Bardzo fajny pub. Dużo miejsca w środku jak i w ogrodzie. Śmiało można przyjść większą grupą, bo miejsce się znajdzie. Obsługa bardzo miła i pomocna (naładowali telefon, opowiedzieli o fajnych miejscówkach, okolicy i piwie:). W lokalu jest czysto i ładnie pachnie. Toalety czyste. Polecam ten pub. Jak będę w okolicy na pewno wpadnę na piwko.

Staff didn't pay attention to me at all. Came during not busy hours, place wasn't full. Had to draw attention to staff to even get a menu. Wasn't asked what I wanted to drink. After I got the menu the waiting continued and had to draw attention again. After main I ordered a desert. Took like 25min or so. Staff was friendly to talk to though. Food quality was okay, not the best I had but decent. Vibe in the establishment is good. Nice music, not to loud and nice decorations. Based on my current experience hard to recommend.

Richard 1st is an amazing pub. Plenty of space, great atmosphere, beautiful decoration, good selection of beer and soft drinks, and EXCELLENT food. I am vegetarian and they always have great veggie and vegan options. I totally recommend it.

I love this friendly pub with very nice staff, great range of food drinks and events and lovely garden. Maybe just more questions on things I know about in the pub quiz so I don’t keep coming last. Books and musicals should do it 😂

I'd like to say the best pub in Greenwich, but I certainly can't argue with the view of the “Trafalgar Tavern”. Anyway this pub has a fantastic garden, a special Sunday roast but even better is their service. Congratulations to the General Manager who carries out his work in a professional manner and manages to make every customer happy. Obviously congratulations also to all the rest of the team.

I’m a professional woman of colour in my fifties fighting cancer and undergoing chemotherapy. During October I decided to go to this local pub for a quiet drink with my small dog. After ordering my drink at the bar, a man and woman started to verbally abuse me. The attack was completely unprovoked. The verbal abuse continued throughout my drink being made, whilst I was sat at a table. I was so scared, I didn’t get up to get my drink because I didn’t want to walk past the man and woman abusing me. The man called me a “b*tch” and a “c*nt” and the abuse continued until they left. No one spoke up or defended me throughout the attack. One member of staff eventually asked the man to “leave it”. They left when they finished their drinks and as they passed called me a “c*nt”. I didn’t say anything throughout. I am not sure if this was a racist attack or because I was a female on my own but I do know I don’t feel safe at this pub or walking past it. I have never experienced this kind of verbal abuse as an adult. It really shook me up and upset me. What was meant to be a moment of forgetting about my cancer became a really awful experience. Probably the worst thing was that no one defended me or stopped the abuse. Sending a clear signal to the abusers that this was acceptable behaviour in this pub. I live a few roads away and feel the lack of action by the staff speaks volumes. I now regularly visit Greenwich Grind where I feel really safe and looked after. I know the staff there would speak up if anyone (poc, LGBTQ etc) was attacked. I left Richard 1st in floods of tears that day. I tried to contact the management to discuss what happened but we couldn’t find a convenient time. I felt it wasn’t important to them. I will never set foot in here again.

As always a warm welcome from bar staff. A lovely friendly pub. Our favourite pub - we wish we could move it over the river to the Isle of Dogs so it was even nearer to us.

This is our local pub and the food is consistently excellent. Staff are attentive, friendly and professional and there’s a very good selection of wines, etc. The pub has a mix of the original building and the more modern part at the rear and both are equally as cosy. The garden is lovely in the summer and we often try to go once a week for lunch there as a Friday treat. I’ve lived near plenty of other pubs in London and never rated the food but Richard 1st stands out. The best chips ever - my little boy loves them(!). A brilliant local where everything is done to a very high standard.

We popped in for a couple of drinks not intending to stay long and ordered Espresso Martinis. They were amazing so we stayed for more! We were served by Jess who is really friendly and welcoming. She can make any cocktail you want so we will be returning over the Christmas period to sample more!

Visited this pub yesterday evening for some festive drinks. Exceptional service from Jess who made our cocktails for the entire evening. The cocktails were delicious and she accommodated the Xmas theme with some creative tastes!! The cocktails arrived promptly as we ordered in advance to ensure the evening did not end up going dry!

Starters were disappointing ketchup used on prawn cocktail steak dinner with double cooked chips came out with oven fries deserts bread and butter pudding came out solid and sticky toffee pudding was very burnt didn’t taste of toffee at all will not recommend it we will not be visiting again battered fish had no taste lots of money very poor food My first visit over two years was good so I can honestly say the was very poor

Fantastic roast lunch and great service as always. This is our favourite Sunday lunchtime place. We went with friends who have only been once before, and they loved it too. Roast beef, veggie roast and fish & chips - recommended.

What an incredible gem of a pub! We have been waiting long pubs to reopen and this was our first visit after the lock down! it was by far the best Sunday roast i have had in a while. the service was very friendly and efficient and the range of drinks was very good.We cant wait to be back!

We went to this pub, which we have previously enjoyed, for our first post lockdown meal. Though staff were good, and clearly explained the COVID policies in place, the food took 90 minutes to come, and when it did come only three of four meals arrived. Each meal was missing at least one of the sides it was advertised with (mains priced at £15, so not the cheapest), and one meal came a further 15 minutes late, also missing sides. All of us felt we could have had better food from a Wetherspoons or fast food outlet. It was a thoroughly disappointing experience, which left us looking for a new local.

Had a really lovely meal here before the end of lockdown with some friends. Fish and chips were great (although I’m just not a fan of mushy peas but that’s just me). We were lucky to have the chirpy nick as our waiter - thankfully rugby was cancelled tonight! Katie xx

Booked for my birthday, wish I didn’t. Had a terrible experience. We were met by a terribly rude and abrupt waiter. Secondly our food was so salty, some things were completely inedible. Upon complaining, the waiter was so rude to us, luckily the manager was very nice and sorted it out. The pub is forgetting that we are paying customers, treat us with respect, we not there for a free meal, actually paying for everything.

We had a lovely Sunday roast. Everything is well organised with a one way system & table service. Service was really efficient and Nick was very friendly and helpful.

Jack to the rescue! We were enjoying our lovely meal when the breeze picked up. We found ourselves rather chilly sat outside. I struggled to get the heater to work while others looked on and laughed. Luckily one of the kind staff (called jack) came over to help. He got that bad boy up and running In no time. I felt rejuvenated and youthful again. Ready and ripe for dessert I was. Many thanks to that young whipper snapper.

Excellent food, friendly staff and lovely outdoors. Crispy fresh fish and the chicken pie was amazing, and huge! Nice to visit again and see that they have improved their food game significantly. It was a busy Bank holiday Monday on the last day of the Eat out scheme, so food did take a while to arrive but it was well worth the wait. People complaining about a busy team not being able to spoon feed them on a hectic day should really stay at home and choose a quieter day to visit. Definitely recommend.

We are a family of four adults and one young baby. We arrived on time for our booking and 1.5 hours later we had only progressed as far as a starter. When the starter of baked camembert was delivered we were not given any cutlery to eat it with. The waitress just plonked it on the table and then shot off before we could ask for cutlery. It took two requests from other members of staff before we manged to get any means of eating our food. When we eventually had our main course delivered the chips were tepid with all four meals. The burgers were very tasty but the meat was full of gristle and small slivers of bone. The steak was very chewy and the fish and chips tepid. We had paid for 3 hours of parking and so had to leave before ordering any dessert due to the slow service. Worst meal in ages.......In their defence, it was Bank Holiday Monday and they were very busy but then all of the diners were pre-booked and so it is not as if a coach party had suddenly descended upon them and so they were expecting a busy lunchtime and should have prepared for it, or not accepted so many bookings.

Lived in Greenwich for over 5 years now and this continues to be a firm favourite. Great for drinks, Sunday lunch or a Saturday night meal. I’ve been really impressed with their Covid-19 procedures and the staff continue to take these seriously which has made me feel very safe and confident eating there. At the same time, whilst keeping customers safe they have also been able to maintain the relaxed, sociable feel that this pub has. Great pub, great staff and great food! And thank you for how much thought has gone into keeping your staff and customers safe!

A fabulous experience I had in this upstanding establishment. With an eclectic array of alcoholic beverages and a food menu to seemingly no end. Verily, I say onto you, do not deprive your deserving taste tentacles and I urge - launch oneself at the wares on offer here! The plant burger I thoroughly recommend but for my carnivorous friends I raise you the steak options.
