Staff are very friendly and the place has a good atmosphere compared to most of the other shops on gosford street. Definitely worth stopping off for breakfast or lunch. Prices are very reasonable for the great quality of food! They also sell spuds for a great price and lovely homemade cakes!

Absolutely brilliant gem of a place! Staff are on point, there is seating, food is delicious and atmosphere is just generally adorable. Next time I am in Coventry I'll be back for sure.

Pork an stuffing batch was disgusting it wasn't even pork an the gravey tasted like a salty mess no crackling an no stuffing please don't buy one

Though they’re doing fresh and warm but just Had a frozen jacket potato Warmed up in microwave top was super hot with frozen bottom & Got poisoned 🤢 It’s shame.

Pork and stuffing baguette is absolutely amazing. The pork literally melts in your mouth and the stuffing is so soft and creamy. Staff are super friendly 100% would recommend

The lady was very polite and gave me two jacket potatos instead of one, said she was out of the big ones. What a great deal!! They were made exactly like I prefer. Left with a big smile and full tummy. They could do a bit better with the atmosphere but you can give em a pass on that the owners are really aged. Hidden gem, a must try.

Nah absolutely broken. Took my dad to get a saus and bacon batch for his birthday, he was buzzing for it. Got up at 5am dressed, shoes on the lot. Got down there just before opening, in anticipation for a hearty meal. but what was ment to be a happy outing quickly turned into a nightmare.. my dad ordered double sausage and bacon but was met with a barrage of abuse. The owner was saying he could only have a pork and stuffing baguette. My dad not one to be mugged off but also limited to what he can do due being wheelchair dependent. Tried to kick off which resulted in the owner’s missus throwing a microwave at us, shouting obscenities. All I could do is watch as she continued to rain blows down on my disabled dad. Hes since passed away, without full-filling his dream of receiving a stat vest from a Coventry city player. Rip

I was working across the road and saw a sign for Pork & Stuffing Rolls, glad I stopped in, absolutely amazing, perfectly cooked pork, soaked in gravy and in a decent size, good quality roll. 10/10

Best burgers in cov by a long way if you want fancy then pay for fancy! I'd rather have food that tastes excellent than a nice shop front that sells rubbish food. this is by far the best I've had and I love takeaways if Rogers burgers were my last meal I'd die with a smile

…of people. Always go here every time I’m working in the area and I always get a 5 star treatment. Best cafe on Far Gosford street, all the others can bugger off. I’ll always recommend the monster deal (or as I call it, the labourers breakfast). Service with a smile and always get a “thanks for coming” The BLTs ain’t too bad either.. Will say, could provide different chocolate bars… Nobody likes a bounty anymore

A typical greasy spoon type place with a decent burgers and pork (and other) sandwiches, the Lady that served me was very polite. It's a pity they don't have chips on the menu and their drinks selection is somewhat limited.

If you are looking for an old fashioned sandwich shop that gives you exactly what you ask for go here ! Best breakfast roll I have had in years and the wife had a hot pork sandwich that took her back to her youth... Well worth the 45 minute drive !

Well all I'm going to say is I don't like cheap sausages and this had less than cheap did not enjoy it...... I should of known by the state of the place looks dirty but I took on board the 4stars it had gave it a chance and never ever again..... Ever..............................

Brilliant value, lovely people Roger and Sharon. My favourite greasy spoon. I can recommend the bacon, egg and cheese toasted sandwich with brown sauce and mayo. Don't knock it till you've tried it! 😉

Delicious standard breakfast place. Perfect for a hangover and friendly welcoming staff - you only have to go there once and they all remember you.. The breakfast burger is my personal fave but you can’t really go wrong with anything on the menu to be honest.

Most of the takeaways in Far Gosford Street are halal so if you're after a bacon roll this is pretty much the only place that serves them. They don't disappoint either - nice friendly takeaway with really decent batches at reasonable prices. The breakfast batch is my particular favourite - no egg more bacon please!

Very small place, not the most tidy with ripped chairs but they serve decent food at cheap prices, most are greasy foods like bacon sausage etc and you can get a delicious pork and stuffing batch with gravy and apple sauce and crackling too at a cheap price. They do some healthy sandwich choices too with cold meats and cheeses with salad. Overall it's an ok place with ok food but definitely needs a revamp.

This is a nice little take away shop run by a friendly couple. The food there are really nice. And it's such a good deal. I spent £2.20 for a full English breakfast burger there and it tasted fantastic. Unbelievable. Such a great place for lunch break.

Always fresh and tasty food. Plenty of choice and variety from breakfast items to chicken, ham, cheese sandwiches. Jacket potatoes with a wide range of fillings. The house special is a pork and stuffing batch with all the trimmings and is not to be missed.

Went here for the first time today. Had the pork and stuffing baguette. Tasted sublime. The rest of the menu looked tempting too. Staff were very friendly and made you feel welcome. The place has a very homely feel. I recommend grabbing napkins though. After taking my lunch to the station, the end result was me sitting cheerfully on a bench covered in a fine coat of gravy and apple sauce like a poorly raised toddler while bystanders kept a safe distance from the soggy-handed man. Will definitely be heading back to Pig In The Middle soon.

Best in its class for break fast which is cheap and freshly prepared. good service and recommend for people who prefer English breakfast takeaways. Breakfast Burger is what i prefer as my favorite.

With the high standards of choice & value for money it makes you wonder why other places charge so much for much less. Nothing to fault & well worth a special trip, as I find it difficult to get to at times. If you only try one thing from there, make it their pork batch with all the trimmings & you'll see what people rave about. Can't praise it enough, so see for yourself!

Pro: I have no problems with the methods nor staff, its all generally good food its just lacking some simple things that they seem to refuse to offer. Cons: a crusty roll is something "exotic" that no one seems to have asked them for for the last 30 years as the half dozen occasions Ive asked over the last 5 (the latest being a fortnight ago) is greeted with a bemused look from which ever staff member I ask. Their thinking seems to be "Soft white rolls are cheap. The food is cheap ergo the rolls must be cheap" ^ not good enough, as a person I have a hatred for soft white rolls, they cost 3p to make and they degrade to mulch in minutes should you have anything vaguely liquid in your batch. Happy to pay extra for a crusty roll or french stick but obviously this is quite impossible given the heights of technology the owner seems to think would be required to offer such items. If you want bog standard with a menu set in granite that never changes nor ever will change, pig in the middles the one for you, If you want a crusty roll... bad luck.

We come here most lunchtimes (mostly for the chicken tikka baguette and excellent value cheese & egg burger) and enjoy a regular Friday morning treat of breakfast batches, baguettes and sarnies! Roger and the ladies are always friendly and enjoy a good banter. Great place for honest food.

Tasty food for a cheap price (especially pork bageuttes and sandwiches)....good service and friendly staff...taking a parcel is a better option since they have a small sitting area inside

love pig in the middle!As i work opposite i eat here alot. Range of choice at good prices! All staff are friendly and happy to help, always a quick service. From sausage sandwiches to burgers, jacket potatoes, curry and there gorgeous pork and stuffing batches its one of the best places to eat on gosford as it is proper food!

Stopped by at lunchtime on my way down Gosford Street into town. Ordered what I always order here. Pork & Stuffing batch with crackling & apple sauce. It is messy to eat but well worth it. Always leave the place feeling satisfied and with a smile on my face. Recommended. P.S. Apparently, they sell other food too but I've never tried it! Always stick to what I know, the old favourite.
