Nowhere in the area offers such excellent brunch and café food at such a reasonable price. The staff are lovely too.

The cafe is great and staff is lovely, but I suspect the eggs were microwaved, the butter wasn't a real butter and so on.

Super friendly and great coffee the food looks awesome here too. Just a short walk over the bridge to Richmond river

I come to Richmond every Saturdays and every time I come I always try and dine at this cafe because the owners and staff are lovely. Great food, great portions and value for money.

The staff here are so friendly. We love coming in regularly for a bite to each at lunch. There is a wide selection of sandwiches, salads, baked potatoes and bakery items, and the staff are flexible in providing what you would like. It's pretty good value for the area, too. Nothing fancy, but reliably good classics.

Good breakfast and reasonable prices.

First time visit to this place on a Sunday morning around 1040am! Please to say this Café was open (and probably the only decent cafe that is open on a Sunday Morning. Service was very efficient, friendly and informative and the walk. We ordered bacon rolls and coffee and both were lovely! Would defo recommend and will be stopping off here next time when I’m in the area.

I visit ""rich cafe"" with my lady once and never again because 1st not very hygienic, 2nd the lady in her 50s (looks like the owner) she was rude, 3rd i was overcharged and 4th the (nowhere else 4£) oat-late was thrown in the bin, the worst and most expensive i ever had (and i have Late every day) . I do not recommend this place. Thanks for owners response! (** I sat outside but ordered INSIDE and I used the toilet INSIDE **) I wish you good luck!

My wife and I are not local and came to Rich Cafe by chance after our car suffered a puncture on the A316. After being recovered and taken to a local KwikFit and whilst the very good boys there did their job, my wife Kathy and I went looking for a cup of tea. We found this delightful Cafe where we received a very welcoming greeting. Clearly, a very popular establishment. Although not looking to eat, my wife persuaded me to share a homemade cake which was delicious. Very friendly people. I highly recommend this cafe. Hopefully it will not take another mishap with our car to make us visit at some time in the future.

Had a full English today, absolutely superb. Will be back, great choices, good cuppa and really friendly. See you again soon!

Really good breakfast the best I've had from a cafe in a long time sausage was something else

Looks appealing but when you go inside it does not match the expectation, I’m afraid :( As soon as I walked it it smelt of toilet cleaning product (mix of bleach + air freshener). The smell didn’t go away throughout my stay there. The displayed item/menu board was too busy that I could not see the menu properly! Coffee was average. Not many selection of sweet/cakes. Muffin looked stale and half burnt. There were two members of staff who were both busy on their phone and talking too loudly that killed the ambience. Not visiting again, sorry :(

Me and my wife came for breakfast this morning for the first time, I just want to say it was great, the food was hot the tea was hot a nice relaxing atmosphere well done, Bill's and the Ivy need to take a leaf out of your book.

Rich cafe is a decent place. Price/quality ratio is good. Owners are friendly and their espresso is way much better than the cafe on the other side of the road. You can also find two daily news papers to read and can meet nice friends.

Oh, it was lovely! They make an amazing americano, that you can enjoy while floating in the friendly Richmond tranquility. They were really nice, and allowed me to have my Auntie Anne's pretzel at the table. One thing I need to mention though... The bathroom window looks as if it was taken out of an old vampire movie... When they manage to get back on their feet I really hope that they will do something about it...

Went here for breakfast just before lockdown . Staff were friendly and helpful and portions were good sized . Got the full English which was a filling plate full . I'd definitely go back again

Dishonest shop keepers, AVOID... Paid for two coffees and lady just pressed button twice with the same coffee pod. Really bad taste..

Gem of a café! Such friendly, lovely staff. Made us feel so at home. We had some laughs. Menu had great range of choices, made easier that soup had run out . I went for jacket potato, which was delicious. Mum chose a panini & Auntie Sue had quiche! All dishes looked scrumptious. Cakes & pastries were a must! Thank you so much. Hope you survive these strange times we live in.

We came in for lunch and I had a wrap with falafel , hummus and avocado which was excellent and my wife had a panini with halloumi and tomato. The cappuccino was delicious too.

I've been here three times and no probs. Nice owner who gives the place personality and not a bad little breakfast. Seating outside for summertime and smokers. Nice coffee. Parking is not the easiest, but that's not a reflection of the cafe. Wide ranging menu for breakfast and lunch.

I have only really had the breakfasts in this cafe. It's ok and pip in because it is local to my place of work. I gave it five stars as the staff are very friendly and they work hard.

Only stopped here while my car was being MOT'd at the Richmond Bridge MOT Centre. Staff were ok but we got the impression that they couldn't care less if we were there or not. Food was nice though.

The owners are lovely and will accomodate all of your needs. His board is full of the food he prepares but I like things with extras like tabasco and honey, etc. He went out of his way to ensure they were there the next time. It is busy and that says everything. The food is great, service fantastic and great location for Richmond. Definitely worth a visit. I have been going there since I moved to this area 2 years ago...always consistent.

This was my first visit to the Rich Cafe today, but it won’t be my last.I was meeting a business colleague and it was her recommendation to meet there and enjoy brunch.We both went for the Full English, and I had tea, whilst my colleague had coffee.Mario was a great host and with his colleague, offered great, friendly, service with a smile.Our meals were well presented and were plentiful.I’d definitely go back and I’ll attempt to make this a regular place to visit.Highly recommended to anyone!

I stopped in here for a mid-morning coffee and a slice of strudel while my wife was off in Richmond - both were very nice. While in there, I was struck by how friendly the staff were (one of whom was the owner, I believe) and how many of the folk who stopped in were obviously regulars, greeted warmly and by name, including Doris, who sat at the table next to me and ordered a mushroom omelette. Now, I love an omelette, almost as much as Doris did, and it did look good, so I finished up and said I might be back with the Mrs for a lunchtime omelette of my own.I met up with Mrs M, we did what we had to do, then I talked her into grabbing a bite before we headed home. So, off we went again to Rich Café.I ordered an omelette and she set about a sausage roll, which arrived first, having not eaten all morning. Then, she fainted. Properly, eye-rollingly fainted, completely unconscious and unresponsive, just as my omelette arrived.The staff couldn’t have been more helpful, bringing water, calling an ambulance, helping us to a comfy sofa in the back of the cafe etc and, once the Mrs was back with us and feeling OK, having her obs done in the back of the ambulance, they happily boxed up my omelette to take home.When we got home, the wife finished her sausage roll and is now curled up on the sofa asleep (don’t worry, I’m checking on her regularly); I reheated the omelette and tucked in, fearing it might have suffered with the delay, the journey, the microwaving etc. I needn’t have worried - it was delicious!I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place and will definitely return, hopefully with less drama next time.If you’re the owner reading this, just keep doing what you’re doing - brilliant work.If you’re Doris, thanks for the steer on the omelette :-)

I came into this basic looking cafe for a chicken escalope panini which was well filled with chicken, roasted peppers and cheese and served in very crisp bread. Excellent value at £4.50 eat in.

This cafe is a pleasant discovery to me. The veggie wrap I ordered was delicious, will definitely be coming back.

Went there on Sunday with my wife and the man at the counter would not come over to take our order. I am just used to people doing that I guess. I thought he was a miserable sod. It spoiled my breakfast. It is supposed to be the hospitality business.

I visited with my son and his family for brunch. Although no longer living in Richmond, they continue to visit this unassuming cafe not far from the river. I can see why. The staff are welcoming and friendly and the food is just what you would expect from a local cafe. I opted for an all day breakfast. Although not advertised, my son asked if a vegetarian option was available and was presented with a full and varied platter. The accommodating staff were attentive and friendly but not intrusively so. Other diners ordered full lunches (lasagne) and Danish pastries and coffee. The relaxed atmosphere is conducive to people watching, working or catching up with friends. I am already looking forward to my next visit.

I read the reviews online and decided to pop in and have an early full English breakfast and a small ern of tea to drink Must say staff member was great and friendly listened how my breakfast should be cooked Had 🥓 fried egg and fresh fried tomatoes sausages fresh fried mushrooms all were cooked exactly as requested I knew I was in for treat of a meal when I saw the Heinz ketchup and the Pg tips tea bag and anchor butter one comment about the butter I find anchor spreadable butter easier for convenience not a moan an observation Good prices and food cooked perfectly wouldn't hesitate to eat here again and even bring company along too Maybe get a wall anchor point for bikes As cyclists need to eat to ride and die. Good coffee but lack on service, order scone with cream and jam and served all together like a proper mess

My boyfriend and I had to pop into the kwick fit and as we had a wait he decided he wanted a fry up (his favourite). He absolutely loved the food and as he's the connoisseur I'll believe him. He said he'll definitely remember this place next time we are here.
