Scumbag move to leave the toilets locked with a code. It's designed to only allow customers access, which I know is their right but is in bad faith to the community anyway. I planned on buying a coffee after I used the toilet but I couldn't open the door and it said vacant so I couldn't understand why. I've recently been having bladder problems that haven't been diagnosed yet so I ran to the toilet and didn't consider the possibility I'd need it unlocked for me. Whilst I was struggling to open the door I went unnoticed, perhaps I should have called for help but it didn't occur to me yet this was anything but a stuck door. Then I pissed myself through my trousers and onto the floor. The staff sort of ignored me without apologising. I sat down on a seat because I just wanted to be unnoticed and I know I shouldn't have because of my condition as it would spoil the seats. Eventually a staff member politely asked me to sit outside because there'd be customers sitting there. 1 star because such a toilet policy is hostile to the community and the staff deserve 2 stars, 1 star added for civility and politeness, the rest not given because they obviously aren't trained for the situation of someone desperate for the toilet.

My 15 year old daughter needed a toilet and staff wouldn't let her without buying something. Awful sense of community. Will make a point of going elsewhere when I'm next looking for a coffee.

I am very disappointed, I come today in the morning, I was really need a toilet, I am pregnant and the guy didn't let me to use it he told me I need to buy something, it's it really I couldn't believe it,I am working my self at Starbucks kingston we always letting is really need for people the guy wa so rude

Good coffee shop from the Costa Coffee chain. They have good coffee and pastries, sandwiches, etc. The Christmas season items are highly recommended, they are delicious. The staff serves very well.

Roasted Hazel Hot chocolate is so delicious..! Nice, polite staff.

Very nice staff. Clean shop. Ordered the blueberry bubbly. Didn’t look anything like the picture at all and tasted like water mixed with milk. Don’t waste your money on this drink.

Customer Service at Costa in tolworth is the worst. I asked about a reward in my Costa app to the lady there and instead of explaining me, she asked me back what I think the reward is.. very rude and pathetic behavior..

It's a standard dull chain of coffee shops. Worth finding an independent further up the High Street.

Crying into my empty hand! Costa opened late this morning and I had to leave the queue outside to catch my train. Left me no time to even get water in the shop in the station. Given trains are only 30 minutes I had thought it would open promptly but alas, no drink whatsoever this morning. Dying on the hot train…

The coffee shop was tidy and clean. It is positioned so that people can easily gather, being close to a railway station and main roads. The drink was what is expected from a major supplier, but the sandwiches were nondescript. I would recommend it for a good venue to meet with others.

I always receive great service here. Welcoming and pleasant atmosphere. Sometimes the shop gets busy with customers so have to wait in the queue but it's okay. Recommend.

Great coffee shop with friendly staff

First off let me start on about how badly Anna (the manager) makes her hot drinks. It tastes different to other branches. The coffee was bland and it was lacking a coffee taste. She makes the hot chocolates bad as well; it’s really watery and it’s like there’s only a drop of milk in there; lacking a lot of the chocolate flavour.

Lovely experience. I usually go in there sometimes to get a hot drink with my mum or my friends and when I go in there, I always see this barista; I think he said his name was Abraham. He was so nice to talk to and very friendly. He works very hard. You guys are lucky to have him!

The service from Patrick was out of this world, he a great person we had a lovely chat and the coffee I got was out of this world 🙌🏾😀

They charge me more for oatmilk than for normal milk . Absolutely disgusting! They almost charged me for a bigger drink which is absolutely outrageous! They charged me for a medium mango frappe then gave me a small salted caramel.

Today I visited Tolworth Costa Coffee. Whilst there I had the misfortune to overhear the manager/owner Sam berate and belittle a customer. A young lad about 17/18 apparently attends the Costa regularly for a length of time and only buys one drink. I overheard the man named Sam saying I love being an owner so I can tell them to Fu&k off. He then proceeded to tell the boy infront of a store full of customers that if he sees him again he’ll kick him out. The boy was so embarrassed and the man Sam came back down laughing. I had to leave I was so appalled. Who know what situation this boy has going on in his life. He must just be there to get a little warmth or be among people. I have never felt so disgusted. I will never visit again.

I cannot praise Munaf and the team highly enough. This Costa coffee has a lovely friendly atmosphere and the staff go above and beyond to make every single customer feel valued and welcome every time. On top of incredible service, they also make perfect coffee! Thank you so much to the team for all you do.

Customer service it's just OK, it's shame that in all of the Costa coffee shops it's full with Untrained employee, company must do something about it, to hire the right people it's better future for the business and of course better for customers as well.

Thursday morning 11th August we visited this branch of Costa. We had spent the night in the Travelodge, above here, and were in need of a decent cup of coffee before we left the area. Went to counter to order our coffees and were greeted by a very cheerful and polite member of staff. We ordered two flat whites, rarely changes creatures of habit. Scanned the loyalty card, then went to pay and was told had sufficient points for a free coffee, even better. Once coffees prepared we found a stool in the window, overlooking the street, good people watching spot. The coffees were as expected, full of flavour and a drinkable temperature. There was outdoor seating on the pavement as well inside, there was additional seating upstairs on the mezzanine floor at the rear. The fridges and shelves were well stocked and the serving and seating areas were clean and well maintained.

I am a huge lover of Costa and been too so many. But this one is my favourite. The staff are wonderful, it's cosy, perfect space you don't sit to close to people, great coffee, and it's just the way a coffee shop should be! Love it!

I was walking past the Tolworth branch today 9th Aug around 5 pm just after it closed. The staff had just taken the table and chairs in from the pavement and were inside mopping the floor. I knocked on the door to inform the staff that they had left a lot of rubbish outside on the pavement that was clearly Costa cartons of food and drinks. The staff just looked at each other and completely ignored me. Clearly they don’t give a dam about the environment or Tolworth Broadway. I will now be avoiding this branch and suggest other do too! Costa if you care about your reputation sort out your staff.

Honestly every single visit I have had to this branch has been a fab experience. Staff are always friendly, smiley and so polite. You can see they're a great team which is important for customers to see as part of having a welcoming environment. Orders are dealt with promptly and coffee taste yummy! The branch is clean and seating / tables are always kept tidy. Thank you so much for allowing us to have a brilliant experience every time we visit.

Had an uber pick up a blueberry Muffin and a mango bubble frappe which I have delivered about 3 times a week, today however my frappe today had NO MANGO BUBBLES in it. I was so disappointed. Update 6,7,2022 Also today ordered a mango bubble frappe and again would u bloody believe it no mango bubbles. Tolworth u need to start sacking some staff or training them. I didn't even get any mango sauce on top of the cream it was like a cup of cold icy milk with a bit of mango sauce in the bottom of the cup and whipped cream on top. NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER AND WILL NOT BE USING THIS STORE AGAIN.

Put a delivery order in by Ubereats, when the order arrived a nuber of items were missing but showed on the reciet so they were paid for. Not the first time that Tolworth Costa has been wrong. Looks like a place to avoid if they can't put items that are on the bill in the order.

It's the first time I've been to Costa at Tolworth and I'm very impressed at how friendly the staff are. So much so that I'm writing this positive review and I never write reviews. 👍

Munaf is the best Costa employee I have ever seen or met! He actively shows interest in the customers, is warm welcoming and hardworking (never just standing around) always replenishing stock, cleaning up. Talking to people. I highly commend this member of staff as a valuable asset to this store and the company!

Very bad customer service. Two ladies worked there and they were so rude and angry. I dont like to come back again to this costa.

Save your money and go to ANY other coffee store. Rude does not even begin to cover the staff in this store - why have a customer facing role if you hate customers? Go find an independent coffee bar that welcomes its customers and doesn't make you feel like they are doing you a huge favour by serving you

I've never been so poorly served in a cafeteria. Ridiculous. I think this unit was abandoned in the hands of an incompetent and still rude manager.

We recently moved to the area and started frequenting this Costa. It’s a shame it’s the only coffee shop in the area as the service is outrageous. There is one blondish woman who is there every time and she is the antonym of customer service. She never smiles, maybe she thinks it costs her money, always rude. Every time it’s something different- why she needs to repeat herself, why we asked for dairy alternatives and today was because I asked her not to put the lid on my lukewarm hot chocolate to which she barked at me. It’s ludicrous that she works with people, if you don’t like your job, quit! The rest of the team however are always polite and professional. It’s a shame that this one person destroys the whole experience every single time.

27.10.21 - called here today with a friend, the grumpy female assistant now appears to be acting as barista (possibly to limit her contact with customers?). However, that hasn't quite worked, she still managed to grumpily order my friend to put her coffee down so that she could arrange the cup holder - it were as if she was speaking to a five year old child, rather than a paying customer! The gentleman working behind the counter however, was very polite and curteous - thank-you. Just a note - neither servers were wearing face-coverings, despite dispensing food and beverages to customers. It may at the moment not be obligatory to wear face coverings, but I don't find it confidence inspiring when staff serving the public food and drink choose not to. 23.07.21 - I'm writing a update to my previous review, below. Unfortunately the coffee machine in the adjacent M&S remains out of action, so I thought I'd give the Costa another try. I really wish I hadn't - the weak coffee persists, but even worse than this is the negative attitude of one of the servers. I could only partially see her name tag - Apana . . ? Store Manager. She really needs a course in customer care; ask for anything slightly different, e.g. extra hot, and you are met with a pained, grumpy expression, as though she is doing you a favour rather than you being a customer paying for a product. I definitely won't be going there again! It's a shame, as the other server, a younger woman, is very pleasant and helpful. I went there this morning (14.07.21) as the coffee machine in Marks & Spencer a few doors down was out of order. Very disappointing bland, weak coffee, more akin to drinking warm milk. It is also significantly more expensive than the machine dispensed coffee in Marks & Spencer. It's quite a poor reflection on the quality of the coffee when coffee from a machine is superior to that made by a barista.

No social distancing by customers eating in which sit without masks right next to the queue. Understaffed and the poor staff that are there too busy preparing orders for delivery to serve customers in the queue.

West Ealing Costa abides by the social distancing rules and has friendly and efficient staff.

One server had their mask on their chin, the other had their nose out, wiping their nose with their hand and not washing their hands after...

Terrible Service!!! Now I love a coffee and Costa is a good but the service here is awful!! Gimme your money and get lost. Unpleasant, unhelpful and no customer service!! Don’t ask them how their app works and if using your own cup wash it before you go in. This is now not part of their service. What an unpleasant experience.. avoid if you can

The manager is very rude and unprofessional. She has no management skills and doesn’t know how to deal with customers. She repeatedly got our order wrong. I believe she did it on purpose because we weren’t regulars. Very disappointed in our visit and certainly will not be returning.

Very friendly attentive staff, who add a personal touch of informality to make their customers feel welcome. I particularly enjoy having my flat white coffee on the upper tier, whilst catching up on my jobs list for the day or reading the paper.

Excellent location. Interior excellent. Very modern looking place. Service very good. One of the better Costa coffees around this area by far. Highly recommend.

Fast, friendly & quality of food

This isn't the cosiest of Costa's but if your doing a quick shop in Tolworth it is the best place to grab a coffee. Chai latte being drink of choice after a decaf cappuccino. Staff are quick and always friendly.

Unfortunately , I am a regular at this Costa Coffee but have never been so disappointed with the drinks I just ordered as a takeaway. It was a chai latte, hazelnut latte & a white chocolate latte and they all tasted the same... like water.. What a waste of money! It was obviously something different in the way they were made as it was new staff.... I pray they improve ... as unfortunately we all threw our drinks away as they tasted like the watery dregs & we went to Starbucks instead!!!!!!

Tuesday afternoon 3rd September and we visited here for a coffee. There were 4 tables outside on the pavement, the ashtrays on the tables were full of cigarette butts, not very appealing, did not create a good first impression. We went inside, there was a small queue, service was a bit slow, but eventually our order was taken, 2 flat whites £2.80 each and 2 chocolate chunk cookies £1.60 each. We sat on the stools with the ledge by the front window and watch the world go by as we enjoyed our coffees and cookies.The coffees were very good and the cookies were rather scrumptious. First impressions were not very favourable, however, it redeemed itself with the tasty coffee and yummy cookies.

Marginally more sophisticated than the endless parade of egg-and-chips establishments that make Tolworth Broadway such a mecca for big breakfast fans, Costa Coffee is a run-of-the-mill, unexceptional branch of the chain - but the welcome inside seems genuine enough. You're probably better crossing the green divide down the centre of the road and trying one of the little independents, where the cakes are home-made and the service is less institutionalised. If you find yourself on this side, however, it's worth an hour if you need wifi and a cuppa.

went to for lunch with kids ! my kids ask for a ketchup and one of the guy said £0.10 each ! ridiculous i paid but i never ever go back there again

The manager, very tall dark and handsome, made me the best coconut flat white I’ve ever had with a heart design on top. My mum had a ordinary flat white and we both found the store to be super clean, well stocked with cake and cosy and warm. Will definitely return soon !

Relaxed atmosphere, and generally friendly staff. My one big gripe is they could do with clearing the tables a bit more regularly. You sometimes find yourself having to sit at a table which has dirty coffee cups on it from the previous people who had sat there. I've been in a number of Costa's, and they all seem to be the same on that issue. Their drinks are lovely though!

Nice spot, average Costa I would say lol Good thing we have it though cause overall is the best coffee shop around! The barista got my order wrong and when I said it he made me the right coffee straight away and even let me keep the other one for free! The thing BF and I noticed is that they have newspapers hanging by the toilet, is it supposed to be for people to chill while they're "minding their business"? 😂😂
