Had a very tasty chicken burger and fries today,, freshly prepared and didn’t have to wait long before it got delivered to my table. Bright and spacious, this restaurant is a bit of a hidden gem in Kingston.

I recently dined at restaurant On 3, and I was thoroughly impressed with both the food and the service. The highlight of my meal was the fish cake, which was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The side of creamy spinach was rich in flavour, complementing the fish cake beautifully. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for an enjoyable meal. The staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring that every detail of our dining experience was exceptional. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a delightful dining experience.

I went to the restaurant/coffe with a friend and our babies. We’ve purchased drinks and food. I was approached by waiters telling me food that’s brought from outside can’t be consumed at the restaurant and I was trying to feed my daughter with few present allergies and intolerance. This is discrimination I would simply understand if we haven’t ordered any food but we did. Spoke to the manager-Chrissy, not customer friendly at all, not interested at all in the chat with rude body language. Poor customer service

Terrible experience , the soup was cold watery and tasteless except for every Chefs coverall , sliced garlic, putting in its unwanted appearance and becoming the star of the show! Add the rock hard bread and a potential dentist bill and you are done. We will not be returning , it’s a great store but the food options are awful.

Hungry, lunchtime, It was suggested we try this new place on the 3rd floor. Lovely and airy it was.! That was about it. Chicken burger - NO chicken? Tonic water None? Settled for the Quiche which was not very good, dry and sad looking, with some chopped salad on the side. Fish and chips, would have been superb, had we been advised at the till all condiments were on the wall. AND help yourself, The food came eventually (not that busy) I asked politely of the gentleman who had brought the meal to the table, PLEASE may I have some vinegar. Manners! With a wave of his hand as he left our table, OVER THERE BY THE WALL HELP YOURSELF was retorted. My husband is disabled I am no spring chicken (which you did not have on the menu , just after 1 pm. ) . I then had to walk half way across the restaurant to collect the condiments. Then from anywhere, the gentleman appeared and proceeded to pass me two sachets of vinegar which I refused as I had now ventured to the table myself, he was TOO LATE! And yes on my return the food was not terribly hot. Airy - Aircon, maybe did not help . Which would have been fine if I had not had to go walkabout. The staff at the till were friendly and apologetic, very professional. Shocked at the price of the Victorian Lemonade, horrendous. Such an awful lunch, really with so many places to eat in Kingston we will choose more carefully next time.

Visit here about once a month as is a good place to bring small children. Good kids menu/picnic bag offer and nice and clean and spacious and friendly staff. However hot food takes quite a while to arrive and the portions of the main meals are very small for the cost. Pizzas look good but haven't tried. Overall could be great but food disappointing for the price.

Well come and ask me if I want to change my order then.dont try and hope i wont notice...they are quite different things....would you serve me a burger in a bagel ? I think perhaps you would. Lovely place, decent food and friendly and polite staff. However, very long waiting times. 30 mins today to get a portion of fish and chips from the kids menu and a pizza. We were starving. Restaurant was less than 50% busy. Kids menu is £9. That's expensive compared to other places like Pizza Express (£7.25) or Franco Manca (under £6). When it came to the dessert I went to collect the ice cream, the waitress took a large bucket from the freezer and took a good few minutes to scoop some out. I asked her if we were not having the branded ice cream from the freezer in the kids menu section as this is what we were offered 2 months ago, she said no, it should be this one, obviously the cheaper version. I'm sorry, your kids menu is very expensive for one small main, a drink and the cheap version of dessert . Maybe you should look at your pricing. We won't be back I'm afraid which is a shame. I agree with previous posters, restaurant is quite empty now.

Terrible experience. Waited 25 minutes for a soup and a grilled cheese sandwich. The soup was cold when it arrived! Asked for the manager twice but she didn’t speak to us. One server argued that the restaurant was busy… less than 25% of the tables were in use. It was a Monday lunchtime 1pm not sure what they were expecting. Multiple servers standing around but only 1 chef. We were not the only customers waiting and complaining. Took a lot of discussion to get some of the cost refunded. Recently taken over by a new company. Have previously loved this restaurant for both lunch and coffee but will not be returning.

Very poor. The layout is awful, you get your food then have to wait 10 minutes to pay for it and once you have eventually sat down it is cold.... Asked the staff about the poor system and they blamed Covid-19 and social distancing but it has nothing to do with that. Either open more tills or restrict the amount of people in there. Food is decent but it is like eating in a crèche and does not fulfil its potential. Such a shame that this place is a disappointment.

...versus the hustle and bustle of the Bentalls centre and central Kingston on a manic pay day Saturday, the restaurant on 3 was a pleasantly calm place to eat at. Not entirely sure about the staffing levels and the 1 person on a till who spoke poor English and was pretty slow wasn't great. However, the guy doing the fired pizzas was super friendly, and the pizzas themselves were pretty good actually, as were the chips which were freshly cooked...the only down side was that the toppings on the pizza are very stingy...4 tiny slices of sausage on a pepperoni pizza! Also very confusing with their wine offer...it says a glass of wine can be added for £2.50, but all I could see was little bottles of wine in the chiller but no pricing whatsoever. When I got to the till, they told me the bottles were a higher price, so I asked for the glass of wine. Sadly when served, this white wine was served warm which is utterly ludicrous! This is just such a basic schoolboy error! Places like this have such an opportunity to do so much business but do themselves a dis-service with a massively disjointed food & drink selection, far too little information (eg. pricing) and poor execution of the offer...the desserts looked pretty amazing for example, but I didn't bother with a donut since again, the pricing was missing for this. Get the basics right, and this could be a nice haven from the shopping manic-dom in Kingston town centre, so much room for improvement, but our experience was OK overall.

This was our first experience here and will definitely be our last! Overpriced, appalling food and terrible service! Had to wait ages for a new batch of baked potatoes to come out, took 2 staff to make a terrible job of preparing potatoes and toppings. To their credit they did cover the plates with silver covers in an attempt to keep them warm. Then had 2 queue for ages to get hot drinks and pay. Took almost 40 minutes from start to paying!! It cost £18.50 for 2 potatoes and 2 teas! When we eventually sat down, and lifted the lids on our lunch, the potatoes were anaemic, hard, straight from the microwave, cut into 4 quarters, luke warm and swimming in a plate of melted butter! My daughter had asked for a feta tomato and avocado topping - it was mostly warm mush! The tea was loose leaf in pots, however the strainers within the pots didn't work so ended up with lots of bits floating in my tea. I did not have the time or energy after waiting 40 mins to eat to take it all back and complain. I would have asked for a refund if there was a staff member available and I was not prepared to queue again. I will never eat here again.

Restaurant on 3 is very convenient if you have young children as there is spacious seating with high chairs, an area for children to plan and its on the same floor as the baby changing facilities. The drinks are ok, but the food is not great, there are a limited number of options which are not very imaginative and they seem to stop selling food quite a long time before they close. On our latest visit we went for breakfast and options were limited to not much more than a traditional English breakfast or a bacon roll whereas many of the local independent cafe's have a more interesting and innovative menu for a similar price.

The roast dinner consisted of humongous lumps of beef that were tough and cold and the cauliflower was undercooked and hard. Left feeling queasy. A Wednesday on Spring Half-Term holiday and we ended up at Bentall Centre Kingston Upon Thames with a couple of hungry young girls around 1.15pm. We left the shops and headed for Level 3 at Bentalls to give their cafe a try - we had never visited before. There is a children's island of pick and mix food selection just as there is at John Lewis but it is more like a picnic snack selection. So instead we went for the first option presented to us which was the oven baked pizzas where there is a deal for two. We also had a mini bucket of chunky chips which infact wasn't charged for. I had to remind the cashier to charge for my medium Americano. The girls had sparkling water and Lipton Iced Tea. No its not cheap but what do you expect at Bentalls? The kitchen seemed to be staffed by a number of Italian males. The hot food counter looked a bit tired by the time we were there. There was also a salad bar which the children didn't fancy and a freshly made sandwich counter with a selection of fillings for your choice of sandwich. There were a number of tables vacant for us to choose where to sit, mostly cleaned but some waiting cleaning. Also noticed a children's play area and a cold water station. It was bright and comfortable and good condition. The pizzas had a slight home made Italian feel and taste but nothing stunning. Chips were okay but quickly became dry. Coffee quite tasty. Sparkling water from Wenlock Edge Shropshire. Bottle of Lipton Ice cost over a couple of quid. We tried it, we cleared the plates, we enjoyed it but we won't be back in a hurry unless we want to reduce the weight of our wallets rapidly. It definitely reminded me of the John Lewis restaurant although we have only been there once as well so probably not given either of them a proper decent try yet.

The gammon was totally fat, there was no gammon at all. No Yorkshire puddings available, told ten minute wait, food put under a heat lamp, 25 minutes later finally got our meals, totally dried out with with cremated Yorkshire. Veg was all still hard, the half a roast potato was rock hard. The only thing that was ok was the hot chocolate was hot. Would not recommend. This was at 12.15 lunch time a time you would think all would be ok, never again

Me and my partner have been doing out Christmas shopping in Kingston, lovely area but I wouldn't ever recommend eating here, I never write poor reviews but this is an exception as the food the first time was terrible. We both got the breakfast so the normal sausage bacon harsh browns tomato and egg, the food looked fine but the service was terrible and we was waiting for so long our food went cold! I would of taken the food back but we was in a rush. The second time we went here I got a tuna jacket potato and my partner got the same, we was with another couple that got jackets to, all four jacket where hard and undercooked the some placed even cold! The fillings where limited so wasn't enough for the size of the potato, and my partners jacket had a hair init This is not expectable due to the fact it came to over £30! With drinks! In the garb on the Bentalls website it says; Look no further than the new Restaurant On 3 for a place to eat and relax when shopping in Kingston. Whether you’re taking a break with a glass of wine & one of our homemade specials or catching up with friends over afternoon tea, Restaurant On 3 offers something delicious for everyone!Housed in a location next to the toddlers clothing on the 3rd Floor this place is a magnet for mothers (parents) with pushchairs and their young children. The menu lists a number of hot and cold options along with the usual drinks you can find in any café styled establishment. As it appears that I am the first to review this place let me set out a few things. The décor is of a modern minimalist design full of greys' and whites' with less than comfortable seating. It's self service and it has absolutely 'no' charm. We opted for the carvery which was dished up with dried and cold vegetables. The meals went back with a demand that they were not to be warmed in the microwave. Which as it turned out they tried to do - and so they were sent back again! Finally some 15 minutes later the two meals arrived and having only eaten the meat and one potato - we left the rest. And all of that for £9.50p each meal. I would recommend that people give this place a miss, unless you have young children! There are better alternatives inside the Bentalls Centre and an even better number of choices in Kingston Town Centre.

We booked the bottomless brunch on the 31st August. We was expecting a live DJ as advertised on the website. When we arrived there was no DJ and when we asked about it we was told that unfortunately the DJ cancelled. We was told we could play music through our phone! They then took ages to serve us our drinks during the bottomless timescale, and overcharged us on our bill. They also charged us a service charge for very poor service! It was a massive let down, especially as this was part of a hen weekend. The place was empty aswell & i'm not surprised. I wouldn't recommend.
