My niece and her partner got married at Mud Dock on Saturday, the service was attentive, the food very good, especially the gravlax salmon, hand cut, so succulent, the roast chicken so juicey, the salads, the lemon tart one of the best ever. The venue worked perfectly and we seemlesy ran from day to night. Thank you for making the day for Becca and Jamie so special. X

Might be one of the best plates I've ever had. Added avocado to the Vegan Breakfast and was sat very content afterwards!

Love this place, cool vibes, like the balcony outside area. Tasty ploughmans lunch for two.

Had a delicious vegan breakfast here this morning. Nice crispy hash brown and extra beans with some tofu scramble. Staff were very kind and attentive despite being very busy and the atmosphere was great. Thanks for a lovely breakfast!

We went for lunch here. The Cafe is done in a Cycling/Tour de France style. Not to my personal taste but was a really lovely vibe and setting so full marks. Service was fantastic, the staff were pleasant and attentive. Drinks were good. The food.... My Wife really enjoyed her open sandwich which was a good size. I had a Bean Cassoulet and it absolutely blew me away. The quality and flavour was outstanding. Proper comfort food done on a higher level. Genuinely one of the best things I have eaten at any restaurant in a long time. You could only identify what I had eaten based on the type of bowl as there wasn't a drop left. I had a berry pudding for dessert which was spot on too. Based on this I have to recommend this place if you are in Bristol.

My parents’ favourite restaurant in Bristol, my whole family loves their burgers with crispy chips, definitely recommend. Visited for my brother’s pre-grad lunch and had a great time. I had the fish pasta which was pretty good too, nice sauce and very filling.

Just regular pub food but ok. Very smiley and accommodating staff. Love the outdoor terrace, one for smokers one for not. Good view of the river and Prince Street bridge. Good times!

Stopped here for some food with friends and colleagues. The sun was shining and we had a table overlooking the harbour from under the shade of a parasol. The food was excellent, as was the service and staff. There was a broad selection of food and drinks for various dietary requirements too. One of the most pleasant afternoons in a long while.

Great place. Was suggested to eat here by a friend who wasn’t wrong when they said the food and the views were great. Loved the whole experience.

A wonderful little place with a range of food. I had the chicken burger and honestly it was on of the best I’ve ever had. Service was also impeccable and you can look out over the river and in the sunshine the view is beautiful.

We had our wedding at Muddock on 18.05.24. The venue is perfect, absolutely gorgeous without decorations but the team were so fabulous at personalising it with our decorations. The food was incredible, everyone really enjoyed the mixed tapas-y option, and the staff were so friendly ensuring the evening ran smoothly! They even let me hang and smash a piñata instead of cutting a cake! Plus after the wedding the venue gave us a gift with the date, our names and the venue from the local pottery place next door which was so touching! Can't thank them enough. Perfect for a laid back wedding!

So good we went twice for brunch while in Bristol for a long weekend. We arrived on both days, a Sunday & Monday, for the time they opened. On Sunday there was a queue! We didn’t book but on the Sunday we were told we only had a limited time as the table was booked for later. We were able to sit outside on the Sunday in the sunshine with the lovely views. Monday we sat inside which was just as nice and cosy! Service was good. Food was lovely. I asked for my eggs to be poached and they kindly agreed to do it. Pictures are from our Sunday visit. Monday’s bill: Latte - £3.25 Fresh Orange - £4.50 Big breakfast - £13.50 Ex poached egg - £1.25 Ex Avocado - £2.50 Eggs Benedict - £10.75 Total - £35.75 Service was not included. We walked here but there was a large car park adjacent which you’d probably need to pay for. You do have to walk up outdoor stairs to access the restaurant. If I visit Bristol again, I’ll be back!

Likewise, ignored by staff on arrival. Ordered drinks at the bar and sat outside, no one came near us after that. We will not return and we are local.

We walked there to have breakfast after reading lots of good reviews but on arrival were ignored by the "wait to be seated sign" for a few minutes. Two members of staff then walked past to serve others and didn't acknowledge us either. We were then told by two separate members of staff that someone will be with us shortly. Someone else then came to ask if we had reserved, which we hadn't, and they then told us they can't accommodate us... There were tables free outside and nearly all tables inside empty, on a late Monday morning, and there were only two of us. No one seemed or looked busy at all. Bad vibes from the get go and not a single friendly face. Will not return.

If in Bristol this place is a great option for lunch.

Light lunch on a sunny terrace. Bizarre to be told my preferred choice was not available as they had run out the preceding day ,- whatever happened to fresh chicken and avocado salad that it's not made same day. Also no 0% cider option. Friendly service team and a nice menu choice in a lovely scenic environment

Dropped in for Lunch and it was such a quirky place. The folks working were lovely. The Lunch portions were huge- we both had the Chicken Shawarma and my goodness was it utterly delicious and there was so much of it!

Excellent breakfast, homemade baked beans are amazing and big bacon slices are fab.

The Mud Dock was lovely. Situated on the docks, it had a great atmosphere with a gorgeous window (pictured). The service was okay, it could have been better. But the food was really nice.

I came her for breakfast on Saturday morning and to be honest was really disappointed. We were sitting waiting for over 10 mins whilst staff were standing around, our order was only taken once my partner got up and asked if we needed to order at the bar as we were unsure after waiting so long. The waitress took our order and the food and drinks arrived fairly quickly. My smashed avocado toast was covered in what tasted like the juice of a whole lemon, and I was unable to eat it as it was so bitter. My partner had the full breakfast, he said it was good but very overpriced for what it was. To be honest the whole meal was incredibly overpriced for what it was. I'd perhaps come here for a drink to sit outside as its a great location but I certainly wouldn't be ordering food again.

Muddock is great for casual dining in a great location. Above a bike shop, it's very Bristol.

We love this restaurant overlooking the river we got there at 10am when it open for breakfast we were showed to a table outside on the upper deck overlook the river and harbour side with great views. Our breakfast was very nice well worth the money the staff were very friendly one word of advice In book in advance as it is very popular even for breakfast.

Sat there for 15 minutes, only wanted a drink. It wasn't busy, plenty of staff. After 10 minutes we gave a drinks order, bo sign of it coming so we left.

Stopped here for a post-club night breakfast and it absolutely delivered. A great breakfast, large mugs of coffee and a nice view (over the car park) out to the waterfront. I suspect somewhere to book at busy times to guarantee a table. We didn’t but it was warm enough (just) to sit outside

Came recommend and did not disappoint. Arrived quite early in the afternoon so young lady was unsure if the kitchen was open! on checking all was ok otherwise might have walked away. Well we picked from the specials Seabass which was excellent cooked well and a very good sized fillet too. Crushed potatoes and greenbeans all cooked well very tasty indeed. It was served on hot plates which i think was a excellent makes all the difference. Next time will try the desserts or even the cake sounded good too. yes we would go back next time in Bristol.

Had brunch there. Great atmosphere and staffs were very attentive, lovely. But the foods were just standard. Not bad and we enjoyed but very standard taste. We had full mud dock breakfast but they were nothing so special. Kids friendly but the cafe is located upstairs with no lift. So if you have a buggy, you will have to carry up and down the stairs.

We got married at Mud Dock and hosted the subsequent celebration there in Feb 24. I would a million percent recommend them. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was amazing and Anna and the team did a superb job in organising the day so we could focus on enjoying the time with our guests. Most of all, Anna and the team are really passionate and knowledgeable about what they do and are super lovely and kind.

Just been twice in two days. Just coffee yesterday and brunch today. Really nice rustic informal vibe. Food was really nice and just that little bit different from the usual offerings.

Beef burgers were really nice. Tasty burger in a really nice bun. Chips were also very well done, crispy and kept their heat until the end of the meal. 👍

Bad coffee. Great brunch selection. Incredible atmosphere, staff and location. However the coffee is sub par. Been on 3 occasions spread over a month and the quality leaves a lot to be desired, especially for a bike cafe! Easy 5/5 when the coffee improves!

One of the best breakfasts. The food is lovely and the cafe is very stylish. The only part letting it down was how rushed you feel during the service. You sit down, then it’s an instant drinks order. Minutes later someone is checking if you’re ready to order food. Then you get a 5 min warning after like 90 minutes to say that they need the table back. If you’re out having breakfast with a friend and you’re catching up, you’ll deffo feel rushed.

Lots of thanks to and praise for the staff at Mud Dock Cafe today. 3 of our group were ridiculously late but the staff were always calm and polite. When our stragglers did arrive, the staff did tell us that they needed the table at 14.00 but continued to make us feel welcome. We'll done.

Really cute space with good views. Food was nice and flavourful and good proportion sizes. Service was lacking though but besides that would recommend.

The food is amazing, best burger I ever had. The location is really nice too offering you a lovely view, and the staff very very kind. Hope to be able to come here again soon

Came for a team lunch during the week, lovely food and staff were friendly. Best thing about it is the space, views and huge window. A really nice place to have a coffee, drink or meal!

We were here for a wedding but it could easily have been a private venue. It was so relaxed, and I found it difficult to differentiate the staff from the guests they were so friendly. It was the most varied, tasty food I've ever had at a wedding and we will be going there to eat soon.

This is a really well placed stop off of you're walking round the harbour. Sadly the day we visited the service was pretty slow, with one server only able to take drinks orders, despite its having full glasses, and I had to ask twice before or food order was taken. When the food arrived it was ok. Pudding was delicious!

Average grub and pricey. Bit too much effort on presentation, not enough on the key element of flavour etc.

This was the best fry up I have ever had, it was so tasty! I was hungover when I had it but even so it was amazing. My mate I was eating with thought the same. Can't really comment on anything else on the menu but the full English is epic

I love this place. The food is always fantastic. My favourites are the ham & cheese sharing board and the best beef burgers I have ever had. The wine is very reasonable and delicious and the staff are always brilliant.

Really nice terrace with the view of the canal. On of the most tasty cappuccinos I’ve tried in the UK. Felt like I’m in France again

We had an absolutely horrible experience here. We stood waiting for at least five minutes while waitresses walked past us and completely ignored us. There were open tables everywhere. Finally a woman came up to us and said that she would need to come back to us in five minutes and could we please wait. I asked if we could possibly just go and seat ourselves at one of the tables so we could start having a look through the menu. She replied, with extreme rudeness “the sign says you have to wait to be seated”. So I said, okay, so could you please seat us? And she then said “no not if you speak to me like that, we are very busy today” 🤯 Within the time she wasted arguing and being rude to us and refusing to seat us, we could have sat and placed an order. She clearly has no concept of what it means to be in the SERVICE industry. She caused the business to lose customers and we will absolutely not be recommending this place to friends. I hope that management might be able to have a word with their clearly young, inexperienced, rude and unhelpful staff.

The last couple of times we’ve been the café was closed so a treat to find it open today, and better still to be able to sit out on the terrace, on an October afternoon!

Staff was amazing They were all helpful ,smiley and and polite We had a veggie breakfast i just like the beans the other staff on the plate doesn’t worth you to pay for it And we had eggs florentine Hollandise sauce was so nice And we ordere fresh orange juice and it wasn’t taste any fresh orange juice at all and it’s expensive We had oat milk latte taste was okay but they need to work on it

I attended a wedding here and it's quite a unique place. Brilliant location and we got lucky with the weather and having the terrace. The food was really good. Serving staff were efficient and attentive and we had a very good time. I had 3 different cocktails. Two were fine the Old Fashioned needs some work though. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed it and I would return to try it as a regular venue (not private hire)

Good food and atmosphere but service can be improved, the waiters aren't attentive enough. See any people sent back because they don't have a booking please try to manage this more gracefully.

Went here as it was a filming location for skins and it was pretty rad to just sit and eat a bite here while taking in the locations beauty.. service was a little slow but it was near full at lunch.

Great location with friendly staff , popped in for breakfast and was very impressed. The shakshuka was delicious as was the eggs benedict and the full english - well worth a visit

Great location, service and food. We sat outside with views of the harbourside, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very good with great flavours, not cheap but worth it. Good options for vegans and vegetarians. Worth mentioning we booked before hand and it was quite busy so probably best.

Great food and great view over harbour side. They were slightly understaffed when we visited so service was slightly slow and a couple of items on our order were wrong, but didn’t spoil the visit.

We enjoyed a full breakfast sitting on the balcony. Well cooked and filling. The sourdough bread excellent. Good value and a great location.

We went here for our friends wedding reception. The staff were brilliant, food delicious, fab location and the venue as a whole really could not be faulted. Absolutely brilliant. I haven't been here for years, but this experience has made me plan to go back for dinner very soon.

A lovely spot for a cake and coffee. They also do main meals, but I have yet to try them yet. All customers seemed to be enjoying however.
