Busy on a Sat night but service was quick and efficient. Food was very tasty with good options on the menu.

An ok meal, previous takeaways have been quite excellent but having dine in didn’t meet the same standards. Fairly mid tasting curry, very pale naan, and lastluster sides. Overall, just a fairly mid experience.

Faultless. It was exactly what I wanted, every dish was cooked perfectly.

Came here purely based on trip advisor reviews and the website. Was not disappointed! Lovely atmosphere, great service and spectacular food. A great selection of different dishes and a favourites menu. The only negative is that it’s 100 miles away from where I live but I would 1000% come back and recommend this gem of a restaurant to anyone.

This was our 40th anniversary and we chose Amira’s Kitchen on the basis of several previous dinner visits. This time unfortunately our experience was not great - the service was polite but very slow (6.30 pm booking), the food disappointing by comparison with previous visits - in particular the Peshwari Naan was ‘puddingy’, not properly cooked and not of the quality previously enjoyed. My Coconut Chilli King Prawn (not nearly as good as previously) was more than I could eat and I was pleased to accept the offer to take the remainder home. The next day I opened the carton to find only a small amount of rice with only the remnants of our 2 vegetable side dishes! Up to this point we have frequently recommended Amira’s Kitchen to friends, but sadly don’t feel able to do so after our recent visit.

Best takeaway in uckfield maybe even East Sussex. The food is on another level of orgasmicly delicious I can’t stress enough how good it is. Can’t rate the atmosphere as I haven’t actually visited the restaurant but if it’s anything like the food then it will be no doubt five star aswell.

Excellent food in an intimate, personal setting with a relaxing atmosphere. Biggest range of dishes I’ve seen at an Indian with some really unique meals that were all beautifully cooked & presented. Staff very friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Happily bagged up our leftovers and clearly labelled them so there was no confusion the next day too! Great for couples but would be equally good for families and friends too. Can’t recommend highly enough!

We went here for our wedding anniversary on 29th April and were delighted with our experience. This Indian restaurant caters for vegans and the thrill of finding vgn onion bhajis for my husband... is hard to describe 😆 Excellent food, excellent service. We will definitely come back. Thank you 😊

Amira’s Kitchen is nicely decorated, clean and overall a great place to sit down for a meal. The combination of friendly service from the staff and nice food is a winner, definitely visit if you get the chance!

Really lovely, impromptu curry night out with a 5yr old who absolutely loved it. Staff were pleasant and kind to us, food was great - I just couldn't fault it. Poppadoms, two starters, three curries, a rice and two naans plus two kulfis and four drinks for under 100 felt like very good value, and what we didn't eat we brought home with us. Will definitely go back again

A menu with excellent options for all tastes and the food was superbly cooked and tasted sublime. I was surprised it wasn’t busier, but it was Christmas Eve. I wish these food options were available nearer our home town.

Very disappointed in the curries we order today. They had a mealy texture and very bland taste. The vegetables must have been stirred into sauce as they didn’t taste like they had been cooked in them, but despite that, the lack of seasoning didn’t leave much to taste. Sad naans too. Sorry Amira’s. Not going to be back again.

Vegetable korma had very little sauce and really lacked flavour. Although the curry is mild, it should still have depth of flavour. Unfortunately ours tasted watery. The korma included lots of large chunks of potato and onion. 2 tiny vegetable samosas filled with what looked like brown pureed veg for £4. Rice and nann bread good. Total cost just over £21.

Highly recommended!! Amira's kitchen provided event catering for my husband's 50th birthday party off site (36 people). The team were extremely responsive and flexible and provided a 'set up and serve' option including plates/cutlery etc. The food was extremely delicious - definitely some of the best curries we have experienced and highly rated by all attending. Looking forward to visiting the restaurant next time we are in the area.

Very good value for money. The food is very good and is served in generous portions.

My wife and I decided to eat here as were were visiting the area for a few days and didn't want to eat hotel food every night. I booked around lunchtime on Friday 9th June and was very pleased to fnd that, despite it being a Friday evening, the online reservation system immediately accepted my booking. Perhaps the fact that we wanted to eat at 7 p.m. rather than later worked in our favour. When we arrived ( Google Earth, please update your Streetview photos !) we were in fact the first eat-in customers although I think there was one chap awaiting a takeaway. We were made very welcome and swiftly seated in the smart little dining area, and the papadums and menus arrived very promptly. Other customers began to drift in but the service remained fast and it didn't seme like very long at all before our 'mains' arrived. The food was wonderful and the portions were most generous - I managed to finish mine but my wife ran out of room about halfway through hers, lol. Our waiter was kind enough to offer us a doggy bag, which unfortunately we were unable to take him up on as we weren't going home until the following morning. The only part of the meal which took any time was getting coffee and our bill at the end, but by then the dining area was full and the waiters were run off their feet ! So , we left very well-fed and contented and the whole meal had only taken us 90 minutes in total. I'd thoroughly recommend Amira's Kitchen to anyone else who happens to be passing that way, and we won't hesitate to eat there again if ever we are in the area.

Wednesday evening, surprisingly busy as well for about 7pm. We had a dansak, and South Indian Chilli chicken with a naan bread, chapati, pilau rice, lemon rice and onion bhaji. Good size portions and SIC chicken was great. Dansak I thought wasn't so good, a bit peppery and not the sweet and sour flavour I'd expect. The rice and breads were good, but the onion bhajis were large and greasy and not very pleasant. Drinks were a bit pricey as well, but overall cleanliness and service was good. Try it if you're passing by.

What can i say that already hasn't been said! My partner (who is a both a pro at Indian cookery and extremely fussy) said this is was the best curry she had ever had, to which i agree. Thanks for a lovely evening Amira.

I went there with my family and enjoyed a lot! The plates are authentic and delicious. There are “hot” options and “non hot” options for kids. I recommend you reserve a table.

We had a party for sixteen on February 28th all ages , the food as usual was delicious and delivered on time . Several guests had not had Amira’s food before and loved it Thank you Lauren for organising it for us.

What a memorable experience. The food and service was exceptional. We visited for my sons birthday and they made it so special even bought him a cake & card! Highly recommend!

Visited December 2022. Amiras was our favourite local haunt when we lived locally, but now it’s a 4 hour drive, so sadly we don’t eat here often these days. However a couple of days in Uckfield gave us the chance to revisit for dinner. Food was delightful, as always. Coconut and chilli Chicken, king prawn pathia and rice. Pappadoms and bhajis too. Thoroughly enjoyable, and even though the place was quiet in the run up to Christmas, Towfig took the time to come and have a chat to us at the end of the meal. We will return, but sadly not until we are next down here in the South.

Fourth visit, never disappointed. Waiter took the time to explain new dishes. Amazing flavours, great atmosphere and staff really friendly and attentive.

We have just got home from our 38th wedding anniversary meal at Amiras kitchen in Uckfield The meal started off well and our waiter was excellent We cannot fault the food however our meal was completely spoilt by a rowdy bunch of men who thought it was acceptable to use foul language when there were other guests trying to enjoy a quiet evening The management did not step in at all to ask them to curb there language When we left the restaurant and told the manager how upset we were with their behaviour he did not offer any heart felt apology or service recovery We will certainly not be going back to restaurant because of how this incident was handled

Having had high expectations from reading a number of positive reviews, I ordered a takeaway (collection) and sadly the quality of the food was actually extremely poor. When I arrived home I took the cover off the container and the curry had a very odd consistency, other reviews have likened it to baby food - I can verify this. I was also quite shocked at the attire of the staff working in the restaurant, some were in trackies. Unfortunately I will be taking my business elsewhere until they improve.

Another amazing meal at Amira's Kitchen. Staff all really friendly and great range of options including plenty for veggies, really spoilt for choice! Lovely atmosphere, can't wait to go again soon!

Having been here a couple of years ago I couldn't wait to travel down to Sussex to eat from here again. Sadly more disappointed this time but hoping it is a one off. Will be back next year to try again

Warm welcome on arrival and nicely laid out. We ordered 5 different curries between us and all tasted much the same except the butter chicken that was like a Korma. All the curries were very sweet to. Real shame as service was very good but the food let it down.

Staff and service excellent and very welcoming. Sadly the food was pretty poor especially when compared to the likes of Chilli Pickle in Brighton. All curries tasted very similar and were extremely sweet. Butter chicken was essentially a korma. Not very authentic we didn’t feel

Take away was very disappointing, the butter chicken and tikka masala looked like the consistency of baby food (very strange) could not eat them. I have eaten-in here before and was really nice.

Delicious mediterranean cuisine made fresh daily as advertised. Finally this is the spot for many single men that miss their ex wife food or men that married an outside race and can't cook the way mom cooks or for people that want try something new anything with lamb is the best.. even the rotisserie chicken is great

Was local so checked TripAdvisor for high recommendation for good curry house. Found this venue which it was delicious nice portions. Super flavours 😋. Colourful too this restaurant had a lovely feel to it. Staff were very attentive polite and friendly making sure our dining experience was first class 👌 I will be visiting you again thankyou very much

This place is a cosy gem in the centre of Uckfield. The restaurant has an intimate yet family friendly feel and the food was delicious. I had the Chicken Tikka Dhansak and my partner had Chicken Balti. Both were so flavoursome and had the right level of spice and flavour, however they will cook it to your tastes anyway. Staff are extremely friendly and efficient and I would not hesitate to recommend this place for the amazing food. I'm not local but would travel for an Indian restaurant as good as this.

Highly recommend. One of, if not the best curry I have had. The lime pickle with the poppadoms was sublime and the sag aloo equally as good. I had the lamb shank which fell off the bone and my wife had a biryani, which wasn't on the menu, but they made specially. Top marks for taste and service.

The food was amazing. A little spicier than expected, but still lovely. I've never before seen a tofu dish in an Indian restaurant, and it was great with a nice spice warmth together with the garlic and onion flavours. They do quite a number of vegetarian and vegan dishes, of which the tofu dish was one

Got takeaway from here several times during a long trip to UK from Sweden - everything was delicious and the home delivery was super useful and very friendly. Great vegetarian / vegan options. Really wanted to eat in the restaurant one evening, but was a bit tricky travelling with young child - next time!

This used to be my local Indian when I lived here, but now when I visit Uckfield I try to take an occasional meal.Amiras never fails to deliver. Absolutely lovely place.Tonight was no exception. A warm welcome at the door, and first class service throughout the meal.Everything at Amiras is spotlessly clean and the food is excellent.Lovely crispy pappadoms, with dips to die for.Mains were king prawn Pathia, plus coconut and chilli chicken. (Huge dish!)Both were delightful, and we struggled to finish despite sharing a single portion of rice.Washed down with a big Cobra beer and some tap water.The lady of the house visited the loos and declared them “the cleanest ever”. Praise indeed from a real clean freak!,Total bill £36, it was a pleasure to round it up to £40 for the staff.It’s one of the few Uckfield establishments that I miss now we’ve moved away.We most certainly will return……

Amira's Kitchen has just restarted it's 'all you can eat' lunch 12-2pm every Sunday. Amazing value and absolutely incredible food! Love having such a delicious and local family-run business!

We found this lovely restaurant whilst on holiday. The staff were friendly, food was lovely and there were lots of vegan options. Restaurant was clean and nicely decorated with a cosy feel. We’d definitely visit again if we were in the area.

It's okay food wise. I've only ever had takeaways from here. It's never particularly boiling hot, it's hot but not freshly cooked hot. Also, ordered online then arrived 5 mins later, assuming it wouldn't be ready yet but just to pay and wait at their bar, and it was ready... which is good in a way, but also makes me wonder whether it was cooked fresh or not?

Used to be a regular here but moved away, so having to return to Uckfield overnight, came here for supper.In a single sentence, a lovely meal. As good or better than anything I remember.4 dips (lime, mint yoghurt, mango and chopped onion etc) and a couple of crispy pappadoms to start. All delightful.King prawn Pathia and plain rice for a main.Lovely fluffy rice, and a substantial amount of big prawns in the curry. To be honest it was more that I needed but far too good to leave uneaten. And the curry was delicious, adequate heat and a nice sweet tang, just how I like it.Well done to Amiras once again, thoroughly enjoyed it.

The food was flavoursome (paneer main), nicely presented and good sized portions. The spice rating are marked which is helpful. The Merlot wine was better than most places. Our waiters were unobtrusive yet friendly. Wish I could have eaten more! Would definitely return.

We regularly have food from Amiras, as well as visit the restaurant. Firstly whether it is the delivery staff or the restaurant staff they are always polite, professional and friendly. we have now tried many of the dishes, we particularly like the daal based dishes, as well as Saag ones.One of our favourites led us to expand our starters to the paneer ones including chilli paneer, which was amazing and very fresh.The Curry's are tasty, full of flavour and highly recommended. We love to try the specials as they are delicious and not what we would have ordered.Highly recommended!

We visited Amiras Kitchen with family - our first restaurant visit since the first lockdown. We weren't dissapointed; the menu has all the standard dishes you expect but also some specialities none of us had ever come across before, as a family of curry lovers!Not the cheapest option, but not expensive considering the quality of food, great service and range available. We'll be using them for take aways too. If you like good Indian food and want to try something new, this is the place for you.

Had a takeaway last night had very high expectations as we've had meals there in the past. The meal we had last night was tasteless. The nann breads had precious little filling. I had a cheese one and had to look for the cheese when I finally found some it tasted like rubber. My husband had a Keenan bread and there was hardly in meat In it. Very disappointing. Won't use them again for a while.

Food all tasted very fresh! Naan breads were lovely and the meat/veggie platters to start. Very friendly staff and good customer service. Shame we're only visiting the area otherwise we would be back again! We were too full for dessert but it looked very nice!

The sauce was good but they insist on overcooking the chicken so it is dry. Interesting though after previously ordering and not receivable our order, on this occasion we received a dried up chicken Shaslik that we didn’t order. It wasn’t very goodPlease, stop pre cooking all the chicken hours before you get the orders!

We ordered a celebration meal for a birthday, so it was a large order. This was the first time we had used Amira's kitchen and we are so glad we did!The food was ready on time and freshly cooked.Firstly, all the food was delicious and as described on the menu. The starter platters for 2 people (both meat and vegetable) were delicious. Currys were packed with flavour and not at all greasy. Rice was delicious and flavourful. Breads were delicious. Secondly, the quality of the ingredients was exceptional. Fresh vegetables, tender meat and prawns and delicious sauces.This was - by far, the best Indian take-away we've ever had and everything was eaten.I highly recommend.

We’ve now had two superb takeaway meals and we will certainly visit the restaurant when restrictions are eased. Each dish is individual in flavour, beautifully spiced and sauces full of flavour. Would definitely recommend to anyone

We have had 2 deliveries from Amira’s kitchen since moving to the area quite recently.Both times we’ve really enjoyed our meals. It is extremely clear that dishes are made from scratch rather than the same sauce being tweaked for multiple dishes which is our suspicion of other places! Both delivery drivers have been friendly, which gives a good impression straight away. Very tasty food where you can tell that real care has been taken with both mains and sides. Will be using as our regular takeaway and hope to visit when circumstances allow.

Very presentable and descriptive menu on their website, which was easy to order from. The only difficult bit was choosing from a great selection.Timing was spot on - it was delivered when we asked it to be, and we're not easy to find in Isfield...The young lady that delivered was very polite and professional.And to top it all, the food was delicious!Highly recommend and we can't wait for our next one!

We had a takeaway from Amira's last night and it was absolutely superb. My daughter said it was the best curry she's had in a very long time and we really love our curries, although tend to cook mainly at home. I had the King Prawn with Coconut and Chill dish and it was fantastic. I know Amira's Kitchen like to support local farmers and producers wherever possible too so that's another fantastic thing about the restaurant. Highly recommend.

Excellent Lovely and fresh vegetables Very clean Will definitely come again I had a king prawn curry. Well cooked. The broccoli was fresh and I was so impressed as the veg options aren’t always fresh.
