RK Dining in Preston

Had best day ... they have good deals fir cheaper price also their food is tasty... I would recommend to my friends as well

Our first visit to try RK Dining and we will be back. Alec our server explained the menu with such passion and we asked for his recommendations. The food was hot, tasty and authentic. Exceptional service and all the staff were extremely friendly.

I really enjoy the masala dosa from RK dining. This time however the crepe was quite hard and chewy, like it had been overcooked. This is the first time this has happened. The taste overall was good as usual though, just hope the crepe is better next time.

1 star because it won't let me give 0 star. Ordered online from RK today and it came quickly no wonder why as everything seemed as if warmed up from frozen. Chole had that stale bitter aftertaste and bhaji had a huge black lump inside it. Not recommended.

I had an amazing experience at RK, the variety of vegetarian options was incredible, and every dish was served with flavour and freshness. The masala dosa was a standout perfectly spiced and beautifully presented. The ambience is cozy, and the staff were friendly and attentive, especially Sahil. The food was good. But the service wasn't that good. No one came to check in on us. We had to go to reception to ask for the add-on. The glasses looked worn too, they should be replaced with new cutlery. Overall okay.

Love the Indian food. Would be nice if they can add a south Indian thali option too.

The BEST Indian food in the whole of England, takes you straight back to India! Everytime I come to Preston I have to go to RK Dining for my Indian street food fix, from Dahi Puri, RK Special Dosa, Khaman Dhokla, to the crispy samosas and cheese balls. Their mithai is always so soft and fresh, and the Rose Falooda is strongly recommended!! Great service as always and friendly staff. If you haven’t already tried it, try it!

Amazing find, loads of fantastic and authentic food, clear spice & allergen labelling with a huge range of vegan options, including the only vegan jalebi I have seen. Definitely worth a visit, there's no parking in front, but two easily accessible public car parks round the back.

Many thanks to Ravi for his brilliant customer service in organising excellent food delivered from Preston to our event in Lancaster well in time, despite a last minute venue and date change at our end. We were kept updated promptly through the process from ordering to delivery. Food was delivered hot, in very convenient large containers and was praised by all attendees.

Some staff are lovely and so welcoming. Shame about the food. The Mysore Dhosa is just a Dhosa filled with pav bhaji not how a Mysore Dhosa should be. I was very disappointed as I was expecting to get a taste like in India. Curries are also very oily and blend. I brought mutter paneer and the was no panner inside all I got was peas maybe you might want to rename the dish. Khaman was very tough and dry and felt like it was made last week. Corners have been cut

Wow!! Are the new owners at RK?? Food has gone downhill. Not fresh at all it looks like they have batched cooked the food and then frozen it to be defrosted and warmed up in the microwave and served to customers. The khaman taste has also changed. Feel bad for the staff as they look over worked and miserable maybe help them out and hire some more staff. Prices are ridiculous compared to the quality of the product they offer. Please take a look and change things before everyone leaves!!!

Great food, but the service was disappointing. The dishes were delicious, but the waiter was inattentive and unfriendly, which affected the overall experience.

They haven't gave me the cutlery no napkins nothing. pav Bhaji was good. samber was like a water. I will never order again from this shop

As a confirmed carnivore, I was a little dubious, but I have been utterly converted. Stunning food and service. The thali, biryani and sundries were absolutely fantastic. Light, tasty and great flavours. Thank you very much for the great food.

Absolutely hands-down one of my favourite places to eat! The variety and sumptuousness of the food cannot be understated - the atmosphere is fantastically welcoming and happy. We happily travel from way outside of Preston to try to eat here at least once a week, and that won’t change! Thank you for maintaining such a treasure in the heart of Preston - what an absolute gem! :) Inclusivity of all ages, family friendly! NHS staff and Student discounts are available and fantasticly welcome at this time of financial hardship for so many! Thanks again :)

i had ordered two items 1. samosa chat and 2. gulab jamun. The samosa chat was really cold and bland and the Gulab jamun was not delivered at all. Not sure how does RK Dining can be so reckless.

Very tasty and fresh food. Massive variety of dishes from all over india. Friendly staff. You can probably go here for weeks and have different dishes every day.

Had a nice brunch with my family , and was absolutely amazed with the service provided by Sahil. He was kind and very accommodative. Gave suggestions and helped us through the menu. Food was fresh and very tasty. Must try Vada pav ( not authentic Mumbai , but definitely tasty.), the dhoklas and the samosa chat. FOR desserts the jalebis, and the rasmalai.

Ordered food from RK Dining this weekend for an event, and it was absolutely amazing. Everything was fresh and delicious. When I went to pick up the order, they were still frying samosas, highlighting their commitment to freshness. Highly recommend RK Dining for both dining and catering—truly the best!

Bought Punjabi Samosa as a takeaway, and when it was cut open at home, it was spoilt and had a foul smell. Have been here few times, but the quality is depreciating of late and this time we lost all the trust when stale food was served !

What an impressive place. Nice and clean. Most importantly, never have I been to a place in the UK where the prices are so reasonable for the Indian food and portion size served. I was amazed. Food was delicious and served quickly. Incredible value for money! The only dish that was a no from us all was the Manchurian. Everything else 10/10! Service was exceptional.

The tracker showed the driver was at the end of the street and never delivered the ordered and noted on the tracker that it was delivered

I’ve been to RK 3 times in the past 2 weeks as the food is so good and staff super friendly. I’ve had two different dosas, idli sambar and chai to ear in and chilli paneer to take out and all were superb. I’m recently back from travelling India and the food is just as you would taste out there, really fair prices too, can’t recommend highly enough.

I did not receive my order. I rang the restaurant and they blamed the courier and said to ring them. Rang the courier. The message said unable to connect. I am still waiting for a refund and will not be using this takeaway again. Would not recommend. Very poor customer service. Rude and unhelpful

Very late serving every time you go here

I popped in a few weeks ago passing through Preston. I was so impressed with the range of foods and service, being greedy I grabbed a selection of starters and deserts for the kids an I to scoff in the car on the way home. I've craved the Ras Malai so much since that today we did a 40 mile round trip to stock up on takeaway Indian desserts. The staff are amazing and so many things to choose from that I've not seen before. The staff are so happy to explain and offer tastes. I need to find time to stop and eat in. BTW. I'm no veggie, but didn't miss the meat. The food is so good it doesn't need it.

I really didn't like the combination. to be honest the food also tasted bad, had tummy issues after consumption. i always go for Masala dosa from RK which are great but this experiment on the Thali meal backfired. guess the restaurant should precisely mention whats on the thali on that particular day so that it's easy to decide. thanks

Inexpensive, cheerful, tasty vegetarian Indian dining, also with counter for Indian sweets and home-heat meals. Been a few times now. Mixed Indian/non Indian clientele. Can be busy but quite quick service. Menu includes South Indian, other Indian and so-called Indo Chinese dishes. You can get miscellaneous dosas, idlis, chaats. Dishes/courses arrive in no particular order but don't let that worry you. Usually several offers are available. Non alcoholic drinks only. Decor is basic but bright and often noisy with a friendly atmosphere and cheerful staff. Wipe-clean tables. Updated June 2024. Forgot to mention, food quality is excellent, especially the spectacular dosas and delicate pani puri. And expect to queue for a table at peak times. Also note: this is a tasty fast "street food" joint (and very good of its kind), not a fine-dining establishment, as reflected in the decor, size of space, informality of service etc.

Vegetarian dishes are on point but the service is a little slow and should be looked into.

Deserves all the stars and more. A great lunch will colleagues made all the better with excellent food, very friendly servers and great atmosphere.

Amazing sweat and tasti yummi dalisos food

Chats are good here, wide range of varieties available. But most of the chats have sweet tint, bit of British Indian chats. Samosa chat was very nice had a spicy touch to it, masala chai tasted very nice with kachori/vada. A quick chat stop when you are around Preston. Other snacks like fafda, mixtures available for purchase here.

Not usually the one to write reviews but this place deserves one a positive one. First and foremost it’s one of the only two vegetarian restaurants in Preston which I love being a vegetarian don’t have to worry about cross contamination or anything like that. All the staff members have been spot on with customer service every time I’ve been there especially Sahil, Vishwas and Chetan.

I had order dosa it’s took nearly 45+ mins i waiting for order, finally i got my order. If they have any issue there could have suggest some alternative instead of that. But updating me every 20 mins. Really didn’t expected this

The experience for an evening meal at this place was really amazing. The perfect food that I was really craving for. Fantastic Friday food at this welcoming Preston restaurant. Went for the Create your own Thali and it was brilliant. Deep slow-cooked flavours in three different curries, a stack of rotis, rice and a giant punjabi samosa. Heaven

I am an nhs staff . I visit the restaurant at least once in a month . Yesterday on my visit there was a kind staff on the reception who while billing asked if I am nhs staff and she said that the shop provides 10 percent nhs discount . So it’s been 3 years never been asked . I am not complaining but the shop should display something there so that nhs staffs are aware . I believe there will be lot of people like us who are not aware about discount . Anyway thanks to the staff who was at the desk yesterday for at least asking . Please don’t take it as a bad review or anything I just want to let you know at least to display nhs discount somewhere .Thanks for the wonderful food you always provide

Great food but bhajis and samosas were cold

I ordered £43 worth of food from RK today, they did not give me Pav Bhaji in takeout and the old baldy guy told me that everything is inside - it’s only when I got home and opened, did I realise that they did not give me Pav Bhaji, I have the receipt to confirm this as well.

This is a shop/cafe. Got large Samoas's, onion bargi's cheese balls. We're all excellent. Wasn't so keen on the tomato dip but just down to taste. Take away boxes were well designed. The shop side was busy but didn't have to wait too long to be served and were chairs for waiting customers. The cafe side of the shop was full of people enjoying food.

The food is good but it takes a hell of a lot of time for them to serve it. the 1st time we visited them, we ordered few things from the menu and they forgot to bring masala dosa. We kept asking them how long is it gonna take and they said it's almost done. And at least we were told that they had not even started making anything yet. This was quite a bummer but other than that, every other time we go there, we have a good time. The food is good, the price is affordable. They serve really good veg food and also Indian sweets and namkeen snacks.

We ordered food for a small get together at home in Manchester and went for collection. Niraj was absolutely amazing with understanding what we wanted and addressed all my queries with so much patience & sincerity. The staff at RK were super kind to help us arrange all the food in our car, food packaging was perfect and every little detail was taken care of including cutlery & napkins. I can't say enough how amazing the food was- everyone absolutely enjoyed all the food- methi bhajiya, Punjabi samosa, chutneys, veg kofta, paneer, Dal, Puri, rice, rasmalai & mung Dal halwa, they loved it all. The quantity was more than enough and every family was able to take some for them home which they enjoyed and appreciated. A huge thank you to Niraj, the chefs and all the staff who make sure that not only they serve fabulous food but take every order and customer very seriously and provide a terrific service. Thank you!!!
