We went to The Robin hood for Lunch for my mum and dad's wedding anniversary. There appeared to be some form of misunderstanding. We had called prior as my brother has a form of colitis therefore is very fussy about what he eats due to the after effects. We were told the menu would be able to accommodate us. When we arrived we sat down and the four of us had chosen despite the lunch menu being limited. My brother said there was nothing on the menu he could eat so we asked a female member of staff if there was a different menu, she said no that was the only menu, so as a different female member of staff passed we asked her if the chef could cook a burger?, she said she could not see a reason why not and said she would ask. The male owner then came over and stated that the menu was as it was and was not negotiable. We said that there was a childrens burger so if you can cook a burger for a child surely you can cook one for an adult, he stated no as if they cook one for us and someone else sees they will want one. It was not until we said ok we will go elsewhere and just pay for the drinks, he said he would go and ask his chef. He then returned and sarcastically stated 'Right one burger' His attitude was vile and not the way you treat your customers. The food itself was OK, the beef was slightly tough. We won't return ever due to the way he treats his customers, there has to be some give or take.

I'll start with the good points, dog friendly country pub, outside seating, kids play park and the food was very tasty, asked for the chilli a bit spicy and that's exactly what I got, now the not so good points.. male staff generally pretty rude and abrupt, felt like the people skills weren't a necessity, didn't make for a friendly atmosphere, we were outside but moved inside due to the weather, we found a table but we were asked to move to a bigger table but the abrupt reason was that we may block access to another table, which we weren't, we had one drink for our little one that was either served in a stinking glass or it was off, dogs were welcome but make sure your dog is very quiet and ok with the pub dog running around inside and out, asked for I side of chips only to be told they weren't ordered, no one checked to see if our food was ok, did we enjoy our meal or even a thanks and goodbye on the way out.

We've never had a worse meal than the supposed Roast Dinner. we ordered. 2 pork and 1 beef. The plates were swimming it what was called gravy, the colour was almost black and it had soaked into the meat and roast potatoes so much it was impossible to know what the meat was, The food tasted of the gravy and vegetables were over cooked and tasteless. We had been told the standard of food had improved, if that's improved goodness knows what it was like previously. Do yourself a favour and drive past this place.

We came for lunch on Friday 26th and had a fantastic meal. Ordered roast Partridge with bacon, Wild mushrooms, Shredded cabbage and Fondant potatoes, accompanied by a dish of vegetables (Carrots, Broccoli, Swede, Turnip and Cabbage). Rioja was a lovely choice of wine, rich and full bodied, perfectly fitting for the meal. Staff were friendly and welcoming as ever, as we are regulars, often with my two well behaved dogs in tow. Compliments to the chef 👨🍳 😋

The landlord was incredibly rude and unwelcoming. We definitely won't be going back. We stopped here for lunch on the way back from a walk on the Malvern Hills but left within 5 minutes of walking through the door. The landlord's body language and demeanour were negative as soon as I asked if they could accommodate 8 of us for lunch. He walked behind the bar, muttering something to the barmaid, and then almost reluctantly offered us a table in the small room, not the bar area. He then aggressively told us the puppy wasn't allowed in there and rudely said, "can't you leave it in the car?" Clearly, he didn't want our business, so we left immediately, feeling annoyed at his poor attitude and obvious ignorance of what good customer service looks and feels like. If you're thinking of stopping here, consider one of the other establishments in the area such as the Duke of York at Birtsmorton, where you will find a much warmer welcome.

The pub opens at 12 for food & we arrived at 1158, mainly for a toilet break, but we ended up ordering lunch & I am so glad we did! It was excellent! I had seared tuna which was gorgeous & beautifully cooked, & my husband had homemade steak & ale pie which couldn’t have been more stuffed with meat if they tried! We then had crème caramel pud which was lovely, & warm autumn truffle which was exceptional. Wish it was our local! Thank you for a lovely lunch.

My wife and I decided to try this pub out for the first time since we moved to the area last year. We arrived for early evening drinks and were warmly welcomed by Maggie. The cosy atmosphere was enhanced by a log fire in the comfy lounge. Brian, the boss, and Suzanne also served us and took time out to talk to us as new residents in Malvern. By 5pm the lounge was full and there was a quiet 'buzz' from all the locals indulging in pleasant banter. Both in our seventies, we didn't feel out of place but were made to feel valued guests and enjoyed meeting so many nice people. It was a relaxing evening and we will return soon. Thanks for the welcome!

The Robin Hood is a traditional old English pub with low beamed ceiling and wooden tables. We popped in for a quick midday lunch and were agreeably surprised at the extensive menu available. We chose Hunters Chicken which came with fries and vegetables. It was a very large piece of chicken, and indeed we couldn't finish it but the management kindly allowed us to take the remainder home for the cat. The food is all home cooked and prepared and the apple & blackberry pie which I had as a dessert was delicious. It's not haute cuisine but good healthy British pub fare.

Three meals taken last night, rather expensive for each meal at £9.75 for a Chicken Curry and the same for a Ploughman's. The Chinese Ribs and chips weren't cooked long enough and were tough, the chips standard frozen and again not completely cooked. It's a shame as we've eaten there before but standards have dropped.

We ate here several nights and was not disappointed the food was excellent portion very large, we would have preferred smaller portions so as not to leave uneaten food on the plates.

The menu was poor, their had been no changes since we stayed last year. My husband ordered the risotto, he didn't expect to have to pull sticks of heards out of his meal.

After having a lovely roast at the kings head we sat in their garden having a drink. Really unprofessionally the manager came over from the star inn and asked us to join them because ‘the drinks are cheaper’ Maybe but the live music is awful and your pub is empty - we now know why. So rude. Really unprofessional and an awful attitude to have towards another local business Absolutely no business coming from our large group who would have happily spent money behind the bar.

An amazing Sunday lunch at this lovely local pub. Visited with friends and 3 of us chose the roast beef. It is the best beef I've eaten. My friend, who is a vegetarian, had the Sunday roast but substituted the meat for cauliflower cheese...which she loved. I would highly recommend this lovely place for a warm and friendly Sunday lunch.
