Costa Coffee Within Next in Kingston upon Thames

I had a wonderful experience today at Costa in Kingston. I came in with my friend and our two babies. Adrian and Naeem were so kind and considerate. They really made our day!

All the staff were very helpful and made a perfect cup of coffee, it was clean and tidy and will back soon.

I travel a lot for work and vist Costa Coffes around London and South West at least 2/3 times a week. Costa Kingston is the best Costa Branch by miles! The staff is ALWAYS nice, friendly, with a smile on their face and genuinely caring. Never let me down once. Thank you for being so kind and friendly, it really does makes a difference! You're my fav spot and will keep visiting every time I'm in Kingston x

I am very disappointed with the service at this Costa. I am a regular customer at Costa but I will never return back to this store. I asked for small hot chocolate with cream at the counter and when I was being served with the hot chocolate there were two staff that had told me I didn’t pay for the cream. They had consulted with their senior & he mentioned to give me the cream with the hot chocolate. One of the staff mentioned they ran out of whipped cream which seemed bizarre and then mentioned they only had vegan whipped cream, which I was happy with so I replied “okay that’s fine”. Yet they decided to give me the hot chocolate with no whipped cream! The food was really dry too! Worst service ever! If I could I’d give 0 stars but unfortunately I can’t!!!

Went in for a cup of hot chocolate. Didn't have to wait long to be served.

Staff insisted that a small drink was a medium. Forgetting that I can visibly see the cups.

I was waiting for my coffee but was forgotten about and when I asked about my coffee I was made to feel uncomfortable for asking why they forgot to make my order, I had to leave the store and lose my money but I will be making a complaint once i have posted this review, costa really needs more competent staff as I won't go tk this brand again!

I bought Terry’s Orange hot chocolate. They ask for a cream, I said - yes. When I received my drink they didn’t give me the chocolate bar (which normally included) and orange sprinkles. When I ask for candy they gave me it but face expression of the girl was not really friendly.

The service was simple without a smile, which means really pretty straight forward. I carried out an inspection and found out that the drinks wasn’t made on brand standards. As you see from the first picture, most of my hot choc was way too frothy as a result the hot choc liquid was below the middle. If you ask me how do I know that, I ate just the cream and then you gonna notice from the second picture where the amount of liquid was. Is really frustrating and sad of paying something really expensive and enjoy less. This needs to be changed. Also baristas did not have a name tag on.

Always love a Costa but at half 3 I would have thought they'd have the outside seating area set up. It's actually why we went there but were disappointed

The hygiene rating of 4 displayed in the window of this branch is not surprising. Tables not cleared, rubbish on the floor, coffee luke warm and toilet disgraceful. Surly service.

Most required at this location. Gets busy with long queues inspite of a bunch of branches in the vicinity. This store has a M&S food to choose from as well. Ample seating but had to wait for a while with food in hand. 😏 Outdoor seating available. Toilets available.

Go here on a regular basis when walking my dog friendly staff and always willing to help.

There are more seats hidden around the corner inside and there are plugs for your laptop/phone

The barista was very kind! I ordered hot berry infusion and didn’t enjoy it, she happily made another tea for me, and she told me the cold berry infusion tastes nicer. Thank you!

Nice little Costa in the market place. It looks smaller than it is as there's additional seating behind the counter to the right but it does fill up quick on the weekend.

Good costa to sit down relax and enjoy the view, although it is kinda small and only one loo is available.

Service was very friendly. We had a croque Madame and a pastrami sandwich for lunch. Food was tasty, fresh, generous and well presented. Value was reasonable too. A really nice quick lunch. But coffee wasn’t the best because I would like it to be stronger.

I went on a Saturday to meet my boyfriend's sister and we had 2 soya latte each, however he got really sick after we left, he is lactose intolerante and didn't eat or drink anything either before nor after Costa, so the only possibility is cross contamination with milk. I was so disappointed seing him so poorly. Not going back there.

I didn't go in here, I sat outside, same as any other Costa I imagine, over rated and over priced

All appeared to struggle with English. The Manger was more interested in her mobile phone than looking after customers and ensuring the place was clean. Very poor Costa.

We have had coffee here before and it’s always been ok. Today unfortunately there was only one staff member on. She attempted to make my daughter a drink twice and failed both times. There was a long wait and she was under pressure to ensure that the waiting time was as short as possible. If you are going for a basic coffee or tea and one of the cakes made off site , I am sure it would be adequate. Just don’t ask for the unusual.

Good place to chill over a coffee on some days but the coffee varies so much. Not the best hygiene either!

Reasonable coffee at regular Costa prices, staff were slow to server and the coffee was slow to be made. At the time the cafe was quite, staff just spent to much time talking amount themselves.

Not brilliant. Witnessessed staff member kick some rubbish under the drinks cabinet instead of picking it up. Same staff member too busy chatting away in own language to friend and not serving. Overheard customer ask for a knife to cut sandwich and same staff member said they had no clean knives despite their appearing to be 2 other staff members out the back and half empty cafe.

You can always find a seat when all the other Costas in town are busy

Service is a bit slow here. Also, a lot has to be said about the rags that are used to clean up the milk steamers here. I think cafes like these should utilise disposable rags or whatever hygienic alternative possible as opposed to what is being used now.

A cosy spot to enjoy a great coffee

Quieter and more spacious than the Costa on the Market Square and consequently a much better place to hold a meeting.

This is a review of the costa coffe, market place KT1 1JQ. (Can't find there review page. Costa constantly are providing great customer service even when they are rushed off there feet Keep u the hard work!

Good quiet Costa with nice staff. I recommend OPS coffee if you like coffee. It is Costas premium coffee and costs 20p more. As there is no outside seating or much footfall the pervy Arab men don't go here to eye rape women.

Friendly staff, a little on the small side, but because it's not quite so well known it's a little quieter than the main Costa on the other side of the market square.
