Amazing service great food every time I order last time I ordered there was something small missing i can't even remember what it was but when I placed next order several weeks later they remember me and gave me extra dish so honest I gobsmacked honestly has made me an even more loyal customer would definitely recommend this Chinese

Especially enjoyed the chefs special. Bean sprouts may not be by favourite vegetable, but this was an enjoyable experience.

Order a chiefs special curry. Thy mixed rice in with it I never have rice in the same tub. No king prawn no curry sauce. Sorry you have lost one of your regular customers

Onion rings cold, beef with onion was very tangy, vinegar? Special foo yung was ok, would not recommend

Everything was good other than the chips were under cooked would be the only compliant.

Very small portion, hard to find any meat in the dish, no chilli to give it the hot flavour. Very poor dish

Not concerned it was 15 late, after all it's sat night and we are difficult to find. food was 10/10 , by far the nicest Chinese we have had in a long time m would recommend without a doubt !!

Spent 35 pounds and they didn’t even send prawn crackers called up and asked and they rectified it straight away and sent us some prawn crackers so good thumbs up

The chicken chow mein tastes like what I imagine a sweaty armpit would taste like 🤢 and it only had 2 small pieces of chicken in it when I had a look/forked through it (inedible), so not sure it really lives up to the name of chicken chow mein 😆 Quite possibly the worst chow mein I've ever had in my entire half a decade of life!

Spring rolls, samosas and pancake roll were amazing! Singapore chow mein wasn’t too spicy

very bland soggy and undercooked.also small portions.Strange always had good food in the past.But this i couldn't eat.pancake roll soggy fell to bits. chicken and pineapple congealed. rice soggy and undercooked.ribs cold.Could and should of taken back but bad weather and no car.

Please don’t order from here! Tasteless and lumps of clear chewy jelly? 🤢 EVERYTHING tastes the same, it’s disgusting and quite possibly the worst ever Chinese I’ve had. Oh and chips were very old chips mixed with a couple of fresh ones…. Same with the rice manky old rice mixed with fresh. Save your money and go elsewhere I’m sure any Chinese in st Austell is better than what we just had delivered

Don’t expect to be paying those prices for cheap processed tasting chicken and sandwich ham chopped up in the rice. Was pretty appalled

Ordered riverside special with rice and got noodles delivered. Not the end of the world but not what I ordered I phoned up straight away to let them know it was wrong ( incase we got someone's order) but he said no no were closed. We said yes we get that but our order was wrong. No no were closed. Amd that was that. Won't be ordering again dur to many factors but this being the last one. Also, chips are lovely.. small bag but noodles not so great. Each to their own.

Following on from my previous review I took the food back. Explained what was wrong with it. The old man was not happy and didn't give us a full refund as we'd ate some. As we left he begged us not to say anything to anyone. Well I've not spoken to anyone I've just posted on here.

The food was good and it was a quick service.

delivery was quicker but thats probably down to the quality of food! chicken curry was not a curry colour and looked more like chicken casserole, chicken wasn't cooked through. 1/4 duck was not even a 1/4 and was burnt so by time picked that off was even less. salt and chilli chips?? could of made better at home! waste of money and will never order from here again.

Food was terrible! Satay chicken skewers were delivered as a few pieces of chicken smothered in breadcrumbs, with a tasteless sauce. Chicken and bean sprouts in barbecue sauce- sauce completely lacking In any flavour. Obviously had been coked in old oil, as taste was badly tainted. Chicken chow mein , again tainted taste. Extremely disappointing. Will not use this restaurant again.

Food is normally really nice… but tonight was awful! Satay veg my friend couldn’t eat, veg spring rolls were had thick outer rather than thin and egg fried rice was stodgy tasting overcooked and flavourless. Not usual quality at all really disappointed

First time ordering here.. I thought I would try it after a previous order from somewhere else turned up cold and wet…..no complaints…. On time… food was hot and tasty and will defo order again

I went in and ordered a chicken curry and chips and sat down expecting to wait at least 10 mins. To my surprise, the man returned in less than five minutes with my order. It was warm ups and refries. It was disgusting, all I could taste was salt. And the chips were cleary refries from the previous night !

Definitely not ordered from them again the food is tasteless and I was missing some of the dishes I ordered so we as a family didn't get all our meal and had to share. It's Definitely a no from me .

Chips was under cook, ribs had no meat on also the king prawn curry which was £10 have about three prawns

The bbq sauce on the special was thick and glupy! The chips and egg fried rice was cold. The crispy duck I paid £9 for was a slice of duck breast! Never ordering again!

If you want food that is tasteless but ready fast with a chance of food poisoning then that's the place to go. Chicken chow mein - basically just plain noodles with dried chicken, tasteless. Chef special fried rice- the meats were dry and some were rock hard, otherwise it was tasteless, the bbq sauce in it tastes like watered down oil. Pretty sure the rice was not fresh. Sweet and Sour Chicken- the chicken balls had no flavour and the dough around it didn't seem fully cooked. The sweet&sour sauce was weird, didn't taste like sweet&sour sauce. Chinese Pancake roll- tasteless, basically just had few onions and lots of bean sprouts in it and something that looked like sliced ham.... Chipped potatoes aka chips - well out of everything we ordered this was the only thing that was good, over salted but i like salt. 2 out of 4 ended up with some sort of food poisoning... Wanted to give them another chance so ordered rice and bbq sauce... well that was a waste of £6.30 as it went straight to the bin ( the sauce smelt horrible, the texture had weird plasticy slimy bits in it - and I have had bbq sauce from many many different Chinese take aways across UK this deffo wasn't a bbq sauce, the rice didn't look good either so decided not to risk it.) Also the place has mouldy walls that my partner noticed when he picked up the 2nd chance order .. don't want to imagine what the kitchen looks like... Don't risk it.

Extremely greasy, so much so the curry was split and had a full layer of oil on the top. Avoid this place

We arrived on holiday today. Our first order. Not nice at all. Ordered Plain chow mein good Egg fried rice. Dry Ordered chicken in king po sauce USUALLY this is (chicken in batter with spicy sauce) got sweet and sour chicken which included tomato, sauce watery, NO chilli. Beef in black bean. Watery no chilli for flavour. Salt & pepper chicken dry. Chicken ball’s DELICIOUS. Very polite driver We will stick to a pasty.

Weve used riverside alot over the years but our meal this time was awful. Barely any sauce with the hong kong style chicken and just completely tasteless. Soggy chips, none of it tasted fresh really dissapointed.

The food was cold and misleading. I thought I had ordered traditional dim sum and got an array of cold prawn toasts, Chinese rolls etc which is not the same as dim sum as far as I’m concerned. While the food came quickly it was cold and which was rubbish

I went there on Saturday 28th July at 5.00 when it opened, it didn't take long. Got home it wS cold and burnt noddles and onion rings and the main meals were tasteless., I won't be going back there again.

Unfortunately the meal was extremely disappointing this time. The chips were overcooked and hard. The BBQ sauce smelled awful and the curry was not of the usual good quality. Riverside use to be our favourite, so it’s very sad

Had a £10 just eat voucher sent by just eat. Ordered through the app using my voucher (£10 taking off my order at checkout) and went to collect the food and was told I had to pay full price as they don’t except just eat vouchers.

This is the worst Chinese food I have ever had. We had one last year whilst on holiday and it was very good which is why we didn't hesitate ordering again. The restaurant food has gone downhill massively. There was no taste to anything, it was all bland and the food quality was poor at best. Would not recommend. Wanted to contact the restaurant directly but it closes at 21:00 and there is no email address.

Usually really good and my local Chinese of choice. Today was incredibly greasy, so bad I couldn't eat it, and with little flavour. I phoned to complain, was told it was because of a hygiene inspection today and everyone stressed and feeling the pressure of that. I was told I'd get a free dish and delivery next time I order. Really I think that warranted a refund, but what can you do? Can't blame the man on the phone and no superior told him how to rectify my issue. I understand people can feel stressed but I've spent a fair amount on what was supposed to be a treat that I couldn't even eat because the quality was so bad. 2 stars because usually the food is fine.

Best pineapple fritter for a ling time!

Probably the worst chinese I have ever had. To start I had spare ribs in bbq sauce, the meat was fine but the sauce was a very strange tasting gravy and tasted nothing like bbq sauce. I then had the chef special fried rice which had the same sauce/gravy the rest of it was completely tasteless the rice was well over cooked and the rest was horrible. If you like your chinese I would not recommend here which is a shame as it used to be the best around

Brought 3 dishes plus sides, very disappointed. The aromatic duck was really slimey, the rice was burnt in places and the BBQ ribs were disgusting they had hardly any meat on them and the sauce tasted like a greasey gravy not BBQ. Definitely won't be buying from here again. The delivery driver was lovely.
