Best Indian takeaway in Cheltenham! It is our go to for a treat night. Their king prawns are delicious and always get the spice just right.

We ordered through deliveroo and then I came onto Google to see the reviews and was worried about what would come. We were pleasantly surprised. Someone from the restaurant called to apologise there would be a delay due to traffic. He then called to let me know the food was on its way. The food was about 10/15 mins late and was still piping hot! The chicken korma was delicious and the chicken biryani and the lentils that came with it were also very good. The peshwari was also very good. Would definitely recommend and order again if back in Cheltenham.

Really very poor food. We hadn’t eaten here for three years as it was so bad last time. Just tried it again and just as bad. Lamb biryani as dry as the sahara. Just unbelievably poor quality. Will never ever use again,

Ordered for delivery. The korma was delicious and the jalfrezi was tasty. Our starters and mains arrived hot and the portion size was good. This is the best curry we’ve found in Cheltenham so far and we will be ordering again!

My partner and I had takeaway from Rogan Josh for the first time this evening, and we’re both so impressed. Great range of vegan options too which is a big bonus. Will definitely order again.

If you want an authentic tasting curry, Rogan Josh is the place to come to. I’ve only tried the lamb curries here but they do not disappoint and the portion size of generous.

Looking at the great reviews I ordered the food from here , unfortunately the food is not great at all , the chicken biriyani is a joke - no spices, no flavour just few bell peppers abd peas with pieces of chicken. The chappatis are rubbery. Unfortunately not a good experience

Worst takeaway we never got to eat! Ordered a very much anticipated curry that was accepted online and was the last £25 I had in my account as a very special last pre pay day treat for my self and my husband, then got a call to say they were closed, we were 2/3,minutes too late,,and now we have to wait until next week to get our money back.. worst customer service ever

Ordered a takeaway, curry was really nice but the delivery driver rocked up in an overly undone Hawaiian shirt with no undershirt underneath, was creepy towards women and made my partner feel uncomfortable.

Previously the delivery has been awful but the food has been good. So tonight I ordered at 6:25 ( I have kids) to enable us all to eat at a sensible time. 8:10 I call them as still no food - "Oh we'll send it to the kitchen now" - how long - 20mins or so.. Forget it "oh we can offer you discount.." no chance - driving to the local takeaway now as I can't even be bothered to deal with these people anymore. I'm a loyal customer but please do yourself a favour and or elsewhere or order on Tuesday if you wan to eat on Saturday..

We were recommended this restaurant by my mother, who lives in Cheltenham. The website states that it delivers to up to 6.5 miles away. We live 6.1 miles away. We put in our postcode, which was accepted, placed our order, which was accepted, and paid which was also accepted. Then we received a phone call from the restaurant saying they do not deliver to our area (Brockworth) even though it is well within their delivery limit. My mother lives in a retirement complex and she wanted me to register her and some of her neighbours online to use this restaurant. I will now no longer be doing this for this particular restaurant

UBEREATS delivery preordered and paid at 4pm for 6.30-7pm delivery this evening. Told at 7pm takeaway too busy to fulfil order money will be refunded. Rang restaurant who said yes we’re too busy. Rubbish absolutely rubbish

I have used this restaurant many times and the food is wonderful. However, on the last two occasions of ordering online through their own website, I have not received my order. I received a confirmation email that my order was accepted and another saying it would be 1hour 15mins for delivery. Longer waiting times are acceptable for a Saturday night. After 1hour 45mins, I called, to be told they had lost my order and that they have to manually type it into their system and they’d missed it. That’s twice now. If you want to order anything, I suggest you call, do not rely on their website as it does not work!!!!

It's the best Indian Takeaway in Cheltenham. No red sweet curries here, just what Indian food should taste like. Highly recommended.

Had my first Indian meal last night (not a fan of spicy food) Ordered a takeaway and it was delivered on time. Food piping hot and smelt wonderful. Loved the kurma (korma), masala, rice and naan breads. Just what we needed after a busy day of decorating. Will definitely be ordering again soon. Thanks guys. 👍

Maybe for too long we took the “Take Away” for granted? It filled a gap of laziness, or quick dinner when working late perhaps? COVID19 presented new choices for eating and removed so many first preference votes in a very restricted culinary world. Rogan Josh became a very important part of our weekly dining experience and we had never used their services before. Of necessity I’m sure, there were a few weeks of limited menu choice but through it all they beavered away cooking delicious, authentic and perfectly balanced dishes. I’m hoping for another delivery of my favourite King Prawn Dansak tonight. Cannot thank you guys enough for the wonderful food and brilliant service, you made our weekly Indian meal something special to look forward to during some very socially deprived months. Thank you. This is the second time we have ordered a takeaway from Rogan Josh (the first time was on the 5th June 2020). On both occasions the food has been excellent. We ordered, chicken passander, vegetable korma, chicken vindaloo, chicken madras, with naan bread and rice (very similar order the first time!) All very good Thank you.

1st time trying Rohan Josh. Food was excellent but thought the portions just a tad small. Order was spot on and arrived in about an hour which considering the Covid situation is quite good. Food was luke warm but I can live with that as easy to heat up. Delivery charge is somewhat confusing considering my location to Winchcombe St. Worth a try as the food was very good.

Placed an order for delivery & it (kind of) arrived in time. Slight mix up with delivery address, unsure of how the issue occurred (me or the shop). The shop made a point of calling me as soon as the delivery driver made them aware of the situation, the gentleman who called couldn’t have been more apologetic & refunded 50% of my order. Food was absolutely delicious & warm enough to eat. Definitely the best Indian in Cheltenham who clearly care about their customers

La comida entregada el domingo por la noche no era nada buena. El especial de la casa era simplemente "cosas" de pollo marrón abultado y aburrido y no podía decir qué tenía de especial. Kormas (Kurma) eran de un color marrón ligeramente más claro. NINGUNO parecía apetitoso, todo era blando, marrón y grumoso. . Lamenté gastar el dinero en ello, que es tan malo como parece. Hay muchos otros restaurantes en Cheltenham para probar, así que no volveré a pedir desde aquí. ¡No tengo idea de cómo ganaron un premio el año pasado!

Pedí una comida para llevar del menú de bloqueo. A pesar de las advertencias de retrasos en el sitio web, la comida llegó rápidamente después de una llamada del conductor para confirmar nuestra dirección. Excelentes bhajis de cebolla, ligeros, crujientes y esponjosos, y nada peor para el viaje. Cordero derretido en la boca, naan suave y sabroso y un bhuna de pollo para morirse. Ninguno de nosotros se sintió decepcionado en absoluto por el menú reducido. ¡La única crítica que puedo dar es que recibimos demasiada salsa de menta!

Decidí pedir comida para llevar desde aquí ya que nuestro indio más local estaba cerrado debido al coronavirus.Tuvimos que esperar más de una hora para que llegara y se retrasó unos 10 minutos. Mientras lo repartíamos, nos dimos cuenta de que faltaba uno de los artículos y que uno de los recipientes de salsa se había derramado por todo el fondo de la bolsa. Los poppadums que obtuvimos también estaban un poco aplastados.La comida no fue especialmente memorable, pero como estamos en medio de una crisis de salud, puedo simpatizar un poco. Ojalá hubiera sido mejor.

Great food and good delivery as always. There are some recent poor reviews but our experience was very good and the food tasted great. It was very fresh even though we ordered at a busy time. We would definitely recommend Rogan Josh and will be ordering from here again.

They do my favourite combo (chicken passanda with peshwari naan) so well. Every time I order its been quick delivery, and I always end up eating way too much because its too good! Great portion sizes and everything is fresh

Very disappointed!! King prawn madras was a container full of slop and no taste at all-no taste heat and had to warm it up and chicken tikka jalfrezi was also tasteless!! Seen all the ads for winning best takeaway so thought we’d try - won’t be trying again that’s for sure !!

Simplemente no te mejores. El servicio tanto por teléfono como por entrega es excelente. El personal parece haber sido elegido por su naturaleza madura y cautelosa y sus tiempos de entrega rápidos.

The Food was absolutely amazing! Rogan Josh never fails to please me and my family. I would definitely recommend this takeaway to anyone who loves Indian food as much as me . Simply the best!

Ordered a house special for takeaway following claims that this is the 'takeaway of the year'. I don't think so. Flavourless curry and defintely one of my worst curry takeaways.

Girlfriend and I where greeted with smiles in this very well kept place in middle of Cheltenham town. Ordered a mixture of meat chicken and vegetable dishes with rice and soft bread. they sent the wrong food and took along time to do so! i thought it was ment to be a good place to eat from but have realised it was a lie.

Disappointing. We had been meaning to try Rogan Josh for a while having seen their flyers proclaiming awards received for their takeaways, so what we received came as a shocking disappointment. The food was not what we have come to expect, or even accept, as ‘Indian’, overall everything was just so very sweet. Yes there were some spices in there but the sweetness just overwhelmed the dishes. Breads were tough and the so called raita was something else, really strange. Maybe it was an ‘off night’, but for the money charged there really should not be any off nights.

Needs a sixth star really - delicious, consistently great quality curries. The care and attention to detail Rogan Josh put into providing such a good service is quite evident and you can understand why they win so many awards - they are fully deserved. As well as the the all important culinary skills of their team of chefs, the lovely behind the counter staff are friendly and welcoming and soon remember what dishes you love best!

Went to my friends for a birthday meal, my friends mum Lisa is crazy about the food there so made us try it. we had various different curries some of never tried or even heard of but was really nice. I was never into curry before but am now. Top food! Thanks Lisa for getting me to try it, will def have it again. Birthday treat next year lise?

The best Indian takeaway ever! Have been eating food from here for years now and won’t order from anywhere else because I know I’m going to get a delicious meal and outstanding customer service every time I order. Why would I need to order from anywhere else?! I now have a serious curry addiction since eating food from Rogan Josh. It’s a shame it’s not an eat in restaurant because if I go out for a curry I feel like I’m cheating on them for going elsewhere 😂

Delivery men are polite, the rang of dishes is sublime, the Zaal Mirchi Gosht is awesome ad my wife says its the best chicken passanda she's had

It genuinely astounds me that people would consider this food to be anything other than bland. The slick quality of the menu far over-hyped the end product and to be honest, i would have preferred to have eaten the menu.

Too variable in quality to recommend. Takeaway has been great several times. But twice now the quality has taken a complete nose dive. Chicken in the curries very rubbery and dry. Tastes like it's been reheated in microwave and curry sauce added on afterwards. Certainly not marinated abd cooked freshly. Dry and crumbly nahn breads. So unfortunately we aren't going to use again despite it being great at times.

Been our Indian takeaway of choice in Cheltenham for over 2 years. Food has always been fantastic- we love it! Takeaway is nice and easy. Delivery can take up to an hour during busy periods. We’ll be back again very soon!

We ordered the sangon and garlic coriander delight and were really impressed with both. Very flavoursome and perfectly cooked. The garlic and coriander and cheese nans were delicious too!
