Had the salmon starter, it was a delight. Also had the fish fillet which was very nice. Partner loved her mushroom soup and chicken main. Decor was amazing

Very disappointed. I’ve been here 4 times before and would always bring family and friends visiting to this restaurant but I will not come back after our last visit. The ladies at the front were unnecessarily rude when asked a question about the indoor vs outdoor seating - I think they need a reality check to be honest. We asked the waiter for an additional drink twice before giving up (we never received it). Bottom line is - london has a great option space for amazing restaurants that have it all (decor, food, service etc) and this place is simply just not worth it anymore

Victims of TikTok No christmas decoration at all as shown in TikTok, very plain and classy. Food was ok, Caesar salad didn’t taste as Caesar’s dressing, chicken well cooked but more time would be perfect. Cocktails taste more soft drink than alcohol. They charge you 2 pounds as a “cover” when you eat there and not to mention gratuity as well. We arrived 5 minutes early than our reservation and we had to wait 15 minutes to be seated.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Argentinian steak at 34 Mayfair was halal—and it was perfection on a plate! Ordered medium, and the chef absolutely nailed it. The meat was tender, juicy, and paired with a sauce that was nothing short of incredible. Hands down, a steak worth coming back for. On the flip side, the Korean BBQ spatchcock chicken was a bit of a letdown. It lacked the bold flavor and depth you’d expect from a dish with "Korean BBQ" in the name—definitely a "one and done" item for me. The service? Flawless. Attentive, professional, and added to the overall experience. At £34 for a steak in Mayfair, it’s well-priced for the quality and location. I’ll be returning, but I’m sticking to that steak! They do sneakily add on a £2 cover charge per person for bread which isn’t voluntary but just brought to the table- would be nice if they offered or explained it’s not free!

Incredibly disappointed! Came Sunday December 15 around 1 p.m. and staying in London for a week we had planned to eat there every lunchtime but given the friendliness of the lady at the reception who is cold as a prison door we will not come back!!!! And I’m not even talking about the other waiters… 25 minutes to get a coke! Which is served to us in a glass with a ton of ice and above all without bubbles!!! For the damn sum of 15 pounds!!! Theft!!! The French are obviously not welcome here so abstain if you want to have a good time and not get robbed! Too bad the plates served were beautiful.

Disappointing. Were seated 15 mins after our booking time. We wanted to go straight for mains, but were “prompted” to order starters as the kitchen was busy and would be waiting a while for our mains. The sommelier was rude, dismissive, uninterested, unprofessional and unaccommodating when we asked to try some wines. Food was mediocre at best. Truffle mac and cheese tasted of artificial truffle oil, and lacking any other flavour. If you’re used to the real deal - you’ll know the difference straight away. Many better places in London.

Disappointing Experience From the moment we walked in, the service was poor and unwelcoming. The atmosphere amongst the staff was tense and uncomfortable, and our waiter seemed visibly annoyed throughout. As someone who is gluten-free, I mentioned my dietary requirements when we were seated, yet I wasn’t offered any gluten-free bread while my friend had her bread basket. I asked for some while waiting for my main meal, and when it arrived, the bread was actually quite nice—but then my poached egg on toast arrived without any bread. When I asked about it, I was told I’d already had “my bread.” I had to reorder bread to go with my meal and ended up waiting 15 minutes for it to arrive. A different waiter eventually came over to apologies, which was appreciated, but our original waiter was rude, unhelpful, and had the worst attitude throughout the experience. The food was nice, but the poor service and unprofessional behavior completely ruined the meal. I won’t be coming back. My friend requested the service charge be removed when the bill came- the same waiter questioned her why with the same poor attitude. Will not return and would not recommend!

Food was lovely … service was rushed and clearly just trying to get the customers in and out in time for the next booking . Erreur on bills charged for drinks that we didn’t have , also asked for 4 glasses of house wine , our fault not to check but got charged 92£ for 4 mini glasses of wine … more than the price of champagne and cocktails . They should have warned us but instead just pointed at the price on wine menu that we hadn’t looked at !! Our fault but a gesture would have been nice ..

Booked a reservation via site and open table. Thought I booked an indoor room as it was for early December but it turns out they have outdoor seating and it defaulted me to sit outdoors. The email confirmation didnt show this nor was it clearly displayed else where. I probably should have looked harder myself but visiting london from the US in the middle of the winter youd expect to sit inside most places. Esp high end Resturant's. Was placed outside in the corner where obvi the heaters dont reach. The host was nice enough to give me and my wife a blanket each. Still sucked having to eat with a blanketc hat, scarf and jacket on. Got the Korean bbq chicken. Was small, no meat and not filling. Waste of money imo. Wife got a decent fillet but asked for two side sauce options. Only one came out. No one ever checked on us so couldnt even ask for the second one. Ordered desert. Wanted to get a seasonal fruit plate with a mango sobert and wife wanted to try the cheesecake. Only the cheesecake came out. Im writing this review as i finish eating so no idea if they are going to charge me for the seasonal friit that never came. Save your money and go else where.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at 34 Mayfair. The staff was shockingly disrespectful and rude, showing a complete lack of helpfulness. Moreover, the service on the terrace was non-existent, adding to the overall negative encounter. It's disheartening to receive such poor treatment from a restaurant that should prioritize customer service. My visit left me deeply unsatisfied and unlikely to return.

Disappointing First Impression at 34 Mayfair I had high expectations for 34 Mayfair, but unfortunately, our experience started on the wrong foot due to the hostess, Veronica. We had a 9:00 PM reservation for four, booked through OpenTable. My mother, an elderly woman with an injured eye who understands English but finds it slightly difficult to speak, arrived just a few minutes early. When my mother mentioned that the reservation was under my name, “Alhanof,” Veronica gave the iPad a quick glance and replied dismissively, “I can’t find your reservation.” Her tone and demeanor were unhelpful and rude—she made no effort to assist or try to understand my mother. Feeling frustrated, my mother called me and handed Veronica the phone. I reiterated the reservation details, but Veronica continued to show no interest in resolving the situation. She handed the phone back to my mother, maintaining an unwelcoming expression, and again stated she couldn’t find the reservation. I arrived shortly after and showed the confirmation email, at which point she reluctantly asked a colleague to escort us to our table. What struck me most was watching Veronica throughout the evening—she warmly greeted every other guest, escorted them to their tables with a smile, and handed them menus. It left me wondering if my mother’s appearance, as a hijabi, influenced her behavior. On a brighter note, our server, Raquel, was fantastic, and the food was excellent—no complaints there. However, the initial encounter with Veronica cast a shadow over the evening and ruined the ambiance. First impressions matter, and this experience was disappointing. I hope the restaurant addresses such behavior to ensure all guests are treated with respect and hospitality.

The food was delicious, all the dishes we ordered were delicious, the Caesar salad was normal, the service was great, but the receptionist Veronica, when we asked her about the reservation, denied that we had our reservation while we were booking online until my daughter came and told her about our reservation. After that, she told us that the reservation was in place.

Everything was just ‘ok’. The restaurant itself has certainly got the ‘Wow factor’, however, you cannot help but get the feeling that if you are not spending hundreds/thousands of pounds like some of the obviously wealthier diners (the table next to us had a bill of over £700 for 2 people), then your business is not as important. The food was nice, but only as nice as the food I’d get from a local Italian for a fraction of the price with a more personal service and a warmer atmosphere. Overall, a very satisfactory experience, nice food and ok service but the atmosphere felt welcoming to only that of the ‘upper class’. Would I return… maybe I will find myself in there again one day… I’m not desperate to go back though unfortunately.

A Miserable Experience for a Special Occasion Food: 10/10 Service: 0/10 If you’re celebrating a special occasion, do not choose this restaurant. While the food was undeniably excellent, the service turned what should have been an enjoyable evening into a stressful, rushed ordeal that left a sour taste in our mouths. We called ahead to notify the restaurant that we would be 10 minutes late due to traffic. Despite this courtesy, we were repeatedly reminded—both when we arrived and again while ordering—that we were on a “tight timeline.” This created an unnecessary sense of urgency during what should have been a leisurely two-hour reservation. To add insult to injury, we still left well within the allotted time, yet the constant pressure was exhausting. The environment didn’t help either. Where we were seated was uncomfortably cold, which I mentioned to the staff several times, but nothing was done to address it. The real slap in the face came when I noticed that the table next to us, who arrived after us and were not celebrating a special occasion, were presented with a complimentary birthday sorbet. This was particularly galling because I had specifically noted on our reservation that this was a special birthday dinner. When I politely raised this with the staff, their dismissive response was, “I know it’s your birthday, but we’re very busy tonight.” A truly appalling way to treat paying customers, let alone someone celebrating a milestone. We paid an eye-watering bill along with the service charge, but this was an experience I wouldn’t repeat for free. Great food is meaningless when the service is this horrendous. Avoid this place if you value being treated with basic respect, especially on a special day.

I was drawn to this restaurant by its social media posts and website, both advertising an immersive Christmas experience with decor set to start on November 4. We planned an evening around it and booked a table with a steep 50-pound-per-person cancellation fee, only to arrive and find… no decor. When I politely asked about it, the staff informed me it had been pushed back to November 14—with no apologies or attempt to make things right, despite this being our main reason for visiting. The disappointing experience didn’t end there. From that moment on, the waiter I spoke to avoided eye contact, and we were basically ignored. Despite ordering multiple courses and drinks (as we were too hungry and invested to cancel), we watched other tables get attentive service, while we sat waiting. To make matters worse, the food was subpar. The scallops had grit—a choice recommended by the staff over the ravioli, which we were told wasn’t ideal for sharing. The fries with my steak frites arrived cold and flavorless. My husband’s Korean spatchcocked chicken was the only redeeming part of the meal: tender, well-seasoned, and flavorful. Still, we spent most of our time observing the wait staff joking around and celebrating a “BIG” customer, while treating us as an afterthought. Top tips: 1. Don’t trust the hype on social media, and definitely don’t trust a restaurant’s website. 2. Spend your money somewhere that values all its guests.

Great set menu for lunch, but the A la carte menu is delightful and varied too; seafood, meat, vegetable, and poltury. Enjoyed the mushroom soup, solid texture. Went for the Sirloin Steak, which was cooked to perfection. As expected service was outstanding (would give more than 5 stars).

Ideal place for a lunch whether it's the long or short version. Lovely steak, great wine selection and excellent vibrant atmosphere.

£25 for two ravioli pasta parcels. We laughed when the waitress told us this is all we'd be served. We remained very hungry having just paid £25 for two pieces of pasta which tasted very bland. We were genuinely offended. We then ordered a Wagyu mac and cheese which was chewy, and smothered with barbecue sauce completely ruining the taste. The service was immaculate however - the waiters and waitresses almost felt sorry for us that we spendt £25 on two pieces of pasta, and £38 on mac and cheese! 34Mayfair need to reconsider their price point as we will never return. We dine in Mayfair monthly, and it was genuinely a shame to see such a beautiful restaurant be ruined by bad pricing and food.

Dear Management, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the treatment I received during my recent visit to your restaurant on 22/09/2024. Unfortunately, the manager on duty, Mika, was unprofessional and rude to me during our interaction. When I politely brought up an issue with my order, the manager's response was dismissive and lacked courtesy. This behaviour left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome, which is far from the experience I expect when dining at your establishment. As a customer, I believe that respect and professionalism should tu be at the forefront of any interaction. I sincerely hope this matter is addressed, and that steps are taken to ensure a more respectful and pleasant experience for all future guests. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I would appreciate a response regarding how this situation will be handled. I literally spent over 1k today and don’t believe this is the right customer service I deserve. Burnt Sunday roast - what a joke! Underhand tactics.. must be desperate. Last time I gave a 5 star review - despite poor service. This time it’s down to two stars. Service was better and maybe too much in your face… however the food quality and set up has gone down. There are far less people coming because of this. The steaks are poached and then grilled - you see this. Food was above average but not for high end standards. Drinks were inconsistent- small glass mocktails full of ice. Duck salad cold and full of fat. Margarita pizza with ricotta cheese, etc,etc

Had an ok meal on the night of our 40th wedding anniversary. The welcome was warm (once we had sorted out we weren’t in the event upstairs and had actually booked to have dinner), and the service was attentive (bordering on rushed). The starters were fantastic which gave us great expectations for our mains. However, they brought the wrong side dish for my wife, no serving spoon for mine, my wife’s meal was a bit overcooked (but still ok) but my halibut on the bone had numerous small bones which I wasn’t warned of. In fairness the staff were very apologetic and didn’t charge for the sides, which was nice of them and not something we asked for), and the overall ambience was great, just a bit disappointing in comparison with when I had eaten there previously. i would go back again but would ask more questions about the menu options. .

Unfortunately, I expected better service for the money. Side dishes were placed on the tables and then shuffled around, some arriving late. Same for drinks.

So far the best meal of our stay in London. The meat is tasty and tender, perfect! All in a very beautiful art deco atmosphere. The service is also very pleasant, thanks again to the whole team at 34 Mayfair, especially to Jaime who took care of us.

Food was okay so I’ll give it a three. Should have given it one star for the rude hostess that was there at 5pm when we first came in. There was literally only one table filled I asked for a table by the window and she refused because those are for guests with 6 people. NO ONE WAS IN THE RESTAURANT. They crammed us next to the only people sitting in the restaurant. We are and spent about a little over an hour there and only one man walked in and went to the bar. Instead of catering to non existent guests maybe make sure the people that bothered to come to the restaurant are happy. Do better. We definitely won’t be back.

The outdoor seating is nice, especially since the street is quiet, the staff is nice even with children, the food is delicious and clean, especially the burrata and burgers, a complete experience and a new favorite restaurant 💯

The restaurant has a very cool atmosphere. We ate very rich. As a starter, Caesar salad and wedge salad. For main dishes, ribeye, New York, chicken, for sides, potatoes and cabbage. For dessert, chocolate ice cream and cheesecake to share. Martini appetizers, and a bottle of wine. What was very rude of the waiter is that there was still 1/4 of the bottle of wine left. He had already brought the bill and had looked twice to see if I had already paid, which seemed bad to me. Well, you could have the table in the reservation for two hours.

The food is good, though not exceptional, and predictably overpriced for this type of restaurant. The service is decent but not remarkable. In Mayfair, there are several alternatives at the same level that offer a better dining experience at a more reasonable price.

We went as a party of three on a Thursday night. Firstly the dining room, it is stunning, warm and buzzing - 34 Mayfair was packed. The service was swift, polite, professional and nothing was too much to ask. The food was fantastic, we had seafood starters and meat mains and everything was very well executed. The only downside would be the rather punchy, in terms of price, wine list. All in all a great evening and we will go back!

Absolutely one of the best meals we had in London. Sophisticated atmosphere, every aspect was top notch. We had burrata to start, 34 hamburger and steak. Everything was absolutely delightful.

Possibly one of my favourite restaurants in London. The cheesecake is exceptional and is almost worth visiting for that alone. Delicious oysters and a great menu.

Food was really good, the sauces that accompanied all the dishes were super flavourful and complemented the dish immensely!! On top of the rib eye we ordered we ordered the lamb as well. The lamb didn’t have any gamy taste and basically melted in our mouths.

Bartender (Axel i believe was his name) was phenomenal. Made delicious drinks, incredibly personable and was a fun personality to engage with.

Wow …. A fantastic experience. My workplace had an event here, I travelled 3 hours and I was certainly very happy I made it. What a fabulous venue and location. I was very impressed with the atmosphere and fine details everywhere! The drinks were lovely, wine was great and the Scottish lager was very nice. Now for the best part, the food was superb ! Amazing flavours and great combination across the 3 courses. The people were more than friendly, it was a tremendous evening. Would I recommend this restaurant, 200% yes. Well done 34 Mayfair !
