Crunchy Chicken in Tameside

Good chicken shop and friendly staff but the website needs sorting out. It's charges an extra £1.50 for a meal when you have already chosen the meal option.

All the food, pizza, chicken, gravy and chips tasted stale. The drinks were missing . It arrived 30 after latest estimated time so all in all took 1hr 40 mins to arrive We were very disappointed.

Far from fast food, be prepared to wait about an hour and a half for delivery, don’t phone to see where your food is because no one will pick up the phone to you, this is not a one off either, and they don’t deliver after 9pm and close at 10pm, which is very strange for a takeaway, don’t bother to complain to yoyo either as they’re equally as useless.

Had *much* nicer pizza elsewhere and there are loads of places whose chicken is the same and often better than here. Fries were okay but even the coleslaw was cheap and nasty. Happy to leave this review safe in the knowledge it was our first and last order. Delivery driver was sound though.

Wouldn't recommend ordering from here. Loads of places do pizza much better than the pizzas available here, and the chicken is nothing special - most of it went in the bin, including nearly all of the pizza. That's twenty-three down the swannie with little to show for it. Won't be ordering again (first and last time).

Chicken burgers are really good, but wings were pretty dry and are in a soggy batter that just falls off. Popcorn chicken was really cheap (meat was mushy and more grey than white), so it went in the bin. Shame they weren't at the same standard as the burgers.

I remember ordering this coz the website ordered x2 Cheesburger Meals when I only asked in for one. Didn't let it go to waste however, and shoved the spare in the fridge to eat the next day. The donner was okay, but I've had better. The cheesburger I'm told was good, but the one I had (microwaved next day was kinda average at best - I put it down to the being microwaved though)

Today I bought 10 hot wings and large chios. When I got home the hot wings were so dry and hard like they had been sitting in the warmer the whole day. I called in to speak to the manager and I was told he has gone home. I told them my complaint and they said there is nothing they can do as they cannot see my order. I offered to bring back the hot wings and they to me that I am wasting their time and they will not accept the food back. They refused to give me any names and dropped the call o me. Such horrible customer service....bad food this time around!

2 hours late!! Then when I rang they just said drivers on the way.. 20 mins later food arrived. Chips were extremely soggy inedible like mash from all the condensation. Really pale. Same with the chicken. Requested a part refund and got refused because the shop was “busy” maybe don’t take orders if you’re that busy! Rather than people paying money expecting nice food to get extremely soggy food.

Ordered at 8pm, received at 10pm absolutely shocking service and the delivery driver even told us they was accepting orders from two stores even though one store wasn’t open.

Food is usually lovely from here. On this occasion the garlic bread was wrong. I paid extra for the garlic bread with cheese and mushroom but didn’t get that. Just garlic bread. It was cold and very greasy. The majority of the food was cold.

Food was great . Just a shame it turned up late again! My daughter had to have something else for tea, as it would of been too late for her to eat when it arrived! You guys really need to sort your delivery times/ staffing issues out!!

So this happened twice now. Within the order was two donner meat and chips. Neither came with chips. First time we passed off as mistakes happen. The second time in a row is just ridiculous. I rang up explained it happened twice, the guy I spoke to apologised. He was polite and said he would send out the chips. He rang me 45 minutes later and said the chips would be on the way and he will give us a free portion of chips. 50 minutes after we got the chips. The problem is that by then, both kids (6 years old) fell asleep on the sofa waiting. They didn't want to just eat donner since it's half a meal. It was a treat for them being good all week. They wanted to wait for the chips. We didn't think it'll be an hour and a half later we would receive them. We carried them to bed and they went to bed without tea. We ordered tea at 17:09. It didn't arrive till 18:31 and the chips didn't arrive till 20:01. We tried ringing to cancel the chips but couldn't get through. We didn't want to eat ours till the kids got theirs, so we had our tea reheated once they went to bed, the chips and donner were binned. It's gutting because crunchy chicken is one of my favourite takeaways. I didn't want to leave this negative review. They did try to make it right. An hour and a half to make it right was just too long. Food and money wasted. I hope they take on an extra driver because the food can alter from good to great. The customer service I got was polite. But the delivery time and the time the mistake was fixed is why I'm writing this review. After this experience, we won't be ordering from Crunchy again, sadly 👎

❓ Have you Tried.. 👉 Crunchy Chicken Mossley 📍 Manchester Rd, Mossley, OL5 9AB Driving home for Christmas thought I would make the detour to Crunchy Chicken. The shop was clean and they were very busy with online orders coming in one after the other. The guy who served me was really polite and helpful. I ordered the spicy chicken burger and 3 spicy wings. It's worth mentioning that if you want the proper dipped burgers then you must request this otherwise you will just get the sauce drizzled on top. (Not stated on the menu). My order came very fast and I was on my way. The #burger was drenched in that spicy sauce which was darker than others I have had in the past, the fillet was an average size. The bun was toasted (over toasted actually) which was a nice touch that you don't often see in fried chicken shops. It added a nice level of crunch to the burger, the slightly burnt edges didn't really affect it. The sauce had a really nice spicy kick, it had a mild smoky flavour and it was thickly coated. The batter was not too thick and really held that spicy saucy sauce well but still had some crunch. The chicken was really hot and tender there was just enough mayo but hardly any lettuce at all. Overall the burger was really nice albeit a bit on the smaller side compared to some places it hit the spot but left me wanting another one. 7/10 Spicy Wings The wings strangely were all different, how I do not know. One was very small and dry, another was crunchy and juicy and the third was crunchy, chewy and greasy. I would not call these spicy wings as I did not pick up on any spice. The coating was very good, it was crunchy and not too thick. Dipped in their house sauce would take these wings to the next level. 5.5/10 Overall great customer service and really nice chicken. I would recommend and would return. A slightly less toasted bun, more generous with the lettuce and those wings coated in their spicy sauce would make a big difference. But this is going in my top 3 in #Tameside.

App said it had been delivered . 15 minutes later we was still waiting for it ? Rang up and the guy was so rude , kept cutting me off and all his excuse was , there were a big football game on!! Life doesn’t stop cos of football! Strange that after I rang it then turned up, chips were horrible , like they had been warmed up and was days old, pizza was stone cold too! You’ve just lost a very good customer !!! Sort your attitude out and your food !!

Honestly my go to takeaway every time I want to order. The burgers are absolutely gorgeous and the wings are just the best. Only thing I would say I don’t like about it is no milkshakes but apart from the rest it’s honestly so good.

Wrong drink came and was late

First time we ever ordered from here so didn’t know about size of portions… we will order less next time IF we ordered again. Kids didn’t eat their popcorn chicken - maybe it doesn’t travel well after cooking but there was no crunchiness in any of the food. If it’s massive portions you’re after then this is the place.
