Restaurant The New Boston Hotel in Wyre

went last year for an evening meal with friends, the meal was mediocre and the service poor the dining room felt more like a canteen than a hotel restaurant and the bar girl was extremely rood plus the bar shut at 8-30pm

Our Christmas meal well the pate just tasted of salt mains my pork was just fat hardly any lean the veg was undiscribable obviously no fresh produce all frozen muck. The bar prices were over priced. All in all a very bad experience. Would never go there again.

This was not bad, and the price was reasonable....It just could have been better. Staff were pleasant and service was quick. The food (roast pork) was ok but nothing special. Roast potatoes were lukewarm and looked like they were boiled ones dipped in a deep fat frier. Veg was uninspiring (looked like tinned green beans ) with mass produced frozen Yorkshires. A shame. Perhaps the 'chef?' Is cutting corners. Would rather pay a bit more and get quality.

Visited the Boston for lunch with the kids after 2 hours crabbing ordered dinner for the three of us with drinks from the reasonably priced menu £2.95 for kids with a drink and 6 - 10 pounds for the adult meals . Front of house Joan is a really fun of beans happy person who can't do enough for you the ideal person for the job . The food is lovely and quick service makes it even better Will definately visit again and recommend small families do the same for cheap ears on a weekend . The restaurant is open to the public even if you are not staying at the hotel . Thank you very much

We had our wedding breakfast on the 5th of may 2017 and I don't think we could have picked a more professional and relaxing venue in the year it took to plan out wedding .Right from the very first day of enquiry Sue and Linda helped and advised us through every step . The day itself went perfectly ,the food was fantastic ,the staff worked very hard to make all our guests feel at ease and the work that had been put in to decorate the room was faultless . Every single one of out guests have commented on the whole experience and not one has had a bad word .To sum it all up the New Boston "NAILED IT 😀😀" thank you all involved xxx

went for lunch yesterday with my sister we both had steak and chips with onion rings peas and peppercorn sauce it was delicious best steak i have eaten in a long time the staff was nice and polite. we will deffo be returning

Lovely lunch in a very quiet restaurant. I really enjoyed the food, the puddings and the meals were all lovely. Only negative was the temperate, the restaurant was freezing! We had to move to sit near the radiator. Overall a lovely meal

For a member off staff to say we couldn't pick from the specials board due to us being a large party is very bad practice. Only one chef on when the the hotel knew in advance the size of the party is also unacceptable, the food was well below the standard of previous visits. The service was nothing short of a complete shambles, with one of the party waiting for 35 minutes for a coffee, and a member of the party receiving her main meal when everybody in the table had finished theirs. It seems to me that the hotel is obviously only interested in taking as much money as possible for sub standard food and service.

We had a funeral here I would not recommend. The buffet was appalling cheap processed food but they charge a lot £8 a head plus £150 extra for taking up evening time we can't help how long the funeral takes. Only one choice for vegetarians. We got beef, ham and cheese sandwiches on cheap bread also got pickles, crisps, ham quiche, pork pie & sausage rolls (which were no frills or smart price ones) and plain chicken drumsticks. For the price we all were very very disappointed, as the drinks are not cheap either. I don't and will not recommend having a function here.

I went here last week for an evening meal with Two friends. The hotel is clean and a nice welcome. The dining room is quite basic and the menu reasonably varied and reasonable prices . The food was quite good but I had to pay £2 extra for a jacket potato instead of chips and it was inedible . Sorry I won't be returning .

Visited for a meal with my parents. Just the four of us, but being half term thought we had better book. The table had been reserved, and we were placed in a very nice part of the restaurant by the window. We ordered our food and drinks, and The staff were very efficient and friendly. The food was very good, excellent value. We had ordered two mixed grills, one scampi and one gammon. With two rounds of drinks and two sweets, the bill was under £55! All in all the evening was very enjoyable and we will certainly be going back!

Called in for lunch what an amazing find lovely staff food cooked to perfection and plenty of it will certainly be returning ! Dining area spacious and clean relaxing atmosphere parking straight outside

We Went for a meal on Sunday and we weren't disappointed. My husband had the Sunday dinner and there were new potatoes as well as roast, 3 veg, 3 different meats, and a yorkshire pudding and plenty of it. I had the crispy beef in black bean sauce with rice there were also carrots and peas. It was all very nice. The staff were pleasant and polite. As we were leaving it was getting busy so it might be best to book. We have been once before and stayed. We will definitely go again.

Went to the new boston with 4 adults and 3 children. The food was over priced and average. The children were playing quietly but we were told that the children must remain seated as "its just been painted".Not sure what that has to do with anything be we will never be eating here again.

Had an amazing meal, a must have is there sizzler's as they are amazing, staff are brilliant and will visit again and again......... Room that look over towards the sea are beautiful. Linda and Sue are so helpful and friendly as are all the staff. Reasonable prices all the way through. Love the hotel......
