Spotlessly clean , as is the loo. A fairly limited menu but done very well. Coffee drinkers are in for a treat . Great care taken over producing consistently good hot drinks, predominantly coffee of course but the hot chocolate is also excellent .

I was picking up my wife who had a hot chocolate (not hot nor great) and I walked into this cafe to be met with very suspicious eyes. They looked at me as if I was a shoplifter, perhaps as I didn’t order anything, and had a seat next to my wife. They didn’t greet me but just stared at me. Especially the guy was rude and behaved in a very arrogant manner towards my wife. The whole atmosphere is just very unwelcoming. We live in Sidmouth but will never visit this place again.

Awful treatment by the woman behind the counter!! We sat on the outside bench and were going to have a few coffees and some food, my wife went to ask if there was a toilet she could use while we were deciding on what we wanted, only to be rudely denied access by the woman stating that we would have to order AND pay first before she could use the toilet!? We chose to immediately get up and take our custom to a much friendlier authentic Italian coffee shop a few hundred yards down the road who had no issue with my wife using the toilet BEFORE we ordered some coffee and the some of the most delicious cakes we've tasted!

Best coffee in Devon! Lovely owners so polite and chatty. They had a young girl working in there who was very attentive. Dog friendly and people friendly

Just off to our favourite coffee shop again for breakfast - great coffee, service and the avocado on toast is perfect A family business run by two wonderful people who always put the customer first

The older guy that I'm assuming is the manager or owner ? Is quite simply the rudest man !! Some customer service training is sorely needed!! If he is the owner then this business will not last long !!! Just be polite try being welcoming not actually a big deal !!

We popped in for coffee and I was tempted to indulge in some black velvet cake - both equally delicious ! Nice relaxed atmosphere and the owners were friendly.

Best coffee I've had in Sidmouth and delicious pastries. Really friendly couple who run it. Would definitely go back next time I'm in Sidmouth.

Excellent coffee. Popped in three times across a 2 night stay in Sidmouth. Had a great chat with the owner and was made to feel very welcome.

My 9 year old daughter had a water infection, we had traveled for an hour and my daughter really needed the toilet , I went into the coffee shop to ask politely if my daughter could use their toilet Can you believe they flatly refused and were very rude I will never go in there again and have advised all my family and friends who will also boycott this shop Horrible people

My poor daughter (aged 5) was rudely denied access to the toilet when we rushed in as she was desperate. We would have bought drinks afterwards but I won’t ever be giving them my custom now. There are plenty of welcoming places in Sidmouth. I thought the pandemic had made people nicer to each other but sadly not.

First visit to this coffee shop today. Lovely sour dough bacon roll. Really good bread and lots of well cooked bacon (hate it when it is undercooked). Just mug of tea but very good tea (not sure of brand) and stayed piping hot until finished snack. Will try cake and the coffees next time, which seem very popular.

We always drop by when we're in Sidmouth. They do an extremely nice coffee and it's a nice friendly atmosphere. It's away from the sea front so tends to be quieter than other places too - we've never failed to find a seat, even in the height of summer.

The coffee from here is absolutely unparalleled and on top of that the owners have always been so friendly every time we’ve visited. If you’re ever lucky enough to be there when Laura has made her delicious pumpkin cake, make sure you try some!! The rest of the cakes, pastries and warm snacks are also delicious though. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful cafe in Sid!!

We are frequent visitors to their gem of a cafe in Sidmouth…our Labrador, Bo, is always welcomed. Great coffee, friendly kind owners and a brilliant atmosphere… an asset to Sidmouth. A must place for coffee and lovely cakes.

Super smooth Americano, selection of vegan milks, I opted for my oak milk cold on the side. Sat out front. Seating a bit vintage, worn but service very friendly for me. Delicious date and chocolate flapjack provided by The Exploding Bakery, full of flavour and crisp textures. Don't remember name but something to do with Ramblers? Ramblunctious??!

They apparently don’t take dogs when there are children in the cafe ( I have a small impeccably behaved Labrador) and were curt and unfriendly, won’t ever bother again. Good luck with that attitude in a looming recession. Go to coffee 165 by Kenaway House instead.

I was recommended to go here by hotel staff so wandered up for a takeaway coffee. Twice. Stylish, great food and drinks and warm, friendly, chatty staff. My first stop next time I return to sidmouth.

I heard there was good coffee here so headed in only to be shouted that 'we don't take wet dogs' I was wetter than my dog! And it was a rainy day! They hadn't been in the sea or river. Just rain. No hello. No sorry but you could have take away. Just stared and shouted at. I promptly left and got upset. Maybe I should toughen up but also isn't there a place now more than ever to be polite/kind. No idea if the coffee is good as per reviews and now I never will. Milsons Point and Cornish Bakery always welcoming and good food and drinks.
