Great place to shop lots of different stores Shame that M&S has closed the Polish shop opposite Lush sells great ham (Grandad) Spoke with the Scottish Power Rep Jess in Regent Street at a temporary open office regarding a problem with my Scottish Power App and she gave me some really good advice to sort the problem let's hope it works many thanks Jess.

It is a ghost 👻 town that has horrendous prices for parking. No point to visit.

The Brunel shopping centre is trying hard but not doing anything particularly well. The whole area loosely referred to as the 'town centre' has been overtaken by events and is currently not a good advert for Swindon. It's lost many of the major stores and now feels very outdated.

The punk shop is great, but the other shops feel like they're going out of business.

What's the point of this town centre unless you want a coffee or buy second hand goods from charity shops

Terrible place, shops closed and full of vagrants.

Popped in for a look nicely laid out and pretty clean, worth a look.

It is very sad to see this place being more and more neglected along the past 17 years! I believe there are more closed shops than fully working ones! I try my best to avoid going to that depressing town centre currently full of thugs covered up on black hoodies on broad light riding that stealth bikes.

Its a place to eat. So if you wanna eat have fun. If you wanna shop. Good luck. Its clear the investment went towards restaurants NOT retail. Smaller shops are all gone. Rent is so high no shops wants to enter a rental agreement for a 6 month period. The design is dated and makes me feel like im in the 90s. Theres a sign on the car park entrance to the centre literally saying more shops round the corner. Brunel need to re-plan and resource manage better for more variety of stores. I would love to see a model shop but none exsist other than warhammer. Warhammer isnt everyone's thing, more power to you if you enjoy it though. Please invest in something other than big brands or food places.

Rubbish, Swindon Council has a lot to answer too! What is there plan to attract people back to the town!!!!!!!!

I went to visit a close friend in Swindon and she took me to Brunel Shopping centre. There's an arcade in the shopping centre. Once you pay a gate fee, you have access to play all the games. The kids loved the arcade, the food court was good. I treated myself to Herbs and Health store by having acupuncture and body massage worth while. The food was yummy and great portions too.

A lit of units closing down, so a bit of a disappointment.

Horrid most shops empty like walking through a ghost town only go if very desprate.

Sadly swindon town center is run down and not many shops now apart from phone repair or vape shops

Lots of shops and a large food court. Outside there is plenty of parking, £2.00 for 5 hours and the first 30 min is free. Pleasant atmosphere with most shops having sales and there's a children's play area too.

Nothing there on the ground floor anymore. Shocking.

There aren't many shops to choose from down there.

It's not bad I mean most things you need but probably around 4or5 Greggs which is overkill to be honest.

Shopping centre is always clean and tidy, great place for shopping. Love visiting Swindon.

Not much in here to be shouting about. Sainsbury and M&S have gone. Holland and Barrett has moved out. Down stairs is almost ghostly, like the the rest of town. Not really worth a trip

Pretty empty nothing much there but there are toilets and a few places to eat so it's OK I guess

It is a great place full of life where to find shops, train station and restaurants. Just in the town centre with car park by the high street which It is very convenient as lots of services and transport is just there

A very rundown building with 90% of units empty.

There isn't many shops left in here anymore

The centre is in desperate need of some decent stores, they need to do something to bring customers back and fill those empty units, the old House of Fraser store is 3/4 (one floor was offices and delivery area plus staff canteen) floors of currently empty space ripe to allow either one or multiple companies into. It could become an excellent indoor market with a different theme per floor allowing multiple local sole traders to get somewhere to sell their goods, if the Brunel did it right they could reopen the space as a true department store with multiple small companies selling their wares. It's too big a store fore a single shop to take over the space as proven with Debenhams done the road which has also closed down.

Sadly, a shadow of its former self. More empty shops than occupied ones. On the plus side, plenty of good places to eat, an easily accessible car park and very clean toilets.

Great place for outlet prices with a variety of brands available.

Always tidy and lovely to visit, disappointing that it's lost a lot of shops over the years to the point where I personally have no reason to visit, this shopping center would benefit from an indoor market or small business market to bring in more footfall. The new foodhall is a lovely addition and a great place to hang out.

Always love coming here on days out the pasta place is great love the food there. And it's all made in front of you.

When we first arrived, we were a little concerned as it looked so rough. As we ventured, we were pleasantly surprised. Lots of great stores with great bargains. My son was really happy with "Foot Asylum " whilst my granddaughter loved the "New Look" discount store. There was something for everyone.

Goodness, disabled parking is tricky and hardly easy to find. Many of the shops were closed, and many units looked unoccupied for a long time. The one redeeming feature was the pizza and pasta place in the food court. A huge menu and all freshly prepared. It was great!

If this place is the "Heart of Swindon shopping", I can only think it's far to late for CPR. Best call the undertakers now. It's dead.

Used to be full of shops, now it's quite dreadful. Certainly won't have to pay for much parking as there's no real magnet of a big shop to visit.

Lots to do there apart from just shopping.

One entire side of the complex has been vacated of shops, leaving empty units. This area is being turned into flats which is fine, except that you have to walk through this derelict area from the car park to get to the main area. Still quite a few good shops in this main part of the centre.

Only gave the Brunel Shopping Centre 4 stars as some of the retail outlets are empty and it starting to make the centre look run down

What has happened to the brunel centre one end was totally closed down just me wondering where the shops have gone and a security guard walking around to guard it 😲

This place used to be great. Admittedly I haven't been to Swindon Town for over 3 years, but it's dead. So many more closed shops than those which are are open, led to a very depressing shopping experience

Too many empty shops now probably due to the sky high rents that property owners have been charging for too long. About time they got there just cumuppance

Popped in after a gap of around 2 years and what a shock. The entire ground floor around the escalator is empty, devoid of any shops. First floor not much better, there's a few shops remaining, among them Boots, who I believe are moving anyway. Having seen it in its heyday it came as a complete shock. What a sad, soulless place it is now.

The Brunel, like the rest of the Swindon town centre, is full ao closed shops and lack of customers.

The Brunel Centre in Swindon is a shopping centre named after Isambard Kingdom Brunel. It offers shops, restaurants, and services in the town center.

Shops are okay but having one half empty is not good, it's clear that the owners of Brunel do not care and want to price out shops so they can build something like flats there instead.

You will get all that you need there.

Absolute dump of a place. Most shops are closed.

Visited for Boots and especially the M&S store to use vouchers, which is now shut down. Boots was still good. Expensive to park especially if your main goal (M&S) was to visit a store that has shut down. Had to drive to the M&S at Orbital Park which is now well stocked. I felt the shopping centre has lost a lot of good shops and is now rather mediocre. Would advise you check the store you are visiting is still there and open!
