Fabulous selection of food. All dishes are plentiful and very tasty .. it can be a struggle to finish some of these dishes, so beware. Service is excellent, our server helped with the menu, made recommendations, especially on the portion size, and tried to get us to fit in desert. Lots of great beers and drinks, pretty much spoiled for choice. The restaurant was very busy, it was a Sunday evening, so best to book in advance. Its very easy to get to, were stayed in a hotel round the corner as we were golfing, just a great end to the day when you need food and your tired. Great restaurant, we will be back…. Not just for the drumstick lollipop ..

What a wonderful final lunch of 2023! The burgers were epic. There is also a fantastic selection of no-alc and low-alc drinks. They have separate menus for veggie, vegan and gluten free, which feels a very progressive idea. The folks serving are just so kind and friendly. They were lovely to our slightly sandy golden retriever (we booked the dog friendly zone in advance). This restaurant has a great vibe and we couldn't praise it more. RedVentures review: Dog-friendly at lunchtimes, but they only have 2 or 3 dog-friendly tables so do phone to book ahead (you can't book dog friendly tables online). Also worth noting that the restaurant is upstairs, from an accessibility perspective. Staff so friendly and the menu is wide ranging and SO DELICIOUS. Best burger we have ever had, cooked rare at our request, and served with a little jug of beef dripping gravy. YUM YUM YUM. Onion rings and the Thai beef salad were divine. And the warm sourdough with the trio of butters was one of the nicest things I have ever had. We will definitely be back!!

I enjoy having a meal out but since the last time the family ate there the prices have inflated beyond what we feel is reasonable. For a family of 5 we were £240. Don't get me wrong the food was good but essentially the equivalent of burgers, chicken nuggets and a roast dinner doesn't justify the price point. The meals can be realistically replicated by local eateries at a fraction of the cost.

Been visiting Roo's leap for over 20 years with family and always enjoyed it. Service is always top notch and the atmosphere is usually really relaxed and friendly. I was visiting as a birthday treat with my wife to find a birthday card on the table from the team which is a lovely touch! The only down side was the flavouring. I started with the Burratta as it sounded interesting, it was nice but not as full on flavour as I had hoped but being mozzarella I suppose that can be expected. My wife ordered the cajun king prawns which again was nice but could use a little more cajun flavouring. Mains we both enjoyed our burgers, the fiery spaniard wasn't at all fiery but was tasty and the teriyaki chicken burger only had a small amount of teriyaki flavour to it, the salsa was the prominent feature. Still enjoyable just not quite as full in flavour as I remembered

Loved the meal, service was fab. In and out within an hour as everything was so quick! That includes 2 courses. For my main meal I had the fiery spaniard burger and it was INSANE. The crispy onions were a particular highlight and you can really tell the meat is cooked in a special oven... smokey! Rated 5 star for everything, the only thing I was sad about was that the website and reviews say it's dog friendly, but this only applies at lunch time. If you go for an evening meal you cannot take your furry companion. Just one to watch out for!!

We used to love roos leap but have found it to not be the same as it used to be. They had the most delicious nachos with pulled pork that we had ever tasted but now a hit or a miss and the nachos have been taken off the menu. I know everywhere has put their prices up but the prices have gone up considerably.. so much so that I don't really think it's worth it. If the food was consistently the same and decently priced we would definitely go more often but I don't think we would choose roos leap next time we were looking for somewhere to eat. Another thing we noticed was it wasn't as busy as usual. Sorry roos leap. We are disappointed.

Sourdough and Olives as a starter followed by Fillet, Bavette (not so well cooked) and Ribeye, all delicious and well seasoned but sadly not piping hot when served, plates were possibly cold too! Burgers x 3 were all very tasteless with a mushed coleslaw and greasy tasteless fries. Chillie dogs were just as disappointing. One of our party tried to order sparkling mineral water to be told there was none left. ??? What restaurant does not have sparkling mineral water. Everyone left huge quantities of their main dishes as unseasoned and very tasteless. Ice cream scoops faired a bit better. The servers warned us ahead of time that the Awesome Onion Blossom couldn't be served as advertised because there were no large enough onions available. We decided to go for it anyway, and the reward was well worth it. Piles of onion strands are hand dredged in a surprisingly spicy, peppery batter in a similar way to fish shop scraps. This truly awesome blossom is easily enough to share. In our case it made up our entire dinner, complete with a yummy side salad. As we explained our onion ring experiment at the till though we learned that this location of Roo's has unfortunately been sold and will soon close. Definitely a memorable onion experience.

Very unpleasant stay. It is understandable to treat the customer poorly since there are only two restaurants in the town and that the tourists would not return anyway. However, how little care was given to the customer as a house of hospitality. For every dish, our plates were taken away before we have finished. We were rushed to make decisions and to pay the seconds the plates were taken away. 5min after we paid the bill we were asked to leave and stay in the lobby. The food is reasonable and the restaurant would be well suited for ones who had a tight schedule and need to dash straight after the meal.
