Hi all at Lodge Events must say I've been coming to you for years and you and your service never let us down and hopefully will be coming for year's to come 🥂🍻🍾

Booked this hotel through Booking.com, as a place to rest after seeing friends. I made sure I called ahead to check the time for checking in, the beds were all made up for us. Very pleasantly surprised by the spacious room for the 3 of us, we had everything we needed. The gentleman who showed us to our room was very helpful, and even carried our luggage for us to our rooms, which was really appreciated after the long day we had. Dinner was gorgeous, and fairly priced. The breakfast was great, I enjoyed it! There is a park outside for children, although we didn't get to use it, due to lack of time. Would definitely recommend, and would book direct next time.

Had an amazing carvery last Sunday, Jane was amazing nothing was too much trouble, she is credit to the company, I hope she gets recognised for her working ethic. Can't wait to return soon.

BE CAREFUL WHEN BOOKING ON THEIR WEBSITE!!!!! I am extremely disappointed with the shocking service we received. When we booked for afternoon tea, the website provided incorrect information, yet when we showed proof of their mistake, we were refused a refund or voucher to come back. Prior to our visit, we had spoken to someone over the phone, but the reception was terrible, and the background noise made it almost impossible to hear what she was saying. Despite this, the staff showed no understanding or willingness to help. They were dismissive, and completely unaccommodating. We explained that we were happy to find an alternative, but instead of assisting us, they simply told us they had "lost money on the table"—as if that was somehow our fault. The lack of professionalism and basic customer service was appalling. This was meant to be a special experience for Mother’s Day, but instead, we were left frustrated, unheard, and £45 down on a deposit for just a table . Extremely disappointed, we won’t be returning atall.

Came here for food one evening recently. There was a large group of us and they handled us brilliantly. Coming in here feels like stepping back 20 years but that’s a good thing, it’s different to most places but I was most impressed by the menu. There was too much to chose from which is a good problem to have, slight bit of nostalgia with some of the dishes too. The food was brilliant and the portion sizes generous. The staff always had smiles on their faces and they were really friendly and attentive. Our waitress was excellent and had a great sense of humour. There is plenty of parking out the front of the building. Will come back again.

Joined a group for Sunday carvery. At last - somewhere that gives you a hot plate for your carvery. Good food, can't fault it.

Went for a lunch time meal. We pre booked the restaurant. It was very busy. Staff were very pleasant, but there only seemed to be one waitress in the restaurant. She was run off her feet. Our food was nicely cooked and prepared and there is quite an extensive menu. But we were there from 1pm to nearly 4pm due to slow service. It was nearly an hour after ordering, before our first courses came out. That's all just too long. The bar area too is very popular. But again, there only appeared to be on barmaid serving. There is a residential caravan park nearby, so we suspect many residents use the venue for food and drink. Nice venue, but it looks like they need more staff.

Friendly family run business, amazing food and cosy room. Would definitely stay again.

I ordered a medium rare steak but unfortunately it was more medium. Another steak was cooked but this time it was blue, but I did take it home with me and cooked it the following day.

Often pop for lunch this time was an event foe Christmas. A Rod Stewart tribute evening... with 2 coarse meal ... lovely and the staff are so helpful ... food large portions

Sunday carvery absolutely superb !!

Wouldn't go anywhere else for a carvery, plenty of different meats, loads of veg, potatoes and gravy!

Never stayed here however I've eaten here a number of times and the food is always brilliant. Really nice place, reasonably priced and very friendly staff.

Really nice place. Popped in for lunch on our way to Tollesbury to break up the drive. Food was great Good atmosphere. Staff friendly

Usually meet there once a month 12 men all old workmates. Always comes up to scratch. They also take Blue light card(result)👍👍

I ordered Spaghetti Bolognese. It didn't look like Bolognese usually looks & after a couple of mouthfuls it tasted strange. It was burning my mouth & I thought it was chilli con carne. I mentioned it to the waitress who checked & apologised that the two dishes had been muddled up. I was asked if I wanted something else & that I wouldn't be charged for a meal or dessert. I didn't fancy a different meal, but had some ice cream. The thing is I can't eat hot or spicy food & the small amount I had was enough to upset my stomach to the extent that I spent the whole night being ill both ends. Two days later I still don't feel well.

Family meal there. Good food and service.

Excellent location, with attentive staff, The Wedding we attended went smoothly without an issues. Great team effort.

Good size carpark Check in at the bar Was asked for my name the young lady behind the bar started to deal with me then the landlady said she do it but then went to serve someone else at the bar !!!! Then 10 minutes later when Check in told the young waiter to show me to my room ! My room. Up a flight of stairs above the pub Was given most info then Room was an OK size As was the shower room . Bed comfortable enough WiFi was terrible Shower was OK Went down for the evening meal asked to sit in the restaurant but was told to sit in the bar area and remember my table number to order at the bar !!! Once given my order I asked for a vat receipt and was told it was on the card receipt which it wasn't! So went back to ask for a till receipt then made to feel like I was putting them out by doing so !!!! When the food came out had no cutlery. Didn't know that you had to get it yourself! Food was good some excellent choices and good value. Breakfast not included but could add if wanted Location is in the middle of nowhere but a few nice walks about. I wouldn't stay again because of the service received!

Great location for visiting RHS Hyde Hall and the area in general. Lots of parking and a very clean and spacious room. The pub and restaurant are really good too, with friendly staff and some great local real ales.

Great family-friendly location, loads of room for the kids to run around and play. Only complaint is that the service in the bar was very slow and you had to stand in a queue that nearly stretched out the door.

After visiting at the weekend for a celebration of life that was held I can honestly say this venue was brilliant. Absolutely beautiful place. Staff are friendly and the food is amazing.

The service in the restaurant was good, and the value for money was good, lovely food

£90 a night to listen to bass vibrating through my room from next doors party isn’t my idea of fun
