One of my favourite things to do on my day off from my stress ridden job is to get up early in the morning, take a 40 mile cycle ride along the coast from my home to this fabulous cafe to enjoy their breakfast. What a fantastic way to unwind.I don't think I need to say any more really -- I visited again this week and was not disappointed.

Absolutely brilliant as always and COVID safe. So glad the cafe has reopened - clear procedures in place to keep everyone safe. Service as friendly as ever and food the same high standard we expect. Keep up the good work 👍

The Laine Deli

12/10/2020: After reading some of the reviews for the deli, we decided to give it a go. Not disappointed!Food was great, I had scrambled egg and the missus had eggs Royal. Guys who served were lovely and couldn't do enough for us.Will definitely go there again, the next time we're back in Brighton.
22/08/2020: Found this little gem by mistake, as was going to park in the nearby College carpark, which was no longer a carpark as building work going on, but found a place to park right outside and there was the Deli!! Son was taking his driving theory test just up the road, so I sat outside as a lovely day and was served by a lovely young lady. Had the Eggs Benedict (with Bacon not Ham) and the sauce was delightful, as sometimes is too sickly in other restaurants? Lazy coffee on the side, then joined by son (who passed!!) and he went for the same.Loads of choices of food here and Eateries locally, but you won't be disappointed if you choose this one?

Bardsley's

25/09/2020: Had our temperature checked and hand sanitized before we sat down.We ordered a few starters to share between us.Calamari was really tasty but the whitebaits are cooked from frozen. We had fried cod and chips and grilled cod and chips, both are excellent.Shame about their homemade tartar sauce was bland with no taste at all.
13/08/2020: We had an 'eat out to help out' lunch here yesterday. It was great. I'd made a reservation but not every table had reserved. Before entry, our temperatures were taken, we sanitised our hands, were seated and given new paper menus (which were thrown away after we'd used them). The tables were nicely spaced. It was professionally done but still very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is original and authentic. Old posters and signs. We had some super cod, chips and mushy peas along with bread and butter, lemonade and ginger beer! And ketchup of course! Just what you expect from a traditional fish and chip shop. Service was great - thank you Shannon. So, I'd very much recommend this for traditional fish and chips in a nice setting with good service.Thank you Bardsley's for our super lunch and thank you Rishi Sunak for the 'eat out to help out' discount!
