Outstanding. Just off Grosvenor Square, this is an airey, contemporary restaurant with a great menu, glorious food and a great wine list. This was our first visit, we will return!

Had an amazing dining experience at 34 Mayfair! Started with the Portland crab, which was fresh and full of flavor. For the main course, I had the Rotisserie Suffolk chicken, which was cooked to perfection—juicy and tender. Also tried the Korean BBQ Spatchcock chicken, which had a delicious smoky and slightly spicy kick. The mashed potatoes with onion gravy were the perfect side—smooth, creamy, and packed with flavor. The service was outstanding, with friendly staff who made the experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was brilliant, elegant yet welcoming. A fantastic place for a great meal—highly recommend!

I have been there twice, my first time it was perfect.. the second time was good. The staff are friendly the place is lovely. The service was great, however, there were not a lot of customers both times so I cannot be sure.

I’ll start with the service. It was simply exceptional. We arrived 20 minutes early but the lady was more than happy to find us a table. She also asked if we’d like to store our jackets. One the waiters gave us some suggestions that proved to be on point. About the food. Everything was perfect. We asked for some bread and butter which were good and the Argentinian Rib Eyes that we all asked for with fries and sauce were really nice too. I asked for medium rare and the chef nailed it. Deserts were awesome. I got to taste the hazelnut bar and the 34 doughnuts. The doughnuts were still hot from and were amazing. By far my favourite. About the ambient, it was super fun. Cuban songs live with some intervals in between which gave us time to talk. I highly recommend and would return :)

I tried their signature cappuccino, and it was one of the best I’ve ever had—rich and creamy with just the right amount of foam. The worst restaurant we’ve ever been to – a complete disaster! This was, without a doubt, the worst dining experience we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the service was disastrous. The staff seemed completely unprepared, indifferent, and rude, ignoring our requests and leaving us waiting for an unreasonable amount of time, even though the restaurant was far from busy. The service was an absolute mess: dishes took forever to arrive, some orders were incorrect, and additional requests were simply ignored. What should have been an enjoyable evening turned into a stressful and disappointing experience. To make matters worse, at the end of the night, we found out that the bill was over £700 – an outrageous amount considering the quality of the service and food. The most shocking part? We saw three rats running through the restaurant! This was completely unacceptable and disgusting, raising serious concerns about the hygiene of the place. It’s appalling that a place charging such high prices offers such poor service and maintains such low hygiene standards. We will never return and absolutely do not recommend this place to anyone.

Very disappointed. I’ve been here 4 times before and would always bring family and friends visiting to this restaurant but I will not come back after our last visit. The ladies at the front were unnecessarily rude when asked a question about the indoor vs outdoor seating - I think they need a reality check to be honest. We asked the waiter for an additional drink twice before giving up (we never received it). Bottom line is - london has a great option space for amazing restaurants that have it all (decor, food, service etc) and this place is simply just not worth it anymore

Victims of TikTok No christmas decoration at all as shown in TikTok, very plain and classy. Food was ok, Caesar salad didn’t taste as Caesar’s dressing, chicken well cooked but more time would be perfect. Cocktails taste more soft drink than alcohol. They charge you 2 pounds as a “cover” when you eat there and not to mention gratuity as well. We arrived 5 minutes early than our reservation and we had to wait 15 minutes to be seated.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Argentinian steak at 34 Mayfair was halal—and it was perfection on a plate! Ordered medium, and the chef absolutely nailed it. The meat was tender, juicy, and paired with a sauce that was nothing short of incredible. Hands down, a steak worth coming back for. On the flip side, the Korean BBQ spatchcock chicken was a bit of a letdown. It lacked the bold flavor and depth you’d expect from a dish with "Korean BBQ" in the name—definitely a "one and done" item for me. The service? Flawless. Attentive, professional, and added to the overall experience. At £34 for a steak in Mayfair, it’s well-priced for the quality and location. I’ll be returning, but I’m sticking to that steak! They do sneakily add on a £2 cover charge per person for bread which isn’t voluntary but just brought to the table- would be nice if they offered or explained it’s not free!

Incredibly disappointed! Came Sunday December 15 around 1 p.m. and staying in London for a week we had planned to eat there every lunchtime but given the friendliness of the lady at the reception who is cold as a prison door we will not come back!!!! And I’m not even talking about the other waiters… 25 minutes to get a coke! Which is served to us in a glass with a ton of ice and above all without bubbles!!! For the damn sum of 15 pounds!!! Theft!!! The French are obviously not welcome here so abstain if you want to have a good time and not get robbed! Too bad the plates served were beautiful.

Disappointing. Were seated 15 mins after our booking time. We wanted to go straight for mains, but were “prompted” to order starters as the kitchen was busy and would be waiting a while for our mains. The sommelier was rude, dismissive, uninterested, unprofessional and unaccommodating when we asked to try some wines. Food was mediocre at best. Truffle mac and cheese tasted of artificial truffle oil, and lacking any other flavour. If you’re used to the real deal - you’ll know the difference straight away. Many better places in London.

Disappointing Experience From the moment we walked in, the service was poor and unwelcoming. The atmosphere amongst the staff was tense and uncomfortable, and our waiter seemed visibly annoyed throughout. As someone who is gluten-free, I mentioned my dietary requirements when we were seated, yet I wasn’t offered any gluten-free bread while my friend had her bread basket. I asked for some while waiting for my main meal, and when it arrived, the bread was actually quite nice—but then my poached egg on toast arrived without any bread. When I asked about it, I was told I’d already had “my bread.” I had to reorder bread to go with my meal and ended up waiting 15 minutes for it to arrive. A different waiter eventually came over to apologies, which was appreciated, but our original waiter was rude, unhelpful, and had the worst attitude throughout the experience. The food was nice, but the poor service and unprofessional behavior completely ruined the meal. I won’t be coming back. My friend requested the service charge be removed when the bill came- the same waiter questioned her why with the same poor attitude. Will not return and would not recommend!

Booked a reservation via site and open table. Thought I booked an indoor room as it was for early December but it turns out they have outdoor seating and it defaulted me to sit outdoors. The email confirmation didnt show this nor was it clearly displayed else where. I probably should have looked harder myself but visiting london from the US in the middle of the winter youd expect to sit inside most places. Esp high end Resturant's. Was placed outside in the corner where obvi the heaters dont reach. The host was nice enough to give me and my wife a blanket each. Still sucked having to eat with a blanketc hat, scarf and jacket on. Got the Korean bbq chicken. Was small, no meat and not filling. Waste of money imo. Wife got a decent fillet but asked for two side sauce options. Only one came out. No one ever checked on us so couldnt even ask for the second one. Ordered desert. Wanted to get a seasonal fruit plate with a mango sobert and wife wanted to try the cheesecake. Only the cheesecake came out. Im writing this review as i finish eating so no idea if they are going to charge me for the seasonal friit that never came. Save your money and go else where.

Food was lovely … service was rushed and clearly just trying to get the customers in and out in time for the next booking . Erreur on bills charged for drinks that we didn’t have , also asked for 4 glasses of house wine , our fault not to check but got charged 92£ for 4 mini glasses of wine … more than the price of champagne and cocktails . They should have warned us but instead just pointed at the price on wine menu that we hadn’t looked at !! Our fault but a gesture would have been nice ..

It's disheartening to receive such poor treatment from a restaurant that should prioritize customer service. My visit left me deeply unsatisfied and unlikely to return.

Disappointing First Impression at 34 Mayfair I had high expectations for 34 Mayfair, but unfortunately, our experience started on the wrong foot due to the hostess, Veronica. We had a 9:00 PM reservation for four, booked through OpenTable. My mother, an elderly woman with an injured eye who understands English but finds it slightly difficult to speak, arrived just a few minutes early. When my mother mentioned that the reservation was under my name, “Alhanof,” Veronica gave the iPad a quick glance and replied dismissively, “I can’t find your reservation.” Her tone and demeanor were unhelpful and rude—she made no effort to assist or try to understand my mother. Feeling frustrated, my mother called me and handed Veronica the phone. I reiterated the reservation details, but Veronica continued to show no interest in resolving the situation. She handed the phone back to my mother, maintaining an unwelcoming expression, and again stated she couldn’t find the reservation. I arrived shortly after and showed the confirmation email, at which point she reluctantly asked a colleague to escort us to our table. What struck me most was watching Veronica throughout the evening—she warmly greeted every other guest, escorted them to their tables with a smile, and handed them menus. It left me wondering if my mother’s appearance, as a hijabi, influenced her behavior. On a brighter note, our server, Raquel, was fantastic, and the food was excellent—no complaints there. However, the initial encounter with Veronica cast a shadow over the evening and ruined the ambiance. First impressions matter, and this experience was disappointing. I hope the restaurant addresses such behavior to ensure all guests are treated with respect and hospitality.

The food was delicious, all the dishes we ordered were delicious, the Caesar salad was normal, the service was great, but the receptionist Veronica, when we asked her about the reservation, denied that we had our reservation while we were booking online until my daughter came and told her about our reservation. After that, she told us that the reservation was in place.

Everything was just ‘ok’. The restaurant itself has certainly got the ‘Wow factor’, however, you cannot help but get the feeling that if you are not spending hundreds/thousands of pounds like some of the obviously wealthier diners (the table next to us had a bill of over £700 for 2 people), then your business is not as important. The food was nice, but only as nice as the food I’d get from a local Italian for a fraction of the price with a more personal service and a warmer atmosphere. Overall, a very satisfactory experience, nice food and ok service but the atmosphere felt welcoming to only that of the ‘upper class’. Would I return… maybe I will find myself in there again one day… I’m not desperate to go back though unfortunately.

We called ahead to notify the restaurant that we would be 10 minutes late due to traffic. Despite this courtesy, we were repeatedly reminded—both when we arrived and again while ordering—that we were on a “tight timeline.” This created an unnecessary sense of urgency during what should have been a leisurely two-hour reservation. To add insult to injury, we still left well within the allotted time, yet the constant pressure was exhausting. The environment didn’t help either. Where we were seated was uncomfortably cold, which I mentioned to the staff several times, but nothing was done to address it. The real slap in the face came when I noticed that the table next to us, who arrived after us and were not celebrating a special occasion, were presented with a complimentary birthday sorbet. This was particularly galling because I had specifically noted on our reservation that this was a special birthday dinner. When I politely raised this with the staff, their dismissive response was, “I know it’s your birthday, but we’re very busy tonight.” A truly appalling way to treat paying customers, let alone someone celebrating a milestone. We paid an eye-watering bill along with the service charge, but this was an experience I wouldn’t repeat for free. Great food is meaningless when the service is this horrendous. Avoid this place if you value being treated with basic respect, especially on a special day.

I was drawn to this restaurant by its social media posts and website, both advertising an immersive Christmas experience with decor set to start on November 4. We planned an evening around it and booked a table with a steep 50-pound-per-person cancellation fee, only to arrive and find… no decor. When I politely asked about it, the staff informed me it had been pushed back to November 14—with no apologies or attempt to make things right, despite this being our main reason for visiting. The disappointing experience didn’t end there. From that moment on, the waiter I spoke to avoided eye contact, and we were basically ignored. Despite ordering multiple courses and drinks (as we were too hungry and invested to cancel), we watched other tables get attentive service, while we sat waiting. To make matters worse, the food was subpar. The scallops had grit—a choice recommended by the staff over the ravioli, which we were told wasn’t ideal for sharing. The fries with my steak frites arrived cold and flavorless. My husband’s Korean spatchcocked chicken was the only redeeming part of the meal: tender, well-seasoned, and flavorful. Still, we spent most of our time observing the wait staff joking around and celebrating a “BIG” customer, while treating us as an afterthought. Top tips: 1. Don’t trust the hype on social media, and definitely don’t trust a restaurant’s website. 2. Spend your money somewhere that values all its guests.
