Sehr netter Pub mit einer tollen Außenanlage mit Spielplatz und Fußballplatz wo sich Kinder wunderbar bewegen können.

Great coffee at a reasonable price, friendly service, ideal for cyclists on Forest Way as it's about a minute's ride away.

Food prepared with love and care. Totally recommended. Better than other Forest Row offerings by a country mile. I'll be back!!!

Here’s my review of the river view. We had a really wonderful breakfast made even better with a wonderful host. I would highly recommend this joyful cafe to anyone! Sadly no river view though.

Popped in during awful weather got a warm welcome and somewhere warm to sit. Had the XL breakfast and it lived up to the name. Good price and excellent sausages. Would highly recommend. As a builder I have had my fair share of breakfast. This was up there with the best. 😁

Second Sunday of each month we have been going to the River Cafe with one of our old cars. The cafe itself is very cosy but there is plenty of parking and they serve great coffee!

Needed directions to get me started on the old railway route so what better excuse to get a coffee as well? The young guy was helpful with directions and also made no problems with the coffee being a takeaway. Delicious and not overly expensive either. Had a lovely walk to Groombridge then bus back to Forest Row. Gasping for a cuppa at this point but just missed closing time. Not local but would gladly revsit if in the area.

Do you ever think - this is smaller than the last time I had this!! - The shrinking chocolate bar, the smaller packet of crisps - well now we have the "shrinking breakfast" .... Today my single rasher of bacon was so small and the breakfast didn't even fill the plate. The quality is good but the vfm (value for money) comes into question. I would rather pay an additional pound and see it grow back to the right size than have it shrink further .... Even the egg looked like it had been laid by an anorexic hen !! Sorry guys my eyes may be getting older but there is no point in shrinking a British institution 😃

This is a charming little cafe in what used to be the Coal Office in the days when Forest Row had a railway station. Curiously, it is called 'Riverview', though there is no river and not much of a view. The care itself, however, is excellent. Good coffee, tasty snacks, and a pleasant outside seating area. Service was very quick and friendly. I would heartily recommend.

While visiting our family in the U.K. we went for a walk on the old rail line, now a great trail and discovered this, near the lumber yard as you come into town. It is easily missed as our daughter who lives there was not aware of it. We and coffee and pastries and watched with envy as the lady running the restaurant made a big breakfast for someone else. Friendly staff, glad we stopped here. We will try the breakfast next trip

We use this cafe quite regularly when fishing the local reservoir as there's plenty of parking if there's a group of us. It's recently changed hands & had a much needed spruce up, the breakfast sets us up for the day at a good price and service always comes with a smile. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Try the set breakfast! Simple menu for quick, good eats, good quality food and coffee and it is 'cosy' enough that you may end up talking to someone new. Popular with walkers (not zombies, the types with backpacks and maps) and cyclists because of it's location on the Forst Way.

Some friends cycled to here from crawley and feeling a tad lazy I drove down to meet them. You could almost miss the café its so small. Ordered 4 breakfasts plus a Panini and some drinks followed by some cake after. To be fair we waited a while as it was just one lovely lady doing everything but well worth the wait and all my friends agreed the food was lovely. Sat outside in the beautiful sunshine. Perfect morning. Will definitely go again.

Great place for breakfast or lunch, hidden away but worth finding. Limited indoor seating but also has outside space. The coffee is fantastic and the menu is great.

Based in an old coal merchants premises near the site of Forest Row railway station. this cafe has been open for a few years now, and is steadily building its clientele. It is ideally sited for both local workers and those walking the Forest Way, and offers both hot and cold food and drinks at sensible prices. I have been a regular here for several years, and would recommend the teas and sandwiches, which are excellent.

What a fantastic few of coffee, it is so nice and I can’t criticise it at all. The foods and cakes are mostly home made by the staff and there are lots of gluten free at the same time. But you have to be quick as it sells very quickly. The staff are all so friendly and offer a scheme where patrons can pay ahead for tea or coffee if someone is in need. It is dog friendly. Very well run and worth a visit.

Jarvis Brew is a hidden gem. The coffee is fantastic and there are always a wide selection of pastries, cakes (inc. gluten free for a pal of mine) and even bacon rolls, freshly made, for my always eating sons! I am going to make this a regular stop for my morning routine.
