Second visit to Rockleigh Takeaway and managed to have the Beef Stroganoff this time. Delicious it was too. As was the Thai Fish Curry. Really enjoyed it and generous portion too.

Amazing freshly cooked food at reasonable prices, ready in 15 minutes. Cannot recommend highly enough. We will definitely be coming back here!

WOW! We’ve been visiting Woolacombe for many years and always wanted to try this takeaway. We finally managed it, beef strogonoff to die for! So good, we took three home with us, it was absolutely delicious. I also had the apple and ginger pudding and my husband had the chilli and rice with a sticky toffee pudding, out of this world. So good we’re trying to work out how we can get some more. I’m trying to find out if they do a delivery service.

Really friendly and quick service. Quantity and quality of the food was excellent. Had a number of different dishes off the menu. All great standard. This place is alittle gem and should not be missed. Thoroughly recommend.

Tried here on holiday as didn’t feel like cooking or an expensive restaurant . We had different 3 choices all of which were completely delicious, reasonably priced and better than pretty much anything we ate elsewhere. Highly recommend and the chap who served us was friendly and charming!

We phoned in advance and within 15 mins we were able to collect our bolognese nachos, chilli and rice, ginger and apple pud and boy oh boy was it good. Best takeaway food we have had across this whole area whilst on holiday. Proper cooking.

Ordered a couple of curries with rice and chocolate brownies for afters. Cooked to order straight away and ready to collect in 10 minutes. Comes in plastic lidded trays in a brown bag. Tasted great just like home cooked food. Nice and simple food well done. Would definitely recommend.

We have regularly stayed at Warcombe Farm for quite a few years. We would alway get takeaways from here and the food was always delicious. We ordered a takeaway a couple of days ago. I had my usual Chicken Curry and it was just too tangy. It had all the same ingredients that they used to use but it was so tangy I couldn't eat it. Also the Pasta Bolognaise was not great either. It didn't have a rich tomato taste just a meaty taste. My husband did enjoy his Thai Curry. I hate giving bad reviews but if they made the chicken curry less tangy like it used to be, it would be delicious.

Different menu from the norm for a take away but the fact we have been twice on our week off and plan to go again says it all! Pub food for nearly half the cost. We ate on the coastal path which was the holiday high light for me. Great portions too.

Being coming to Mortehoe / Woolly for years. In recent times spending the whole summer here. How did we miss this little gem. Lovely food and lovely people. We will definitely be back...great value and delicious!

Fabulous food at a reasonable price. We had a selection of meals and puddings all of which were absolutely delicious. Home cooked and healthy food which made a refreshing change from the standard “pub grub” available elsewhere. Service was very efficent and all good packaged in recyclable packaging.

Visited after reading the great reviews, and the chippy next door was soooo busy. Glad we did. Had the Thai Chicken Curry, Pasta Bolognese, and Ginger and Apple Pudding. Really nice home cooked food, quick and friendly service. Would definitely recommend a visit or two or three !

Ordered two course take away meal for the three of us. We all had different dishes and we all thoroughly enjoyed this freshly cooked food. The service was very friendly and efficient and the cook popped out to check if the vegetarian dish was for vegetarian or vegan. We would eat from here again and definitely recommend.

We bought food for a child with a dairy and soya allergy. They were extremely helpful with determining which meal which would best fit her and were very friendly. The food tasted delicious - she wolfed it down! Thank you :)

This place is genuinely very very good. We’ll not be bothering with other local pubs / restaurants over our stay. Our takeaway was outstanding.

We had food from this lovely place twice during our stay. The smell as you go in to order is totally mouthwatering and I could have easily had one of everything off the menu! The gentleman taking our order was incredibly friendly and helpful, helping us to coordinate our food from there with an order from the chippy next door! We had Nachos the first night which were great - I was a little sceptical wondering how take away nachos would work but I needn’t have worried. They came in a cardboard cartoon fully laden with tasty chilli beef, sour cream and tomato salsa! On our second visit we tried the beef stroganoff (huge portion and very tasty) and my husband had to have the nachos again (as they were so good first time round!). We struggled to find places to eat in woolacombe as pubs were either too busy or not serving food!!! Turns out it was the best thing as the food from Rockleigh was excellent - I would definitely recommend getting your evening meal from this establishment 😁

I’m on holiday and Today I visited rockleigh takeaway. I had braised beef which was beautiful. Times are perfect. Would advice ring up before open.

A real gem in this beautiful little village. Mortehoe is quiet little village with a gentle buzz and Rockleigh's is a welcome addition.

We were staying close by and so decided to try this takeway. The choice was so much better than your usual takeaway- it was so good to see things other than chicken nuggets and chips for children. The people waiting next door for fish and chips were being told it would take at least an hour. Our food was ready within 15 minutes. It was so good that we came back again before our holiday ended. The chocolate brownies in particular were delicious.

There were 8 of us (including kids) with varying dietary needs and preferences. Every single one of us loved the food, it was presented really well, lots of it and tasted delicious. The staff were lovely. Will definitely come back next year.

We first came here in 2020 at the end of the first lockdown and loved it. Now making a much longer for return to Devon we made a point of getting our dinner from Rockleigh after a long day on the beach. We were not...

After many years of visiting the area we decided to try the Rockleigh takeaway. We were not disappointed , excellent food with excellent service, only wished we had tried them years ago but will be in the future.

Nice little find- great food. Happened to stumble across this on their last day of opening for the season. All dishes excellent and one to definitely try in 2022.

Every year I look forward to the Rockleigh opening. If I need a treat, it’s the first thing I think of. Amazing food and lovely people. Highly recommend it.

Usually come here for a cream tea when in the area, this year due to covid not so great. I am glad it is open and we stayed for cream tea with our grandchildren - they loved the cakes. Its a shame the scones were...

A really great menu providing something different than pizza or fish and chips. We pre- ordered ringing up with our order and was given a time slot to pick it up. Very friendly service with delicious food. Highly recommend a visit.

We have had food from here every year that we come down and this year was no exception. The food continues to excel and the options are wonderful. This year I made some suggestions about how to improve their ingredients menu to help people like me who have allergies. I was delighted when it was taken on board. A fantastic establishment serving home cooked meals of great value and to a high standard. A real oasis in the desert with the 2 local pubs not serving food on the Monday and Tuesday when we were staying in Mortehoe. All 4 adults ordered different meals by ‘phone and were given a time to collect in 30 minutes. Payment was by a link sent in minutes. Our meals were ready at collection time. The staff were both friendly and welcoming.The food was fresh, hot, very tasty and huge portions. A great change to the normal chips and pizza takeaways.Well worth a visit and we obliged with a 2nd order later in the week!Excellent!

We have had takeaways from Rockleigh many times over the years, it never disappoints. The menu is a little limited but the food on offer is delicious, generous portions and freshly cooked. I would definitely recommend.

Amazing takeaway serving delicious home cooked food at reasonable prices. Our family of five had five different mains and all 3 puddings and they were all really good, served hot and in generous portions. Service was friendly and efficient — menu is online, ring up on the day (from 10am) with your order and arrange a collection time (between I think 5-830pm); they text you a link for payment and you’re good to go. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

As we were staying at a nearby holiday park which had a very uninspiring restaurant menu and a ludicrously small fridge in a self-catering caravan we were really pleased to discover this place - especially as food could be ordered and paid for online. I had a Beef Stroganoff and a Sticky Toffee Pudding dessert; both were very good and resonably priced. I'd recommend this place to anyone staying around Mortehoe or Woolacombe

Great honest food in a nice, neat takeaway format. We had the spicy Thai curry, Bolognese, Nachos and chicken curry. All of the meals were a delight and the gentlemen serving us was so welcoming and nice. We forgot to get cutlery so we had to go back and the owner re-opened to help us out. Well worthy of a visit if you fancy a takeaway without chips!

Absolutely perfect! We were welcomed by a friendly gentleman who said food would take about 20 minutes so we had a drink in the pub over the road while we waited. The food was really hot and delicious. We had Spanish chicken and chorizo pasta and chilli con carne followed by chocolate brownie and sticky toffee pudding. The food was gorgeous and the packaging well thought out. We even had clotted cream to go with dessert. It felt like a luxury but also not like a usual greasy takeaway. Would highly recommend!

We thought we'd struggle to get a takes at short notice, called them on phone on a Saturday at 6.45pm, ordered, they sent a payment link, paid and drove to pick up at 7.10pm...easy and more importantly great food, huge portions and wonderful home cooked flavours. I had the Thai Green Fish Curry and my father had the vegetable tagine...I've been many times over the years and it never disappoints. While people queue outside the fish and chips I just walked in and picked up my order...thank you and I wish you continued success, you deserve it. Well priced as well, fed two of us for £18.90

Wow completely unexpected the food was fab we ordered twice during our camping holiday and the food was so tasty very reasonably priced and we found they were very efficient our food was waiting for us when we arrived . It’s lovely healthily takeaway it makes a change from the usual fish ad chips or pizza ect .

Don’t really write reviews but after the service and food we received thought it would be best.The menu is great, not many cater for dairy and gluten free options but Rockleigh does. Ordered over the phone, arrange a time and sent a link to pay straight away. At the collection time the food was ready and waiting for us and still hot when back at the camp site (Twitchen House). Food was really good and cannot recommend this place enough and will be back again.

Customer service was great as well as amazing food. Definitely recommend. Great value for money. Fresh and homemade food. Definitely worth the visit.

After walking back from Woolacombe, up the steep hill, the Sticky Toffee Pudding was a perfect pick me up.

We bought food on two nights. The beef stroganoff was excellent. The Thai fish curry was good, although a bit spicier than some would like. The sticky toffee pudding was a good choice. The staff are friendly and efficient. When we went, they were only open three evenings and were about to close for the winter.

We were staying with our daughter, her partner and granddaughter on a camp site nearby. The food was very good and very tasty. Excellent meal

We stayed at a caravan site locally and wanted some food for our last night that wasn't chips! We had a chicken curry and a beef stroganoff, then a toffe pudding for desert. It was all delicious. My only criticism is that I wanted more! Thank you!

We ordered Beef Stroganoff x4, Sticky Toffee Pudding x4 with clotted cream & Chocolate Brownie x 2 with clotted cream which all absolutely fabulous ..... great service from Mark & Dee - the food was piping hot , presented beautifully and each dish labelled accordingly! My family all remarked that this was the best take away we had ever eaten - you really must try the food here We spoke with Mark & Dee the next morning who were both very charming people and gave us a good insight into their family run business - we will be back for sure Keep up the great cuisine ,

Mark and Dee and the team continue to offer very tasty takeaway food during these trying Covid times. We are regular visitors to Mortehoe and have never seen them so busy, due in part to the huge increase in staycations in 2020 plus the fact The Ship Aground pub is closed and many of the campsites are not serving their usual food offerings. Mark and Dee appear to be working hard and are opening seven days a week to keep up with demand.An excellent effort to keep the visitors happy and I hope they have made some money although I am sure they do it for enjoyment. It is cleat they have many friends they have met over the years and I hope they continue to provide a great service for years to come.

Out of this world food - at the end of a two week holiday you start to feel a little tired of eating out sometimes, but this was like having a true home cooked meal. Good wholesome food, tasty and was ready at the right time. I think they were quite busy so from the time we ordered to the time we picked up was a little while, but this suited us as we didn't want to eat early. I note however from the website that you can order earlier in the day so there is always that option if you are organised (unlike us!). We are hoping to holiday in this area again next year and this will be top of our list of places to eat. Good value for money too :o)

Drove past this takeaway while staying in a nearby caravan park so thought I would look it up . It had good reviews and the menu looked nice so on our last night of the holiday we decided to try it. I rang and ordered chilli, curry and chicken and chorizo pasta for mains and sticky toffee pudding and brownie for pud. Paid easily via a link sent to my phone and arrived at collection time 5 min early and it was ready for us. The portions were very generous and myself hubby and 2 young boys enjoyed all of it. We are on holiday in Devon nr to Woolacombe and spotted Rockleigh on our drive back from the beach. The menu is all 'home cooked' food, the owner staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The food tastes delightful and is reasonably priced too. Lovely lovely lovely. We found the takeaway during a walk from Woolacombe to Mortehoe. Our group ranged from 14 to 54 and there was something for everyone. It was brilliant to find a takeaway without chips on the menu! The food was lovely, the desserts were amazing all served with clotted cream. Would highly recommend.

So nice to find a take away in a small village that does something other than fish and chips. Great home cooked food and they have a fantastic menu for people with allergies. We found this little gem by chance after trying to find somewhere to eat in Woolacombe and failing because it is so busy everywhere due to it being August and COVID so lots of reduced seating in restaurants, social distancing etc . We drove through mortehoe and spotted this advertising home cooked food to take away so we ordered and waited only 15 minutes and then sat in the hill behind the car park over looking the sea. We then had this 2 more times on our holiday and took it down to the beach Much better than sitting in a restaurant ( although that’s dependant on weather) They also do a range of puddings, which like the main courses, are absolutely delicious.

Would highly recommend, food was lovely and just what you need to save you from cooking. The sticky toffee pudding was delicious.

Had two takeaway meals during the week and both were excellent. After the main course which was divine, its hard to get any better but then you taste the puddings and its hard to describe the heavenly taste. Staff were very friendly and resolved small issue very quickly. Definately recommend as a take away. Due to COVID didnt have chance to sit in but I am still young.

We had a takeaway tonight and it was absolutely delicious. We had chicken curry, beef chilli and 2 kids bolognaises. They were all lovely and the puddings were 10/10. What a great idea to do home cooked food as a takeaway. Wish we had this takeaway at home

This was a very tasty surprise. Portions are lovely and generous. I wish we had tried this last year! Food took 20 minutes to prepare which we spent getting a beer at the Chichester Arms. Great value and will be back before this holiday ends.

We were a family of 5 having a holiday in England under unusual COVID 19 circumstances (July 2020). It was our first night and were keen to find a local delicious takeaway and we weren’t disappointed. 2 beef chillis, chilli nachos and a beef stroganoff went down a treat. Very tasty and perfect portion sizes.

We used this takeaway twice last week and are so glad we did, the food is wonderful, reasonably priced and a great menu, they give you a pick up time and it's always ready and waiting, we cant speak highly enough of the place

First time last night and now can’t wait to go back....will be our go to from now on when we are away!We had chillis, bolognaise, nachos, sticky toffee pudding and brownies all with a good dollop of clotted cream! The food was fantastic, really tasty andfresh.....really good size portions too!!Thank you for a fab dinner that we all thoroughly enjoyed sat in our van watching the waves with our two kids! We all went to bed very happy and very full!

Woolacombe was very busy so we went to find fish and chips in Mortehoe, unfortunately that was closed so we decided to try Rockleigh Takeaway. I had nachos and chilli and my girlfriend has chilli con carne. Both we substantial meals in size, full of flavour and were good quality too. Great social distancing in place. Would definitely return again.

The best gluten free takeaway I’ve ever had. Portion sizes were good, very reasonable price, food was tasty and the gluten free chocolate brownie was the best thing I’ve ever tasted since becoming gluten free 12years ago. Highly recommend this place!

We had a pre-booked takeaway which meant no queuing. The food was ready to be picked up at exactly the time booked.We had Beef Stroganoff, Moroccan Veg Tagine and Nachos with chili followed by Sticky Toffee Pudding (with clotted cream). The portion sizes were good for everything we had. The Sticky Toffee Pudding was probably the highlight, but it was all tasty.It said a lot that the party of four all said they would be happy to both eat from the Rockleigh Takeaway again, and have the same againThanks for the friendly service.

Was not sure what to expect as so many N Devon businesses overcharge, but Mark and his team proved to be stars. Gorgeous Thai fish curry, good value, delicious on the palate, efficient service, whats more to want. Looking forward to our next visit.

We really felt like some nice home cooked food & I was surprised to read how good the reviews were. We could not get through on the phone line so my husband drove over & ordered. It was read in 15 min. I had the beef stroganoff & it was really delicious, my son has the pasta Bolognese & really enjoyed it & my husband had the chicken curry which he said was was lovely. Love Rockleigh takeaway! We can after a beach day looking for something fast but hearty. This takeaway offers the perfect solution. There’s a good selection of food to choose from including pasta bolognese and chicken curry. It is gorgeous!! It’s also very child friendly as my daughter(12) enjoyed a delicious curry but made smaller. Can I also say that the puddings are gorgeous especially the brownie!! We’ve been before and definitely coming back next summer! Really would recommend :)
