Exlent food and very good service best quality place and very good cocktails we will visit again I will like to say thank you for look after us

Feeling esurient, I hastened to Ritmos Tapas Bar to enjoy some Mediterranean fare. I was somewhat surprised to be the only diner there but, being hungry, I grasped firmly the extensive menu and ordered the “Salmon a la parilla” (Salmon with seasonal vegetables). Imagine my surprise when 50 minutes later (still no other customers present), a plate with two filets of white fish appeared in front of me. Intrigued, I ingested the fare to sample what kind of fish this could be; for it certainly was not Salmon. Now being a keen angler, I noted that the skin and the attached dorsal fin were very reminiscent of Grey Mullet a fish common to our shores in copious abundance and traded by nefarious anglers to low grade restaurants. When asked why my Salmon was indeed, not Salmon the Manager simply said “It’s a like a da Salmon”. Sadly I shall not be returning to this place of delectation. I’m not actually sure it is a restaurant but maybe a front for another business. They’re certainly not in the “Fish Recognition” business.

Went with my wife, food was delivered quickly as the restaurant was quiet and was good in general. However , there was a loud drunk in there sat burping shouting out loudly and swearing continuously in his conversation with a friend. At no time did any of the staff have a quiet word with him. This continued throughout the meal and we couldn’t wait to leave. It’s a shame that our experience wasn’t considered by the staff.

Wow! What a pleasant surprise! Hadn’t expected to find a Tapas restaurant here. Stumbled upon it by accident- but very pleased we did! Very welcoming staff, a wide choice of Tapas, and very reasonably priced! £30 for 7 tapas. Every one was absolutely delicious and full of flavour! The complimentary bread with butter and dips was also delicious! We would thoroughly recommend this little gem!

On a Sunday evening in this area it appears that noone eats! But the Ritmo Tapas Bar in Coleford would be great any night. A large menu, friendly staff, well cooked tasty tapas with plenty of variety, reasonably priced accompanied by a glass of wine and finished off with a glass of tea. Couldn't fault it.

Arrived 6.30 pm for tapas. Were shown to a table upstairs. Fine. As the evening progressed more customers came and were seated but then tables & chairs were moved so eventually we were sitting very close. Too close in fact. Luckily I had finished my meal and decided not to have a coffee as I did not feel comfortable sitting so close to other people. The owner is not concerned about social distancing and I will not be eating there again whilst the Covid 19 is with us. We paid a visit to this restaurant while on holiday in the area and were so glad we did! Friendly and welcoming service, and absolutely delicious food. We ordered the 7-tapas deal (£27.45) to share, thinking the tapas portions would be small, but they were very generous and we struggled to finish (we made it!). Very quiet when we were there, although it was a midweek lunchtime, but it looks like a great venue for an evening out with a nice bar and a well-equipped sound system. Deserves to be as busy as it safely can be right now, and packed when we are back to normal.

If you are in Coleford (or near by) and looking for somewhere to eat go here! The Tapas is amazing and very well priced. Eight of us booked to celebrate a few birthdays and we weren’t disappointed, 3 tapas dishes each and plenty or sangria later and we all left happy.

The tapas here are fantastic. My husband and I have been a few times and we are working our way through the choices. The portions are plentiful and tasty. There is also a wide range of cocktails to choose from, these are expensive but it is personal choice whether to have one or not as there are lots of other drinks on offer too. I would definitely recommend Ritmos as a place to eat!

Went here on a Saturday night after leaving the cinema with friends and family. The place is great with a variety of traditional drinks but also fabulous cocktails and mock tails. Absolutely love Ritmo. Every single time I have eaten here I have been bowled over by the quality of the wine, the food, the service - and the welcome. Talk about a hidden gem... Ritmo is like a glorious ray of Spaniah sunshine, in the depths of the Forest of Dean. I just need to work out how three small plates of tapas can be so substantial... but they definitely are. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Had an enjoyable visit here - cocktails and paella. Only gripe was the rather boisterous behaviour of some of the other customers that detracted a little from the enjoyment of the meal. Understandably, this place is trying to attract as many customers as possible but, perhaps, there needs to be better separation between those using it as a bar and those seeking somewhere for a quiet meal.

We found this restaurant by searching on Trip Advisor on our trip to Chepstow. We were looking for somewhere on our way back from Ross on Wye and it had good reviews. We were not disappointed. The two young ladies who were our waitresses were extremely friendly and efficient. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and the tapas we ordered was all really good. There was a great choice to choose from. My husband had a lovely chat with the chef and the owner when paying and it made the whole evening really enjoyable. A great little find and good value for money. Deserves to be busier in a Friday evening.

Spent the evening with a group of friends. Huge selection of tapas so justifies multiple visits to taste them all. Delicious and generous portions. Owner very welcoming and staff efficient and friendly. Only one dislike - after waiting at the bar for over 5 minutes the barman approached me only to veer off and serve someone who had just arrived, presumably a regular, not good service and will figure in whether or not we return.

Me and my friends visited Ritmos tapas bar before the cinema on the Friday the 25th. The tapas food was unbelievable and the garlic mushrooms were to die for! Not only that, the waitress named Molly was excellent and extremely friendly and the boss was just as nice! Over all me and my friends had an excellent time here and will be back again! 5/5

Great friendly helpful staff, very comfortable surroundings, plenty of space . The gallery upstairs is our favourite area to eat.
