Rice & Spice Uckfield in Wealden

Fabulous find. Live near Uckfield for years and have never visited. I was driven by the reviews that are consistent and took a chance. The greeting was lovely and friendly. The seating area clean and fresh. The food was for my daughter mainly, the choice was Korma. It was fresh, the chicken plentiful and the bread was soft and very tasty. Will definitely get another take away and try the chef specials. Highly recommend.

First time using this restaurant. We had ours delivered. It was earlier than estimated time. The food was amazing. I nearly managed to eat all mine (which is unusual for me). Partner said his was lush. Driver was friendly and happy . Will stay using this restaurant.

I ordered a takeaway for myself and my family from here tonight and have to say it was the best Indian takeaway I have ever had. The service was amazing, the portions were big and the taste of the food was amazing. Highly recommend.

First time ordering, delivered on time but unfortunately, the food looked like it had been in a car crash. All lids were open, curry, rice and saag paneer everywhere. Paper carrier bag had disintegrated, curry all over the carpet. What food I did get , was good. I’ll stick to Bengal Spice in future.

I rarely write reviews but was so pleased with the food here that I felt compelled to write one. Food was absolutely lovely- I had chicken tikka with vegetable curry which was amazing. Fast and friendly delivery too- thank you!

I love this place the egg plant dish is the best and all the veggie options. Definitely my new Indian ❤️ I highly recommend. I’ve not eaten such a great Indian since living in Australia, you can really taste the spices and the staff are very helpful.

This is our first time ordering from Rice & Spice, and it definitely won't be our last. The order was delivered at the estimated time, by a very friendly driver. The food was piping hot, and absolutely delicious. One of the best Bhunas I've ever tried, and so full of flavour.

We ordered really late and the food turned up quickly piping hot and was probably the best Indian takeaway we have ever had and we have a lot of Indians. A little on the pricey side but to food really did make up for it.

im a long term indian takeawayer! (is that a word?) and this was the first time ordering from here and the food was superb! i can definitely say THE BEST IN TOWN! and no, im not related, king prawn puri to start delish! followed by murchi murgh main and pilau rice, again absolutely delish! this is now my go-to for indian food for definite!

Thanks for the food. Unfortunately I was very disappointed, the chicken Kashmir had no banana or lychee in it as advertised. Pineapple is not what I wanted or like. The chicken was tough and chewy. The ch t massala and the ch korma were both too sweet even for my kids! The tikka chicken was nice as was the rest of the order. Please don't serve up food that is not as advertised. You had my number and could have called. Regards

Unfortunately this was the blandest most disappointing curry we have ever ordered. Absolutely flavourless. The saag aloo only tasted of over boiled potato and the Rogan Josh tasted of stewed, unseasoned tomato. It did have nice large pieces of chicken but not cheap for such disappointment. We’ll be returning to Uckfield Tandori or Star of Bengal next time.

Will definatly be using again, hot, tasty, and perfectly cooked. Exactly how it should be. 10/10
