very comfortable surroundings, food was fine, coffee disappointing . As a previous reviewer has said, the more well known you are locally, the better the service? Would go again though

We heard good things about this place, but were slightly disappointed. We became invisible for 5 minutes at the bar when we walked in, even though we were the only ones waiting: we were just ignored despite half a dozen staff milling around. The place is very popular and if you are known then you are cossetted. Food was OK but Prawns for starters and Lemon Sole for mains (small portion) was well over cooked. Decore recently updated but stll has a homely feel. We'll give it a second chance only because there are a shortage of anything like decent restaurants round here. Real ale served which was a plus

Yet again another great day and night in the horseshoe great drinks and excellent meal 5/5 with friendly quick service as always.. compliments to the staff nothing to much trouble.. and Eileen who’s always good with us every time we’ve been in chatty and great one liners.. Pluss always makes sure I don’t leave with out my bacon fries for the kids 😂

370 Chorley RoadWent with a friend on saturday, firstly my friend wanted 1/2 chicken, which the waiter said they didn't have. so we ordered steaks at approx £30 each, which came with chips and a sparse tiny amount of salad leaves, no onion or tomato or anything of interest, the steak i got was tiny and my friends ribeye was overcooked, after he asked for it medium to well done. the wait for the meal was too long and we sat there for one hour and my companion said to the waiter we will pay for drinks and leave, but then the steaks miraculously appeared. Then my friend removed the service charge (at the suggestion of the waiter), i didn't remove mine but then the waiter overcharged me by five pounds, which i ignored as i just wanted to get away. i went to mcdonalds as i was still hungry and it was much better. in my opinion i don't see this restaurant being around long. Sadly its on the site of the very good India Gate.
