Lovely environment and great pints

Very friendly, community pub. Well kept Harvey's. Nice, large garden. No good from the pub, but there's a food van in the car park, untried.

I didn't eat so can't comment on food but the service was poor and the atmosphere unwelcoming. My coke was poured from a plastic bottle, and was flat and warm as a result. The bar was crowded by locals who refused to make space to be served and I didn't feel welcome. There was insufficient car parking.

Such a lovely pub with a genuine community feel to it. Would 100% recommend

They don't serve food! They use to but now there's a burger van just outside in the car park, which serves great food!

Great choice of beer. You can't go wrong with Harvey's ale. Always a good meal to be had in the King's Head. Pop in for a pint ,you won't be disappointed.

Staff not very happy. Went in yesterday for a friends Birthday and the staff just didnt seem happy. Not one smile!

Not as busy as previous years but to be expected at the moment. Just nice to be out enjoying the community in your local pub seeing in the new year.

This is a lovely old fashioned community pub with well kept beer and a massive garden, well worth a visit... especially if you have the family in tow!

A proper real ale pub. Very friendly nothing is too much trouble for the staff.

I visited this pub recently and found flat beer, snacks out of date and dour customer service. The toilets did not look like they were regularly cleaned. Overall it was a poor experience and I wouldn’t visit again.

Ate here recently they have a small menu but the food was really good. They have a proper currywurst on the menu (German curry sausage) I can't remember ever seeing one on any other restaurant another menu around here. Nice pub atmosphere staff are friendly, beer is cold. Worth a visit

First time visit. Friendly staff. Had live entertainment in garden. Pub seemed to be quiet, I guess everyone was outside - very busy outside.

Three great groups of folksingers in the pub garden today. The pub dog was well behaved and very friendly.

Pleasant early evening drink in the garden. Golden sun through the trees oaking the chilled glass of Sauvignon. Kept company by the resident dog. Pleasant company it was too.

Great staff and brilliant food nothing is too much trouble

This was our first time of calling at the King's Head. After having passed by on numerous occasions on route to Eastbourne. What had we missed, on arrival the customer service was excellent. We were directed to a very comfortable table set for two, we ordered stake pie with three veg, which included a choice of potatoes. I have to say this was with out s shadow of doubt the best home made meal we have ever had the pleasure to eat. And I can only say the same for the sweet that followed. I would highly recommend this establishment to any fallow travelers. Amazing food, and the prices are just unbelievable. Kind regards David.

Turned up late afternoon for Sunday dinner no roast spuds as locals had scoffed all the leftovers but had lovely new potatoes instead with the roast lamb and a nice treacle sponge and custard for afters,everything good and judging by the laughing at the bar a great local.

We dropped in on our way to Eastbourne from London. Lovely place run by very nice people. Good food and beer too!

What a fantastic place. I have eaten a few times here now and never been disappointed. Great traditional fayre cooked and served impeccably. The beer is kept to an outstanding quality. Always a very welcoming time from the managers Mark and Anita and their very friendly staff too.

Took my wife for a meal, food was to die for absolutely delicious and big portions.Wife had bacon and leak suet pudding with vegetables and i had sirlion steak with fries and salad cooked to perfection by mark the landlord who is a qualified and top chef. We were made most welcome by mark and anita landlady, and with the lovely atmosphere of pub this pub gets 5 star on a unbiased rating dont take my word try it wont disappoint.
