Was at my brother wedding here absolutely lovely venue food , staff amazing highly recommended and 2 staff in particular shaz and Sharon were amazing lovely people

Came here for a birthday celebration and had a 2 course Sunday roast. The food was fantastic, served hot, plentiful and catered for all dietary requirements perfectly. We had a really nice time.

Ridgmont House is a wonderful venue in a beautiful setting. Ideal for functions, weddings etc. Lovely friendly staff and superb food.

We had a family lunch here on Sunday to celebrate a notable birthday.We had spoken to the owner and the chef prior to the day and sorted out all the details. The room looked beautiful with the tables spaced out and very attractive. The food was excellent.We had opted for the three choice menu and everything arrived at the right table at the right time, piping hot and beautifully presented.The staff were friendly and attentive and we had a really happy occasion. Martin made sure that all went well even when we had a slight delay with a car having broken down en route. I recommend this venue wholeheartedly.

Recently attended Ridgemont for a party night..apart from the history and ambience of the place which is beautiful what was remarkable was the buffet food which was served.... The place is becoming well known for the sumptuous food ...staff are friendly too

My partner planned me a 30th birthday party. From the parts I was involved in, the staff were really attentive and nothing seemed too much trouble during meetings etc. From the second I laid eyes on the venue itself, I was so pleased. It’s so beautiful, inside and out. All of the guests that attended were so happy with it. Such an amazing place with massive gardens that are well maintained. I didn’t really touch the food I was jumping between guests all night. That’s the only reason I didn’t eat. but everything else was perfect. I will definitely go back if given the opportunity. We celebrated our wedding here on 27th June 2019. From the planning stage to the actual wedding day the staff were amazing and accommodated our wishes in every detail. Nothing was too much trouble for Martin the front of house manager. Also the canapes, served on the lawn, were imaginative and totally delicious. The wedding breakfast was tailored exactly to our needs by Chris the head chef. The food was second to none. The entire venue and setting is beautiful. It's a hidden gem situated completely out of sight off Chorley Old Road and lent itself perfectly to our vintage theme. You have exclusive use of the venue and it is suitable for all types of occasions in addition to weddings.

We attended a Lunch on Rememberance Day,and cannot recommend enough this Venue for its outstanding food and service from the staff. The staff and attention to detail is amazing,they all have a smile on their face,and make everybody so at ease. The surroundings are beautiful and table settings cannot be bettered.

I got married 13th October 2018 at ridgemont house, and this venue was outstanding,the grounds around are superb.The staff are second to none and the food was just amazing. Attention to detail was indesputable nothing was too much trouble. AND it doesn't break the bank to get married here , total value for money. I would highly recommend this venue 😁

Set in beautiful surroundings, Unfortunately the last time we attended was for a family funeral. Have attended weddings in the past. The food on all occasions has been very good

I recently attended an away day with work at Ridgmont house and work informed them that I am a vegan and the catering was above and beyond what I had expected. Very impressed at the effort that they went to to make sure I was adequately catered for throughout the day with vegan breakfast served to start, vegan biscuits and flapjacks during our tea breaks and soya milk and soya butter. Extremely impressed, thank you Ridgmont House

We had a lovely meal in Ridgmont House after the funeral of my brother in law the staff and service was excellent we will be returning again in much happier circumstances ,well done to everyone.

I recently attended a birthday party here that was very enjoyable. It can be difficult to find if you don’t know just where the road entrance is to this large secluded house in its tree lined gardens just up the hill from the cemetery. There is plenty of parking available. The venue is actually quite simple, a large ‘L’ shaped function room with a well-stocked bar at one end and a small room at the other side of the entrance hall which is usually used for the buffet. Easy access to outside, either from the patio door near the bar or the main entrance can extend the area or give pariah smokers somewhere to congregate.Staff handing out fizz from a linen covered table outside on arrival was a nice touch. Good job the weather was decent. All of the staff throughout the evening were helpful and efficient and the buffet was great, definitely above the usual party buffet fare with no shortage of delicious options. Bar prices were a fair bit above average for this type of venue but overall a good choice to hold any kind of function.

A and pleasantchristmas lunch for about 60 people from a bolton group,it was enjoyable but lacked something to make it extra special.the food was good,the destination a nice old house.The staff are efficient and pleasant.

This was a lovely place for a funeral. Staff were very kind,helpful and courteous. Fantastic buffet. Greeted with tea or coffee. Would definitely use this place again. Hopefully under more happy circumstances.

Beautiful grounds & views.The staff so welcoming nothing is to much trouble. Fantastic food and service. All our guest say this was the best wedding ever for the grounds,the fantastic food, atmosphere, staff making sure everything was ok with everyone.Wendy , Martin,Amy and all your team thank you so much for all your hard work & a day to remember with a smile .

This is the second time we have been to this restaurant and again disappointed.

An excellent meal with first class service from the staff superbly led by Marina; nothing was too much trouble! A night to remember for all the right reasons!

I held yet another dinner with my business The Lancashire Dining Club last Saturday night. The food was exceptionally delicious with good service.

Recently i was a guest in a party of thirty so people for lunch where I found the surroundings well cared for and impressive . However there seemed acute shortage of staff re the food and bar service a fact they acknowledged themselves .We were on the first course before the wine lists appeared then culminating in to speed and assist a very willing waitress who was serving food we decided to go to the bar to organise the wine which took a while given the bar person was not too sure if they had various wines available .The reason I point this out is the lunch was not cheap affair and one would have expected a meet and greet and attention to this area before the meal . The meal in my opinion was very mediocre and certainly not hot food but luke warm .

Visitamos aquí para un almuerzo aniversario. Fue foggy como conducimos por tan sólo vió Horwich las señales que indican el camino a R. H. fuera de Chorley Old Road. El comedor estaba decoradas. El personal era eficiente y amable. La comida era deliciosa, seguido de carne asada y todos los adornos. Por desgracia, el postre fue una decepción que me - Flan y otros pensó que era un poco de suero de 'bultos'. El café fue una decepción. Sólo beber café después de haber estado en una comida y este parecía barata y el aroma no era bueno! El personal me sirve con la alternativa de una buena taza de té.

We had an excellent Christmas Dinner here I had salmon it was good that there was a choice. The food and the staff were very good. The reason they did not get top marks was that towards the end of our meal another party arrived for a room upstairs but used the bar in our room and stood at the bottom of the stairs drinking and talking loud. We felt invaded and when our speeches started we could not hear what was being said.

Todos cocinados a la perfección por Neil y Chris los chefs residentes. Felicidades al personal dirigida por Emily excelente servicio. Otro evento muy agradable en Casa Ridgmont.

Casa Ridgmont es una verdadera joya escondida en un entorno más hermoso que te hace sentir que estás en el campo y quizás transportado atrás en el tiempo. Planeando mi fiesta fue fácil con el personal más amable y servicial que dispuesto a discutir y ser flexible para adaptarse a mis planes. En el día de mi partido todo transcurrió sin problemas, la comida era excelente y no podía haber deseado una mejor experiencia. Yo recomendaría a cualquiera que quiera un lugar especial para visitar y ver cómo es la Casa Única Ridgmont.

Nos tenía 40 aniversario de boda en la Suite Ridgway almuerzo. Nuestros clientes estaban encantados con el desayuno buffet excelente y el personal no podría haber sido más agradable y servicial, desde el inicio del proceso de reserva hasta nuestra partida.

My wife and I attneded a formal lunch with a number of close friends the Ridgemount was just right Nice and private the food was just right and the service spot on

Superb quality of food and excellent service, a good time was had by all the family and even the d.j was good.We thoroughly enjoyed it.

I attended Ridgmont for a function. The surroundings were beautiful as was the interior. I am disabled and we were in the upstairs room but the staff were extremely helpful and pushed my wheelchair up and down ramps and in the lift. Unfortunately, the disabled bathroom is downstairs. Also, there was no provision for soap when I wanted to wash my hands. The staff had to pump a bit of liquid soap into a small dish for me. We had a three course meal. The starter was soup which was delicious. The main course was a real let down. I had the vegetarian option which was a Quorn sausage and bacon casserole. It was tasteless and my roast potato wasn't cooked. The dessert was a raspberry creme brûlée. It is not what I would have chosen but it was okay. I would visit again to give them a second chance but I wasn't completely bowled over by my first impression.

Was here for a wedding! The venue is stunning as are the grounds and the views. The staff are brilliant and the food served is plentiful and vast in terms of taste and portions.Very highly recommened

My wife and I where fortunate to be invited to an International Dining Night, which turned out to be fantastic, we started with French Onion Soup, possibly the best I have ever had, then we had Thai Fish Cakes with sweet Chilli Sauce again they were delicious, Main Course Gammon with all the trimmings and to finish Tiramisu, a selection of Continental Cheeses assorted biscuits and Coffee, All in All a very good meal and an enjoyable night

A wonderful location , fabulous house in grounds overlooking the Horwich moors. Good/ ample parking. Staff always very attentive yet discreet, food is always excellent, we have never had a bad experience here be it at a wedding, ladies evening or birthday party. My only negative comment i suppose would be that if you do not know the slip road to access the House, you might have difficulty finding it?For those of us who love fairly close by and have known of its existence for many years, we can find it easily, but if you didn't, there isn't a board at the end of the driveway indicating it is there and you can easily miss it. Other than that, it's a great place to go and have a relaxing meal.

My wife and I recently visited this venue, although the occasion was a solemn one.The house on arrival and on entering is quite resplendent, consisting of a large entrance hall that is welcoming and airy, dining is of a very high standard, also the bar has a varied choice.Staff are courteous and very helpful. Parking is not a problem for able bodied and disabled, this being mainly due to being set in it's own grounds. There lies a little problem, being set off the main road by some distance better signposting would cure this.Albeit, once there small problems fade. We would like to visit this venue again.

I took my partner for a surprise meal on valentines day-night this year. We were greeted with a glass of bubbly and shown to our own table. The room was tastefully decorated and had background music to set the atmosphere. We had a wonderful meal and the service was excellent. We felt very special and enjoyed every part of the evening. I would recommend Ridgmont House to anyone and will definitely be attending one of their up and coming events again very soon. Overall, the food was simply devine and the best meal we had had out in a long time. Thank you for making our evening very very special.

Me my partner got our 2 gawjus boys christend on the 4th of August everything was organised by the ridgemont the room was decorated beautifully everything was the best it could ever be staff was very helpful n very pleasant n food was fantastic it was a fantastic day n enjoyed every min of it my next Venue will be my wedding n will most defiantly be at the ridgemont
