Beautiful visit here for a jacket potato and cake not long ago. Food was delicious! Can’t wait for an icecream in the warmer months! Absolute gem of a place

Visited here as the lockdown of COVID-19 began to ease, still only service via the kiosk but well worth it. First coffee out in months and it did not disappoint, rich and smooth. Also treated myself to an ice cream, toffee fudge also full of natural flavour. Excellent find and well worth a visit.

I visited the Riverside Parlour in Newark with my 83 year old mum today, at 3pm where most places we visited had no take out sandwiches available or the few on offer looked a little dry having been stood all day it was so refreshing to come across this little hidden gem. We ordered a tomato bread cheese salad sandwich, as simple as it sounds my mum said was the best bread and most fresh sandwich she had eaten in a very long time. The bread and salad were fresh, the filling was generous and the two ladies serving were so lovely. There’s a great selection of breads here, it’s not your average sandwich, there are also toasties and jacket potatoes available. It’s really close to the park and river overlooked by the castle. We will definitely be visiting again, based on this first visit, highly recommended!

Love this place, visited many time as their vegetarian breakfast is one of the best around. Very quick and lovely friendly staff, nothing too much trouble for them! The added bonus of the outdoor play area. Only down side is your not able to take dogs on the outside area.

I thoroughly enjoyed having a spot of lunch here. They had a good selection of sandwiches and cake. I had a cream cheese, pepper and rocket sandwich in tomato bread - it was very well presented and super tasty. The ice-cream was also very yummy and the owner, Carol, is a friendly, welcoming lady. Would definitely recommend this place.

I've been visiting this little parlour for years as they have delicious ice cream. Last time I went I had a cheese toastie with a chocolate brownie and they were delicious! The toastie was brought out to me when it was ready which was only a couple of minutes. All of the fresh rolls looked delicious, I'll definitely be heading back to try them.

Took our son to the sandpark yesterday and decided to get him an ice cream from here. My husband and I had a latte each and were tempted by the appearance of the fresh filled rolls. I opted for the ham and cheese with coleslaw, the ham was beautiful and thick and the coleslaw must have been homemade, it was delicious. My husband chose the chicken, chorizo, rocket and red pesto mayo and he said it was delicious. The rolls are all different types of artisan breads. Only thing I would say is the food ought to be priced as we nearly didn't order the rolls incase they were expensive. £2.50 each they were and they were well worth it. The coffee is made using a proper coffee machine and was very tasty, I think they were £2.40 each, which is about the average price for a decent coffee. Very impressed with taste and quality at this little place. Will definitely return.

We had lunch here at this sweet little shop. We had a really delicious sandwich and a very naughty brownie for me and swoon worthy Icecream for the husband. This was the best coffee I've had in Newark - the baristas seemed to know what they were doing. The other coffee offerings in Newark were mainly chains and the only other small independent shop we got a coffee at was dire. The inside of the shop was really nicely decorated, clean and the staff were polite and helpful. Picture is from their insta feed as I ate my brownie too quick to take a photo!!
