We were shown our table promptly. The eastern european waitress was very polite, helpful and efficient. I did not get her name. My wife and I used the meerkat 2for1 deal for our 2 meals. I had a lovely mixed grill including spicy chicken pieces, bbq spare ribs, grilled chicken breast, rump steak cooked rare as i requested. Along with mushrooms, a big pile of chips and a peppercorn sauce. A great meal. My wife enjoyed her rump steak. My son loved his soup, pizza and chocolate brownie as part of his childrens meal. Overrall a excellent experience.

Absolutely had amazing night celebrating my daughters birthday the staff are very friendly and nothing is never any trouble. Prompt and quick service. Seat by manager Jay who use to serve us most of the time. and made sure everything was great throughout our visit. Waitress was very efficient didnt catch there name. Will be back soon

We visited as a family of 8 and was served by a lovely waitress called carole. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Our drinks where refilled before we even had to ask. She was engaging with the children chatting with them longer than necessary. She advised us of special offers and the app which had some great savings.Carole was chatty and gave great service. An asset to the company.

We went on a busy Saturday around 5:30pm we waited around 15 mins for a table and I'm so glad we did. We loved the service as always very friendly and spot on. Food was amazing we can't wait to go back.

The recent reviews on here have it dead right - the food has gone completely downhill, not bad as such just very very ordinary and plain. There are no frills, no dressing no effort - everything looks like it has come off a saver menu which it certainly has NOT! Ice cream toppings were stale, chicken was anaemic looking and bland, calzone was though and the filling was just cheap nasty ham and cheese. What a shame, thus place used to be great.

What has happened to Frankie and Bennys lately? My family and I went for a meal and were very disappointed. The food was very average and was expensive for what we got. It was quiet for a Friday and we won't be going back. Perhaps everyone goes to Bella Italia now as the service and good is far superior in there.

Visited with my friends last week. Great value on happy hour cocktails purple rain is the best. There was a kids eat free sign outside so my friends daughter got her meal free which is always good to save a little cash.Our waitress jodie was very friendly and chatty also kept the little one entertained. Definitely recommend and will be back

Once again we visited here and was not disappointed. We where sat straight away and offered drinks which came quite quickly. The service was great we had a friendly chatty waiter but not overly friendly. The food was also very good and quite quick as they cook everything fresh to order. Definitely going again as our waiter gave us a voucher to use next time. So even better.

I visited with friends last week and I have to say our food was amazing... I ordered a steak cooked rare and it was perfectly grilled.. One of my friends had a pizza which was also yummy and my other friend had an oven baked salmon.. lovely freshly cooked food. The only fried food we had was the fries and these where hot and crispy. They have a great choice of menus including gluten free and low calorie options. Whatever your looking for something for everyone. Our waitress was lovely and chatty and gave us free refills on our drinks without us even asking. Would definitely recommend

Visited on a Saturday early evening. There was a £10 off voucher in the local paper to celebrate the refurbishment. There wasn't a noticeable difference in the decor, the menu seemed the same and aside from possible changes to the seating the restaurant looked the same as before. I ordered a buttermilk chicken burger and my fellow diner a calzone. I was informed some time after ordering that they had ran out of buttermilk, I requested a lasagne but they ran out of that too. I went with a chicken breast burger and was quite disappointed, a flat piece of meat which was slightly pink. The calzone wasn't fantastic and the meat tasted processed. In general i found the food to be of poor quality and over priced. I was surprised to see i had been charged for the buttermilk chicken I didn't have.

We eat here often and the staff are lovely to us each and every time we go. They have changed the menu and taken off what I normally eat however when I asked if it had gone they said it had however they could still make it for me. This was brilliant as I am a very picky eater. Prime time (weekend evenings) are busy which is what you would expect, if you like it less busy you should try it in the week.

Visited here in the afternoon after a trip to the cinema with my husband and children. We have been here several times but have found the service getting steadily worse. The restaurant was not busy at the time we visited but somehow the service was so slow, the staff were friendly enough but it did not make up for the pace of the service.We were seated straight away and ordered drinks which were brought to us immediately. Unfortunately, this is where things started to slow up. It took another 15 minutes for someone to come back and take our food order after this we did not receive our starters for another 20 minutes. Once we had finished the starters it again took ages for someone to remove the plates and even longer for the mains to arrive. By this point we had been there for 1 hour and a half. A member of staff eventually came and asked us would we like to look at the desert menu to which we said yes. After looking at this menu for another 15 mins with no sign of anyone coming back to take our order and my son starting to get a bit bored with sitting for so long, we decided not to have desert. We managed to attract the attention of another waiter to ask for the bill which we were able to pay promptly.I don't know if the restaurant if having staffing issues but waiting for this long is unacceptable.It is a shame too because the chain have recently updated their menu. Given the choice I would recommend other chains on Ashton Moss Leisure Park such as Bella Italia, Chiquitos or Nandos where the staff are much more attentive.

Really like it here, reasonably priced and you always get decent food and great service.Nice atmosphere, too loud for couples but great for friends or a work do.

Very family friendly, great food and lots of choice. I wouldn't choose this restaurant for couples but great for families. It's quite loud so you don't have to worry about the little ones making a racket!

The staff are pleasant and attentive.The food is good considering it's a chain, much better than the Harvester across the road.However the service is just so slow!Nearly 3/4 of an hour between ordering and getting our food. Our daughter was nearly asleep.When the food did come it was hot and tasty, so no complaints there.I hate to think what it would be like if it was busy.

This is a cut above the other Frankie and Benny's I have visited (and I have been to a lot as it's probably my favourite chain of restaurants) and I think it's because the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and I really like the way it's set out. The best night to go is Thursday because it's not too busy but lively enough to havea great atmosphere. If I have one gripe it's this, and it's for F & Bs in general - please provide more and better food for veggies - I don't always want a pizza!

After waiting 20 minutes for a table due to it being busy we were starving, we then had to wait a further 35 minutes for our main course, may I add other customers who arrived after us were receiving there food before we even had pure brought to us. It was then clear they had forgot about us as a few waiters exchanged glances and looked at our table to see we still didn't have any good, a manager then came and brought our food to us and the waitress who took our order then apologised for the wait. We then asked about free refills and she was very rude saying we don't do them and walked off, second problem at this restaurant and won't be returning!

We ate from the lunch menu. The food was average bordering on pleasant. This is a well-priced menu but we didn't finish with coffee as it's over-priced. I'd rather wait for a coffee at home than pay almost six pounds for two basic brews. Our male waiter was attentive and worked hard. Another male waiter was pleasant and professional. Over-all, this experience was more or less as expected and we would probably return. However, for the benefit of the management at this site we would like to draw your attention to the very poor attitude of the female waiter who met us. She led us to a very busy part of the restaurant and when we requested a quieter area her face did a very good impression of a slapped fish. She did not speak to us and lacked any semblance of customer service. She led us to another table and brushed a load of crumbs off one seat while leaving a similar pile on the other seat. This might also flag up some cleaning issues. On reflection, we should probably have left at this point. As we left, she was eating at the bar, so presumably she was hungry when she met us. Is this an excuse?

The only problem with this certain place is the male staff, an ego is definitely present and they seem to forget that there working at a food chain restaurant or in there case, "at work". Awful attitude, seemed more interested in my girlfriend which was pretty cute and eventually she found it very creepy. Food took over an hour, when I went to ask where my food was the fat bloke who looked like the manager ignored me until a nice lady came over, straight away after I asked about out food it arrived, the chips were rock hard and were definitely an old batch warmed up, but we was in a rush so I couldn't afford to spend more time complaining. Everywhere else has been amazing, it's such a shame that this one place could ruin it for all the restaurants. Oh and the bar staff couldn't even work the till, he needed the other guy to show him? That kind of sumed it up for me

Love frankie and bennys and this one is up to scratch. Fast service,polite staff reasonable prices. Clean restaraunt with a very warm welcome. Would defenitely eat here again.

Good food, welcoming and helpful staff, would recommend, there were 12 of us, decided to eat at the last minute after a afternoon of bowling, we had to wait 10 min so we could have a table together, the staff went out of there way to seat us asap.

We went to this restaurant a while back and did not have a very good time, decided it has been a while and to give it another go. Family of 4 adults went around 6pm ish mid week, we were seated straight away and the staff were great, friendly, cheerful, efficient, having a good laugh with the customers, we had two servers who were working as a team and both looking after us, so at no point were we left waiting, that said they didn't hassle and the whole meal was very relaxed. We had starters and mains and a round of drinks, would have loved a dessert but were too full. All the food was spot on, very nice. I would both recommend and return but my only slight criticism is the price for the four of us it came to £97, so therefore would only come as a treat, would like to come more often but wouldn't be able to afford it. As a family if we want to go out for a meal more regularly we go to for example Indian restaurants where you can have a lovely meal (as this one) without breaking the bank.

This was my first visit to this restaurant, I was really disappointed on the quality of the meat in the burger I was so looking forward to after a game of bowling, is seemed pale, and didn't look like it had seen a griddle plate at all not my cup of tea, the service was good, but its a shame about the food, we also ordered spicy onion rings which came normal and soggy, we did complain about them and they were replaced but to the same standard it was taken off the bill, but overall a disappointing experience.

We've been here quite a few times for lunch or dinner and generally it's ok. The service can be slow, especially at quieter times during the day. This was our first trip at breakfast. The menu has great choice but the food did not live up the description in the menu. It was overcooked and took over 20 minutes to come to the table. We also waited about 10 minutes for our drinks and one was forgotten.

Not a bad place to eat if you are at Ashton moss there are plenty of other places to eat so I think it is only average the food at most franky and bennys is usually of the same quality where ever you are

Absolutely amazing. First visit was the day before my birthday & what an amazing time I had, even having happy birthday sang to me. Second visit, your waitress Lauren could not be faulted & neither could your food. Well done team Ashton

thought the whole experience was a bit average .had a carbonara and garlic bread . not impressed , garlic bread greasy and drab but my brother likes it . mum and wife had pizza and quite enjoyed it . brother had burger type meal which seemed quite generous , wish I had chosen something else , unlikely to return . normally love carbonara

Visited early Friday evening before going to the cinema, orders the chicken pitta came absolutely smothered in a very sweet barbecue sauce making the pitta bread slimy. Ordered salad as a healthy option to chips, which came smothered in Mayo, very heathy! Drinks expensive a pint of larger £4.10 a pint and £2.65 for a regular coke , prices on par with London not the north of England! My son had the calzone again smothered in barbaque sauce (why is everything smothered in sauces) All in all, for what we got, it was expensive, food poor, drinks expensive, but the service was good, nice and pleasant chap. Would definitely not be returning.

Absolutely gorgeous meal..had the garlic mushrooms (best ever) and the meatballs penne (my favourite) Great service,lovely waiter, love the booths and my daughter agrees. Can't wait to go again ☺

Had a lovely time on Sunday eve, my waitress Becky was lovely, she made sure we was ok without being there too much, made us feel very welcome. We ordered two starters two meals plus a kids meal, a little while later I wanted the kids meal to arrive with our starters as the little one takes her time, that wasn't a problem, shortly after it arrived, for just under £5 for a kids meal we got a decent size portion along with a little mocktail drink which made my daughter feel grown up, plus she got a desert with it, it was definitely worth the money, they also brought over an activity book which was great aa my daughter gets restless in restraints. Then to top it off they has given me discount as I work at a branch on site, but I never asked for It as I felt cheeky, but Becky automatically did it as I was wearing my uniform, she didn't have to do it, but I thought it was lovely of her to go out of her way. Overall brilliant will be going again.

Most of the time it's nice , but some times it's bad . They have lots of offers on and a good drink choice . Breakfast is always nice

First he questioned which pizza my son wanted. Argued the toss then said 'you have it your way' !! When I tried to order my 18 yr old an alcoholic drink he ultra questioned it! Even questioned me, his mum!! Asked me did I know what a macchiato coffee was when I ordered one!!!?? Didn't leave a tip! Not going back!

Music is too loud in ashton branch, i dont like the general feel of the restaurant either, its too hectic. The food is average. I much prefer the denton branch, its cleaner, nicer staff and food is nicer which is crazy as they are a chain but thats what i felt.

We took my granddaughter there for he18th birthday. There we're omen good thin so about the restaurant . Service was excellent and the waiter attentive. The menu was extensive. However the evening was marred by the noise. The music was really loud and fm purse people people. to shouts on each other to,make themselves heard . The noise then was deafening.The food itself was nothing to write home about. I enjoyed buy Italians meatballs but the fish and chips were poor with the batter burned in places.All in all a disappoining experience.

If I could afford to we'd eat here every week, never once have we complained or disliked the food or service. Recommend you go any time, lots of offers on as well, open for breakfast too, but I think that might feel a bit weird :-)

I have been coming here for breakfast at Ashton moss F & B for the last year or so. I love it here you are always made to feel welcomed and the staff know there job. The food is very good quality and I'm always pleased with the breakfasts they serve. One of the waiters Carlos who works here always serves me and is second to none, providing impeccable elite service 100% of the time I take my hat off to you sir and to all the staff who work extra hard to facilitate your every need. I always had a fresh coffee and nothing is ever too much trouble. I would say f n b is well worth a visit any time of the day. I used to work in restaurant management years ago for a large outlet so I know what I'm talking about ;-) go visit and see for yourself.

I fort the food was great but was told 10minute wait and then we was seat we was waiting at the table for a further 25minutes before being approached by the waiter . This was the only negative I can say about my visit.

I've always enjoyed the food here but the starter could have been hotter as was only warm. The waitress was really friendly and even though they were really busy, the food came out quickly.

Me and my partner eat here often, we do however, only go and eat off the lunch menu as we find the normal menu very expensive. The staff are always pleasant and the food is always good. If you do have any comments or complaints then the staff are always on hand to help. We have never had a bad meal in the 3 years we have been going.

I usually visit here when going to the cinema on the retail park.It can be very busy at weekends but staff are always friendly and will find you a table.Menu has lots of choice and the breakfast in particular is great.Lunch time offer till 5 has a great choice and good value for money.

We have been ignored by waiting staff and have waited for more then 15 minutes to have our tables cleared, the waitress actually pretended not to see us. The prices are high sky for the amount of food you get ( for ex. a spoon of coleslaw in a tiny little black pot and 2 onion rings , haha) and the Asda vanilla cheesecake is a thousand times better than theirs.The only positive thing about the restaurant was the music, which sadly, is not the contribution of the staff. So avoid the restaurant in Denton, we will definitely never visit a Frankie and Benny's again, and will definitely share our unpleasant experience with all our friends.

went a couple of weeks ago good food but a bit pricey had the mixed grill 21.00 prices have deff gone up since the last time i was there could do with more room per table was a bit squashed but had a good night with friends waitress was helpful and pleasant

We go to Frankie and Benny's in Ashton a lot the staff are Always so polite and the food is great value for money I really would recommend this restaurant to everyone it really is a good family restaurant donna and George outhwaite

Didn't book but only had a short wait for a table on a Friday early evening. I had the mushroom starter, gnocchi tricolore and the heavenly cinnamon waffles for dessert. All high standard food and the waitress was lovely and helpful. Love this place and there is healthy stuff on the menu for when I'm being good.

Came here 8/2/15 with my partner and best friend for a late tea - was seated very quickly as usual.. Our waiter didn't take a drinks or food order until 15 minutes of being there, whilst waiting for the drinks we noticed there was cups paper and food that hadn't been cleaned from under the table before we sat we asked the waiter if we could move tables she popped off and came back 5 minutes later with a cleaner.. starters came out they were gorgeous as usual waiter asked if the food was ok in which we said was perfect.. plates and cutlery moved. Main meal was around 15 minutes later and wasn't presented with any new cutlery so my friend asked the waiter for some as the same time my partner realised there am was about 10 fries on the side of his plate so asked the waiter who brung him a complimentary bowl of fries to which there was still no knives and forks.. so my friend asked again could she have some cutlery only to get a huff and puff when we asked for some more napkins... my partner then spotted this waiter running to a manager and said she looked like she was complaining about us so I called the waiter over to explain what had happen from start to finish... The manager said the waiter said my partner was rude and swore at her in a abusive manner... At this point I was fuming we had been nothing but polite. The manager apologised and asked us over to the bar area for a chat and couldn't apologise enough and told us we wouldn't have to pay for what we had eaten already as we didn't even get to eat the mains... To be honest I wouldn't let this experience put me off going to Frankie and bennys we have been promised for the next visit to be worth our while we will defiantly be returning... The Waiter needs to work on her customer service skills and not lie about customers who were nothing but polite.

Fantastic and speedy service. Food and drink top notch as usual. Can't fault it. Beware it can be very busy weekend evenings.

I've been a fan of Frankie & Bennys at Ashton for a long time, but in the past 6 months I feel like its gone down hill.The service isn't the same as it used to be and I feel that it caters and cares more for the Birthday parties that come in - than the regular smaller parties.This particular night I went with my best friend for food before we went to the cinema.We walked in and waited to be seated, our waitress was really friendly and polite. She took our drinks order, which we waited about 15 minutes for.Once they arrived, the first drink was placed on the table - the waiter leaning over - tipped my full Pepsi all over me and the table. He was very apologetic but rushed off. Leaving us sopping wet and cleaning up what we could with our 2 napkins.Our original waitress came back and helped to clean up - by which point our shoes were soaked and sticky - due to it dripping through the split in the table. Asked do we want to move tables we said yes.We were then moved from our tucked away booth to the centre of the restaurant - me with wet jeans - very embarrassing.Our new waiter came over, knelt next to my friend and said "I've got a really good tip for you, go to the toilets, they have really powerful hand dryers so you can dry your clothes"...Thanks for that! From experience - the toilets are always stone cold and I haven't come here to stand in there drying my clothes. We weren't offered anything else to help dry off.We had our order taken and new drinks brought over.Our wait seemed to be surrounded by children that were wandering round, almost tripping over waiters and us trying to talk over the loud music and us jumping every time they slam the tray stands down next to you.Our food was lovely, never seem to be let down by the portion sizes or the taste.At the end of the meal, we had to make our way to the cinema - so we asked for the bill.We have cinema cards so we produced these along with the bank card we were paying on.The waiter then let us know that he had given us our drinks free (the replacements) as a 'good will gesture' - so we couldn't use our cinema discount card too. At this point we were so annoyed and argued that it was through no fault of our own that the drink was dropped.He walked away and came back with an amended receipt.I emailed F&B's and I was given a voucher in return - the only bad thing is - that I have to spend it in the restaurant! I think I will try the new Denton branch, Ashton is a no go these days!

Hi took my soon to the new one on the retail park in Denton on Saturday around 12.30 it was only half full but was asked to go the bar while the cleared some tables. 10 minutes later I was sat down where we pushed in to ordering dough balls while we were ordering. My son ordered gammon egg and chips that he liked and I ordered a BBQ burger. Ten minutes passed and over came someone else's order oops so when I did get my burger it was ok but the bun fell apart as if it was stale and the little gem lettuce had seen better days. I will post picture. Give it a miss for a few months if I was you.

We came today with 29 children and 5 staff. The food was amazing and the children had a brilliant and positive experience. The manager and staff could not do enough for us. Would recommend to all diners and groups. Thank you

Overall this place made it an amazing night out. All the staff were freindly and showed excellent customer services, espically the bar staff. The food was yummy and the atmosphere was great!! Will be going again!!

We visited this restaurant with our three Grandchildren in December 2014. This is the second time we have eaten here, it is one of the children's favourite restaurants. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough for families, especially birthday celebrations. The staff are wonderful and genuinely seem to enjoy their work. The food is good quality and excellent value. It is a very busy restaurant so I would advise booking in advance.

We had to wait 50 minutes for a table but was worth it as the food was delicious. We had cheese garlic bread, mushroom starter, gnocchi/pasta/pizza and sundaes for dessert....All of which were polished off.the service was excellent...very efficient and friendly waitress.at less than 60 pounds for the three of us we thought it was excellent value and will definitely return.

It was very friendly waitress and the foods were yummy and we had a great fun there and I cant say anymore and the prices were reasonable. If we were there again we go there again.

We have to go here every year for my sons' birthday because he likes the fact that the music stops and everyone sings Happy Birthday to him. I will be glad when he is old enough to realise a sparkler and a song doesn't make a good place to eat.Don't get me wrong, the food is perfectly edible but that's as far as it goes. There is nothing at all special about this place aside from the price of the drinks. But I suppose that's where the places make a lot of money..wet sales.Would I recommend it....can't say I would. I think Frankie would say relax and Benny would be eating next door at Nandos

Went today for a lunch meal with my partner and 3 kids, we come here at least twice a month and never have I been so appauled by the way the man served us! Drinks never came so had to chase it up myself, half the food we ordered didnt turn up, i got the BBQ cajun skewers, never tasted them like this ever before, under cookered and the waitress completly messed everything up,so 3 of us ate while 2 had to sit and wait 10 minutes for them to sort our order out!! Regardless of the discount I wont be visiting this branch again anytime soon

My partner & I visited here for a late lunch. The waiter serving us was lovely although he seemed to be manning the restaurant by himself until more staff appeared later on. As we were seated in between to two lots of people (although the rest of the restaurant was empty at that point) the two other parties both complained about their food, so things weren't looking great but we gave it a chance. The starters were a mixed bag, BBQ chicken wings were delicious, however the ratio of my bruschetta was all wrong, far too many onions and only a tiny dribble of balsamic sauce. For the mains I had pizza which was fine but my partner had a hot dog which had no BBQ sauce and the onions were raw and not fried like specified in the menu. The waiter rectified this for us. We decided to skip dessert as we weren't overly impressed with the food. It came across quite lazy. In the past I have enjoyed meals here so not sure if they were having a bad day.

After going to see a great film at the cinema across from this place we went in and waited about 25 mins for a table (they have the hand monitors to let you know when a table is free). For a Sunday night it was busy but the service was spot on, we had a lovely girl called Ruby who said she was locating to another branch so sadly wont see her again, she was polite and helpful though. Food was nice and hot and very tasty. I do think the drinks were pretty dear but for some this may not be a problem, (pint of stella) cost £4.10 each. I would go again but only as a treat and not just for a cheap weekly type meal. I would also add that there are good parking for car drivers and plenty of other choices around for dinning and the area also includes a bowling ally.

It's very rare i write a 'terrible' review about somewhere, as i work in the hospitality industry myself and i know how overly critical the public can be sometimes.First of all, every single member of staff that was working the night i visited needs a good lesson in Customer Service, or even just manners. I am absolutely appalled at how they passed an interview to work in a Restaurant/Bar but i will get to that later in my review.We were seated right in front of the gantry when we came, that was no issue to us to begin with as a few of us had come for a meal and drinks from my workplace on a very rare night off that we all get together. If i talk about the food i will be writing this review for a long time. In a nutshell the Food was disgusting. The food tasted as though it was cooked in a dirty oven, im sure people will understand that kind of permeated taste on something cooked in a dirty oven. The food was no big issue as i am a firm believer in 'you get what you pay for'.. however you do pay for an edible meal and good service at the end of the day. Wetherspoons is a lot cheaper and their standards are a lot higher than this Restaurant! The food wasn't what drove me to complain, as i was eating my meal i could see one of the chefs swearing at his colleagues at the top of his voice, not only that but i could also see him wiping the sweat off his forehead and then (without washing his hands) handling food, disgusting. Whilst this was taking place i went over to the bar to order a cocktail with my friend, what happened next was the final straw and the snapping point for me. I asked the girl behind the bar for a drinks menu, her reply being 'Well what type of drinks menu, normal or cocktails' at this point i had had enough of the shocking service, I am a friendly person and was quite shocked that a member of staff who is supposed to be friendly with customers was speaking to a paying customer in this way.I just turned to my friend and said forget it.I asked one of the waitresses for the manager, so he came over and i explained all the incidents that had happened, i explained how my meal and my friends meal was inedible as it was still sat there, he agreed with me on this and offered to refund the meal. I then proceeded to tell him i worked in the industry and i was shocked to see his staff working with the general public with such a bad attitude, he told me it was out of character and he would have a word with her, well lets face it if you can't leave your problems at the door when working with customers then don't bother coming into work. He also said he had spoke to the chef in question. Overall i feel the managers were inexperienced, he seemed to have a grin on his face the whole time i was complaining, probably because i am young, but i can honestly say that if the staff had the work ethic they have and worked in my restaurant then they wouldn't last a week. Also look out for hair in the food as we found not 1 but several strands of hair in my friends meal in which the manager said it was my friends. Sorry but what kind of a manager has that unprofessional approach to dealing with a complaint? I wasn't going to stand there and play the blame game.Avoid this place as it is a complete waste of time and money!

If you like these themed places then you won't be disappointed. Cheesy music, happy servers, lots of unhealthy but tasty food, lots of choice of beer if you like lager and relative quick service(it was Wednesday evening in Manchester, but not raining surprisingly). You get what you pay for and it didn't disappoint.

Went on a Saturday night after a movie, it was very busy had to wait approx 25 mins for a table so waited in bar area, took awhile to get served at bar all 3 bar staff looking after a group of girl's at bar !!!(same party) Shown to a decent table, Waitress was very nice, she took our order quickly _ food arrived quite quickly too ,although she forgot my side order. I had the steak & fries it was good steak cooked just as I wanted, watercress dressings had seen better days ! My husband had chicken dish with cheese sauce & pulled pork he enjoyed it. Decent portion sizes & hot food. No desserts \ coffee!

Excellent food, shame the waitress's let this branch down! Not good service when the waitress is practically sitting on my boyfriends knee taking our order and flirting with him. Will never visit this branch again.

We go 2 f&bs as a treat once a month however we went this afternoon 4 the lunch time specials, it was terrible! No atmosphere it took almost 2 hours just 2 have soup pizza & ice-cream, the staff seemed 2 squabble infron of customers like it was normal!! Defo won't b going back thru the day will b a night visit when the place is more welcoming

I have visited this frankie and benny's several time always been very good but after tonight i can honestly say i won't be going back. First of all we was sat down then had to wait 10mins for a drinks to come,Then had our starters come which i did enjoy but my girlfriend said hers was very poor and tastless, then the mains come out i had the cheese burger which i always have it came out and it was raw had 2 bites then left it was awful, my girlfriend had carbonara which she said was bland and watery then after the meal asked for another drink as it was free refills and had to wait 10-15min which in the end i asked for the bill so i could leave then the bill came with the drinks i ordered and i asked for pepsie and they gave me diet pepsie had 1 sip and left.

Called in for breakfast last Saturday and considering the place was less than a quarter full, the noise level was incredible. The music is just slightly too loud, so everyone has to speak up to be heard over the top of it. Bit much first thing in the morning! The service was quick and the food good, they even cooked my eggs exactly as I wanted them. Excellent coffee too. We would probably go back, but only if we were feeling brave about the noise.

we went 13th August for a family birthday celebration, staff helpful, seated straight away, asked if ready to order but when said could we have a couple more minutes the waiter went and did not came back, the time ticked on and we had to ask could we order after an extensive wait, one of our party ordered the steak which was tough and not very nice, rest of food was good, it was ok but we have been before and had better food and service, feel on balance that this time we did not get good value for money as the bill mounts quite quickly here.

First time visit to Frankie and Bennys Ashton. went on a Monday night when there is 25% of food Staff friendly and food was tasty and served quickly considering the restaurant was so busy. Look forward to going back.

Truly awful place. Food is tasteless and plastic. Not sure what on earth they're doing here. It's all aimed at kids, no thought for adults. Also very expensive. I won't go again.

I came into the restaurant on the 12/07/2014 with my son & stepdaughter. We were waited on by a lovely waitress called Jackie. Nothing was too much trouble. She checked our food was to standard & I noticed the lady next to us had said something re her food & she went to sort it with no fuss. When our glasses were empty she asked us would we like a refill despite her being extremely busy. Many thank you's to her. The food was lovely once again. Will be back soon x

Took 17 of family for night out, food arrived in batches, some eaten whilst others waiting, chefs arguing, Chicken meal returned twice bloody and raw. In the end had a meal which was not wanted. A relative paid for drinks prior to visit, the drinks were not forthcoming, Will never visit again, got £50 voucher after complaining, but spent £151 on rubbish food and service. and still awaiting results of refund for drinks not given. Complete shambles. Management that night was non-existent.

Our first visit here . Great value lunch menu with plenty of choices including pasta ,pizzas ,burgers and some healthier salads as well as traditional fish & chips. The music was nostalgic 1960s,lively and particularly appreciated by our Mum. We had very attentive service from Lydia. It is situated very conveniently for the cinema complex and close to tram route.

It's a chain of restaurants and unlike others on the high street f&b's does it very well. We have eaten twice at the Ashton restaurant and although it's always very busy we always have a good meal. The only down side is the bar area is small and busy with people waiting for tables. The bar is always covered in used glasses and you have to wrestle your way in to get a drink. All in all a good place to eat.

Went for a family meal. It was fairly early evening - around 5pm. Staff were very friendly, but the food was distinctly average. One of our party had pulled pork sandwich/burger and it just looked like a lot of slop. Pretty overpriced for fast food. It wasn't my first visit, but it's probably my last.

Got seen to straight away.waiting for a friend so orderd a cup of tea.got told that my teaspoon would arrive shortly but its still not here after 15 mins so put sugar in and stirred it with my fork.menu looks good place looks clean and tidy so hope the foods nice.oh dear burnt food ie potatoes.garlic bread.the main meal took 30 mins to come and we got here at 4.30.the drinks took another 15.

This was our first visit to Frankie and Benny’s and certainly not the last. Apart from the restaurant being filled with children (and the ‘happy birthday’ song being played 4 times during our visit), we were able to enjoy a fantastic meal. The staff were very friendly and we received our food and drinks within 10 minutes, which was great considering there were 8 of us. £30 for 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 cokes and 1 cider – excellent value for money! Very happy overall, would recommend.

Service was good but the food was awful. A slab of chicken with a slice of cheese fired on top with some bbq sauce. Just looked like a dodgy burger with the buns removed. Tasted like yesterdays food re-heated. My other half had chicken skewers which were burn to the point of being crunchy and the peppers we not edible as they were so toasted. 2 mains, one starter, a water and bear > £40. Thats crazy to me. McDonalds would have been better food and cheaper.

Fairly average food at a fairly average price. Good service. You get what you pay for here. I would go back again with no great expectations

We took three generations of mums for a treat. Knew it would be busy so booked two weeks ahead. Disappointingly we were kept waiting 30 mins for our table so I did complain. We were given a free round if drinks by way of apology, and our waiter was excellent and also got us two half price meals too. Although the food is slow in coming out we couldn't fault the quantity or quality. We gada good evening and they finished it off with a free bottle of wine each for the three mums.

I had lunch with my children and our friends and their children. The staff were attentive and polite. I ordered a burger which was good but not excellent and a coffee which was very good although strangely they had run out of jugs for the milk so were serving it in a cup which naturally spilt when you were trying to pour the milk. The children had pizzas which they did not seem to like which is unusual for children, apparently the cheese wasn't very nice. In summary it was an average meal and I would not rush back again.

F&B is notoriously slow service but today was one of the quickest. No waiting for a table for five and rapid service by our waiter. The only problem is that English was obvious not his first language and he was barely understandable and confused light option for large! Other than that, it was so noisy and we couldn't have a Cesar salad as they had no dressing! Worst point? Smokers in the doorway - all the smoke blowing back into the restaurant!W

I always enjoy Franky and Benny's food, I generally can't fault it! Tonight was great as always with Dough Sticks to start, Meatball Canzone for main and Bonoffee Brownie for desert with a diet Pepsi totalling at £17 you can't complain!I enjoy the atmosphere, a real family friendly restaurant! If you don't want to see families enjoying themselves, even with young children, then don't go to a family restaurant!My only jibe with Franky and Benny's, this one included, is that although the staff are friendly and mostly helpful, the service is slow! It's always busy, buy there never seems to be quite enough staff on!But if you are not in a rush and want good food for a decent price this restaurant is a good choice!

Restaurant is always busy, so is best to book beforehand!Staff are friendly and helpful! But wish there weren't so many kids!New menu recently which has plenty of new additions which makes it even better than usual!DEFINITELY recommend the 'bread and olives' as a starter! Best we've ever had in a restaurant!!Food is always great here, so we come quite often.However, we are disappointed that the 'cookies and cream sundae' dessert has been taken off the menu! That was our favourite part of the meal!

pricey average food with rubbish service , the only good thing this place is good for is kids birthday parties hence the happy birthday song on every 5 minutes

Visited recently with my daughters and a friendVery busy (Sunday lunchtime) but we were seated very quicklyWaited awhile for drinks but a very rushed waitress was lovely and apologetic3 of us had a burger and one had a wrap. Found the burger (6oz) a bit too much meat for me but thats just my personal taste. Meal was hot and tasty, and the desserts were lovelyAll in all a pleasant visit with very friendly staff ( all saying bye as we walked out), would visit again

We've been her a couple of times now on New Years Day for a family lunch and it's been great each time. The staff are friendly and helpful and the place seems efficiently run - the food arrived really quickly. Nice atmosphere, good place to take the kids. Been to a few F&B's but this is by far the best we've been to.

My friends were happy with their orders and left feeling stuffed after the massive desserts too. However, despite booking the table over a month ago, we were asked to wait ten minutes for it to be cleared. Also the high chair I requested over the phone was forgotten about. It was incredibly busy for 4:30pm but food came at a reasonable time.

Pleasant staff and good service. The food lets it down - the big breakfast has been around a while (we had ordered at 1030). The eggs benedict hadn't seen honey roasted ham it was cheap 'plastic' type ham and the eggs were not soft poached they were hard.

Pros: We got served quickly, and our main course was ready after 5-ish minutes! Friendly staff, loved the music that was playing, loved how the place looked, very cool; great atmosphere and our dessert was AMAZING (we got an East Coast Sundae to share)!Cons: For my main course I got Meatballs on Spaghetti. The menu didn't inform me that the meatballs had green peppers inside them (I REALLY don't like peppers), so it wasn't the most pleasant surprise. I still quite liked it for the first half of the dish or so, but for some reason, after that it suddenly turn not-very-nice and I just couldn't finish it. They managed to redeem themselves with the dessert though, and I liked everything else about the restaurant :)Overall, I would definitely return, but would get a different main course. I went hope happy and full, so I have a positive view of the restaurant.

We have been here a few times and decided to go for a meal with the children and our nephew and his partner. We didnt wait too long for somewhere to sit but then had to push our way through far too many people crampt intp the space. The food was ok but not worth what we ended up paying.

We came here for our sons birthday. He had chosen here and was looking forward to it.On arrival we were taken straight to a table. We were given several menus. Too many to be honest! We had trouble deciding. On ordering our drinks, I asked for a red wine. My choice given by the waiter was a bottle or large glass. So I chose a glass. When the bill arrived it cost £6.75 for my glass of wine!! Ridiculous amount of money for a glass of wine that was definitely not a large glass! The food was ok. Nothing to get excited about. We have eaten better and paid less. We could have eaten at a local Italian near home and had better quality food. The waiters are keen and pushy to sell you side dishes and extras. We will not be returning anytime soon. Sorry but you are expensive and only average food. Waste of money.

I have eaten here quite a few times over the years ... family birthday and just for a night out.... it used to be good and food was alway nice . Unfortunatly the last 2 times i havnt enjoyed it the food was not nice !!! Last food i had the Chips taste burnt, bbq wrap was smoored in bbq too much i found it hard to eat.... really want the food to improve again because the music and atmospher is good and makes it a fun time evening out !!!

We have been to F&Bs for breakfast quite a few times and they are great. A lot of choice on the menu and they are only £5. Service can be a bit slow but overall really nice.

Frankie and Benny's has only recently opened in Oldham, on the old Elk Mill site in Royton. We have visited their Ashton Moss Restuarant many times and really do like their pizzas. We have visited their new restuarant twice now and the food, service and ambience are excellent and I am sure that I will be visiting them again in the not too distant future.

Now I love the menu at f&b's but am often left disappointed wither by the staff, service or quality of the food. Pleasant surprise in this occasion, all three were fab!!! My friend and I were left wondering when it was all going to go wrong.Can't fault you at F&B's in Ashton! Keep up the good work!!!

We both had the £9.25 meal deal and enjoyed it very much. The service was quick and the waiter was polite and helpful.

Went to the Ashton under Lyne branch as a birthday treat for one of our kids, had to wait ages for a booked table, ages for a drink whilst waiting, ages for our order to be taken and then ages for the food. Music way to loud, food poor, bland - I had a prawn cocktail that had four prawns in it and looked like someone had splatted relish and mayonnaise randomly on some limp lettuce. My chicken salad was tasteless and the chicken was overcooked. The waiter was rude and abrupt and unhelpful. The toilets had no soap to wash your hands at all in either the gents or the ladies. All in all over priced, poor customer service and generally wouldn't recommend. have eaten in other branches where the whole experience was completely different. Was a real shame :(

I'm not normally a fan of chain restaurants but I've found Frankie & Benny's restaurants to be quite consistant, so we do occasionally eat here.The food is flavoursome (though can be a bit stodgy), the staff are always polite, energetic and attentive, and the atmosphere is always lively. Last weekend, my partner and I took advantage of an offer that boasted 2 courses for around £10. Although this appears to be quite good value, I did find that the menu for this offer didn't really present me with anything I couldn't have easily prepared at home. The dishes (both burger meals) were full of classic flavours and the portion sizes were generous enough that neither of us finished our meal. No complaints about the food itself. We did find, however, that where we'd expected the bill to be quite small because of the offer we used, any benefit had been obliterated by the cost of the drinks, which was quite disappointing. I have heard from several different sources that tips given along with an electronic transaction are shared between all staff, rather than just the serving staff. Not agreeing with this practice, I always endeavour to tip in cash, but was told by our waitress that she wasn't allowed to accept cash tips. This did unfortunately mean that I didn't leave a tip. My only other (very picky) comment would be that I left the restaurant smelling like I'd been deep fried - possibly some better ventilation should be looked into?
