It’s so nice to be greeted with a smile and friendly face, remembered my drink from last visit! Fantastic barmaid and so friendly! I will be bringing family and friends here again! The barmaid was on her own, remembering every customers drink and greeted everyone with such friendliness! Every pub should have bar staff like this young lady… from overhearing “hellos” her name is Na? Honestly great customer service and so nice to see such a friendly, passionate bar staff! Will be back. Thank you

I know that craft union pubs seem to divide opinion, but I generally am a fan of the chain. The King and Queen was one of my favourites. It has the added attraction of being the oldest pub in Highworth. It is a really big pub with lots of separate drinking areas, it was quite quiet on our visit and so it lacked a bit of atmosphere, I bet it is lively when it is packed!! I thought it was a bit expensive for a craft union pub, but prices are creeping up everywhere, even amongst the budget chains. Worth a visit, especially if you like a bit of history with your pint

Terrible pub. I couldn't even rate it. It has gone such down hill since new landlord started. Turned into a drug pub. Rude staff. And never feel welcome. Being barred for a reason which was not my fault. Choosing favourites as that's where you get your gear from. Pathetic in my eyes. All I can say is ashamed on how it's turned out to be. I will never step back in the pub again

Some mates and I went here the Thursday bank holiday for the Platinum jubilee. The pub was decked out to celebrate and there was a great atmosphere. The beer was great and well priced - and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be going again!

When locals are treated like garbage I can't recommend this pub, refused service after a single drink when regular troublemakers are welcomed with open arms.Gone downhill and absolutely disgraceful establishment

This pub has a lot of potential being in a great location and by virtue of its size. However, my partner and I ventured in last night at 2145 and were turned away by the manager (Covid). I've encountered him before and he really does need a smile implant! He looks like he's in the wrong job ! Why scowl at your customers? The other thing is, it would be great if this pub did food as its got a great interior. Also, when watching footie, why are customers allowed to use foul language? I mean the ' C' word? Seriously!This place could be amazing with just a few minor adjustments.

Came here with my wife and daughter and her partner and had a pleasant visit with good atmosphere and reasonable priced drinks. It’s pleasantly decorated and the staff were very helpful.

very bad the land lady shouting and got in my daughters face who is 9 years old because he daughter kept asking us for money and being nasty so they barred everyone for it they allow e smoking in there they have drugs in there they let people get so paraletic they can’t walk she should not be in there she got no customer service standards they even leave there 9 year old down stairs and unattended which can be dangerous she has barred a few locals who have tried to help people are so drunk home and she just kicks off they are going to get reported to the enterprise brewery

Smart, clean areas. Great beer at great prices, quality house wine at very good prices only thing that lets it down they don’t do food!!

Early afternoon drink, great choice of ales. Loved the Yorkshire pint wife loved choice of gins. Great decor

Went on 31st October so was decked out for Halloween stayed for a drink before heading off, barman did supply a number for a local taxi firm for us.

This is the worst pub in Highworth. It feels and looks dirty and has a strange odour. The staff were not welcoming but rather rude. I had wine and it was disgusting even the smell was gross. Needless to say we didn't finish our drinks and left. The toilets are dirty and stink to the point I wouldn't use them. Clear drug use in the pub that is ignored by the staff and management. The use of foul language is unbelievable. I will never be going there again.

This pub now has no distinct management as the manager has changed in the last few weeks to a guy who really needs a laughter implant Conversation is none The staff language is really bad with kids in myths bar and if you are not local meaning in day after day you do not get served If the job centre reads these reviews go in at lunch time do an audit and get my tax back from the recurring locals who just want to drink look into space on very cheap larger Welcome to a Weatherspoons under a different landlord .What a waste of a great public house

I visited the King and Queen in Highworth with friends who live locally. I have been here many times in the past. The pub has been taken over recently and no longer sell food. We were pleased with the new decor and prices however the landlady and landlord leave a lot to be desired.Both rude and unwelcoming, it appears that they had been drinking and we as a group felt really uncomfortable. Hopefully they won't be around for too much longer and the pub becomes a fun spot to visit again soon.

Stopped here for a roast on sunday food was amazing and great price would highly recommend staff really friendly too and nothing too much trouble will definitely be back when in the area

Called in during our visit to The Cheltenham Festival. A warm welcome and very reasonably priced drinks added to the visit!

Heard very good comments from locals so gave it a go. A real roast dinner with fresh ingredients, not frozen. Looked good and tasted great. Top marks. Best roast I have had out in a few years. Definitely recommend. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed. Other local eateries take note!

I feel they serve people who shouldn’t be served. EG. People who have had too much to drink, they keep serving? Caused an issue tonight when a girl was absolutely inebriated and allowed her friend to keep buying her drinks even though the “friend” was also way too drunk and then an issue which could have easily been avoided happened because of this! Would keep an eye out if I were you! Just for certain people behind the bar by the way and who ever the people are going in and out the bar.

Called in for a drink as we were staying at a near by hotel.nice warm pub with friendly staff.shame that all the beers sold were arrkells,would like to have had a nice pint of bidding tons lol.

New staff which are lovely. They make a great "Raymond Chandler" gimlet cocktail! Always good food and friendly service, would recommend this place to anyone. Keep up the good work, we will be back.

Just been decorated nicely new landlord /landlady served by "nan" food was lovely staff excellent no problem recommending this place looking forward to visiting in the evening!!

Had a great night for its reopening - brill new Landlords and a fabulous band. Great atmosphere and a fantastic end to a saturday night

Great pub, with a great real ale selection. Always a good atmosphere and warm with the fire going...

Very old fashion pub, there is a lovely area to sit down and eat, also real log fires which gives it a cosy warm feel. The service was very good and the food was plenty and well presented. I think it would have been nice to have warm plates.

Passing through on a Sunday afternoon and looking for lunch. Tried one place that was packed and had various tables reserved so moved on. Looked in here to see this was quiet but on the promise of the advertised home cooked food were tempted in. The staff were very helpful and friendly adjusting the trimmings to suit intolerances. The breaded mushrooms starter was a good portion with a very nice and varied mix as the side salad (this seems to be a step too far for a lot of places , especially at this time of year). The beef and pork came with 3 good and tasty slices. The roasties were nice and crisp with fluffy centres (including a parsnip). The yorkshire was also nice and crisp. A bowl with 4 veg and a big gravy jug between us completed the ensemble. All the food was served piping hot but defeated us in that we ended up leaving a few potatoes and taking a doggy bag of meat away (we are not huge eaters). If we are passing again we would certainly come back.

Great family pub with a lovely range of good food. Friendly staff. Discos on Fridays. Meat draw Sundays. It's the type of pub you can have a giggle with friends. Or you can feel as comfortable going in on your own. Beautiful plants and garden area . Very spacious and clean. I would highly recommend this restaurant/pub. I've lived here all my life and since the new landlord and management have taken over its a nice place to go.

Today we called in just for a drink but the landlord suggested we try the fish pie, what a treat to taste real real food it was outstanding if your that way, do try it. The best ever.

The food is terrible,the landlord is rude and obnoxious and the food is cheap and nasty I would not recommend this place to anyone it is a dirty hovel
