Era la primera vez que veía un restaurante caribeño así que aproveché la oportunidad de comer allí. Personal muy amable y una amplia selección de comida y bebida. Opté por la cabra al curry y mi esposa tomó el pollo patán, un par de cervezas rojas Strpe. Comida encantadora y un montón de ella. Gran servicio amable y un gran ambiente. Sin duda puedo recomendar este lugar.

Kool Runnings was the most pleasant surprise for our American family who needed a change from fish & chips and Italian food. The food was cooked to order and so very good! Very extensive food and drink menu and everything we had was delicious. Service was friendly and welcoming.

After three late ‘sorry we’re closed’ attempts at fish and chips we lucked upon Kool Runnings. Glen’s the man- he was kind enough to sneak us in! After answering ‘whatever’s left?’ to the request of what are you having, Glen served us up a trio of nice dishes- jerk chicken, spicy goat, and monk fish. All were excellent, but the goat was the prize. Nice cocktails and rum as well. I’m not in Inverness often, but this is one of the most flavorful meals I’ve had in 4 years in the uk. I’ll be back :)

Descubrí este lugar en una excursión de un día a Inverness. Había tantos restaurantes interesantes para elegir en el centro de la ciudad, pero después de una lectura rápida del menú en la ventana, 'Curry Goat' me atrajo. Nunca lo tuve antes y siempre quise y ahora esta era mi oportunidad. No me decepcionó, estaba delicioso! Sirve con arroz tradicional y guisantes y ensalada de col. El personal era genial, la decoración era colorida, el ambiente era musical, y era simplemente muy bueno. Lo pasé genial. Mis mejores deseos. (PS. Los precios de la hora del almuerzo eran muy buenos también. El plato realmente generoso de cabra al curry era de unas 12 libras esterlinas. )

Great cocktails and delicious freshly cooked authentic food

Hands down the best food in Inverness. Stayed for 3 months and kept coming back to try as many dishes on the menu as I could. Every dish was delicious and made with care from the amazing chef

Comida tradicional jamaicana cocinada por encargo. Tuvimos pollo Jerk y Patties ambos excelentes. El personal es fabuloso, fue genial escuchar un acento jamaiquino después de nuestro reciente viaje a Jamaica. Borrador de raya roja excelente. El menú de cócteles se veía increíble, pero eso es para la próxima vez.

I can not think of a better place to get food in Inverness, if you're veggie/vegan the options available to you are amazing. I went with a small group of friends and we all ordered something different, we ate here on a Thursday night, and were still thinking about the food we had on Sunday as we drove home. A brilliant cocktail list, with plenty of rum as expected. The service was relaxed but made me feel very welcome and the general atmosphere of the restaurant was perfect. I would recommend anyone looking for somewhere to eat in Inverness find this place and give it a try, especially if you want Jamaican food made as well as I've ever had.

10/10 food best iv had in a while the chicken is spot on never mind the cocktails 100% worth the price

Great genuine Caribbean venue, about as real as sitting under an umbrella in Grenada. Recommend the Goat curry and the Jerk chicken. Realistic prices and genuine service

The food arrived slightly late, however I called the shop as worried due to staying in a holiday home. I spoke to a lovely man who apologised and assured me it won’t be long. When it arrived it was lovely. I would definitely order again

Was so happy to find this hidden gem in Inverness! The food was absolutely delicious. Being of Caribbean descent and having grown up eating this type of food, I am quite particular about the Caribbean food I eat out, but this certainly did not disappoint, loved the curry goat and chicken wings. Definitely worth a visit!

I only had the pork belly with sweet potato starter and side of corn on the cob but it was plentiful as a main for me, while my boyfriend opted for the curry goat and side of jerk chicken. Both thoroughly enjoyed it and definitely will go back next time visit inverness 👍🏼😊 Lovely Jamaican food, with nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

The chicken was great, tinder and flavorful, but it would have been better if the fries hadn’t been burned. The vibe was quite dark and thrilling. The tables were sticky. I was the only customer at that time!.

Dreadful. Nothing tasty. Was obviously no chef on as everything was vile. Never again!!!!!! Curried goat was more like stewed bones.

I ordered 2 large mac n cheese and one was smaller than the other and the pasta was too hard and the cheese sauce was a packet sauce. Really disappointing. However the coleslaw and sweet potato was really nice. Only one portion of chips and salad considering I ordered two portions of mac n cheese

Bueno, dicen que hay una primera vez para todo, y esta fue nuestra primera comida jamaiquina. Mi esposa tenía pollo y yo cabra al curry. Ambas comidas eran excelentes, caliente y abundante. Nuestro servidor estaba muy bien informado y nos ayudó a tomar una decisión de qué comer. También era muy amable y un chico feliz.

It's amazing that there is a Caribbean restaurant in Inverness where you can enjoy plantain, salt fish & ackee, and goat curry. The food and cocktails are really good! Sometimes Kool Runnings looks a bit empty in the evenings, but it certainly doesn't deserve to be - so don't let this put you off.

THE best place in Inverness for cocktails and food, absolutely love it. It’s a staple for me and my partner. Totally recommend to everyone in the immediate area. Piña colada’s and jerk chicken are top top top tier

As a tourist spending 1 month in the UK, you need a break from pub food. Kool Runnings was a delicious alternative with a fun selection of Rum and Island cocktails.

Had lunch here while visiting Inverness. Great traditional Jamaican food with huge portions and decent prices. Definitely recommended if you're in the Inverness area.

He visitado 2 restaurantes caribeños, uno en Londres y otro en Guildford, y este restaurante está allí con ellos.

Delicious Caribbean restaurant with a chilled atmosphere. The chef came to chat with us and is an absolute riot, hilarious. Also one of the only places besides kebab shops which serves food past 8pm. Would thoroughly recommend!

La cabra estaba tierna y el pollo muy bien cocinado - si tengo una crítica sería que esperaba un poco más de calor y especias. The restaurant has an extensive selection of dishes and very tasty food. The waitress was very personable and committed to ensuring that the orders were implemented quickly. If you're visiting Inverness, it's worth a look there, even if it's not directly on the river.

Excellent food like in Jamaica. There is also Reagge. Even though it's cold here, it warms your heart ❤️.

I know soul food isn't the first thing that comes to mind you think "Highland Capital" but wow nice place lovely laid back atmosphere staff make you feel like you're at a second home and greet you nicely by the door I had the jerk chicken...WOW the flavour. Explosion in the mouth and so juicy, plenty of eating in it and nice presentation. Also if you like a drink you're not short for choice , lots of rum mixes as well as house favourites.

What a beautiful find in a great city like Inverness! Only good things to say about the service - really relaxed, attentive and thoughtful. The food was brilliant too! We did try the Jerk Haggis out of interest which I (personally) wasn't sold on but my partner loved it! It's definitely something worth trying though considering the price of your meal is so competitive. Cheers team, all the best

It might have been due to the lateness but atmosphere felt very unwelcoming, I’d much rather to have been told not to come in at all. We were sat waiting to order for a while, then ordered at the bar. Cocktails were generous but took over 30 minutes to arrive. Food also took along time but was good sized portions and nice.

Cracking wee place. Popped in for a lunch on Saturday, hardly anyone in, but the food is spot on, good portion sizes for a really good price. Drinks were really good, nice cocktail menu. Will definitely make this my regular spot when we are in Inverness.

Veggie & vegan family turned up expecting a feast! And boy did we get one! Kids enjoyed corn on the cob and rice and beans whilst grown ups had spicy patties and curry. Loved the random 80s music but Caribbean music would have been nice!

Stumbled upon this gem on a stopover in Inverness. Wasn’t sure what to expect when we walked in but this turned out to be one of those surprises that surpassed all expectations! Great goat curry. Ordered a fried Mars bar for dessert and was presented with a stunning plate of food. Atmosphere was ace. Highly recommend!

A warm welcome on a damp night. The Jerk Chicken was tender and fell off the bone. The spices were wonderfully balanced. The Goat Curry was rich and tasty. Great choice of drinks, beer wine and cocktails. Highly recommended.

One of the worst burgers I’ve ever had, the bun was toasted so much that it was burnt black! The piece of bacon was so overcooked it was complete inedible. The packaging was not suitable for the type of food, all the sauce in both items leaked everywhere. Overall a disappointing experience.

Went in here and the food was nice, albeit quite a strange combination of Jamaican and Scottish food. It was lunchtime I visited and the place was absolutely dead, so has to rank low on the atmosphere score unfortunately

just amazing! the portions are huge, the chicken in my meal was the freshest and softest i've ever had in a restaurant and the service was so sweet, the owner went to the store to get a mars bar just for me, because i wanted to try that and he wouldnt admit he doesnt have it. 10/10 experience

I eat curry goat all the time and this was more like a vegetarian curry there was 2 bits of meat in it the rice was cold don't be fooled by the presentation I was the only one in there and he took 30 minutes pretty sure I heard the microwave ping a couple of time and for 20 quid save your money
