Rocky's Easy Diner in Tameside

Placed order for delivery; told it would be within 45 minutes. 1 hour 20 minutes later, not yet arrived. Phoned to query; the woman on the phone laughed before telling me it had left the restaurant. Food eventually arrived 1 hour 40 minutes after order was placed. Upon arrival asked for £2 more than the price stated when order placed. Money not the issue but after the pathetic service, the nerve surprised me. Needless to say, food was cold and it was average at best. Used to order from here nearly every weekend. Not been for a while... standards have slumped! Will not be ordering from here again. Many local places which provide much better food and much better service.

We visited today for the first time. Great service and great food. Staff lovely and milkshakes are fab. Will definatley be returning.

We ate here recently for the second time. Both times food and service have been excellent! Great tasting food and generous portion sizes. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. And we love the 60’s music and American theme decor. Will definitely be returning.

Menu looks great but the food was awful. Everything undercooked apart from the burger which was tasteless and overdone/rubbery. Restaurant was busy with kids running around screaming everywhere, jumping on our seat/table. It was really disappointing.

Burger was a burnt tasteless mess and got about 6 chips which were soggy and not cooked properly Don’t waste your money go somewhere else

Not nice at all, we just order from Uber eats for the first time, hand cut chips had a really bad smell to them and they were raw, ordered cheesy chips for my littleone and they were the same raw and smelt really bad. Ordered meatball pasta, and the meatballs were hard and dry. Really bad food for that price. Will not be ordering from here again.

Ordered for delivery via Just Eat, after speaking to the staff to clarify an order, this at around 5.20pm today, received acceptance of order and confirmation of amount paid at 5.35pm, the order was for 7.25pm, order was late so tried to contact the Diner could not get through, eventually 8.45pm got through, said they had been busy so taken phone off the hook, also were ignoring just eat orders for nowsaid they would refund, asked for email confirming this, will seein due courseI appreciate the current situation means places can be busy but they had order and my contact number for over five hours and not even a call, even when 3 hours late from delivery timei did ask if it had been processed, answer no ........... unbelieveable

Ordered delivery from here, had a burger which was great and tasty. Delivery dis take quiet a while, but didn’t mind as the food made up for it

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE. MY ORDER CAME 45 MINUTES LATE. My food was either cold, soggy or dry. The milkshake even tasted watered down. The restaurant wouldn’t help me and told me to contact just eat which I did and they told me that I’d have to contact the restaurant as it was a cash order. After this the restaurant refused to give me a refund as the food was ordered through just eat. IVE WASTED £30 AND HAVE HAD NO FOOD DUE TO THIS RESTAURANT SERVING ME FOOD WHICH WAS NOT EDIBLE!!I am not one to complain but this service was disgusting.

We had driven past this place many time’s but thought we would give it a try. We had lunch there and it was great! We hade chili cheesy natchos to share....absolutely delicious! The pulled bbq chicken burger was delicious! Served with real home cooked skin on chips. The Rastafarian chicken burger was also a hit! The service was great and staff were really friendly. In fact, we were given a £5 token for our next visit or take away order. They also deliver food .

Went here for my 10 years old birthday meal. Wish we hadn't bothered. It took an hour for our meal to turn up......even though we were the only ones in the place. It was obvious that they were more interested in the Uber eats orders they had rather than actual customers that bother to visit the place.When the make eventually did turn up my wife's vegetables and mash were stone cold. When we complained it was out back in the oven along with the steak. Unfortunately, this resulted in piping hot vegetables and mash and very tough streak. £2.95 for a 330 mil coke. It's cheaper if you take out!When I paid at the end for the coke i still wasn't the main focus as the guy was too busy doing something else then actually paying attention to the paying customer.It's an odd place this. Got to be honest, it'll be the only time I visit.

Strange service not unfriendly but not really efficient, handed a menu at the door and just told take any table and considering only 4 other people eating we waited too long to order even a drink and then took us three attempts to be able to order as items missing off the menu. Table looked clean but was definitely sticky. Lots of shouting (not angry) between waiter and kitchen. Milkshake machine was obviously broken but still being used and made a right old racket/noise that wasn’t pleasant!! All in all food just ok really, and it was cheap which softened the blow a bit and kind of sums up the place. We had visited a few years back and was fine then. Sadly we won’t be back.

I came into the shop and it took at least 30 mins for someone to take my order with only 4 people in the shop, then waiting for something small it took over an hour wait, then one of the waiters told us to chill when we looked at him without even us saying anything!!!!!

Came in took them 30 minuets to take my order. When they finally did took them 15 minuets to five me my drink and another 20 minuets after that for my food and I ordered a dessert! Wasn’t busy at all only two tables in! Terrible service very slow!

Came here for the start of season on a Friday ordered beef short ribs & a cheese burger with sweet potato fries also ordered a portion of nachos to share. The nachos came out quick and were pretty good tbh. The short ribs were nice and Succulent. I tried my friends’ chicken wings and chicken goujons which were ok. My burger came and looked nice. The pattie was moist but not well seasoned so could not really taste the beef. The sweet potato fries were nice. Overall a mixed bag really. Average food but great service.

Popped in a week ago for a milkshake and decided to come back for evening meal. Very good food. Hot and reasonably priced. Main meal was great and loved my freakshake! Will definitely be coming back!!!

Absolutely love going inside and eating here but never again will we get takeaway!! We live like 10 minutes away and it took about an hour and a half on a Tuesday for our food to arrive, it took around 5 different phonecalls to and from different people for them to locate our food and for it to then be cold by the time we started to eat it

Would definitly not be coming back to this place, food was horrible! Greasy undercooked and bland, not to mention that the order was wrong.

Nice environment however the food was disappointing- coleslaw and bread was certainly not fresh, burgers were far too greasy and it was served cold.

This was our first visit to Rocky's, I had seen it from the tram . The guys waiting on we're really friendly and made an effort to make you feel welcome and to make sure you were attended too. The chilli cheese nachos were very good, I had the New Yorker Burger and thus to was very good, you could tell it had been chargrilled. The French fries were good, however the hand cut chips were not crispy enough for my liking. Would recommend and will visit again. This is a good venue for families as they don't serve alcohol.

Just ordered a takeaway it took over an hour and 40 minutes to come the pizza was not cooked the burger and wedges was dripping in grease and the burger was £6 paid extra for coleslaw all dried up looked days old deffinatly will not be ordering from here again and will be spreading the story.

When I order a take out the one thing the restaurant can do to be sure to lose my custom is miss items off the delivery! I really find this very poor service. The chips, coleslaw and side salad were missing from the order. I called Rocky's to inform them and was told they would be 15 minutes...the restaurant is at the back of my house why it would take this long by which time my other food would be cold I don't know. I requested salad on the steak baguette..there was none on it. My burger was dry and had old lettuce on it...another pet hate. The kids portion sizes are very small for £4/5 per meal I would have expected more than a couple of spoonfuls of pasta. For £25 it was definitely not value for money. A very disappointing experience.

A brilliant place to take kids, the guys here really make the effort with them. Prices are good, the food is great and the atmosphere is brilliant. I had the insanity burger. It's very hot, but tastes great. No alcohol though.

We’ve been here a few times now as we live fairly local and each time we enjoy it. We’d usually travel a bit further afield for food but it’s convenient for tea sometimes.

Visited from being in town....our first time in and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Not a long wait only downside was coleslaw was a little watery but hotdog and burger where great .. Would definitely recommend and go again ...and rather cheap

Our first visit to Rockys and would highly recommend it. The decor is really nice the staff are friendly and the food was really good. The only negative is the difficulty in parking close but that shouldn’t put you off trying Rockys.

Went around 3:30pm and it was pretty quite. Ordered Rockys Mega Burger came with wedges and coleslaw but would have preferred chips rather then wedges.

Absolutely loved it, we had chilli nachos to share they were really good chilli had a nice kick!

Didn't like the metal container for my steak, because of the design, my steak was hard to cut. Also the steak was a bit too dry and hard, like it was old. Also the mash was hard, not soft the way I like.

Nice place, staff friendly. Menu good. We only went for the ice cream though. Not the sort of place that sells pork though, so bacon butties are out.

the milkshakes from this place are something else, i have been to many places like this but rockys is a cut above the rest. staff here are brilliant, very friendly and welcoming. definitely worth a late night drive.

I have literally just finished eating a take away order that cost me £17. In all honesty that was £16 over charged. 2 burgers, fries and a side order of onion rings.

I ordered the buffalo chicken burger, pop corn chicken and slaw to be collected. I ordered from the website and it was an easy and efficient process. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food, given the location I was expecting McDonald's standards but it is on another level. The food was fresh and full of flavour. The service was top class too. I will definitely be returning.

I visited for a lunchtime treat with my 6 year old.

If you don't go for anything else just go for the freak shakes, I had the Nutella one and needless to say I feel like I have been in a sugar coma ever since. (I've added a photo) full of milky creamy and ice cream goodness with a block of sponge cake, it is probably my entire years with of sugar intake in 10 minutes. Well worth it though.

Just been with my fiancé, had garlic bread started and both had burgers for main.

We popped in at Sunday lunchtime as we were passing and thought we would give it a go. The service was prompt and friendly, the milkshake was tasty and the burgers were nice. The restaurant has had a great deal of effort made on its style and it looks great, the music was spot on for an American themed restaurant.

Rockys is fantastic, originally going to another restaurant to eat, but decided to pop into Rockys, thank god we did. We went in the day we got back from our holidays and boy was the food tasty, Myself and hubby shared beef nachos, absolutely to die for, even better than the ones from the Hard Rock Cafe, we shared a full medium chilli chicken, and I mean a full chicken, we ended up taking some of it home, far too much, had the leftovers for lunch, even better the next day, my son had a hot dog, he said it was really nice, he also had a jammy dodger milkshake, really tasted of jammy dodgers, beautiful, the only down side was no wine or beer as they are not licensed, so two bottles of smart water, and last but not least the waiter came over with a burger, we didn't want Ryder one, but he made it and gave it to us for free, I must say I don't eat burgers that often, maybe one every two or three years, had some the next day at home and it was delicious.

Visited on Saturday night (01/07) with my partner around 7pm after booking a table, we were seated straight away and given menus we ordered a peanut butter and chocolate malt shake and a chocolate malt shake the peanut butter one was amazing one of the nicest I've had and I do have a lot of milkshakes! We had the ribs and chicken wings to start the ribs were a little dry and stringy but had a good flavour, the chicken wings were very tasty! I had a chilli dog and my partner had the pulled pork burger again the pulled pork was a little dry but the burger and hot dog were very tasty! I also ordered cheesy fries they were actually wedges but still very very tasty! We had a couple more milkshakes and the bill was £47 a little expensive at first thought but when we had 4 milkshakes at £4 each the food price was actually quite reasonable! The staff were friendly and attentive and the place itself is really quirky! Half way through our meal a family came in with 3 kids who were allowed to run around the restaurant generally annoying everyone else, not the restaurants fault but it only takes a plate of hot food spilt on the child and it becomes serious, one of the kids went to the toilet just before me to my unfortunate luck, she had left both taps running, soap all over the floor and the toilet itself in a disgusting state! Overall we will return maybe later in the evening to try and avoid the above! Thanks Denise xxx

First visit to this place and it was a good impression. Staff was friendly. The restaurant did have the American diner theme with the old rock and roll music which went well together. Had the ribs and insanity burger. Ribs were of the born. Just the way I like them. Burger with wedges I barely finished it because it was a big size. Burger was really nice but I think the wedge were slightly over cook. Had a milkshake at the end. Over all really like the place. I will come back

I visited the restaurant with friends after a recommendation from the owner who was a taxi driver of ours. He advised us of great prices for loads of food and it lived up to its expectation!

The food here was delicious, the kids were treated lovely, own menus, colouring sheets and pencil crayons. The place was very warm as the air con had packed in, but the guys placed a fan in our direction to help cool us down (lovely touch). Thank you for a lovely evening P.S the milkshake was amazing (mint choc chip) xXx

Had chilli nachos for starters between two of us. There was plenty and we didn't finish. Very nice. My boyfriend had juicy Lucy burger which he really enjoyed. He ordered chunky chips but they were wedges that came with it. I had pulled chicken BBQ burger which was nice. I was a bit disappointed with the sweet potato fries as it didn't seem like they were cooked properly (they were a bit hard). My boyfriend had cookie dough cheesecake with ice cream for dessert which was nice. Service was really good and I would probably go back again in the future and try something different. Reasonably priced also.

We came on Saturday night before a trip to the cinema thinking would give this place a try instead of our usual haunts pizza hut frankies five guys ect on arrival staff were really friendly and place looked the part can see they've taken inspiration from almost famous and the likes but looked good and was really looking forward to having a gourmet burger place on my door step but sadly not quite, firstly we ordered chilly cheese nachos which were tasty and spicey and a good serving to share we also had buffalo wings which sadly were a bit thin and not alot of meat on them having sampled my fair share of wings these weren't the best didn't seemed to be seasoned just cooked and sauce put on them then came the main which was a difficult choice as most of the burgers were the same just given different name and no BBQ option or buttermilk chicken just the basics really i went with the juicy Lucy burger was a good size however would of been better on brioche bun as one i had wasn't up for the job just fell apart, the burger itself was good nice big patty but again dont think was very well seasoned just didn't wow me i had sweet potatoe fries with it which again were very bland taste finally came the desert my wife had a freak shake which she said was nice however I had the newyork cheese cake which i don't believe was fresh base soggy not crumblely and bit of strange taste finally the bill came and yes this place is good value for basically a three course meal and drinks each was 45 quid but it didn't leave me wanting more and to top it off i had to drive around to go and get cash out as there card machine crashed so wasn't great this place is a good value and is a young business and i wish them luck however first impressions count and sadly not enough to get me back sorry

We called in on Friday evening around 7, there was a couple of families in and a group of friends. We were immediately greeted by a smiling face and given a choice of table. We chose the Booth in the corner by the window. The menu, decoration and music is great. We ordered drinks (no alcohol is served FYI) the only thing I'd say here is that they were slightly warm so could have done with glasses and ice - no big deal though. We had a veg pizza and curly fries, big belly burger and a steak and chips. All came out hot and served in a quirky way - something our family enjoys! The food was all really nice. For dessert we had almond cake and cookie dough - both again had good reviews. The staff are so nice, checked on us, made eye contact and all smile away! The pizza was too much for me and they offered to box it up. We had a really lovely evening, reasonably priced and in great surroundings. It is just what the area needed something fresh and new! Looking forward to going back and trying something else.

Family dinner at Rocky's, great customer service, clean place, food was delicious, burgers and steaks were nice and tender and tastes good, freak shakes are BIG but delicious! Ice cream quality is not great, taste cheap and not much variety but cookie dough and waffles are yummy. I will definitely be coming again. 8/10

A lot of thought has been put into the decor and vibe of this place, it has a really American feel to it with attention to the smaller details. Staff were a little quiet but were attentive and there when needed. Food was delicious with good portions at half the prices you'd pay for something similar in the city centre.

Me and the wife have watched this place being renovated, as we pass on the way to work. From the outside it looks like a casual American diner. Inside they have rock and roll music playing and the American style booths. Wooden tables with leather seats etc. Beautiful place inside. We ordered the food and asked for it all to come together starters and mains cos then we could just nibble. Garlic bread with cheese was lovely and light. Nachos with chilli was to be honest, one of the nicest chilli I've tasted. We both ordered burgers which were really nice. The wife's highlight was the strawberry milkshake she ordered. On the whole a lovely experience and will definitely be returning.

Came here last night for hubbys birthday, not too busy as we came about 8.30, very reasonably priced food. Not sure if it was just teething problems but took awhile for our drinks and starters to come.

Love diner food and this was really good. Great shakes,burgers and deserts. Loads of meal/desert/drink options. Great atmosphere/staff and food. Would go again highly recommended.

Very child friendly American style diner. Staff couldn't be more attentive and were very welcoming. Food was as expected, rather basic but still perfectly edible. Some innovative use of trays and boxes as alternatives to plates. Plenty of variety on soft drinks. Overall it is what it is, but don't expect bells and whistles.

Thought this place was worth a visit as in locality and looks good from outside, also you can see 5 star food hygiene rating a mile off.

Came here with a few friends and the food was brilliant. Service was also very good, and the food came out quickly. Parking could be easier, but that's the only gripe. All in all, a very good food option, especially the big Belly burger! Would recommend.

We randomly walked in for a quick bite to eat. Its a cute little American diner. We had Man n cheese burger and Juicy Lucy both burgers were yummy :D the smoothie was nice too. Very attentative staff

Went for my daughters 4th bday had a fantastic night staff couldnt do enough for us and very child friendly. food was lovely burgers and hotdogs both to a very good standard in fact it was hard to find fault in anything we were served. Even brought my daughter a free bday ice cream which was delicious highly recommended good luck to them as a business trying to do something different give it a try you will not be disappointed we will be returning again soon for sure

We had a meal here to celebrate our daughters birthday, our 3 fussy kids all enjoyed and finished their hotdogs. Reasonable prices and good portion sizes, only needed a few sides between 4 adults and definitely not 1 each. Staff were lovely and we're fine with us having our birthday cake for desert even bringing free ice cream and bowls spoons for us. Would highly recommend love the look of the place too, thanks!

So we saw the new diner in pasting and said to each other, "fair play, setting up something different for the area with the competition very close by" we committed to walking in one night instead of cooking. As we sat down it was clear to see the place was new, not just in the decor but could sense the nervousness of staff with typical restaurant routines. I particularly liked the look of the place, looking around I could see that layout and look had been carefully thought out with money spent in the right areas to achieve the desired look but saved in others where not necessary. The menu was intriguing and adopted the feel of an adventurous restaurant but in further reading offered nothing special but nothing more than the standard takeaway. As we chose our food we were a little cautious over the prices as we weren't expecting items to be as dear as they were in particular the drinks, if I was in the city centre I would expect it but for its location I thought it was rather overpriced.

Newly opened, Rockys is something different for this area where we are not short of places to eat, Macdonalds, Pizza Hut, Frankie and Bennys, Nandos to name just a few. The difference is that it is owned by real people , not large companies and it really shows in the service you get. They care what you think and want you to come again.

Great place, this is a new American diner opposite the metro stop, great food and mocktails, well worth a try, very fresh food and it tastes like it should.
