Really nice food. Got a rake away and driver had real difficulty finding the house. When it came the portion sizes were smaller than I imagined Food was very tasty. 4 samosas, a starter and a naan bread, £29? Its too much

This place is without doubt the best Bangladeshi restaurant in the UK. The food is nothing like the run of the mill Indian food you’re probably used to, this is the ‘real deal’ authentic Indian food. We had such a warm welcome and friendly, professional service by our wonderful waiters throughout our time there, the food was cooked to perfection, presented beautifully and at a perfect pace. Chefs Sam & Monrusha really clearly care about the food they produce, this is evident as they source the very best local ingredients, cook and present each dish to create a perfect experience. We were delighted to hear that they have just achieved their AA** award. Congratulations to all the team, we can’t wait to return for yet another fabulous evening. 👏🏻

Curry Corner reins supreme after 47 years. No other restaurant in Cheltenham comes anywhere close to this in quality & taste. Absolutely delicious food busting with flavour upon flavour, delicious range of excellent drinks to accompany- we didn’t miss alcohol, it’s even without alcohol. We had Chotpoti, somosa & alo chaat to start with, then we lamb shank, Chicken makhani, most amazing Pasanda ever and king prawn garlic & coriander delight. The naan is fluffy and light . We also had Iranian pistachio and chocolate ice cream, gulab jamun and poached fruit . Ended with masala chaa & green. Highly recommend & can’t wait to go back.

We visited this lovely restaurant yesterday for dinner. My husband had been here over 30 years ago and found his love for curry and so wanted to reminisce and we were so surprised to find that Sam the chef had been there since the day it opened. The food was delicious ( going in our top 3) and the staff were very friendly and very efficient. This little gem of a restaurant is a little walk from Cheltenham town centre and is so worth a visit !! We will be back when we next visit Cheltenham.. but we won’t leave it 30+ years!

Lovely interior decor, very friendly proprietors and staff and delicious food, with several choices that we’d not seen before. A hidden gem, on arrival greeted with a warm friendly approach. Menu choice is extremely good. Hubby had sweet spicy honey chicken. I had chicken passanda which was the nicest we have both had. Different choice of naan breads. We chose date and honey and pastacio and coconut and they didn't disappoint yummy. Overall experience was 5 star even the chef of 47 years popped out to see if we were enjoying our food. Very friendly waiter. We will be back with friends. Only regret was I didn't have room for a home made ice-cream, will definitely try on our return.

This place serves the most authentic Indian food you can find anywhere! What this place is good at is sticking to its roots, cooking authentic dishes that are far removed from the average curry house. We received a lovely warm welcome, order was taken by our lovely waiter who even told us the background of the type of foods we were eating. The meal was so beautifully prepared and presented that we all felt that it was in someways ritualistic, so wonderful to watch. The place has a lovely atmosphere with comfortable furnishings that adds to the experience. We can’t thank Dad, Monrusha and Shamsul enough for a superb evening. We’ll be back asap! 🩵🙏🏼🩵

Lovely restaurant, a warm welcome as soon as we arrived. All the staff we met were polite and friendly. I had dinner with my mother. She had king prawn dansak I had the jalfrezi. Prawns were fresh and bouncy, sauces were flavourful and delicious, not oily in any way. We also had 2 lassi’s to drink, some sides, a honey and pistachio naan and a peshwari naan, both fantastic! The Interior itself is very charming and my mother loved the music too! Looking forward to going back.

We thought we'd have a night away, what better way to choose a location based on remarkable restaurant reviews. Given the Curry Corner was runner up in Ramsay's Best Indian restaurant we hoped we were in for a treat. Curry is definitely the dish we eat out most, indulging at least once per week. On arrival at the restaurant we received a warm welcome and guided to our table. I was slightly surprised by the low number of diners but hoped that would mean food would be quick. Whilst not the longest wait it took probably 30 minutes to produce the starters. The starter selection was good, individual dishes not usually seen on other menus. The Chot Potti and King Prawn Poori were excellent. Freshly cooked prawns were delicious and well presented. The mains we chose were the signature 1977 Tikka Masala and a Chicken Biryani. Usually I'd go for a slightly hotter than mild curry but thought I'd try the signature. The Tikka Masala did have a nice spice however the sauce was a tad watery and would probably have benefitted from some butter or longer cooking of the base sauce. The biryani was a bit dry. We had some interesting accompaniments. Butternut squash & Bindi bhajis as well as two naans, one Date and coconut and a garlic naan. The squash bhaji lacked flavor or seasoning. I was hoping for something similar to a pumpkin bhaji I order at another restaurant. The naans were a bit confusing. The garlic naan was sweet and not garlic like, the date naan didn't seem to have many dates in-fact they were difficult to distinguish between them. There was nothing really bad about the dining experience other than to say it was average and not amazing.

I celebrated my girlfriend's birthday at Curry Corner, where we had an amazing food experience. Being a vegetarian, she thoroughly enjoyed the vegetable samosas and aubergine jhol. She absolutely loved it. I opted for the Lamb Shank, which was incredible and even praised by Gordon Ramsay. She had the salty lassi, while I chose the mango and coconut lassi, both of which complemented our meal perfectly. For dessert, we savored Iranian pistachio & Chocolate kulfi and Golab jamun, providing the perfect ending to our meal. The staff was friendly, and if you're a foodie, Curry Corner is a must-visit.

Nice restaurant, service very good but food just average. Afghani Sheek Kebab was fatty and gristly. The Lamb Madras was good and the lamb very tender. The Chicken Tikka Masala was not like a usual chicken Tikka Masala. Lots of sauce but lacking in meat like most dishes. This restaurant does not serve alcohol and you can’t bring your own. We were asked if we would like still or sparkling water when seated. The waiter brought a bottle of water which barely gave us a glass each. I noticed on the bill it was £6!!!! Waited over an hour for our food. The Naga was the hottest curry we had in 55 years and could not eat any other food after that. The other other food was very good. We were invited by good friends, but we will not come here again. When we complained about the severe hotness of the naga and the long waiting times, the manager said “sorry”. The manager was not interested in my feedback. The owner came over and then simply refused to take any of our complaints on board. “I have been running this business for 30 years and I do not need your business”. If it was my restaurant, I would have handled over complaints so differently. Anyone visiting Cheltenham, please do come and dine here. We will not come again sadly.

We’ve just had the most delicious curry at Curry Corner. This is authentic Indian cuisine made with beautifully fresh ingredients. The curry’s have texture and have lots of flavour. We don’t normally opt for deserts after having a curry but since our little boy was with us, he wanted to try their ice-cream and OMG it’s incredible. The pistachio ice-cream is unbelievable, in fact so good I told the owner she should have a little ice-cream stall too. Just to add they are all homemade. We went on to try the orange and coconut too and they were equally as good. The service throughout was warm and welcoming too. All in all a lovely dinner out and we will return again. Curry Corner has only been serving take-aways since the start of the pandemic but we recently heard on the grapevine that it is open again for dinner. We used to eat here regularly and believed it was the best Indian restaurant in Cheltenham and so we booked for dinner here on Saturday. We were not disappointed. The food is just as brilliant as ever, the menu is unchanged and the prices are extremely reasonable. Ordered the night before for New Year's Eve and had to wait 15 mins outside when I turned up on the night! But the main problem we had was that the garlic chilli chicken and also the longhorn beef rogan josh were very, very salty. It was so bad my wife couldn't eat it and I struggled. I phoned immediately to let them know this and was just thanked for informing them. I was also told that they hadn't had this problem before, but I see from a previous comment here that this isn't true. It has happened before, which is poor customer service, in my mind. It put a real dampner on our New Year's Eve night as we had really been looking forward to it. It's such a shame, as we have ordered here for special curry nights before and it's always been of the highest quality, but we will now try a few other curry restaurants before revisiting again. ☹️

Placed order on their own website. Money came out of account (almost £60) but they said that they hadn’t received my order. Called up to explain the situation and was told very rudely that there was nothing they could do. I went into the restaurant to get further clarification and a better explanation to be told the same thing- there was nothing they could do and that it wasn’t their responsibility, even though the order was placed on their website! The lady who I spoke to in store was rude and abusive, saying I was “paranoid” and that I’m “obviously a paranoid person” because I I was worried I wasn’t going to receive a refund for the food I had paid for. Never ever again. Such a shame as I like giving my money to small businesses, especially after Covid but I certainly will not be visiting again.

We have used this restaurant for a special takeaway twice since the lockdown, most recently for a birthday this week. Not only was the food utterly delicious, but the staff really went the extra mile to make my son's meal special. I would not hesitate...

Wow wow and more wows. My partner and I had the best Indian meal I have ever eaten. Thank you to all the staff for a all round five star experience. The restaurant is open for take away or eat in. Don't let the CV19 stop you enjoying excellent food.

Top notch Bangladeshi cuisine. The King Prawn Dansak and 16 Spice Masala King Prawn were both epic, along with the Mushroom rice and Datw and Coconut Naan. Highly recommended.

Amazing, food is truly delicious and service is superb. Just go there you won’t be disappointed. The naan bread - we had sesame- was lightest and nicest one ever. I won’t be able to eat a supermarket one again. It was a fluffy cloud the...

The food here is amazing. A twist on normal Indian restaurants. Definitely a Michelin twist and a bit upmarket. I had the signature masala (chicken). We’ve known this place for 40 years and Sham and his daughter. Prices reasonable too

Not as great as it once was. Now just a slightly better than average Indian restaurant. Menu and drinks options could benefit from an overhaul

This was our first time trying roganjosh based on recommendations. Sadly it didn’t match expectations.. The good things first - the portion sizes were good, delivery was on time, tandoori chicken, peshawari naan and garlic naan were really good. The bad things - the chicken biriyani was a mixed peas, red peppers and chicken rice with more of a turmeric flavour than anything else. That’s not biriyani.. The chicken madras didn’t have much flavours other than turmeric and the raw heat of chilli powder. It is supposed to be flavourful and not just hot. Maybe we ordered on the wrong day, but we are disappointed… the search continues to find the perfect Indian takeaway that’s not my own kitchen!

Twice now our order was over an hour late .no apology no nothing. Spoilt our night on both occasions .won't be ordering from them again. Also curry was only half full on many occasions. Disappointed to say the least.

Went with my partner last night and food and service were great. We’ll be back for sure. The waiter who we spoke to about kids (my partner is pregnant) was great!

Really enjoyable location and staff were very pleasant. Super expensive unfortunately but overall food was very nice and service totally consistent. A nice place for that unusual experience.

WARNING! This restaurant is a scam! I had ordered Madras chicken curry, Shrimp Bhuna Balti and North Indian Garlic Chilli Chicken and all three dishes looked the same and tasted the same and what's worse all 3 dishes were ghastly in taste. No where near what they should tasting like. Complete disrespect of their respective regions in India. Also, their biryani was just horrible! It was like they served random masala glazed pulaf in the name of biryani. These guys are a scam in the restaurant business. Please steer clear from them!
