Nice decor and good coffee. However, could have done with more staff as took a while to get served. Would go again if I am in Crewe.

I visited here on Friday and have to say, I was really impressed. First time sat in. I was working at the time Supporting a lovely gentleman, we got served quickly and Rob who served us was very helpful, especially with the App. Will definitely be back again. 😊

I am a regular user of this coffee shop. In my opinion it is the best in the area. Good location and coffee served how you want it. The staff and efficient and friendly. An excellent place with a relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Great coffee. I was looking for a light breakfast and a coffee while I waited for my son to take his driving theory test. I prefer an independent cafe, I'm not keen on the big chains. Ive never been to a Rhode Island Coffee before. The coffee was delicious, lovely, fresh toast, and polite, friendly staff. Would recommend.

Had been planning to come to this cafe for a while and finally did it today. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Good coffee but I wasn’t wowed by the cakes and didn’t order one. Would have liked a good chocolate cake but none available. Layout downstairs good with lots of tables for 1s and 2s. Good location in town and full length windows make for good people watching. Love the quirky mugs display and lighting made out of coffee pots. A bit dark and I would prefer a lighter decor. Will come again especially as now open on a Sunday.

Cannot fault the customer service or the atmosphere. They are extremely friendly, helpful and not pushy. We always visit when in Crewe Town centre.

Me and my partner are regular visitors to Rhode Island, mainly because the staff are friendly and polite, it's a nice place to just relax in, with everywhere nice and clean

The women( blonde) name on badge Aga served been rude. No smile. I understand maybe she is been working all week and tired but c'mon just polite hi would be nice . Ppl who been in queue b4 was english and been served with smile. I am foreign. To me it's sounds like discrimination in it . Shame to company

I had a capuccino and a croque monsieur. Both were delicious. Service was a bit slow which is understandable in view of covid. But staff was very friendly and social distancing rules were in place. Café only accept card payments, which again is to be expected.

I always visit Rhode Island when I am in Crewe. The staff are friendly and very efficient. The ambience is good and the quality of coffee is exceptional It is far better than other chains. I would not go anywhere else.

Younger people working in there who aren’t as polite. They let their friends sit at a close table and chat to them whilst service customers.

Popped in whilst in Crewe shopping centre, tables outside suitably distanced, small range of snacks, ciabattas toasties etc, we had a couple of very nice Croque Monsieurs, all preprepared and warmed up. Very nice coffee.

This shop is situated in the centre of the town centre where we often pop in for a coffee & sometimes something to eat as a snack. The coffee is excellent tastes really good as we enjoy a "flat white" & I have to say the menu is varied from breakfast to hot toastie really nice food.The staff are really helpful / friendly & with a lovely welcoming smile on arrival ( makes all the difference to your day) It is open plan room some informal seating & formal. There is free wifi & daily newspaper. Outside seating. A great place to visit.

I always come here whenever I'm in the centre of Crewe... the staff are superb - really friendly and extremely helpful - and they make a good cup of coffee too. Really great place to come, either with friends to just relax and chat, or on my own for a bit of a chill. Thanks guys.

Came here for a coffee and a light bite. I had a latte and toasted tea cake - latte was tasty whilst the tea cake was light. The butter was already soft (god send) and didn't have to ruin the tea cake trying to spread hard butter.My friend had a bacon roll - the warm food isnt "fresh" buy is pre packaged and then warmed up on hot plates (much like most of the coffee places I have visited). Nothing really wrong with this, but not really what I was expecting. Good service, good coffee, good value. Good to support a good local business

This is a good little coffee shop, they sell great coffee available in 2 sizes and have a few sandwich options also. The staff are friendly and helpful nothing to much trouble

Been here lots over a couple of years and always have a great experience. Plenty of choice of hot and cold drinks, food and cakes. Prices good too. Staff are excellent and always happy to help!

Being ideally situated by the local bookshop, it was inevitable we would visit here. Staff are friendly & the shop is clean. The cakes are a little bit different than the norm; huge points for the white chocolate millionaires style slice! There’s kids books / colouring books to occupy the kids whilst you have a coffee too. I found the coffee itself is much stronger than Costa Coffee & I liked that. The only time I might be persuaded to go to Costa instead is when the Christmas menu is out. All in all a lovely local coffee shop.

Used to have excellent service. Now is normal to below average. Okay for a change from costa or Starbucks. Nothing special in my opinion. Many of the counter staff bring their friends in and just chat to them, sometimes whilst serving customers m. Seen that a couple of times

The food and drinks are of a good quality and the staff are very nice. All diets catered for. With being in the centre of town the location is excellent.

There are few options for coffee in Crewe but the nice setting outdoors decided for us. Very nice coffee, but its consumption was cut short by rain, but we managed to find a comfortable place indoors to relax and finish our coffee.

I started going to Rhodes Island from the day it opened, the Manager and staff were very friendly and welcoming, sad to say those staff are no longer there and it is going Downhill. Never fully stocked and standards have slipped. No longer run like a tight ship and not as clean as it first was, great shame.

By far my favourite coffee shop and the highlight of Crewe town centre. The staff are so friendly, passionate about providing a high standard of service and efficient and the coffee and food is of a very high standard. It's a very comfortable place to relax in with a great atmosphere and beats the other well known chains hands-down. Highly recommend!

Joined a friend for coffee here. I had specially selected this one as I didnt want to go to the usual chains and always wanted to try it out.

Love this place. I often end up in Crewe town once a week to nip in the bank. I sometimes treat myself to a coffee here. Always greeted with extremely naturally friendly staff (not the ones who’re prepped to ask you “are you up to much this afternoon” whilst paying the bill! Anyway, I digress.)

Another lovely visit to Rhode Island today with a friend, great service, friendly staff and lovely hot chocolate ans cake as ever. Do pop along if your in Crewe town centre. Will be back again soon!

I'm not a regular at this cafe but we popped in today ...it was pretty busy but I'd only been sat down a moment or two before one of the staff came over and cleared and wiped the table for me ...what I was most impressed with though was her attitude, so friendly ...making polite conversation momentarily whilst cleaning the tables , asking me how my day was going , it made my day that someone botherd to ask ...such good staff are rare these days so the coffee shop has got them selves a gem there, there was another young lady making the coffees but my partner orders the drinks so I can't realy say much about the service there.

I've been visiting Rhode Island in Crewe since it opened and I have never been disappointed. The staff are always friendly and work hard to make sure everyone feels welcome. I didn't even drink coffee before, so that tells you all you need to know!

I visit most mornings as it really is the nicest coffee I've tasted.Most places the coffee tastes watery but here it has a lovely roasted proper coffee taste.The staff are so friendly and when they ask about your day it's because they are genuinely care.This shop has a little community where people have become friends through meeting in here.This is what a small town is all about.Much more personal than your average coffee shop.

I find the coffee much better than elsewhere in Crewe. The staff are always very pleasant, there is a good selection of cakes, sandwiches and hot food. There are newspapers, a book swap and it's always clean. Wi-Fi can be a bit hit and miss if that is important to you. Child friendly, has disabled access, (no auto door), and toilets, one disabled.

I come into Rhode Island a lot and I always leave happy! Staff are nothing but hard working and nothing is ever too much trouble. Shop is always clean and I find it hard to find toilets in restaurants that are clean and hygienic whereas Rhode Island always have clean toilets! Cakes and food are absolutely delightful and the coffee is better than anywhere I've ever been. Supervisors and staff are amongst the loveliest people I've ever met! Recommend this place to everyone I know!

The food here is lovely and there is a good choice of food and drinks. Prices are reasonable also. There is seating outside also. Staff are nice too.

Visited this coffee shop for the first time with my four family members. We had a lovely time. We had five different drinks, plus cakes, total cost £25. All drinks and cakes were of very good quality. The staff were very friendly. A very pleasant afternoon. Will definitely visit again.

I love Rhode Island, and prefer them over and above the other "Bigger" companies. The coffee is always good, nice surroundings and pleasant staff....HOWEVER if anyone from the company is reading this, you really must do something about the cake display! They need to be covered up or in a proper cabinet. I walked out this afternoon and went elsewhere because there were flies walking over the cakes. This doesn't give a good impression and you are losing custom because of it.

Always great coffee been going to this place for about 8 months now and all i can say is the staff are very welcoming and nothing is to much trouble and as for the coffee it's hard to find good coffee but here it's always good thank you so much

Even when not particularly busy the Manager seems to be taking orders and passing them over to staff who have no urgency at all in preparing those orders. Disappointing when you are limited to time.

Visited last month and food and drink and atmosphere was wonderful as always but the staff seem to be under a lot of stress i visited a couple days ago and it has gone downhill very fast. All of the staff are always lovely to me and try to have nice conversation with me which I appreciated however the manager is nothing but rude and has an extremely bad attitude. Seems very unexperienced spoke to member of staff very rudely. Please bring back old manager a lot of other customers I know haven't visited because of current manager.

Been a regular visitor for a couple of years now and always enjoyed the coffee and service. However, it seems to be going downhill fast, the last two Saturdays I have had to go back and ask for the tea cake we ordered as we had waited more than 5 minutes and it wasn’t busy at all. Also noticed today that tables were not cleared in the 40 minutes we were there despite there being no Customers at the counter for about 5 minutes at one point. There seems to be no one in charge? Will be going elsewhere next week.

Each time we visit, we are always met with incredibly friendly and conscientious staff. Nothing is too much trouble. No looking around at everything else but the customer. Atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming ALSO the coffee is perfect and served exactly as you would expect from a high end coffee shop. Well done!

I’ve been using Rhode Island for several months, great coffee in a relaxed setting. Excellent choice of food both cold and hot. Add to this the free WiFi and its a perfect place to unwind. Good attentive staff. Will continue to use this gem of a coffee house

In summary this is our go to place to meet as a family...nice environment, coffee, cakes and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Waited 25 minutes for soup and a roll. Asked if it would be much longer and it was clear it wasn't in the system. When it was brought the waitress said "sorry for the delay, it does take a while to prepare". I don't like to be lied to. The roll had been frozen and then microwaved before being brought to us. The middle was still frozen solid. Asked for a replacement and the second one was the same. They had to be reminded to bring the butter. All in all, not good and and won't be back again.

Great cappuccino, lovely butties with interesting fillings. Some cakes are better than others- lemon cake and waffles are lovely but disappointed by St Clements cake which didn't taste of orange or lemon. Love the choice of books to borrow from the back wall. Staff are friendly but sometimes a bit overwhelmed when it's busy, I'm sure they'll improve with experience. Best coffee shop in Crewe.

I really didn't expect to find a top quality cafe in Crewe, but this is perfect for somebody who looks for something a bit better than Costa. I am not a fan of milky coffee, so I'm always wary of ordering flat whites in independent coffee shops. Why? Because often they screw it up. Rhode Island made a great flat white, however, and I will definitely return.

I went to Rhode Island Coffee with great expectations but was so so disappointed. A very poor coffee. There are so many more places in Crewe that serve much better cups. Maybe I visited on a poor day but it will be my last visit.

Been to Rhode Island a number of times since it opened. I have to say the food and coffees are great. But the friendly manner and service by the staff is outstanding. I'm on crutches and they always offer to bring my drink over to me without me ever having to ask. Unlike other places I've been in the past.

We regularly use Costa coffee in the town centre but it can get very busy and overcrowded so me and the hubby decided to try Rhode Island coffee shop yesterday for a change. It was relatively quiet when we arrived and we got served straight away. They have a great selection of hot and cold drinks, cakes and pastries, sandwiches and panini.

The food here is lovely and reasonably priced. Staff are very nice and helpful. There is a lot of variety of food and drinks on offer.

Came to Crewe for the first time to see a show, and found this little gem and it wasn't disappointing , friendly staff, coffee and the carrot cake was lovely, not to be missed,much better than the larger chains....

C**** is too noisy, S******** is too stark and dingy, TBA is too crowded and C******* has too many stairs. Rhode Island is perfect! Rob and his team do a great job of welcoming people and serving them quickly. They will make your coffee just how you like it. I would come here every day if I could.

Average coffee shop Coffee a bit weak and food bland but ok. Staff friendly but preoccupied. There are much better coffee shops in crewe!! All the big chains are better, but would recommend the big Apple for coffee and food!

This is just the kind of place Crewe needs - great coffee and cakes, paninis and light bites all served with a smile. Cosy atmosphere and so much nicer than sitting in one of the chain cafes. Will definitely return.
