Roedean Cafe & Miniature Golf Club in Brighton and Hove

First time here, had the Roedean breakfast, gorgeous. Friendly staff and the view is amazing.

Second time i come all the way from Brighton to this caffe and they can’t make a simple bacon and egg sandwich, DO NOT WASTE YOURE MKNEY HERE.

Handy cafe, ok food, burger was expensive

Lovely place, great views, should be amazing in summer. Unfortunately no vegan set breakfast but it's easy enough to swap things or build your own. Vegetarian and omni friends had a massive fry up, I was very jealous!

Met up with friends for brunch . Had a really good fish finger sandwich in granary bread . It was very nice and a good price. Also had a flat white coffee.

the food was amazing quality and the service was great. the only negative i doing was that the tables and high chairs were very dirty and sticky. there was ketchup marks all over the high chairs and kids toys/book which i'd hoped would get cleaned each day at least. but that didn't take away from the yummy food and kind servers!

Nice cafe, views of the marina and a golf course next door for those that are interested. Funny looking sticks from the cafe.

Sort out ladies toilet!!!! Been going here for years, always great however cold fried egg sitting in pool of oil and cold coffee served with an attitude.

What a great little dinner, cooked breakfast and other assortments of lunches and snacks, good prices, for a pleasant place to eat, and the place is spotless and with friendly staff, can be very busy, but still lovely, great place to sit and watch the sea, great for the summer, and still nice for winter but being so close to the sea you might want sit down.

Burnt toast. Really tough bacon. Like it had been in the oven maybe? Anyhow. Generic reply is 'did you speak to a member of staff'. Most people don't, either because they don't want to jeopardise the relationship, or they don't want to wait for it to be resolved to find they are now eating alone because the other parties have finished their meals? This is meant as feedback only.

Lovely cafe high up in front of the golf course, welcoming with good food for passing travellers looking for somewhere to go post lockdown. Having just frequented Roedean cafe again, it is still popular and busy. We had a lovely brunch which we waited for, and it was well worth it! Would still recommend it but beware it is busy on a sunday.

Had a very nice breakfast but this was spoilt by sitting outside on their picnic tables that are very old and have a lot of nail and screw heads sticking out. Sadly, I tore my shorts. I would say these are unsafe and should all be replaced. I told the staff and they were going to mention it to the Manager. Hopefully they will do something about it as it spoilt a nice breakfast.

Really nice place - friendly staff and nice food. Quite an extensive menu . Attended as a classic car event was being hosted. Plenty of parking.

Excellent service best place to go for breakfast

I first come here 5 or 6 years ago for the end of year Brighton run. Every time I'm in the area I stop off and have breakfast or even an early dinner. Food has always been fresh and very nice. The service is great even when it's busy.

Little cruise to Brighton stopped off at the cafe.

Fantastic place. Food is always freshly cooked and very well priced. Also has a Gluten Free menu which is great for us as we have Ceoalics in the family. Always a pleasure coming here. Poul goes above and beyond as do all the staff. We use the Cafe for a twice yearly Car Cruz and have done for many years. Poul allows us to park our custom/American Cars on the edge of the Course if we fill the car park up and we always park respectfully. We love this venue and the Owner and Staff and thank them for their hospitality.

Sunday 24/09/23 Cruised down to Roedean in about 75 cars, we’ll over 100 of us in total. Plenty of parking for us all, and plenty of seating too. The menu was extensive, and the top quality food was brought to the table, in a timely manner, piping hot, by one of the many young and polite staff members, who are a credit to the owner. Thanks to Derek C for organising this event with the owner, and can’t wait to go again. Ps I’d give more stars if there was an option to.

Great place apart from the coffee: it’s so easy to get decent coffee these days so was a real disappointment to get a really poor, machine made cappuccino. Food was very good though.

Lovely food, but anyone with mobility issues has 2 manage 5 steps so not wheel chair accessible... need a ramp one side

Fantastic breakfast and service 👌🏻

Bright and clean first impressions and really good variety menu. We had sandwiches (choice of three types of bread) and a bowl of chips. The sandwiches had plenty of filling and the chips were crispy and brown and hot! These were all a very reasonable price. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was very pleasant. We had a round of golf before our meal which was great fun so would highly recommend the whole experience

Cafe & mini golf. Does great food, you can have 1.5hrs free parking by registering your vehicle on the tablet by the till. You can buy all day parking if you wish. They do a mean double sausage, egg & chips. Coffee is not fancy but it tastes great. Highly recommend

Over the years I have passed this place many times when bussing to and fro between Brighton and East Sussex, so decided to pay a visit. I should've stayed on the bus. Stunning sea views and a mini golf ⛳️ course can't make up for overpriced, inadequate (cold) food. £13.25 for the pictured breakfast (admittedly, I could have tomatoes as well, but declined). A mug of tea plonked on my table, causing spillages that I had to mop up. Breakfast arrived and only then was I informed that I had to fetch my own cutlery (something which could have pointed out when I placed my order). A huge disappointment and I won't be revisiting. Only saved by the location and friendly staff.

Girl serving at counter was extremely rude when I requested my tea in a way I like it ..husband ordered veggie breakfast and was given meat sausage, luckily not allergic and not strict vegetarian

Really gone downhill, my friend had cheese on toast which had been microwaved and left to cold so was a rubbery greasy mess. It took so long I had to ask where it was, it had obviously been sitting on the kitchen side. Only ate some because she was so hungry. Staff not particularly friendly towards us, felt cliquey in there. Used to go fairly regularly but won't go again.

It was ok not what i expected. Lovely view. Not great quality i am sorry to say. We were recommended by a friend . might a have just been one if those days. Thankyou

Still a fantastic place with great views over the coastline.

Along the cliff drive into Brighton it is a lovely cafe. Looked initially like it was just for the putting golf course behind but when there, realised it is more of a local haunt with lots of builders and dog walkers dropping in. Stopped for a drink and ice cream. Very clean and had a 80's Little Chef vibe to it. Well worth a visit but do remember to put your vehicle registration in on the machine as you go in! Lots of reminders all over but you don't want to get a ticket. Worked out why the system is in place as across the road, down the slope are some hidden little beach spots! So don't get caught out. Highly recommend the clotted cream vanilla ice-cream too.

We had a full Roedean breakfast, very tasty and very filling, didnt eat for hours after.

ブライトンスタジアム訪問の後に海を見ながらランチしたいと思い立ち寄りました。海沿いののどかな雰囲気のCafe&Restaurantです。裏側には原っぱの丘が広がっているとかと思いきやゴルフコースのようでした。いい感じです。目の前の時間制限のある無料駐車場に車を停めて、店内でナンバープレート番号を記録します。しさしぶりのFish&Chipsはカリッとさっぱり仕上がっていて美味しかったです。

Always love going to Roedean cafe. Good food, plenty of veg options, large portions served quickly. Plus they host Pebbledash 3rd Friday of the month, a classic car meet up.

Roedean cafe is my favorite breakfast cafe. I really love the mood inside, and also the sea view. I ordered roedean special and got a big plate with 2 eggs, 2 sausages, 2 hash browns, 2 tomatoes, 2 bacons, 2 breads and a tea. Everything was so delicious and I was very full. Thank you for serving great english breakfast! I will definitely visit again.

Friendly cafe. Food is basic but reliable. Big carpark but make sure you register at the iPad to avoid a fine. Not expensive.

Loved this place been meaning to write this review since last year. My elderly mum and family were regulars and really found the staff friendly, however wasn't any slope for disabled and mum struggled with stairs even tho only a few steps.Unfortunately mum fell one day outside and had to go to hospital. We went back to cafe a few months later without mum and I was shocked that the owner and staff who knew us as we had been coming to cafe for good few years didn't even ask how mum was or if she was ok after fall. I was really surprised and a little upset maybe I'm just sensitive however I have stopped coming now which is a shame. I hope they have better access now as they did win cafe of the year a few years back

What a great place to have breakfast. The seaviews are awesome, the food is freshly cooked and the staff are so friendly. Couple this with free parking( a rarity in brighton) and this place ticks all the boxes.

Cozy place to have breakfast after a pretty walk around Brighton Marina. They have variety of breakfast meals to choose from. Breakfast tastes okay but the cake was dry and probably will not try again. They have good space for parking here and a lovely view of the sea while having a scrumptious English breakfast.

Great little café overlooking the coast. Very different look and feel for a UK diner....maybe that's why it feels so unique. And....it's dog friendly too!

I dine here for breakfast regularly. Today, in particular, was an exceptional breakfast and deserves the effort to leave a review. Always served with a smile. Even when they are busy at weekends, the service is still friendly and efficient. I wouldn't consider anywhere else.

Magic location, lovely, especially on a sunny day with its vast views of the sea, and the marina poking out a bit. It's where you park and pay for a round of Pitch and Putt golf, but, a big but, you must remember to enter your car registration into the machine on the end of the counter, inside the cafe. 6 stars 🤩

Good food and views, nice atmosphere and pleasant service. Make sure you read the parking instructions and enter your licence plate details at the till to avoid a parking fine.

Delightful period piece with excellent views over the marina and sea. Free parking for customers is a real bonus, while bus stops are also adjacent. Typical Brighton cafe menu at fair prices, food was served hot and good quantities but let down for me by leathery bacon. It also took a long time queuing to place an order but might be a Sunday problem. I will return.

View is decent showing right over the marina and the sea. Small cosy cafe with decent food. Bit on the pricey side but very polite and decent food. Restaurant was also pet friendly not that we had any dogs ourself but was a couple that came in that was no bother to anyone apart from a bark when they first saw eachother. Before that bark and we hadn't even noticed them so a great spot for local dog walkers or even a spot to drop in if your driving past like we done. We both enjoyed was pleasent

Ordered 2 breakfasts and a slice of cake. Just over £30 . The price has risen and the food has gone downhill. Slimey undercooked eggs, stale cake and dirty toilets. Used to be a fantastic place with good food. Won't be visiting for a while

Best cafe that I know in Sussex.

Attend a monthly car meet here and the welcome is always friendly and the staff very helpful and polite. The food is great and there is the option to eat inside or out with views of the Marina and our to sea..

Go for the full English breakfast because this is what this place speciliases in and it would be value for money and generous in portions. Nice location overlooking the sea and must be lovely in the summer

Free parking. Good quality food, clean. Mainly seems to be operated by Saturday girls even on week days (possibly pupils from Roedean School on Work Experience ?) - call me an old grouch but I don't really think customers (me in this case) should be addressed as "Buddy" by a Saturday boy young enough to be my grandson - but maybe I'm losing touch.

I was the only vegan in a group of six visiting late on Sunday morning. Despite their vast menu, they have zero vegan options. I saw that they sell porridge with banana. So I asked if they could make a vegan porridge with water or plant milk. I was rudely informed that I could only order what is on the menu - that they are a greasy cafe and they don't cater for people like me. I was hungry, so with porridge not an option I asked if I could have toast and marmalade with vegan butter. Again, a hard no. So all I could have was a banana. I would have left but the rest of the group had ordered big breakfasts. I don't think I've every experienced a cafe with zero flexibility before, and such disdain for a potential customer. I will never return.

Popped in this morning for a full breakfast, (my first visit). Lovely view, great service, lovely breakfast with friendly staff. Will recommend to friends and family.

Live local, so it's my go to place. My favourite is sausage chips and bean, b&b Can't fault it. Took friends who had fish / chips, pie / chips. All were happy. Great portion of pubbings, sticky toffee pud and custard. (You'll need to walk it off after) Very staff, also nice they have the dividers still in place. Highly recommend.

I've been coming here for 50 years and my family love it. Great location, lovely food and beautiful scenery. If you use any of the facilities parking is free so I don't understand the negative parking comments. Hopefully I will be around to visit for...

Coffee was very nice. Toilets not the most hygienic. Could do with more vegan options. Sauce bottles on tables were very unclean. Otherwise a lovely place, great views and lots to choose from. Good size car park and both indoor and outdoor seating.
