Nice food for a kebab shop. But only have the cheese burger meal

I went to Ritas to get some food with my adult son who has Cerebral Palsy and autism. My son was in his usual happy and friendly self, Just asking people if they liked his hat . We were treated very badly by the two men in the shop, who said my son was scaring of his customers. He refuses to serve us and asked that my son did not return as was scaring everyone… In the 30 years my son has been alive, I have not ever experienced such discrimination.. Very upsetting experience

The worst burger I've ever had. It was covered in too much sauce! Disgusting! The sauce wasn't even good sauce. Lettuce was old, buns weren't toasted enough, it was supposed to be fries not chips, precisely soggy chips. Burger was over cooked. No seasoning at all, my coca cola was German and didn't even receive napkins with my food

Best kebab! Definitely suggested to give it a go! Friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

I didn’t go to Rita’s tonight and I massively regret it. Rita’s cheesy chips and gravy are the best thing ever to happen to the uk. They are perfect and bring me so much comfort. I love you Rita’s.

I am eating from this place from last couple of years, never had problem. Always had fresh food but now it's going down a bit. I ordered from them last week and this week and noticed that they not using fresh salad. Salad does not taste good. Also their prices gone up too much and quentity very less. Don't give sauces with kebabs. Very disappointed 👎

I had my first kebab here when I was 16 the old spinning elephants leg. I don't live in Bristol now but whenever I am back I try to grab one. I have seen 3 generations of the same family serve me kebabs. The place is an institution I am 60 years old now and next time I come back I will be there. Late is best to observe Bristol people having 😊 fun.

Worst ever doner I had in all Bristol, I bet its bad in whole world. Disgusting and smelly meat. Not properly cooked or rotten. You can sleep hungry rather than eat here. 🤢🤮🤮🤮

Food is not as good as used to be. Been eating here for years. It’s now rather expensive. You can get a large kebab for £5 down the road at Bristol kebab house. The large here is £7.50 and half the size, although very slightly better quality. You get lots salad but if I wanted salad I’d go falafel hut. I ordered large doner meal. I am confused it’s the same size as small. Other than that pretty standard and nothing to write home about. Shame as used to be a solid option at the end of an evening or if you fancy a kebab.

Got a kebab after a night out and asked for some lettuce and got told it’s an extra £1.50 for lettuce. Got scoffed at when I asked for a decent portion of it if I’m paying extra for it. The food was completely inedible, don’t waste your time and money here there are so many better takeaways around.

So disappointed won’t order from here even if last place on earth would rather eat from my local bin than from here I’d avoid this place and cook at home don’t eat here I repeat do not eat from here so horrible

I've had a falafel and halloumi wrap. It was delicious, salad fresh and crispy, all tasted perfect. Staff very friendly, humorous. Pleasure to visit. Will definitely come back and highly recommend.

Rita's does the best dona kebabs in Bristol. They do a really tasty ,hot hot sauce and delicious garlic mayo .they always give extra pickled chilli's if yo ask !!

Had takeaways hundreds of times from this fine establishment - top kebabs - mine's a large chicken donner - staff have always been lovely and prices are super cheap too. Chilli sauce is nice'n'hot, but if that's not enough then just ask for one of their 'special' chillis from the jar under the counter.

The biggest falafel wrap for a fiver anywhere near St Paul's. Really nice too.

This is my favourite kebab place to go. Guys who work there are very friendly and work as a team, even to serve 1 kebab, they all work together. The best in Bristol without a doubt! Guy who wears a cap backwards always so friendly and keen, very ambitious. Good luck in the future! Thank you for filling up my tummie ❤️

Lovely guys in the shop, food nowhere near as good as it used to be. Kebab okay but used to be amazing and veggie burger tasteless.

Terrible food charged me 2.50 more than what I owed when I asked they told me I was wrong even tho I could see the sign would not recommend

Chicken is super bland. Tastes like plain unseasoned chicken breast. Service was a little rude, asked for extra chilli and was given a singular extra chilli to make for a total of 3 whole chillis!! Prices have been also hiked making it quite expensive now for what it is.

Booked food on Uber eats. Paid £24 for 2 little kebabs including delivery, ordered large and what turned up was small and over cooked small amount of meat. Lots of salad. When confronted staff was rude and didn’t want to Discuss or resolve anything. Avoid and be very careful. Watch out as unsafe area also.

Didn't accept credit card,had to take out cash from a nearby ATM and the food was way too spicy , couldn't feel the taste of meat.

They are so expensive! They lift prices up again in last 6months about £1 and they gave me same size of food I mean kingsize doner was looks lika a large. Taste of food is not too bad. Finest salads and sauces. Kingsize food meat must weight 500 600grams. You can check it in website-English meals sizes and weights-

Located in stokes croft, tried only chicken with cheese which was not too bad, however portion was smaller for price they charged.

Standard late night kebab, definitely edible, but watch out if you're drunk, they overcharged me.

Great tasting kebab. Always busy. Plenty of options and loads of salad. Chilli sauce is just right. Hot, but lots of flavour. Best on Gloucester Road by far.

I have used Rita's a few times in the past as a takeaway, the food has been excellent hence our delivery order via Just Eat this evening. tonight has been a disaster! 2 1/2 hours later we don't have a correct order. We were missing a large kebab, although the rest of the order was present. I thought that I would go through the restaurant myself rather than via Just Eat to give them a chance to correct the issue. This proved to be a mistake. After explaining the issue we were initially offered a replacement kebab, however as discussed I wanted to eat with my partner and so asked for a full redelivery with the original food sent back which was agreed to. On ringing back an hour later it appears that we were expected to pick this up .. unbeknownst to us. This is upsetting as not only are we now hungry, it also means that I won't use this outlet again. Luckily, Just Eat have refunded us the amount spent!

Waste of money a really very small portion of the largest kebab looks like a small one But we will buy again, I wonder if you will improve

Rude staff, terrible customer service. Ignorant people and they all need to learn some manners. If you want a decent kebab, go to Grecian. Ritas are a bunch of rude, cocky individuals without masks or a card machine.

Ville and unhygienic, dirty place no mask being worn by any staff, not covid ready or friendly! Cocky attitude wont take card only cash which is ridiculous during covid. Come down with food poisoning from bad quality meat. The guys in here are very rude and obnoxious, made to feel like its a crime to come here to spend my money. Chips taste gross as if they had been re cooked, wont be going back ever!

Love it! I drive all the way across from South Bristol to visit this place. The staff are always friendly and the kebab always tastes great. Discovered this place about 20 years ago and have been coming back ever since. Their homemade chili sauce is great but really spicy.

Rita what can I say about Rita , thay used to give us one beer bottle every Christmas now we all grown up not any more friendly family business that are part of stoke Croft. I dont eat kebab but the best kebabs place in Bristol , your get it on stoke Croft Bristol giant of great food.🙏

Best Stokes Croft kebab. For the food and service. Accidentally left my skateboard outside as I was too excited for chips, when I remembered they stored it safely for collection. Very much in debt and will be repaying with beers tomorrow evening ❤️

I used to live next door to Ritas during my first year of uni and it’s quickly became my go-to takeaway. Started off just getting food after a night out but progressed onto me genuinely eating there 2+ times a week. When I say they have the best veggie burger I’ve ever tasted I mean literally THE BEST, somehow tastes super umami, just f*cking bomb!! Also the guys that work there are amazing + so so kind!! (Wish you did delivery so I could get it more often)

just had a sausage and chips. sausage was ok but the chips were bloody terrible. at least they were open during lockdown so i could get a meal out of desperation

Old potatoes, fried in old oil, and then left for a couple of hours. Chips aren't supposed to look or taste like this. Absolutely inedible.

If you are looking for the most delicious portion of chips cheese and gravy then look no further. Hands down the tastiest in town. Would eat sober.

Ordered a Large Donner Kebab for £6. The portion size was not big as finished it comfortably. The meat itself was good, and finished off on the grill. The bread came in the form of a fairly sad poor quality, small pitta which was the biggest disappointment. Chilli Sauce needed more of a kick and the garlic mayo was a bit watery. Salad selection fine though. I would rank this as an average/good Donner Kebab

Loved it! Tried the lamb kebab. So scrumptious! Good cheap late night food.

Didn't expect a lot but this isn't even a half decent chippy. Even the chips were hard and nasty. Avoid unless your drunk and desperate.
