River Kebab in Maidstone

Thought we would try this kebab place for the first time and it possibly could be the worst kebab shop I’ve ever been too. The floors looked filthy and shop is in need of a spruce up.The grill they cook on looks like it’s never been cleaned. FOOD HYGIENE AGENCY should be there ASAP!

Chips were good, meat was a little dry and a tiny bit shy on the sauce, arrived warm/lukewarm other than that I enjoyed it.

Kebab meat tasted undercooked and the kebab wrap was a great size but unfortunately due to the meat being so greasy the wrap was filled with oil. Not impressed.

Delivery man was super nice, food was hot, portions were big, quality was excellent, tasted amazing. I mentioned my love for jalapenos and cabbage and they made sure to give me extra of both! Amazing place, has never let me down. I highly recommend

ordered a few times now and it's been great. BUT last night done our usual order. and the mixed meat and chips i paid nearly £14 and the chips in the box what a joke honestly. I mean don't get me wrong tasted great but that was a very very small handful of chips. Also maybes you can start doing an option for just a 1/2 or 1/4 pounder rather than a meal deal

I order from here a fair bit, food is cold most the time, but it's the only nice tasting kebab I can get. This time however, I order at 00.10 and they make me wait for 40 minutes before saying that they have no driver's available. Someone pulls up outside my house and leaves after a couple minutes, order suddenly gets cancelled due to no drivers available. Lack of drivers would've been a known issue upon my order being placed, yet I'm fed some nonsense about how they have to accept an order before they can cancel it on just eat which is a lie as I've had orders refused. Why lie to a repeat customer? I'm now starving thanks to this, with no other option than to be hungry tonight as theres no food in the house. Thank you so much for making a diabetic go without food for the night

It took an hour and a quarter to be delivered and the chips were cold when they arrived but the rest of the food was ok. Drink prices are quite extortionate though compared to other places.

I’ve ordered from here twice. First time excellent. Shish kebabs. Pitta, salad and bread all separate so not soggy. Sauce in a pot on the side. Today everything had been put together and smothered in sauce.

I haven't received any order, I'm totally dissatisfied

The food took 1hr and 20 minutes to arrive and when it did it was cold, so over cooked the chicken was inedible. Really disappointing.

Definately my last order here. Cod was clearly not cod,some sort of grey nastyness and disgusting rubbery frozen chips. Kebab was stone cold. Pitta was clearly stale I'm guessing new management as this used to be the best Kebab in town.

Nice food delivered tonight. Avoided the over priced deliveroo and just eat etc and ordered direct . Two large kebabs with salad and chips for twenty pounds. Fast delivery and arrived hot. Food delivery how it should be.

Very disappointed with the standard of the food lately I ordered a chicken burger and mix meat and chips it arrived really fast way before the estimated delivery time I decided to eat the burger first was very tough and stringy so only eat half the burger within 20 minutes I came over feeling sick and within the hour was in the bathroom being violently sick I finally stopped being sick 2 hours later and passed out and then suddenly a couple of hours later was throwing up yellow bile definitely won't be ordering from them in the future

Very small portion and meat was very tough.

Everything was well made. I gave 4 stars because I didn't like the wings but apart from that everything was delicious, the kids were very happy. I will be ordering again from here in the future.

The kebab was one of the best I ever had and the chips was to die for the only reason it’s 4 stars was because of the nachos they wasn’t very good but everything else 5 star and there was a lot of food as well very happy 😁😁

Lovely food and staff are friendly. Always get a chicken shish kebab, salad, chilli and garlic sauce and meat and chips. Garlic sauce is lush! We could drink the stuff! Best kebab is maidstone

Probably the best meal wrap doner in Maidstone. It is nicely topped with fresh vegetables and sauces of your choice. On the side there is good amount of crispy chips and a can of soda drink. The size of the wrap is similar to a water bottle cycling bidon of 750ml. It is huge! Been there couple of times after that and still same quality an service. Highly recommended!

The delivery was late and the order was wrong I called up the staff was rude … the food always come cold we just heat it up as we don’t mind but is the customer service that’s bad not eating there again

Avoid... terrible food and service. Avoid delivery it will turn up 2.5 hours late and cold.

My meat, salad and drink arrived but no chips! I phoned straight away and was told chips were going to be delivered, I waited for 40 minutes so I could eat my dinner including the chips and still nothing so phoned in again! I spoke to someone different and had to explain again! It seemed like a bit of a joke asking for my missing chips, anyway we are nearly one and half hours gone and no chips! I ate the meat without the chips but pretty poor customer service especially as I had to ring twice! And the food and service is usually very good! Very disappointing tbh

Disappointed with my order. Kebabs weren't made up. I would of preferred my chicken cooked for a bit longer, slightly pink inside. No garlic sauce was sent. Not the good service we are used to from this kebab shop.

First order: food arrived on time, delivery driver was friendly. The food was hot and tasted delicious. The chicken burger and kebabs were yummy.

Last minute change of plan on a Friday night - didn’t have to wait long at all and food was hot and tasty. Not a morsel left!

the food was very cold by the time it arrived. It arrived early and that was a good thing as estimated time was over an hour for meat and chips. The food itself was ok but nothing to write home about. Good point we did get money off as it was a Tuesday but even that does not make me want to order from this place again

the food turned up in time even with the snow around, warm and edible its not 5-star quality Michelin restaurant but it hits the spot when your hungry

We have used River since the new owners took over .the service (delivery),is always on time . The food is superb . Highly recommended

Ordered at 19:40 and it’s not 21:40 and foods still not here called and was told they will ring driver and then never got a phone call back then called again just now as it’s been 2 hours and was told we have to wait 5 more minutes and that if we want our money back that we have to ring back in 30 minutes and then we said no that’s not acceptable! And he screamed down the phone at us and put the phone down…. Most rude and disrespectful place I’ve wvee been to and will never go back again…..

To be honest, this is old style kebab shop, next to McDonald's still find opportunity to running business, food was fresh and hot, stuff I think should be shown more hospitality and be more friendly, respect for every pound spend in this place,
