Amazing food, soda bread melt in your mouth with mackerel pate, Lemon sole, layered chips and my favourite, cabbage, I need the recipe. Excellent service- Hannah was very knowledgable about each dish on the menu and her calm, pleasant manner added to a very enjoyable evening.

Great restaurant in the "pop brixton" the interior is very small with two big tables with around 10 seats each, the atmosphere is very familiar and the sea food is fresh and well presented, you can also found dishes that you don't normally found in London such of black ink squid spaghetti. if you are planning to go with a large group of friends go in the summer as they have many more tables outside.

Absolutely loved it. Food was genius and staff were slick. Don't be put off by the queues at the entrance to Pop Brixton, you can slide of down the side of it to get access to the restaurant. Very good indeed

We stumbled upon this place about six weeks ago when looking for a last minute Friday night place to eat - they managed to squeeze us in early doors. I’ve been another two times since. It’s great to have yet another top quality food offering in Brixton. Sustainable Irish seafood was a novel concept to us. As a couple of foodies with Irish connections who like to have a meat free (sorry fishies!) meal every once in a while, Roe ticked a lot of boxes for us. The menu is small, but there’s enough variety around the central theme to satisfy most taste buds. We’ve tried every dish on the menu and they were no duds. Standout dishes for me were the cuttlefish and ink arancini, the burnt hispi cabbage, and the fried anchovies. There’s a real convivial feel to eating at Roe. The dishes are tapas-style and you are encouraged to order a few to share. (Great if your indecisive/greedy like me.) On a cold day, the entire restaurant (incl. kitchen) is housed in a sea container. The long tables and benches again at to the conviviality whilst the tight space manages to feel cosy and intimate at the same time. On a warmer night, it’s a great spot to sit outside and feed off the buzzy ambience of Pop Brixton and beyond. Did I mention they have a tasty selection of craft beers and wines too?!

If you're into food that tastes great and is presented beautifully, great service, cool atmosphere without being overbearing, and prices that dont make your eyes water, Roe is the place. Was genuinely blown away with the quality of food, and the friendly and helpful service was the tip of the iceberg. Looking forward to going back soon and trying the rest of the menu!

Well done for this awesome resto. Fish was simply amazing with lots of exciting gastro dishes. I loved the pollock and thick cut potatoes. Ceviche was very refreshing too. Looking forwards to my next visit!

Came here for an anniversary dinner. The food was amazing, as was the wine. Our favourite dishes were squid ink and cuttlefish arancini, squid noodles with fermented hot sauce and the burnt hospital cabbage. Would definitely return

Obviously compact space with sharing tables, but very good atmosphere. Everything we ordered was spot on, very delicious, even the bread! Managed to grab the last two Oysters, would have ordered more. Would certainly recommend.

We booked this restaurant for my 60th birthday because they served oysters and octopus and poitin. But when we got there and ordered there were no oysters and no substitution was made for them on the set menu for two despite my request. Yet we were still charged the full amount. There was no octopus and this was substituted with very overcooked and rubbery squid! The dish with poitin wasn't on the menu. There was no lager. There was no lemonade. Where was the Irish influence? The guinness soda bread didn't taste of anything, although the mackeral pate was good. Food was very slow to come. How would they like it if we said we didn't have any money available tonight? Disappointed that we went all that way for something that promised so much but was in the end so overhyped and a let down.

This place never fails me at all the breakfast options are amazing and they know I don't eat hash browns so always swaps for another option, and they know how I love my eggs. Lovely friendly people it's my go to place when I am in the office,I sometimes go when I am not at work, the foods that good.

I got a portion of cod bites for £4 and a large chips for £3.90. Cod bites were lovely but very very small and thin, one portion is probably equivalent to 1/4 of a fillet of cod. I'd get two if I were to buy again. Chips were fairly standard, maybe a little bit too oil-soaked and not quite as crispy as you'd want them. Overall a very OK offering.

Sehr sehr gutes Essen, freundliche Bedienung und angemessene Preise. Ich empflehle übrigens den Hummer, der sehr lecker war. Vielen Dank für das gute Essen!
