive and the food was the worst takeout I’ve ever had raw chips and soggy burger when complained told I would receive a refund but wasn’t told I was suppose to send the food back to receive the refund and when I said I’m normally a loyal customer as on we order a couple of times a week I was told SO we have a lot of regular customers was very upset with the customer service received and will no longer use this place completely AVOID this place I’d give no stars if possible

The food took over an hour and a half to arrive the food was freezing cold the chips were raw and the burger was soggy when I phoned and complained I was told I would get a refund as I was a regular customer but what I wasn’t told was at 22:30 at night when we were starving we needed to send the food back to get the refund and I said look we order at least twice a week and don’t normally complain was told SO we have a lot of regular customers I am really unhappy and will not use this place again AVOID if you don’t want awful food and terrible customer service

I frequently order for delivery from Roosters. Orders consistently come through accurate, promptly, and are delicious to boot! Definitely a good choice if you are looking for a good, hearty and filling meal. The chips are amazing!!!

Order came completely wrong order a pitta and a wrap arrived ordered chicken wings and only two arrived and the olives that was supposed to come with sun-dried tomatoes and artichokes there was only olives and garlicspoke to the manager and she said there is nothing that she could do to help appalling customer service

Food was very bad. Mexican chicken burger was so hard, like chewing gum. Now charging for the chilli sauce and when we paid gave another chilli sauce not the signature sauce. Take our advice don't go here. Quality and service horrid now! Go to Shirley. Much better!

Great food and great service, one of the best per peri chicken restaurants in the areas, very freindly and informitave staff, amazing food and brilliant for value!

I had a good experience with this restaurant in the past. They had good food with good service and the staff have and always are friendly. Now every time i order either online or in person, the burgers have terrible presentation with buns smashed as if they have a personal issue with them. Beef strips are tough like leather and the sauce isn’t as hot as I remember . Im sad that they are bribing people for good reviews by offering free sides, instead of actually putting effort and improving the food quality. Pros: friendly staff, ok chicken and tasty piripiri fries. Cons: beef (avoid at all costs), sauces hotter than medium could be hotter, the chicken is sometimes dry when ordered online, presentation of burgers is horrendous and messy.

Used to frequent this roosters quite a lot so thought we’d come back. Initially when we walked in there were hairs on the table and you could see it hadn’t been wiped (not the best with coronavirus) Then we were served undercooked pink chicken wings. Won’t be coming back. We used to refer to this roosters as Southampton’s best however when we walked in the staff weren’t interested (chatting amongst themselves) so maybe this is why the food was undercooked and the tables were dirty.

As always the food was fabulous, although the chicken was not that hot but still OK. I can definitely recommend this restaurant as I eat there a lot.

Massively overpriced. Small portions for way too much money.when I picked up my takeaway, i assume the little box they gave me was just the meat and the rest was in the bag next to it. I was shocked when she told me my whole meal was in this tiny box. Was bang average in taste as well. 👎👎👎

AVOID THIS PLACE!!! THEY WILL DOUBLE CHARGE YOU AND NEVER REFUND THE MONEY I was double charged by roosters on 14th August by a very rude and snotty manager who insisted the first payment didnt go through. I then found later that day It had gone through twice and had taken nearly £40 out of my account. I contacted the restaurant who apologized and admitted it was their fault, the member of staff even said that manager was a bit rude that day as he'd had a bad day. They agreed to refund me but it would have to wait until the owner is back in store as only he can do it. They told me they would ensure he called back later that day to arrange a refund ..... he never did. Fast forward a few weeks and I have called them 4 times to get the exact same story every time. "We're so sorry that is our fault I can see we double charged you. We will get the owner to call you back to arrange a refund" ..... still no call back and no refund at all. I have raised a dispute form with Halifax and reported them for this. Terrible customer service and total rip off!!! AVOID THIS PLACE!!!
